Five Rivers Á La Carte offers a delightful fine dining experience with delicious and high-quality cuisine. Whether dining in or opting for takeout, the food is consistently fresh and flavorful. Personally, I've been a loyal customer for many years since the restaurant first opened , indulging in their delectable dishes both at the restaurant and through delivery at least once a week. My go-to dish, the Karahi paneer, never fails to impress, and the award-winning Punjabi saag is a close second. The naan breads are always a highlight, boasting a delightful freshness that perfectly complements any meal. While the starters, particularly the tawa tikki with chaneh, are a delicious way to kick off the dining experience, I do find the portion size of the naans a bit small. However, aside from this minor critique, the food consistently exceeds expectations with each visit. As for service, there's room for improvement, but it doesn't detract significantly from the overall dining experience. Overall, Five Rivers Á La Carte delivers first class cuisine that satisfies the palate and keeps patrons coming back for more.

Went there last week on a cold and wet Tuesday and was just what we needed. The menu is full of great options so I’m sure no one would be disappointed. Our food was full of flavours and was plentiful. The service and help from the staff was excellent. They made sure we had an enjoyable evening. A really nice date night spot for those looking for fine dining with great authentic food. Will be returning.

The service was really good and the food was beyond Amazing, definitely a good place for a special occasion. Duruf (not sure on spelling) was brilliant server and friendly and efficient. We had Lamb, paneer and side dishes and everything was cooked to perfection. I definitely recommended the Keema.

Absolutely insane food; my favourite restaurant. My boyfriend wants to break in to the kitchen to thank the chefs the food is so good. Dhruv was an absolutely fantastic server. 1000/10 would recommend.

We absolutely LOVED this Indian! The food was so tasty, the service was second to none & the decor and atmosphere was perfect! 👌 We highly recommend trying here and we would definitely go back! The portions were really good and the food tasted delicious 🤤 the lamb chops & tandoori jhinga starters were particularly good! All of the curries were amazing & we shared a rice and naan bread between two people, which was plenty. The cocktails were really good too. The service was so good with lots of little touches like; taking our coats, laying our napkins on our laps, pouring & topping up our water, constantly checking we are happy & just overall fast, efficient service. The decor and atmosphere was lovely. Done to a really high setting, we loved the bar & a pianist was playing popular songs which was a really nice touch. The restaurant is on a one-way street with no direct parking. If you carry on further down the road and take a right just after the restaurant, you'll see a pay and display council car park opposite. It is only a short walk but take a brolly or coat if it's raining.

I think the waitress' name was Neelam, she really wasn't very friendly and did a poor job waiting the table. I asked her for some water which never came, there was supposed to be a pre-dessert which also never came. At no point during the night did she check on us to make sure we were happy with our food or wanted another drink. Both couples either side of our table arrived after us but were served their starters well before us, we ended up waiting nearly 40 minutes for our starters with no apology. I read all the reviews and had high expectations for the food but it was very average and akin to any Indian takeaway if I'm truthful, for the price of £50 per head it was underwhelming. To add to this, I wasn't pleased about the automatic £10 service charge so I can reward this below average dining experience, it left a bitter taste and I can't say I'd visit again.

The service, atmosphere and options are just incredible. We enjoyed every course and we will 100% be back…multiple times.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at 5 Rivers, and I must say it was nothing short of a disaster. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance set the tone for a dismal evening. The lighting was so dim that I had trouble even reading the menu, and to add insult to injury, the temperature in the restaurant felt like I was dining in an icebox. I could practically see my breath. The service, or lack thereof, was another major letdown. Despite the restaurant being eerily empty, the staff moved at a glacial pace. It was as if time itself had slowed down within those four walls. A one-hour wait between starters and mains is simply unacceptable, especially when there's no apparent reason for the delay. Now, let's talk about the highlight of the evening – the food. Unfortunately, it was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. The sheek kebabs resembled more of a Sahara desert landscape than a flavorful dish, as they were inexplicably dry and tasteless. The chooza makhani, on the other hand, was a perplexing mix of flavors; the overwhelming sweetness left me questioning the chef's understanding of balance. As for the lamb rogan josh, the dish seemed to have mistaken itself for a vegetarian option, as it contained a laughable three bits of lamb. I had to play hide-and-seek with the meat in each spoonful. As if the appalling dining experience weren't enough, the prices at 5 Rivers reached new heights of audacity. Charging a jaw-dropping £4 for poppadoms – a dish that is practically a giveaway in any self-respecting Indian restaurant – is a clear indication that the management is living in a financial fantasyland. In summary, 5 Rivers is a restaurant that manages to combine a lackluster atmosphere, snail-paced service, and a culinary experience that leaves much to be desired. Save your time and taste buds, and consider dining elsewhere if you have any regard for your dining pleasure.

Really lovely restaurant, there was a pianist playing music which was amazing. As well there were about 12 people and catering was on point. Do suggest going to this place.

Service was very slow, food not as good as it was when it was catered for my sister's wedding. Also not enough food going around, especially when there is 10+ people. Disappointed to be honest because I was very impressed at the wedding.

Review back on due to not even an apology after several emails to another party member. Absolutely swore by this place until we booked a table for 13 on Saturday 16th December 8 out of 13 of us come down with food poisoning Food wait was over a hour after ordering Some guests complained about the lamb to the waiter after the meal and they give attitude of shrugging their shoulders and didn't care I think the bubble has finally popped for this place and will never return The food price is also extortionate

I couldn't fault the food, service, or atmosphere. We've been to a few weddings which were catered by Five Rivers. The restaurant lived up to their high standards.

When we went there, one of the staff member asked to park in a parking and he showed where it is. Later it turned out that it was of someone else and after 10 days I received notice to pay £60 for parking there. I called restaurant to verify and they just refused to take any responsibility for what their staff member did. On that day when we went to eat there, we received our food very late (after asking them few times). Nobody gave any update about food and staff member ignored us. It was my friend’s birthday. We were not happy with service and they just apologised. We paid full bill (no discount or compensation provided). Food was 3/5 but the service was not at all tolerable. Also, this parking issue was being ignored by them. I am not sure if I am going to suggest someone to go to Five Rivers.

Would not rate this restaurant as fine dining restaurant at all. It is a normal restaurant serving average indian food. Have visited twice now and both times its been disappointing, over priced and on our second visit even got a parking ticket as insufficient and crowded parking area, had to park on the street outside, no clear signs indicating private parking zone.. overall just a poor experience, certainly nothing like a fine dining experience. Won't be visiting again.

The food is really good especially the vegetarian options. Can be a bit noisy but I guess that is the price of popularity. I’ve been before and I’ll go again.
