Sunil was rude and and aggressive when we had food and had little to no respect for their customers, my partner felt very threatened and was uncomfortable and had to leave

Food was amazing here really enjoyed it. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Large pub with its own parking.

Just pretty lame to be honest. There was just no freshness of herbs or depth of flavour. A filling but unexceptional meal. A real anticlimax.

Amazing pub. Really friendly staff, with a nice atmosphere. Brilliant mix of people; young, old, men, women, kids, black, asian, white - always welcoming. The food is stunning too, the grills and curry’s are top class. The HPA is the best pint in Walsall, always consistently great.

Busy pub but bar does not serve in turn, I assume regulars first. Food was not as good as 6 months ago. Grill was ok but nan bread cold and doughy

I ordered a takeaway via Uber eats,on26/5/24. Ordered at 14.36,food should have been delivered at 15.05, as priority. Order was delivered at 15.38...LATE & CHILLI CHIPS WERE RAW,I THREW THEM AWAY.😡 DISAPPOINTED!

Shredded nan and the curry was a container of red water and oil. The whole meal went in the bin as it was not edible. It was however delivered promptly and warm.

Still great quality sizzlers and real ale is kept well, a nice regular visit these day's. Good curries and sizzlers still up there, with fine ales. Still good value for money and well kept ale. Still great quality food and ale. 👍

I am sorry to have to say that the quality of the Cod Fish pakora is a rip off! For £10.00 there is hardly any cod in the battery. This used to be their signature dish. Won't be going there until the standard and portions are value for money!

Absolutely great customer service and great food!!!….my brother came from barking to mine in streetly to celebrate his 40th and my sis in law was so impressed by the communication a week prior ( she rang for enquiries) that we decided to order from King Arthur. The food (£200+ order) was made to order in about an hour and when we collected, the member of staff was so polite and courteous and even helped transport food to car. All the family were extremely pleased with food and will happily order from here in future.

Great mix grill and curries. Definitely go back one of the best in Walsall area. Outdoor seating also which is good for summer day.

Whether you order on-line or order inside the Establishment for a take away or even eat there the service is always great and so is the food. I normally get a mixed grill which has so much depth of flavour i never have anything Else. My wife always has a Biryani, don't get me wrong, they have a great Menu but you like what you like. I have nothing Negative to say about this eatery/Pub

Always excellent fresh food. Currys are always thick and tasty with generous amount of meat. All portions are generous especially mixed grills and fish pakora. Good selection of drinks available and staff are friendly and welcoming.

Lovely hot balti and HPA & butty bach on draft

Visited early evening March 15, 2023. Not been here in 20 years, now a Pub and Grill, Asian owned. Service good and meal was on our table within 15 minutes, staff attentive. Excellent medium mixed grill and lamb curry plus 2 pints Stella for my mate, who was in envy of my mixed grill when it arrived. Could do with more spice or corriander but otherwise perfect. I am surprised by some negative reviews, I can ony conclude there is no pleasing some, or they come from competitors. Good priced menu too. Definitely will be back.

My best place for Indian food. Always the best, I've been going there for 7 years and never been disappointed. Staff is so kind and friendly. Mix grill, butter chicken, sarson Ka saag, daal makhani and so on.......yum yum yum. Recommended. I've tried some other places nearby, but I always come back to king Arthur Walsall.

Away with work and me and my colleague decided to eat out. Wow what a place the food is amazing the best curry I've ever had . Simply the best. Don't change anything. Be back soon . Give it a twirl you won't be disappointed

Very busy Friday night. Didn't book but staff very obliging had to go to sports bar as 3 children in our group. Went early 6ish asked to choose from 3 tables. Great food. Our Children 16,14.11. We all loved it. Left 8..oopm . Would go again perhaps not friday .

8 of of 10 for the curry, but the staff were lovely, and we had a great night. Very relaxed atmosphere. The mixed grills coming out smelt amazing.

The tables were dirty and sticky, we all had to sit separately not together in the party we booked for. The food we were told would be served away from the main bar, the bar was full and football on. If we knew this we certainly would not have booked a family meal. The food was good just the setting wasn't good at all.

Really nice staff, helpful and very accommodating with my sons nut allergy. Good size portions of food especially with two growing lads appetites. Worth visiting if looking for a drink for adults and food for family.

