Spice River in Walsall

Disgusted with attitude of Manager We always use Spice River, Today we ordered King Prawn Korma £9.50 Chicken Passanda £7.95 & Chicken Tikka Masala £7.95 Sauce, Naan etc fine but 4 prawns for £9.50 5 small bits of chicken in Masala 6 small bits of chicken in Passanda Tubs full of sauce but 4 PRAWNS? less than half a chicken breast in each chicken dish!!! I called to complain, they spoke with chef who stated he puts 8 prawns in & 8 pieces of chicken in each. I asked If believe chef or customer, he said what can we do. I said at least £10 should be refunded from the £41 cost. I was offered £10 off our next order, I explained we wouldn't order again as might get a problem again. The person on phone spoke with manager again but refused to refund £10. I asked If happy for me to leave a bad review & would never use them again & just said thank you. What a rip off, If I sat Inside I would have sent meal back! Customer service shocking, I have been to Spice River many times over 3 years, once before had a problem & used elsewhere but last time was good so ordered again. I have talked with staff inside & been nice chat, so to treat a regular customer like this is shocking & I hope you close down for ripping us off.

Food here was absolutely delicious, couldn't fault it. Tried a chef speciality dish and it must have been the best I’ve tried! We will definitely be back!

We didn't actually go there we had it delivered,we were so looking forward to our meal as spice river was recommended to us,unfortunately it was probably 1 of the worst Indian takeaways we have ever had,I had chicken balti,it was only luke warm and it contained 4 pieces of cold and tough chicken,there was more onion than anything else, my mrs had chicken shashlik starter and it was again luke warm and very tasteless and salad was limp,unfortunately we won't be having a takeaway from there again.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent experience. We visited as a family on new years eve and although the restaurant was extremely busy everything was superb and all the guys made sure that we had a great time. Great food. Great prices. Very tasty food and good portions. Staff very friendly. Only negative is that the table we sat at was too close to other tables and felt squashed in. Would still recommend though but this does need looking at.

We have, after multiple take-aways, decided not to use this place again. The food just gets worse but we keep giving them the benefit of the doubt. Last night our order was bland and poor. Yoghurt mint was very watery, and keema naan was tasteless. Food was very poor. Will not be using again. Shame.

This was our first time ordering from Spice River and it’s the best takeaway we’ve had in ages. Thanks all for the lovely food :)

Been there today and must say very disappointed with the portion and prices were very high! One naan was like 3.95! Just to give an idea! Definitely not visiting again neither recommending anyone.

we love a Take away couple times a month... Spice got recommended months ago by a close friend, but loyally we stuck with our usual take away... Well we finally gave it a go... we've had half a dozen now. so its time to sing their praises... so it wasn't a first new customer order.... quality/price and delivery 5/5 simple as that...

Visited here on 2 consecutive weeks with 2 different parties of friends. Greeting was excellent and we were shown to our table. The front of house staff are friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Service was with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was plentiful and very tasty. They are always helpful and you are able to make slight amendments to the menu to suit your taste. This is the best Indian food that I have tasted in a long time

Just ad a lovely meal at the spice river restaurant the food was the best I've ad for a very long time. The staff are very well manerd and very friendly and helpful. I've ad loads of take away food from here also

My favourite takeaway. Never had a bad meal from here. Staff are always extremely pleasant and the food always tastes amazing, great spices and always as described. Portions are great and food always arrives nice and hot.

You know when you try somewhere different and it impresses, then again and perhaps again, but eventually it tends to slip? NOT this one.... weeks pass and our once a week takeaway of various differing dishes just keep on delivering. We have experienced many good, a few great and many not so good... River Spice stands head and shoulders above them all... Long may they continue... and long will we continue to purchase our favourite meal of the week!!

Heard reviews about this place and couldn’t wait to give it a try and what can I say!! Absolutely fantastic food and service. Chicken Naga was class! Hot and spicy but full of flavour. Can’t wait to return again.
