Five Guys in Oxford

Perfect spot for a burger with my Son, the burgers were amazing, perfectly cooked with the exact topping required or not.. A ton of chips, would have shared if we knew. The Reece's pieces shake was awesome. Great staff and clean restaurant. Happy days!!

Nice service, they brought it out quickly, but the bun of the hamburger was very collapsed and there was too much mayonnaise on it.

When we went to order, there was only 1 person working, then a bunch of people turned up and another person made sure orders were put through effectively, so props to the staff there! Burgers were on point, totally well decent scran.. two medium fries was like half a sack

I only order to take away as sometimes it can be full of really loud kids. So I take my food and leave.

The grilled cheese sandwich was very good in taste. But ordering online is a mess, especially when you order a large amount. The fries looked dead and soggy also didn't taste good. The packaging was not at all good. Everything just spilled out. The fries were served in paper cups.

Having been to a number of 5 guys, this was a disappointment. Food was cold and took a while to get the order understood. Even then it wasn't quite correct. Not the usual standard of a 5 guys restaurant.

Staff at this store refused to allow a 3 year old boy and his 5 year old brother use the toilet before I had bought something. Having explained 4 times to the staff that we were going to have lunch there, but having walked for 15 min from the Natural History Museum to the store, saying to the till staff we were coming back and just running to the loo; the manger came over and blocked us from proceeding! He explained I had to buy something before the boys could use the toilet. I said things were desperate and we needed to go now. My 3 year old was sobbing saying he needed the toilet. The manger refused to allow that. So we left and ran next door to the Wimpey who were very happy to accommodate. Even with very low expectations of the fast food industry what kind of person does that! What kind of firm employs those people. So having had a family tradition of every school holiday going to the museums in Oxford and getting a burger before getting the bus back to Woodstock, I will never ever ever set foot in a Five Guys again. Black listed! Well done mr manager! Employee of the month! I implore everyone who reads this to avoid this store at all costs and show them children are at least as important as profits!

Nous y avons mangé 2 fois car le rapport qualité prix est excellent. Les hamburgers sont excellents et qualitatifs et on peut même les personnaliser. La salle et les toilettes sont très propres. Les serveurs sont super sympa et ils ont pris le temps de nous expliquer le fonctionnement car c’était notre première fois dans l’enseigne et il faut dire qu’on est pas très doué en anglais mais ils ont pris la peine de parler lentement. Bref un grand merci à l’équipe qui est super sympa.

I ordered a hot dog and only received half of a sausage in the bun! Very poor value for money. £8 for half a synthetic sausage.

Good burgers where you chose the base burger then add from an extensive list of options, + fries and shakes. Nothing wrong with the food but just too expensive for what it is and in surroundings similar to the ubiquitous burger chains and not what might be expected from a supposedly upper class burger joint. Tip: order small, or at most, regular fries: you will get more than enough.

I popped into Five Guys in Oxford for a quick, decent burger. The time was around half 4 on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too busy. Just wanted a burger and the last time I had one from Five Guys it was good. So I only had a single plain burger with onions. 17 [ Seventeen ] minutes later my very dry and overcooked burger turned up. The onions gave some flavour, otherwise I'd have marked it as a 1. As you can see from my photo not really up to scratch. The staff behind the counter seemed to be doing anything but make burgers. Not acceptable at all, especially with the price.

we love theri milkshakes - its shame they dont do chicken or veggie - just one option. so nothing fir us to try but the milkshake

5 guys isn't a cheap, good quality McDonald's or Burger King and isn't a Gourmet Burger joint, it has a very limited menu and my veggie sandwich (I know, but I didn't fancy any beef that day) and my wife's BLT were disgusting. Chips aren't peeled and over salted and tables are sticky. For what they charge you can do so much better for your money just about everywhere else in Oxford.

Unbusy, clean and spacious dining area, staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was great. I ordered cheese hot and definitely will come back again.

I forgot that 5 Guys serves two patties on their burgers, so that was a pleasant surprise, and their french fries have an excellent crispiness to them. Delicious, but more expensive than I would have hoped for a fast food place.

