Rickshaw indian takeaway in Walsall

Husband ordered, when arrived told they didn’t have his order even though had proof on his phone he’d spoken to them for1.5 mins to place his order. They said wouldn’t have taken order for chapatti as they weren’t cooking them, so basically called him a liar! When he asked how long would his order take, 1.5 hrs!! No apology or offer to push through. Shame cause always enjoyed food but another one crossed off our list to use. Had Chinese from jasmine house next door instead.

Food ordered at 6.27pm After 3 phone calls it was delivered at 9.30 pm with items missing If it hadn’t been paid for when ordering it would of been cancelled Very disappointing

Never fails to provide excellent curries. We eat a lot of Indians and always rate Rickshaw’s amongst the top.

Have been going here since it opened many years ago. it’s very good unfortunately having moved away from the area it’s always my go to when visiting family. I struggle to find anywhere that comes close to rickshaw near to where I live. I’d give the place 10 out of 10. Prices are more than fair and delivery drivers have always been friendly and polite. Takeaway delivered 50 minutes late, luke warm and missing a main meal. Phoned up to complain. They said they'd phone back (presumably because they were too busy) but they never did. Very poor.

We order regularly online,everytime its 40 - 60 minutes late rarely with an apology,tonight 45 mins late, poppadoms so broken they were bits,and onion salad missing,the most annoying part though is when you call to find out where the food is and they ask you to hang on while they answer the phone and take another order

I ordered a plain curry sauce to have with sides as Im a vegetarian.I was eating the leftovers today and I found small traces of chicken in the sauce! It’s disgusting and made me feel ill! I don’t know if they scooped some sauce out of a chicken curry or cooked it in the same pan but it should be separate.

Ordered two main meals with Nan breads, one was a chicken meal other was a lamb meal, chicken meal was ok, lamb meal was like chewing rubber, nice sauce but ruined by the tough, hard and tasteless meat

Me and my family have been ordering from Rickshaw’s since I can remember. We’ve tried many other places as a one off but always come back to this!! I have a cousin who drives for half an hour just to get Rickshaw’s because nowhere else compares!! Ticks all the boxes for a perfect takeaway :)

Ordered Tawa chicken, kebabs and Nan bread. The food was very nice, arrived hot, chicken was tender and kebabs very tasty.

The food was really good. Ordered online, took 2 1/2 hours, even after phone calls to find out where the order was!!

Very impressed. Ordered on line and paid on line and collected it. Was recommended by a friend and was full of flavour and just the right about if spices etc. A good varied menu. The shop looked very clean too and the young guy who served me very friendly . Will definitely use them again. Normally prefer to eat out but although we are unable to now, may have to stay in more and do take away

Great takeaway veg biriyani full veg. If I could fault anything and it is not a fault bit mean on the onion salad but just order extra one not a problem ... Will return.

We frequently have takeaway from here - the food is exemplary. We have occasionally collected our food but 99% of the time we have it delivered which is mostly on time.

First time having a takeaway from Rickshaw. Was not disappointed. Drove by the shop a few times and thought it looked really clean, vibrant and somewhat different.. All of that can be said for their food too. After ordering online we were given a reasonable delivery time and the meal even came a little earlier than expected which was a nice change. The meal itself was presented perfectly, the starters in cardboard trays, opposed to plastics, it was fresh, no grease and so tasty. The mains equally as good. Spicy, but not overbearing and again really flavoursome. They even gave us a complimentary rice and extra poppadoms which was a nice surprise. The delivery man was really pleasant and after ringing back to thank them for a great meal the chap on the phone was great too. There are so many mediocre Indian takeaways around these days, credit where it’s due this is up there with the best. Will definitely be back for more. Thank you.✌️

We eat from here every Saturday the food is excellent it's reasonably priced plenty of dishes to choose from the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty and superbly cooked well recommended.

Had a lovely conversation last night asking if they could prepare something vegan for me. The chap I spoke to was very helpful. Told me what was in their normal base and offered to make one suitable for me. When the meal arrived I had been given a separate bag and in it was my order plus I’d been given complimentary poppadoms and onion salad which I hadn’t been expecting. The food was lovely and I really appreciated the ease at which I had been accommodated. Thank you very much.

Better than my local, these guys make the best saag paneer. They’ve got the magic touch on this one. Great takeaway. Friendly service and a spotlessly clean front of house.

Been coming here for years and I don’t think we have ever had a bad curry. It’s a takeaway only. Always busy (meaning the wait for a phone order can be up to an hour) but it’s always worth the wait. I do think they either expanded elsewhere or sold the business a few years ago but the service remains the same even though some of the faces have changed.

The food used to be brilliant but it's gone downhill over the last couple of years which is a real shame. The staff are always helpful. The rice was ropey for a while, but has got better. Unfortunately there have been too many errors in recent times and the food has not been as consistent as it used to be. When it's good it's great, but it used to be good all the time, now its not.

Great food very tasty and good portions great staff very friendly local to Streetly but parking can be abit tight
