Five Guys in Milton Keynes

Oh my.... I hadn't been to a five guys for some time but my latest experience was woeful. We ordered our food and waited and waited and waited. When we finally collected it and sat down, we opened the foil parcels only to discover soggy, cold and 'high' burgers and unappetizing fries. The only saving grace were the shakes. Overall, way too expensive for what was a very bad overall experience.

First ever visit to Five Guys. First impressions- very clean & organised. Staff are very helpful, friendly and good at their job. Toilets really clean. Food is absolutely top class. Bacon hotdogs, with onions, mustard, and ketchup. Will definitely visit again. Thank you 😊

Love five guys food! The burgers are always nice and fresh, the chips are really good. Milkshakes are tasty! It is expensive but what isn’t these days!

Rude staff, soggy burger, got my order wrong but that’s my fault apparently. No good at all. To top it off it smelled like rats in there.

Visited This restaurant as was told how nice the food was. Very disappointed Probably the worst meal I have ever had we ordered 3 Bacon Burgers And a hotdog with cajun fries And 2 shakes the bacon was burnt and over cooked the burgers tasteless the hotdog was probably out of a tin and really salty And the fries Had so much cajun seasoning Nobody could eat them. So £57 for 2 milkshakes as that was the only nice bit of our meal we enjoyed. Definitely won’t be returning!!!’.

I've left this place feeling sick. My burger and my childs burger was raw in the middle with red blood present. I got a refund but even so, that is definitely not good. I won't be going back there. £38 for 3 burgers, I medium chips, a coke and 2 kids shakes

Went for food the other week. Food was absolutely terrible and soaked in oil. Everything was incredibly overpriced and tasted mid at best. Probably one of the worst places to get burgers in milton keynes. Do not recommend, do recommend smashburger in the kingston centre instead. Even mcdonalds was better than this.

I have previously eaten at Five Guys in Birmingham, Derby, and London and been happy with the offering. MK version is simply poor by comparison, seemingly staffed entirely by teenage kitchen hands. I will not be back!

Couldn't be better. Quality meat, well cooked and pleasantly served. Give yourself time though as waiting times can sometimes be a bit long

Overrated and far too expensive considering the experience. There’s no denying that the Five Guys burgers, Fries and shakes are packed with flavour but just do not warrant the price. The burgers are nice, but nothing exceptional and easily comparable to Wendy’s who have been doing something very similar with fresh patties and multiple toppings on offer since the late 80’s and GBK offer far better choice but equal quality. The diner is purely that, simple and unassuming which makes it very noisy and not particularly comfortable, no free table was particularly clean and every bin full to bursting. If the price was half or even a third of the price would be ok, at £30 for two burgers, 1 regular Cajun fries and two drinks I’d look elsewhere for better quality and value.

Please do not waste any money here. Please see the photos of what cost £35 Burnt dry and cold chips Cheeseburger with no cheese and it was all melted in the foil it was wrapped in Because of the foil wrap it was squashed into what can be described as a macdonalds No care no consideration And when I called to complain the manager was rude and dismissive just stating to complain to Deliveroo If you really hate your job so much and send out what looks like it was kicked around the kitchen before being sent to customers Please please do yourself and your company and the industry a favour and QUIT I am awaiting feedback from five guys head of franchise, Deliveroo and the general manager of the establishment I won’t hold my breath if the service so far is anything to go by

Over priced, bacon over cooked, but cold. Chips were cold and greasy. The staff were more interested in watching videos on their phone. I sent a complaint in to head office and was accused of lying. Never again. If I want a poor quality burger and watch idiots mess around I will go to McDonald’s.

Not been to Five guys for about 3 years also. Last was Covenant Garden London. I remember we went in thinking mm probably like other burger places. The price is what got me at that time. This time round it’s only got even more expensive! My 11 year old son and my self 2 milkshake 2 chips Cheese burger with bacon £27 It was nice and I have no complaints about the quality of the food and service. I’ll be back in another few years.

Its a burger joint, with a reputation, not quite sure where from.The Fries are okay and there lots of them , but quality wise other burger joints are just as good. The burgers are pleasant enough, but not worth the money being charged. For the price we paid I could have had a real meal out , not burger and chips. Where have the peanuts gone ! are they a covid casualty or cut backs

I recently had the burger in lettuce leaf instead of bun as I'm counting calories to rescue weight. I wasn't really looking forward to it, but it was great, and I will certainly be getting it a gain.

Visited for lunch today and it was ok. I had the bacon cheeseburger with some toppings and it was not the best I've had as it was a bit bland. The fries and the oreo cookie shake I had was great and I think the shake is the best in UK. Price wise it's a bit too high to provide value for money but is ok considering it's a filling meal. The staff are ok and the only interaction is when you place the order and collect it so can't say much. Overall, an average rating but good, filling meal with the best shake!