We have just had a great mixed grill at the King Arthur. Loads of food. We had the large mixed grill with massala and chilli fries as sides. Amazing value at under 40 quid. Food high quality and at a great price. Three of us eating would have easily fed 4.. Would recommend anyone to come here. Staff are very friendly. Thanks guys ⭐❤️💯

Absolutely love this place. Always accommodate all 9 of us at the drop of a hat. Curry is top notch, I definitely wouldn't go anywhere else.

Our mixed grill was excellent, really delicious. Unfortunately, our mains came out extremely late and the big problem was the lamb madras. Firstly, unlike any madras I've had before. A madras is a tomato based sauce, however my madras had never even been shown a tomato. Sadly, the biggest failing was the amount of salt that had been used in the dish. The first dish came out and had to be sent back because it was almost inedible because of how much salt was in it. The second dish came out and again very salty, but slightly less than the one before. Such a shame as it was a great night, let down by an inedible curry.

Well I can’t actually review my visit because they refused to take my booking over the phone. Apparently they only take bookings for 6 people or more. Just thought I’d let everyone know. Oh well. We will go to the Kajal which is nearby. They are happy to take bookings for any number of people.

Tried for first time as live near by had a mixed grill to take away very very greasy and salty had a very upset stomach and spent most of next day on toilet not good at all I’ll stick to my regular place from now on .

Over-seasoned food gives you stomach ache next day. Really poor service and staff. Wouldn't recommend.

Food list and delivered at wrong address -rang the pub and guy wasn’t interested to help. Food finally had to be fetched and was stone cold. Chicken was tough and not fresh. AVOID This place.

Came for a birthday meal with my sister, told to sit anywhere then we were moved to a table in another room. We then watched other people after us get served before finally being offered 1 menu between us that was laminated and dirty. We were given a pad and paper to write our order on that had been passed around other tables. Wait for food was long, we finally got our food and drinks after being there 90 mins! Food portions were good but everything tasted the same and was very salty. People were mixing between tables another group was sat next to us who were too close no one cared in there. The track and trace details had to be written down using same pen everyone else used, I was refused giving my details as they said only needed one, this is incorrect especially as my sister Durant live with me. I did not feel safe in this venue at all, we booked on the basis of their website which I'm sure was taken in another place as it looked nothing like it at all! So if you want to be ignored, feel unsafe and aren't hungry and can wait 90 mins for food in a shady atmosphere go ahead and visit, otherwise go somewhere else

curry's are great, mixed grill fantastic great value for money been there several times never fails to impress.

Me and my partner booked a table last Saturday at 8:30 pm and it was very good, we had, salad that was fresh, mixed grill, chicken saag, Punjabi chicken, pilau rice and a cheese nann. I could not fault it. Football was on and we did not mind groups of people talking and relaxing. Its called being normal which we need to get back to. So we booked again. Kind Regards, Chris & Sarah

we booked a table for 8.30pm ,we went early so we could have a couple of drinks,there was a line at the bar you was supposed to stand behind to be served no was standing behind it they were going straight up close to the bar none of the bar staff was telling people,there were groups of men sitting together all right next to each other,when it came to 8.15 my partner said at the bar we have a table booked for 8.30 ,she bought menus over and cutlery where we was sat (which was the bar area) we moaned as we didnt want to sit in the bar and eat after 10 mins of moaning they said we could move so they had not reserved a table for us at all,we ordered the large sizzling mix grill ,masala chips,garlic rice and a curry between us ,when it came the sizzler looked impressive as we started to eat it it got saltier and saltier till we couldn,t eat it ,the masala so called chips were fries and even they were salty i love salt and usually put it on anything i eat but i didnt put it on anything because everything was far too salty ,i complaind to a member of staff ,he didnt realy want to know all he did was bring us another portion of chips out errrrr we could,t eat the first lot so why would we want some more salty chips this place has gone down hill will not visit again

Everything was bland!!! We are indian, punjabis... We spent £60 for our order and my sister was with me who spent £35 on there order... All of it was rubbish... I. Being polite. Its not the first time we ordered here, definitely is the last. It was bleurghhh!!! NO FLAVOUR, NO SPICE, NO NOTHING!! I with my family went yesterday 8th March sat at a table which had been left full of other people's plate which is fine l went to order drinks and ask if the table could be cleared when they had a chance it's not what the bald headed guy behind the bar said to me it's the way ha said it I'll do it when I get time