I originally went in to just order some fries, the server was very friendly and suggested I try the milkshakes. They were really good, just like she said, I could tell it was made from real bananas. The main thing I wanted to write about was the friendly service I recieved, she even asked me if I enjoyed the milkshake. To some it may seem like a little thing, but I really appreciated being treated as a person not just another faceless customer.

Convenient stop for some lunch in Oxford. A nice burger with some fries and 2 milk shakes. A little on the pricy side.

Superb meal, service and experience made better by a excellent host Leandro. He asked if this was our first visit and once he was aware went out of his way to explain in-depth the ordering procedure and different options, even making personal suggestions which all added to the experience. The food and drink was excellent, probably one of the best burgers I have ever had.

Gourmet fast food (if that even exists) authentic American food (if that exists) the best fries you’ll find and a deliciously greasy smash burger will smash your daily calorie goal in one go but you’ll love it, and hopefully the food coma you are put in will make you forget about how you have spent £14 on a glorified maccies

Messed up my order but then replaced it with no hassle for the correct one even tho one thing was still missing but no big deal. But how can u explain to me that a burger and a drink costs as much as a steak dinner… absolutely ridiculous! Standard pricing around the world but apparently uk is special and charges double 🤨

Not the best 5 Guys I've been to. Burgers were just OK and the fries were average at best. Had to wait 10 minutes for the sauce dispenser to be refilled.

The price of the burgers and shakes did not equate to the quality. For more than £7 each the burgers were tiny, the patties dry, a millimetre thick sliver of tomato and few pieces of lettuce were hardly noticeable, and despite having ordered the BBQ sauce I sincerely doubt any left the bottle when our burgers were in the vicinity. And no onions were harmed in the preparation of grilled onion, or at least none were evident in our burgers. The £4+ shake was also particularly underwhelming, thought it added an element of exercise when trying to get large chunks of Oreo cookie through the straw. The only redeeming element was the chips, which were quality and quantity 👌

I ordered a burguer, they sent it without the bread. A burguer without bread is an offense, none of my room mates even wanted that thing. Next time I'll go Wendy's, thanks for nothing.

Last night around 8/9 pm I visited five guys for the very first time, the gentleman on till was very helpful as he explained to me their menu! I ordered a cheeseburger and Cajun fries! I wasn’t sure if I wanted a drink but he was kind enough to let me try it for FREE! So I can choose for my self next time! The burger was outstanding the gentleman selling the order - black shirt I believe he was a manager, very polite and the staff seemed so happy to work! Despite a storm outside! The food in general was amazing!

Great chips, portions are huge. We struggled to share a large between 2 people who are very good at eating. Burgers are fresh, but the price point is a bit high for the quality.

Had burger with all the trimmings and fries today. Excellent burger, really tasty beef with extras that added even more flavour - and really tasty fries. All in all a very good and fast experience. The staff were very friendly and considerate.

Very good but expensive. £7 - £10 just for a burger and £3 - £5 for fries 🍟 and soft drinks were all £3.75 (refillable). Just getting a hot dog next time and take me own drink! 😊

Not convinced and won't visit again. Visited today after being told it's amazing but was left really disappointed. Lady who took our order was very friendly and efficient. When we arrived they were only about half full so can't see why our order took 29 minutes. The chips were lovely I must admit but the prices are very steep. Two burgers, two fries, two drinks, 1 water and 1 hotdog came to £46! The hotdog was very small and my son was still hungry. Both of the burgers arrived cold, overcooked and under seasoned. Interior isn't great either. Seriously cannot understand what all the fuss is about.

The Hotdogs 🌭 are so awesome and full of flavour 😋 and chips are crunchy and delicious 😋

A friend and I choose Five Guys before going to the cinema. I brought the tickets at £23.50 and I thought he'd cover the food for a similar amount , well that was silly. How on earth is it possible to spend £31.75 in a 'fast food' resturant? £8.50 for a bag of chips? (apparently two portions....). Where is the fat? All I could taste was under seasoned, overcooked, lean meat with plenty of cartilage to chew on! No way did the food taste anything amazing for the price. There is nothing special about Five Guys, all hype, Five Lies more like!

We popped in there as other places were too busy and we only had half an hour before our visit to the museum. We could not have chosen any worst. The burgers stunk and were disgusting. They did not serve anything hot to drink. The coke machine was broken so all the drinks were flat and without any gas but sold for the full price. The only actually tasty thing was the milk shake. Avoid at all costs!!!