I think that the number of five-star ratings for this place suggests a bit of the 'Emperor's New Clothes' effect and Five Guys are more than happy to mine the pockets of those gullible customers.Visited after a night out with friends, two of whom insisted that we go there for a burger instead of just heading to a pub for a couple of pints.The young lady that greeted us was pleasant enough and helpful, but that was it for service. My order took about 10 minutes. It might have been sooner, but I could barely hear when they called my order number. £4 for a burger that wasn't particularly nice. Wendy's produce a much, much nicer burger at a fraction of the price. I didn't have a lot by way of toppings, but of those I did, the jalapenos were fresh, although my preference would be for pickled (wouldn't have chosen them if I had known), as or the pickle, it was pretty much tasteless.Overall, an expensive disappointment. Don't waste your money here, a dirty burger van would be much better value and, if you've been for a few beers, would pretty much taste just the same anyway.

I do love my burgers and have eaten at some of the best burger joints in the States. 5 Guys is expensive in my opinion. Around £30 for 2 people. What i dont like about this joint is you have tell them what you want in your burger. I believe all burger joints should tell you what they think taste great in the burgers. The chips portions are huge here and you will go home here full, well i would expect that for £30 for two people.

First time visit to Five Guys after the theatre in CMK, thought we’d give it a go.The staff were friendly, order took about ten minutes even though it was pretty empty, the burgers were ok but not quite worth the £8 plus each we paid for them - with chips but no drinks our order came to £23, a lot more than a comparable KFC Boneless bucket (which would feed us for 2 days) and significantly more than a McDonalds. The surroundings don’t seem much different from those other chains though.Also gave us so many chips we had to leave loads, far too many for two of us to eat.Nice to try as a first timer, but I’ll probably save £10 and go elsewhere next time.

I love the burgers here, my partner loves the fries. The drinks from the machine never taste like the real fanta or coke, they taste like cheap squash which is bad because this place ain't cheap...

I often go here when I’m hungover to smash a couple of burgers. You need to double up and you need to get 2 as you are hungry not too long after. It’s a dirty burger done well!

5 Guys is to me a solid dining experience, although it's not at the high end of burger restaurants I see it as a McDonalds/Burger King +

The whole family love this place - fresh burgers with loads of toppings to choose from. The shakes are thick and great flavours. The fries are incredible. The burgers taste so much better than a McD or Burger King - but then you do pay for it. One thing I would say is it is quite expensive for milkshakes (£5.25) and approx £10 for a burger. If you want to spend that much on burgers and fries, you may prefer a sit down place instead, however if you want fast food that is better than your standard fast food places, then this is a winner. The staff here were really friendly and chatty to our children. Will come back again when we've saved up for it! LOL

Our first ever visit and we loved it! Worth that bit more! Especially the chips so good! We had the large fries shared between 3 kids and 2 adults and easily fed us all, bacon cheeseburger is a must try!

If you enjoy burgers then Five Guys is the place to eat. Food is restaurant quality (good restaurant quality) and a world removed from McDonald's and Burger King. Burgers are made to order and you choose what toppings you want. The burger patties are juicy and flavoursome. Fries are skin on and actually look and taste like crispy potatoe fries. Retro fast food diner ambience. Not the cheapest (around double or a bit more than a McDonald's or Burger King meal) but excellent and with friendly service. Soft drinks are refillable.

Not going to say more than waste of money...

I recommend Five Guys as you have the freedom of choosing the toppings as many as you want... and Fries are definitely the best Fries! A large portion is quite a lot even for 2 people. Try it and you will never regret!

Finally managed to visit here. Found the simple menu confusing and ended up ordering a triple burger as it was not at all obvious that they come as doubles as standard!

Came here with my family, staff was ok good was ok but probably won't return as it's very expensive. You'll get loads of fries and a small burger.

The juiciest burgers ever, cooked as per your choice of toppings and in front of your eyes. The milkshakes are to die for. Munch on monkey-nuts (FREE) while you wait.

Five guys is always a good place to eat, not sure it’s worth the money really and the chips are very expensive. Saying that though it’s probably better than a lot of places.

Visited Five Guys with a multi-generational group for lunch during half-term and were surprised to find it nearly empty ! Can't understand why as the service was quick and cheerful, the burgers and fries top-class and the prices quite reasonable. The ambience and location were fairly uninspiring but that's of lesser importance when the food is good. The menu may be limited but the variations and varieties are numerous and all tastes should be catered for. Good for all but especially the younger generations.