My wife and myself attended on the 18 thou February we ordered 2 courses and a drink you could tel, it was freshly prepared as we had to wait a while but was worth it my wife ordered the samosas and we were expecting to receive just the plate with a samosa and little garnish well what we got was 2 samosas with chick pea curry side and fresh onions ,I had masala sizzling chicken wings and received 5 in number on a bed of sizzling onions with a couple of dips , main course for me butter chicken delicious and fish curry for my wife along with a couple of lovely naan breads unfortunately we couldn’t eat all of the main event as we had eaten al, our starters so we we’re full but when we return we’ll leave out the starter

Went to the King Arthur on Saturday night and had the best mixed grill ever. Staff are really friendly, good selection of beers and all our food was excellent Usually this type of place get the grill right , but the curry's are a let down, but the King Arthur excelled in both. The portions were so big we asked of we could have a take away box , which was easily provided We'll be going back very soon

So my friend and I decided to come here as there’s been an influx of Desi Pubs “Pubs that serve Indian Food” in the Area and this one came recommended. We’ve been a few times to the Hen and Chickens in Birmingham and expected the same.We weren’t disappointed.It’s not a massive menu but there’s a good selection of dishes that won’t break the Bank. My mate’s a Vegetarian so he went for the Mutter Paneer and Basmati Rice, I had a try and even though it was mild it was a really nice taste and flavour.I went for a Snack of Chicken Tikka on Naan. This was also quite tasty. Both dishes came out quickly and as mentioned before didn’t break the bank.£13 for a whole meal of Curry, Rice, Naan and Drink is good in my book!I look forward to coming again for a proper meal!

We were put on a tiny table that was squashed up against the cupboard with all the cutlery and plates in. Hardly had any room and there was only 2 of us sitting. We waited just over an hour for our food, which was only 2 curries and 2 rice. When the food arrived, the waitress didn’t even know which curry was which. So we had to guess and taste them for ourselves, not great as what if one had been allergic to something in each other’s food. The food was okay, but I will not be returning as the service was so poor.

I am pleased it is my local pub, as the Indian food is really delicious, not pricey and the selection of drinks is satisfactory, too. I took a group of friends from abroad there and they really liked it. Keep up the great job, guys. Thank you!

My wife and I went to try the food as we heard how nice it was and we wasn’t disappointed, we both had different mains and both were very nice, we had a small mixed grill as a starter that was lovely too.The staff were nice and the place was clean but the seating was not the best.There were a few tables suitable for eating but the rest were just like small pub tables that you put drinks on, it is a sports bar in the end that does food.Don’t get me wrong we would eat here again as the food is really nice just a shame about the seating.

We visited a couple of weeks ago on a Monday evening and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and service. Plus, it’s 2 for 1 on a Monday and Tuesday for curries. We were so impressed that we decided to book a family meal there this week. Even though there were 11 of us including 3 children, the food was served all together and was fresh and piping hot. This is such a lovely pub restaurant. The staff are great. Friendly and efficient. We have just told our neighbours about it and they are going to try it. I’m confident they won’t be disappointed.

Good food and equally good service. We all had curry dishes and enjoyed it very much, although our 11 yr old daughter couldn't finish her curry so we were allowed to take it with us with cartons provided. Good atmosphere.Cant fault it, we will go there again.

Jones I cannot speak highly enough of this place, this is only my second visit but we brought family this time as we were that impressed on our first visit. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the food is out of this world ! I will definitely be returning !

I've eaten here three times and overall love it. I did have a Punjabi lamb curry and the meat was so tough it was inedible. Mixed tandoori grill is superb value. Onion bhaji s are huge and delicious. Yes I would recommend it, but I've not been back since Nov 2018, put off by that tough meat.

Visited this bar with a best friend and my son who is from University visiting. Whilst the bar is old it has that unique feeling. The staff are so friendly and helpful, great beers, but the food is very good indeed. Really tasty we loved it. Thanks kindly

Decent mixed grill but portions are small for a Punjabi grill and prices are a bit steep. The actual pub is pretty nice and the service was good. Also served good quality beers and ales.

Wow what a gem! Friendly staff, good price on drinks and the food was amazing. The price was pretty amazing too. Ate our full and were surprised how cheap it was. The madras in particular was fab! Well worth a visit.

Not the best by a country mile, I often go to Desi pubs and this is one of the worst, the beer is really kept well, but compared to others close the food is a major let down, basically go for a beer, not a munch

Went for an early evening meal as a family of 4 . We had booked but it was empty of people eating but the bar was busy. We ordered at the bar , i asked for a vegtable balti but was told as it wasnt on the menu as such , they didnt have the veg ti make it but could take the veg from another curry but it wouldnt taste the same so i passed . My father ordered a mixed grill and fish and chips . I ordered 2 lasagnes , chips and onion rings. The server asked if we wanted our meals together at which time we replied yes !

