Tommi's Burger Joint in Oxford

Dreadful customer service on the day I visited. Had been before but this day was awful. Staff member had a terrible attitude which is bizarre given it’s one of the most expensive burger joints in Oxford. Will never go again, there are plenty of friendlier and cheaper places in Oxford. The place has a pretty dull atmosphere anyway.

The staff were so energetic and welcoming! Had a fab time and food was delicious!

Been here a fair few times, food has been amazing every single time. Well worth the money! Atmosphere is great and the staff are always lovely and extremely friendly! Always recommending the place to anyone who needs to grab a bite to eat! :)

Had the chicken salad with garlic sauce and guac. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Definitely worth the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. The music was a tad loud, made all the more frustrating that I didn't know where to wait to listen out for my name. If I hadn't seen another order get called before mine I might have been sitting out the front of the register area and not been able to hear. Blocking out the music in the area to the left of the register, and putting a little sign up to indicate waiting there for pickup would be nice. There's an option to tip when ordering, but I don't know about tipping before the food has been received. I did tip on this occasion and in retrospect it was deserved.

They did the burger gluten free by putting it in a lettuce leaf. It tasted great. Very knowledge about gluten👍

Had a lovely experience today at Tommi’s burger joint. Staff are lovely and very inviting. The food was amazing and decently priced. I would definitely go back there if I was in Oxford again.

I really liked the Food in particular the express deal (9.90 for a Burger and Fries) and the Service was Perfect I recommand.

The adult burger meal was around the average price although an extra £1.50 for a measly single slice of processed cheese is very steep considering you can buy 10 slices for £1 in the supermarket! The service was quite slow even though there didn't seem to be many other people ordering burgers (we were in a food hall which offered multiple cuisines) The gentleman who served me said he'd call my name in 8-9 minutes when the food was ready, it actually took more like 25 minutes. This was a shame because I think the extra time they spent cooking the burgers meant they were all very overcooked and dry. The kids burger was very overpriced at £7 and all you get is a dry overcooked pattie in a dry old bun. For that price you'd at least expect some chips! I would also like to mention that the burgers were also pretty small so although they are average price I do not think they are worth what they are charging. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a decent burger.

Had the Burger of the month with Bearnaise sauce and it was fantastic. Would recommend, never seen that paired with a burger but worked great.

I’m a tourism from Lebanon and I came yesterday to try Tommi’s Burgur joint, the burgers were really delicious and they were really friendly and treat me in a good way. Also, I recommend everyone to try it.

Never again, we visited the one in Westgate social, we 've got the steak burger and all three of us, end up being sick after with possible food poisoning as we ate the same thing. I paid £24 for a cheeseburger with chips and a can of coke which seemed as a joke especially for not being a proper restaurant. Even if would never go back as I was poorly for a week,I will give 2 stars only because the stuff as they where extremely polite and helpful.

Perfection is not a good enough word to describe how well this burger was grilled! Then you combine staff as good as the food. Dangerous combo. Will be back!!!

Great burgers! Turned up for my work Christmas party for burgers before our junkyard golf session and was really impressed at the quality and flavour of the vegan burger I had. Vegan burgers can be a bit tricky to get right so my expectations were pretty low but this one delivered. Would definitely recommend and go back on my own. Very helpful staff trying to cater for a lot of hungry people without compromising on quality. 10/10!

Me and my boyfriend been here to eat… they forgot about the coffe we ordered.. then they forgot about the extra bacon paid and ordered on boyfriend cheeseburger, and quality and taste not up to the price. Not worth it

Tommi’s is hands down the best burger place in Oxford. The food and customer service is 5 star. All the food is produce fresh and the staff explain all the dietary requirements. I’d highly recommend to a friend or even a foe.

I went for a hamburger with my friends, I was surprised as you only get cans of coke and when I asked they said no glasses were available. When I asked if there were sauces I was told it was only what's on the side. I was a little surprised really, but the fries were very good!

Shout out to Sam an Jason today as they’ve been so pleasant with me and my family. Sam explained the menus to an extend as first timers here (it always have been full in the past) and Jason cooked the yummiest burguers!! We’ve had an awesome customer service and we’re definetly coming back in the future!! ✅🙏🏼✨

Sam and Jason were absolutely amazing. It was our first time here and they took the time to make us feel welcome and explain us the menu and offers. Food was amazing and while the foods getting ready you can get your own sauces and also bits like jalapeños, fried onions and more.

Extremely poor and slow service. Took 15 minutes just to take our order then another good 25 minutes for the food. They then proceeded to get the order wrong anyway. It wasn’t even a busy time (1430 on a Thursday) so have no idea why things were so slow.