Man, having been a rampant GBK-muncher in the halcyon days of yore, it pleases me no end to have coerced one of these bad boys down my Gregory Peck.

Great custom prepared burgers with every combination of fillings imaginable - ours were excellent & hot with good quality substantial buns rather than the soft mushy affairs in some large chains. Chips were perhaps a bit below par being a tad cool

You want a burger then go to Five Guys! The Xscape one had friendly staff, quick service and boy oh boy was the burger delish and don’t get me started on the milkshake! Great value and great quality! Bravo- finally a burger joint that serves a proper burger!

Good quality food and plentiful chips, although a little pricey. Service was a little slow although when you recognise each burger is made up individually,it's not unreasonable.

Attended Five Guys for the 1st time, didn’t eat in just takeaway, the options are really good and laid out for you to understand, I chose a Bacon cheeseburger and it comes with two patties and then you choose what you want, I also ordered skin on fries and a strawberry milkshake with whipped cream, this came to £18.50. The food was good but I feel expensive, also if you don’t want many chips I would suggest getting a small as they fill the pot and then add extra in the bag anyway.

Proper hand cut fries cooked in peanut oil, very generous portion and tasty. On the menu is either burger or hot dog, we went for the bacon cheese burger. The buns are really good quality, the patties juicy and tasty. We loved the fact that you can customize your burgers with as many toppings as you like from the extensive range on offer. A bit pricey for a burger meal but worth every penny.

One of the benefits (and downsides) of the global reach of McDonalds, is that no matter where in the world you are, your BigMac will be and taste the same.

The food is fantastic and definately worth a visit, a bit pricey for a burger and fries, will go back but prices will make it a two or three times a year treat than a once a week indulgance.

So it's a pretty flavourless Burger with a soggy slice of tasteless Tomato laid dead on top - thinly covered with "grilled" (no way) Onions and for a £1 extra you can have a slice of that awful cheese substitute made from orangey/yellow Silicone sealant and Slime. Trust your instincts and taste buds if you eat here and not all the promotional hype. 3 of us dined and all 3 took our meals back and demanded a refund.

First visit to this chain and very happy to have called in for a top burger and fries. Even though we ordered small fries, the portion was very generous, making for a really filling lunch.

We eat here once in a blue moon because of the high price and that’s the only reason for the 4 stars as the food is great.

Food was delicious the burgers came in foil which was a little weird but fine. I really like the fries as they still had the skin on. Would recommend if you can spare some money as it is a little steep in price for what it was.

Wanted to try this burger for so long and thankfully work brought me to Milton keynes. This is one of the nicest burgers I have ever had. I guess when you only make burgers you are going to make a pretty awesome burger. When they say large fries they really are large. Amazing!!!

Food for 4, grandparents and granddaughters. The girls had been before so tried to educate the oldies. Ordered two cheese burgers and two bacon cheese dogs. I had toppings og grilled onions, bacon, mustard and mushrooms, superb. As others have said one large fries was enough for us. The girls had refillable drinks and I had a Brooklyn lager, very nice. Yes it is expensive at £45 but so much better than any of the so called competition. The manager and staff were friendly and very efficient. Would I go back? Oh yes

Went to Five Guys today, myself, hubby and daughter.. we had 2x bacon cheeseburgers with added mushrooms, a beef hot dog and 1x large chips. We've never been here before but hubby was recommended this place by a friend so we gave it a try. On placing our order we were originally going to order 3x regular fries but the lad who served us suggested we scrapped that idea and just ordered 1x large fries as there would be plenty for the 3 of us. We were abit sceptical but took his word for it. After about 10 minutes our order number was called, the burgers were of better quality than both McDonald's and burger king, very tasty but a little on the dear side at £8.95. I felt our daughters hot dog was over priced for what she got at £4.50. However, the fries were delicious!!! Even though we were sceptical, the large fries at £5 was plenty enough for the 3 of us. Would we go back? Hmmmm.. possibly- the food was nice but a little pricey.

What can I say other then perfect! A real burger with cheese bacon thin crispy burgers with free toppings a real beef hot dog Cajun fries and a bottomless drink for £21 is a steal in 2018!

Worst burger I have ever had, why would I want the same level of burger quality as McDonalds but for triple the price with the same service of ordering at the counter to then wait for it and collect it yourself before finding a table. I find it unbelievable that this has become a popular chain restaurant much like McDonalds and I’m gutted that we are plagued with 2!! of them in Milton Keynes. Such a shame when Byron burger is sooooo much better quality food and you get table service for the same price pretty much.

These burgers are the best we have ever had! I rarely choose burgers but today I had a craving for good meat, delicious! May be a little over the average price range but worth every penny,thanks guys!

