Fish & Chips @ No3 in Cheshire West and Chester

Food was really delicious, place is clean and tidy. We was really enjoying the time. I highly recommend

Great chippy. Friendly staff. Wide range of food. Fantastic fresh fish and chips. Would recommend to anyone staying nearby or passing through.

Called in for a quick tea, nearly an hour later we got to eat it. Only ordered two pies, a portion of chips and a portion of peas. Sat waiting g and wondering if they had lost the order or if I had entered some parallel universe for about 45 minutes , then finally I was called to the counter to collect it as the generous portion of chips were being wrapped up. Then in an instant it all went ‘tits up’ again as the good lady announced that she was still waiting for the peas to cook. So as the chips and pies were whisked away to become soggy in their wrappings, I returned to the penalty bench to sit along two other unfortunates who were also bemoaning the long wait and were physically ageing before my eyes. Eventually, said peas were duly dispensed and about an hour after entering this establishment we managed to get our food. The pies were small but of a good quality, if not slightly over cooked and dry (hardly surprising) the chips would have been excellent if they had not been subjected to storage, but the peas, although authentic and without additives, were the most insipid and bland I’d ever tasted. So, 6/10 for food and -100/10 for service. All I can say is it’s just bizarre that a ‘fast food’ outlet is operating like this and it does not appear to be a one off experience, judging from observation of other customers at the time, revues on here and local conversations. Such a shame, as it could be a very useful and handy facility. Local advice is to order ahead, turn up very late to collect and hope for the best. I’m thinking of ordering now for Christmas Eve and collecting the day after Boxing Day, you never know, it might come good!

Lovely pizza. I regularly order a veggie sizzler, which are consistently good. I can recommend the chips too!

Would not recommend this place. Far too expensive £4.90 for 4 small chicken strips. Waited over an hour for food that was not even that nice, undercooked soggy chips, rice was hard just don't waste your money here!!

Worst ever service and food. Ordered 40 mins in advance but waited 80 minutes in total!!! They didn’t care, no apology. Just said so what? We got busy! Also missed part of the order and blamed us even though we paid for it. Food awful. All batter and no fish so why so expensive. SHOCKING. DO NOT DO WASTE YOUR MONEY. go to fired up pizza instead. Stunning! And lovely service.

Oh dear ..what has happened...used to be really good food and the fish and chips were really nice but not now. We had fish and chips a couple of months ago and though then that they were not as good as normal, but last night's were terrible the fish, what bit of it there was left, was mostly very overcooked hard greasy batter and totally inedible.We were being picked up to go out soon after otherwise I would have taken them back . We wont be going to @No3 again

Recently had Fish and Chips from here and it will be the last time. Quality has deteriorated dramatically over the years after the local family sold the business. Very greasy food. The fish was mostly batter and chips average. They need to improve substantially.

Chicken nuggets where big chicken balls hard to chew, chips and garlic bread just tasted of grease. First time passing as was camping and was looking foward to a take away and all i can say is it was a waste of £30. Most went in bin.

Had sausage chips and gravy. Was good value for a small village chippy. Chips were cooked fresh and were very nice. Gravy was nom but could have done with a little more for me. Only downside was it was cash only but free cash machine in the spar. Otherwise great food and service :)

We were in the area as we had been to the ice cream farm, We needed something quick and easy and this place delivered in spades. Great product, some of the best chip shop chips I've ever had and at a good price. The fish was also excellent. If you've travelled some distance in to the area for the Ice cream farm then this place is worth going to for an easy meal after.

Hot Good food and service. Large portions of chips. Pizza good. chicken good . We will be back. Thank you .

Previous owners very good. New owners give Much smaller portions and Re-use old oil, I went back for a second visit to give benefit of doubt, worst I’ve had in a long time, would not recommend

I am disgusted by the price of the pizzas I’ve ordered tonight. You would pay the same price for a bigger pizza in a restaurant. They did taste nice but also had to wait an extra 30 minutes on top of the original waiting time. Will not be ordering from there again.

fish great, chips great, bangkok bad boy (veggy burger) excellent mushy peas could do with some work boss said it wasn't bad, i've eaten worse

Servers are really friendly. Lovely shop. Wide variety of food available. Would go again and probably try other food rather than why we had. Fish was okay chips where alright.

We had a large group staying with us and we all wanted fish & chips for lunch.The fresh fish was delicious, batter yummy, presented in a box with a wedge of lemon, chips were super too. Great service. Not one complaint, thank you from our group of 16.

Have a fish it is cooked to perfection, they are only cooked to order and the chips are good as well. Well worth a visit

We wanted a quick dinna, and considering they just opened up, they were quick. Fresh fish was nice, cooked perfect and with a wedge of lemon to finish off! Kebab was just right, only thing I will say is the curry sauce "Chindian" could be hotter (spice wise). Would return

Lots of nice touches including the fish in box which saves it getting pulled apart, the fish was massive, fresh and light, even the batter was tasty in its own right. No point ever going anywhere else because this place is the best.

Bought fish and chips for my family last Friday. The fish was perfect, the chips could have been a little more golden, but we're cooked. The service was OK, but not as welcoming as I would have predicted. Still better than the reviews suggested and would go again.

Picked up some chips as a quick dinner but unfortunately the portion was absolutely tiny, literally about 15 chips and came with a big long hair in.Gutted as it's local and had better from the same place before. The hair unfortunate but charging £1.80 for what would be a small Children's chips is very disappointing. Alas they went straight in the bin.

fantastic fish and chips. well worth travelling from chester to get them. A little wait as all the fish is cooked to order which makes it delicious . Best chippy in cheshire.

Teníamos pescado y patatas fritas en Viernes Santo y eran el mejor pescado y patatas fritas que hemos tenido de comida para llevar por un tiempo muy largo. Había que esperar un poco pero no me importó ya que el pescado y las patatas fritas eran cocinados a la orden, así que la comida llegó caliente, fresca y deliciosa. Sin duda, 5 / 5 y esperamos nuestra próxima visita.

This is my closest chip shop and after now trying it 3 times, (in case i was unlucky) it has been consistantly awful !! Also the longest wait, whether it was prime time or just us in the shop!!! The fish is over done and all the food swims alone in grease, berk.. I now drive 9 miles to get a much better quality chip shop!! What a shame, for such a lovely village!!

The worst fish and chips I've had in a long time. That includes the one from the works canteen that has been under a hot lamp for two days and looks like the fish was dynamited rather than caught.

Lovely fish - outstanding But think they need to keep the back door to the prep area closed. With it being on high street we don't want to see into back kitchen and all the prep food open to public

Came across this chip shop on the way back from Carfest North. EXCELLENT.

I After a exhausting day out with my children I did not want to go home and cook,so we stopped off for fish and chips .We were greated by a lovely young lady who's name I think was Tia who was very patient with my children as they fussed over what to have.

Eat here often. Customer service is fantastic and food is always excellent. Fish is always fresh and batter light and crispy. Lots of options for the whole family. Would highly recommend!!!

A fantastic classic chippy supper. Served by great staff we use the local chippy as a Friday night treat and never a bad thing to say.

Twice now ive tried this fish and chip shop, both times the service has been terribly slow, and I find the food far to greasy, infact Ive never seen a fish dripping like that before! Shame as the decor is beautiful, and Ill love a great local chippy!!! Big thumbs down for now

What a fantastic Fish and Chip take away. Batter is light and tasty with nothing too oily. Especially liked all the different variants available such as Calamari and thought the idea of declaring what the standard fish of the day being used is, was a great idea. Definitely worth a try.