Was in Westgate Oxford with my wife and thought we’d grab a quick bite to eat and unfortunately chose this place. I should of gone with my gut feeling when I started my order when I was told out of about 8 different shakes they only had 2 available also having orders to burgers they had none of the sauces that go in them. I have never in my life seen a milk shake served in a disposable coffee cup with the straw squeezed into the sippy hole but this how ours came. We waited around 15 minutes for our food to be cooked and my name was called out I went to the counter to get our food and saw they had lots of lids for for the little sauce pots and asked if they had any of the pots so we could get some ketchup, mayo etc but you guessed it they didn’t have any so all the sauces were there but you couldn’t have any. My steak burger was virtually raw in the middle and my wife’s which she asked to have well done was also pink the fries were very pale and just tasted of cooking oil no seasoning on them at all. We didn’t bother complaining as probably the worst thing about the whole place are the staff who you could tell the couldn’t care less and really didn’t want to be there. We ended up throwing it all in the bin. Please don’t waste your money at this awful place go to one of the numerous other burger joints in Oxford. I wish we had.

Very quiet which was probably an indication as to them not being too good. Burgers were supposed to be well done but were pink inside - too late when you’ve half eaten it!!! Three stars because server was nice and food was hot.

Read good reviews, should know they weren't to be trusted when the place is like a motorway services. Medium burger overcooked, tasted horrid, also had security crawling the place due to some kids trying to have a laugh. Should have gone to McDonalds.

it's the burgers that truly steal the show at this establishment. Each patty is made from the finest cuts of beef, hand-formed and grilled to perfection. The toppings are carefully curated and thoughtfully arranged, from the tangy pickles to the crisp lettuce and ripe tomato slices.

We order 2 shakes and the price was £6 expecting the size of a normal milkshake, our surprise is they served them in a normal coffee cup to take away. And the milkshake was nothing special. In other places we will have paid £6 for the amount of booth milkshake together. Avoid this place.

Burger itself was ok waited ages for it the shakes tasted industrial and came ten minutes before the burger Bun was horrific all soggy and the viking chips were vile and cooked in old oil yeuuuch I gave it one star because Carlos was a lovely waiter and the food wasn’t his fault and he cheered us up otherwise zero stars for this place £42 for two burgers and grotty chips and two shakes - and a crotchety old wobbly table on a wet pavement on a road junction as no room inside very tight space - customers all squeezed up with strangers at a long bench! Reckon it was worth about £25 max Do not recommend and nothing like the wonderful Burger Joint in New York!!!!

For the price they charge I would of expected a good quality burger but ending up with one that was full of gristle on every bit.Would of complained but was quite angry about it so we left

I obviously didn't read the prices on the menu board correctly or I would have gone somewhere else. I could not believe 2 classic burgers with, what appeared to be a slice of processed burger cheese, fries and drinks cost £28.80. We were not asked how we wanted our burgers cooked but I saw the sign said it would be medium unless otherwise requested which was fine. When I bit into my rather small unwhelming burger, I found mine was almost rare. It was hardly seared let alone medium. My daughters burger was much better and looked as if it had spent more than 30 secs on the grill. Mine also had 2 large lumps of gristle in it and really wasn't that great. . The chips were nice and yes, everything is cooked to order so no food is sitting around getting cold but none of the meal was worth the price paid. Definitely won't be going back.

We were charged for three burgers instead of two due to the cashier's mistake on entering, and he refused to reimburse us for the extra burger (apparently "impossible" if one pays by card). We were offered extra drinks and chips instead (then decided to argue about it when we went to pick them up), but this is not really an acceptable substitute when on a student budget and trying to save money. The staff were also generally rude. The burgers were honestly fairly lacklustre too - certainly overpriced for what they are. There are much nicer and more value-for-money burger joints in Oxford - give this one a miss, in our opinion.

Good range of burgers freshly prepared. I had a chicken burger with fries. Decent taste but small and it’s poor value. No fries with burger and had to be ordered (£3.80!!!!) separately. Two of us ate for £30……high end restaurant prices for a burger joint seems a lot. Tasty, fresh but expensive.

Quite pricey. Guy at cashier said chips included with the burger but turned out it wasn't. Had to pay £3.8 separately for the chips. If I knew this while placing order I could've ordered a bundle. Felt like a ripoff. Also leakiest milkshake I've seen, every draw there's milkshake coming off the cap. Will not be back.

I had the standard burger, no cheese, no sauce. Not a cheap burger, but the beef patty was juicy and tasty. Fries was normal, similar to Macdonald's fries. Came as a combo with drink at 12 pounds.

Sam are Sousa - what superstars. I went very late on Friday night just before closing and although they were right at the end of the day and about to close up, Sam took my order with tremendous customer service and Sousa cooked up a fabulous chicken salad and burger. Poor - nothing gourmet about it. The burger was clearly reheated, it wasn’t medium either! It has that cold to warm to thermo nuclear temperature thing going on that is typical of a microwave! The chef wasn’t even cooking but cleaning, and listening to music. I was charged for a scrap of bacon and some plastic cheese, which I don’t mind paying for if it’s a decent amount or good quality. 1 x piece of core of the lettuce and the end of a limp tomato with a shaving of onion. When I asked for ketchup I was given a pot of the cheapest takeaway van ketchup. The chips were terrible too! All for £17! Ps the Camden hells can was decent though !
