This is such a great wee cafe. As locals we visit often - the breakfast rolls are fantastic! The coffee is lovely too and there’s always a delicious home-made soup on offer. The service is extremely welcoming and friendly. We highly recommend it to everybody 😊

We had fantastic breakfast there. We had salmon with eggs and toasties. Nice flat white aswell. The guy serving us explained how they secure gluten free tost from contaminationin in toaster and added that they use new butter and a clean knife for my gf toasties. And everything tasted fenomenal. And all that while being super nice and charming. #celiac #glutenfree #gluten

Great service. Had a cheddar and tomato toasty. The cheese was nicely stretchy. The tea was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed the empires biscuit. The quince ice cream was super interesting. The steak pie was also lovely and flavor and flaky in pastry.

I consider myself an empire biscuit connoisseur, and enjoy travelling the country tasting them in any cafe I visit. The one I had here was easily the best I've had this year. All the components were delicious and in the perfect ratio. A solid 9.7. It would have been a 10 with a jelly tot instead of a cherry, but fabulous nonetheless.

Living locally, I come here fairly often. It's one of my favourite little places to go. Everyone is very friendly and the food is great. They also stock a good amount of gluten free products in thier shop, as well as some really lovely Scottish and local produce. All in all, a great place.

My boyfriend wanted me to try 'traditional' Scottish food. Which is what we did. We arrived and to my surprise it was a very small little cafe, but rather nice too. We ordered Lorne and Tatty Scones each... which were lovely!! I would recommend it for sure! Very tasty and super affordable!!

Had a lovely lentil soup and a roll filled with hot haggis. Prices quite reasonable and food filling. Good when waiting for a train after disembarking the ferry. Very conveniently sited by the ferry terminal on the way to the train station. Do water refills and will fill reusable coffee cups. Do use vegware if there's no room to eat in and you have/want to take out.

My husband and I had bacon rolls and coffee here 2 days in a row, excellent service and delisious freash local food, great staff, the young man who took our order even remembered how I like my bacon. My food allergies were taken seriously. I will definately visit again and recommend, my husband said the flapjack was the best he had eaten.

I visit this cafe about once each week. The staff are always so friendly and the food served is always great. Fresh local from Argyll. Great before covid. Great now during the pandemic. Looking forwards, one day, to a sit down meal there again.

Honestly one of the best experiences I have had at Henley. Our waiter Andy and his helper a very handsome Pete were so accommodating and a lovely. Would recommend to everyone for a lovely relaxing experience.

We searched for the best breakfast (or brunch, to be fair, we were looking for a late morn8ng breakfast) in Oban, and hot breakfast rolls from this little café came up. We went along, found what looks like a foodie gift shop more than a cafe, but sure enough around the back of the shop is a café area, and their hot breakfast rolls were just fantastic. It’s a take-away, so grab your breakfast rolls and it on a bench watching the ferries, we did, and it was lovely. We had tattie scone & bacon baps, and flat whites, and we were so surprised - these are the best tattie scones we’ve ever had. Great bacon too, and the flat whites were surprisingly great, all in all, a very reasonable price in an unexpected spot for an excellent breakfast.

This is the best Scottish breakfast ever with locally sourced quality ingredients at such a reasonable price. Just so good. Actually I think it’s been one of the best cooked breakfasts I’ve ever had. We had been looking for somewhere in Oban to have breakfast and I’m certain this has to be one of the best. Home made tattie bread, top quality locally sourced haggis, lorne sausage, black pudding, bacon and sausages. Breakfast rolls available with a choice of breakfast fillings. I wanted a full Scottish breakfast and they were happy to provide this even though it wasn’t on the menu. Staff so friendly and helpful. Due to covid restrictions, takeaway only available. This wasn’t a problem for us at all. Took it back to the campervan and plated it up. If you’re after a Scottish breakfast with top quality ingredients at a reasonable price then you’ll get all that here.

Almost worth going in just to chat to the lovely staff! We were a fussy group of five all wanting slightly different things and on three bills. It was no problem for the staff. My family were so keen to return here that two of them had independently checked it would be open in view of current circumstances. We were all happy to accept it was only take out. How could we not want to eat from here with all its great locally sourced food!

I had a roll with fried egg & yummy potato scone from here. My partner had sausage and black pudding on his and they were both first class breakfast rolls. The coffee is local and it was magic! They have a variety of lovely fillings and also lots of local produce to buy.

It doesn't look like much from the outside but if you've been searching for a great tattie scone or breakfast roll then this place is for you. So friendly too.

Having come to Oban during two storms, there was a daily need to shelter from the wind and rain. I read about this place and my girlfriend and I went there as soon as we got off the train. We were there for three and a half days, and we returned twice. The place focuses on local produce, with coffee from Helensburgh and cheese from Kintyr, which was exactly what I wanted. The food was nice and well priced, the staff were attentive and gregarious without going overboard. It's a nice, little hideaway for those looking for authentic, sustainable produce.

Almost by accident we found our way here and we were glad we did. We both ordered Cullen Skink ( a haddock & salmon soup) which was out of this work tasty, For dessert we had slices of carrot cake and malteazer cake. It is always good to see an eating place promoting local produce and a chart on the wall shows the origins of each product sold. The place does not look much from the outside but it is more than worth a visit

I love this place! Such friendly, genuine staff, and excellent food. While it seems to be a local favourite, they welcome travellers - they even have a world map & some stickers so travellers can mark where they’re from! The food was brilliant, best breakfast I’ve had in Oban. All the food is locally sourced in Argyll, and they have a board listing all the local businesses their ingredients are sourced from! It’s fresh, well-cooked and great value. Highly recommend their hot smoked salmon or their black pudding with some fresh eggs on toast! Only thing I’d like to see are some juices on the menu, but that’s just me. The coffee was good too! All in all, highly recommend you stop past. It’d be my first stop for a brew on my next visit to Oban!

We ate lunch here on a bitterly cold Friday lunchtime, it was very busy but we waited and got a seat, our toasties were very tasty as were our coffees, the young enthusiastic staff really make this place.

Lush little café right by the ferry terminal. We got coffee here a couple of times and the staff were lovely and friendly and the coffee and cakes were delicious. Also sells a lot of local produce which was lovely to pick up for bringing back home. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is a hidden jewel of Scottish food, located in the Oban ferry terminal. It was small but the food was delish! We had a lunch package of haggis toasties with nice hot soup with very good value of money. The service was marvelous, we had a great experience there.

We were looking for a simple lunch while waiting for the ferry and I remembered this place, actually in an adjoining unit to the Calmac terminal. The cafe is a coop venture by several Argyll producers - and the first thing you notice is the encounter with the ebullient, friendly, very helpful staff. They a recommended their soup/sarnie/drink for a fiver deal. A fiver! Two kinds of homemade soup available - leek and potato or veg and barley,and big chunky toastie on quality bread and stuffed with Mull cheddar. Plenty of carnivorous options too. Large mug of tea, no silly wee cups, and we were very happy. Loved the groove, and see that there's a wide range of quality deli goods from the producers on sale as well. Very, very, very good, and maybe whatever road, train or boat you're on, the map on the wall highlighting the different businesses might encourage you to explore more local Argyll foodie outlets, part of the fabric of a fragile, rural economy. Biadh blasta, fàilte ghasta! Tasty food, fine welcome! What's not to love?