Have visited this pub a few times in recent months and, while the food has been good, the service often leaves a lot to be desired, however, we visited on Wednesday 16th May for an early evening meal. We arrived at 6.40pm and there was one person seated waiting for food and a group of people drinking at one table, so we ordered our meal and waited. About 10 minutes later two people came in and placed a food order. Their food order arrived at 7.10pm with still no sign of ours and at this point only a handful of other customers had come in some of whom had not yet ordered food. At 7.15pm we queried where our food was, since the people who had come some time after us had already been served. The rather surley waiter we spoke to went off to enquire and came back to say that because I was having a grilled chicken breast, it took "more time to cook" (than my husband's chicken madras meal?) but would be out in a moment. We continued to wait, and the meal finally arrived at 7.30pm, 45 minutes after we sat down when the pub had been virtually empty. Good job it wasn't full or people would have been waiting all night.

Dont expect a restaurant this is pub/grill. Thats not a critisism though we knew this and wasnt disappointed. Beer good, atmosphere good (football was on at the time). Grill was lovely and curries nice too. Perfect for a few pints, watch a bit of footy and then a nosh up after. Looking forward to our next visit.

The service is spot on, the quality of the real ales is amazing. The food is varied from Indian to English cuisine and is all to a high quality.

I've eaten here before and the food is good. It is, however, a sports pub that has football on in their 2 rooms. I live locally and like to support my local and my son and I visited on Sat evening to watch the Premier League. I am from Manchester and was hoping to watch the top of the league City play away at Everton. I appreciate its a Midlands pub (close to West Brom) but the Baggies had already played I forgot about Villa! Now they have 2 rooms so I asked nicely if they could put City on in one of the rooms to which I was rudely told no. The previous landlord always had the evening KO on in the back room but that isn't the case anymore. Didn't bother eating! Won't be going in again.

First time visiting this evening and was not disappointed. The fish pakora is probably the best I’ve ever had. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. My wife had the chilli chicken and found it too sweet for her taste. She usually has it quite hot and not like the sweet dish that was served here. We will be returning as we want to try a hot curry. Great first visit though.

Last minute choice to come here

We had really excellent food at the King Arthur. The Sizzling plates are absolutely delicious, excellent value and plentiful. The menu is great as there is choice of Indian or English Cuisine. The steaks and burgers were also really good.

This was our second visit to the King Arthur, when we first went we were a little dubious as the satnav took us to the middle of a housing estate. I have to say, the food is fantastic! Really reasonably priced and so much of it, small sizzling grill has a huge kebab, 4 chicken wings, 3 x boneless tikka thighs and a bone in tandoori piece of chicken and costs just £4.99, a must have are the masala chips, slightly spicy but Superb.

Well the pub is nice and service is prompt, But we ordered 2 curries, and the meat was basically boiled meat thrown in, The spices were not bad, but the quality of the chicken was extremely poor.

The King Arthur is an old school pub that now serves Indian food. I have been here on many occasions to drink and the beer selection and quality is great as well as it being a great place to watch football. The decor is dated but if you want something old school this is a great choice.

It was awful, the curry was bland as hell and the chicken was cheap. Also, the rice was not fresh, it was microwaved. The grill wasn't too bad.

Spotted this on our maps whilst visiting walsall on a weekend away for the xmas markets. So glad we went. We had a small mixed sizzling starter between 2 which was excellent. We then had a chicken bunha and a chicken madras with rice and chips. Well it was amazing the best curry we've ever had n we've had a few. Staff are friendly and as outsiders in a local pub we was made very welcome. Only fault we had was the wait between courses but the food was excellent so 5 star ive give. Will defiantly return if we come again.

Firstly, you need to book as there are limited places. The 'restaurant' itself is an elevated section of the bar. You order drinks and food from the bar. If you like Bangladeshi/ Indian food and real ale, you are in heaven.

A delightful pub/ grill selling excellent food (with an Indian influence ) and good quality beer. Wye valley HAP nor to be missed. Staff served with a smile and couldn't have been more helpful.

Visited on a Tuesday evening. We shared a large mixed grill. The meat was over spiced and did not feel or taste as fresh as it could have been. Very disappointed in what was served to us. Even my friends, who are regulars, agreed it was not to the usual standard. Good selection of ales though.