Visited with family as never been to a Fives Guys but heard good things about the establishment. Felt rushed ordering despite being the only ones at the counter to be served. We ordered 2 cheese burgers a junior burger 1 large fries and 2 drinks. Was shocked that this came to over £32!!! It took about 10 minutes to get food, which was nice but definitely not worth the money! Will not rush back again.

This place is good but in my opinion the price is still too expensive for a burger

Been a few times now. The best burger bar none (my daughter and I agree). The best fries (daughter and her bestie agree). Oh and free monkey nuts. Four to. Es the price of McDonald's and burger King, wort every penny. Proper banging.

First time visit to a Five Guys and thoroughly enjoyed the meal , yes a bit expensive ..we paid similar prices to decent restaurant meals but in my opinion worth it. Starting you choose what burger you want then you can add as many or few toppings as you want ( no charge for the toppings unlike a lot of places ) the chips ...Wow could not leave them alone , the best chips I have had in ages!! .

never again that was so expensive burger king paid more then 50 pound for 4 burgers .....i mean really burger wasn't anything special so disappointed for this price ...workers there they think they are on holiday no one cares about costumers or cleaning tables never ever again

I'd never been to a 5 Guys before and the kids wanted a burger before the concert. I didn't really look at the menu it has to be said. Take Away burger and chips for me and 2 kids was £60! £20 a person. Wowsers. The burger was ok but nothing special, the £5 milkshake was quite nice, and the £5 chips were terrible. We all left them. If you like paying 4 or 5 times the normal price for poor/average food then you've found it right here!

Always a good meal since the first time when I was blown away. It is expensive but so good and it’s filling. All the toppings you could want. Fries portions are massive so great if you’re okay with sharing - and milkshakes you can mix in as many flavours and they’re just great anyway.

Best Best Best!! I know it cost more than Burger KIng but they are not in the same league. The best burgers and Milkshakes you will ever taste. Forget the money as when you taste you will forget the price. Go to the cash point and get down to Five Guys!

We ate here today as a family of four as our eldest son really wanted to go and had been to the Cambridge restaurant. Honestly at first I was completely over whelmed by the price! £56 for 4 burgers, 2 portions of large fries (which you really only need 1 as they are huge!) and 4 soft drinks...that is outrageous. Then I was underwhelmed as although the burger was very nice indeed, the chips were average and the seating uncomfortable wooden chairs and the burgers are wrapped in foil so they were sweaty/wet...not ideal. Sorry but no burger is worth that amount of money. I will say that the "free" money nuts were fantastic, so I took two portions home with us just to take the sting out of the tail lol...The member of staff that took our order was great by the way.

Meal quality ruined by the quality of their bread. Very expensive given overall quality. Staff, however, very friendly and efficient.

5 guys, if you haven't eaten their what planet have you been on? Joking apart, these are not your cheep McD type burgers and I have read people moaning about the price, I would say you get what you pay for, MdD burgers are your Aldi value burgers and 5 Guys is your waitrose, its an easy analagy but I would much rather have a 5 guys than other cheaper burgers, fries are amazing too just think they could make the drinks a little cheaper but love the free style options

The burger is literally the same as BK just with added choice of toppings. The chips are also waaay too salty. Not worth the money, plenty more choice around.

stopped in for a burger after my snowboard lesson , oh my days the food here is so good , Its well worth paying that bit extra for a decent burger . you can pick as any toppings as you like there is 15 in total . the chips they do is just yummy , and the drinks choice is brilliant too.

Grilled cheese so small, burger tiny and all soggy after being wrapped into tin foil..burger costed nearly £9 without any chips included.. tiny burger..

recommended to me by many friends and family and i can now see why, the choice of fillings for the hamburger is just amazing and you can have as many as want at no extra price, although the burger itself is, for a burger a little on the expensive side, but i can say that i thought it worth the money, the one i chose was £8 plus the fries and drink. the fries were well wort mentioning, they were very good and loads of them, one portion is more than enough for the two of us. the drinks were also on the pricey side but you get unlimited refills so if there are two of you just get one drink and share.

If you are really into burgers , THIS is the place to EAT. I have tasted many burgers all over the country but never had Yummier than FIVEGUYS burgers.

We always go there for a special treat. If you are on a low carb diet (as we are) there is nothing better than a bacon cheeseburger in a lettuce wrap... delicious. On this occasion we invited a friend and was blown away, he especially enjoyed the chips which we of course couldn't.

I'm not a fan of big chunky burgers, so for me the burgers they sell in here are the best in MK. However they are in my mind very expensive, so when i do go it is as a special treat.

Consistently good burgers - worth paying extra for. The milkshakes are extortionate however at £5+ a pop. A limited menu but I like that they keep it simple and stick to what they do best.