The Five Guys in Oxford did not live up to our expectations. We do not usually eat at chain restaurants however enjoyed 5 Guys when they first started in the Washington DC area. When we saw 5 Guys in Oxford we decided to give them a try. We were sorely disappointed. Little cheeseburger £6.95, you can choose from a list of toppings. The burger was dry. Little fries £3.25, not enough salt. In our opinion, the Five Guys in Oxford, UK is simply not the same quality as Five Guys in the USA.

The best burger I've ever had..was my 1st ever Five Guys experience, the burger was heaven and the chips cooked in the peanut oil were solid 10/10. Only thing I'd fault are the prices. It wouldn't be a once a week trip for me however once in a while id love to try it again.

Not been to a Five Guys before, so when on one of my very infrequent visits to Oxford town centre I popped in to see what all the fuss was about. I must say the prices seemed a little steep. No menu or price lists at the door, so you have to go inside and upto the counter to see a menu. The cheese burger was ok if looking a little sad and tasted average. The cajun fries were a good size portion and quite tasty! The soda at £3.75 was a little pricey but you do get a free refill. Overall the service was quick, polite and friendly & the staff seemed happy in thier work. All of the above came to £17.45 I must say that I have had better for less. Reduce the portion size of the fries, loose the free soda refill and bring it down to around £12 and it would be much better! Just checked my receipt and I was charged for and given a regular portion of cajun fries even though I asked for a small portion.

Difficult to rate this....the burgers are great don't get me wrong....but £35 to feed myself and my nine year old in a place with the ambience and cleanliness of a badly run McDonald's franchise??? Left wondering if it was worth the money.....

Worst five guys I’ve been to. Burger was massively undercooked to the point it made me feel ill to look at.

Never had a fault with five guys! The burger are out of this world. Sooo juicy and full of flavour. The atmosphere is top. The stuff are brilliant, friendly and they know their hygiene routine! I even saw the grill guy wear two gloves and changed them regularly too. Never have i felt so happy with each order. When you get a large chips MY GOD! You do get a large and more, they practical fill the bottom half of the bag with chips! 😋😋 love it. Love the fact, on the wall it shows where they get their potatoes from in england. Five guys is truly a place to go for a good time and good food. 👍

The staff were polite and professional and understood when we needed a moment to decide what we wanted. The cheeseburger and fries were perfect. Nice big fat juicy patties with the toppings of my choosing. Loads and loads of fries. Everything reminded me of my stay in the USA. Costs a little more than another certain burger place but tasted 100% better, so worth the extra money.

Had dinner as take out and wasn't really worth the £77 to feed 4 people

French fries is delicious. I feel it's better than most of places in Oxford. Also their strawberry shakes is thick and yummy. One should must try it for sure.

After a busy day walking round Oxford we were heading back to catch the bus and both me and my fiancé had a craving for a burger. Fortunately for us Five Guys was right next to our bus stop. This was our first Five Guys experience and we were both really impressed. We ordered a cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger. It was then build your own burger as you can add up to 15 extras, such as lettuce, tomato, mushrooms and sauces for free. It's not cheap. It's very much the higher end of your typical fast food burger restaurant, but the quality is SO much better. You felt like you'd had a 'proper' burger! We had to wait about ten minutes for the order, but we liked the fact you could choose what you wanted on your burger. It was definitely worth the extra money. The cheeseburger was £8.95 and the bacon cheeseburger was £9.95. They do smaller versions of these for £2 less. As well as burgers they do hotdogs, sandwiches (including veggie options), fries and shakes. The fries are £4.75 and the shakes are £5.50, so even for two people ordering a burger, fries and shake each you are looking at nearly £40. Like I say, not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality, taste and portion size. Our burger cravings were satisfied and we left knowing we'll definitely be back.

Great food. Good service but it was very expensive. For 1 cheeseburger, 1 little cheeseburger and 1 reg chips, 2 little chips and 1 bacon cheeseburger (we couldn't taste nor see the bacon). It was £50!! On my behalf we should have gotten 2 reg chips and that would have been enough for 3 people or more.
