Very good ! Brings food within 1 minute. Food is very tasty , especially the saveloy sausage (red sausage). 5 Stars . Highly recommend for a fish and chip shop.Very kind people!

Ordered two fish and chips two cans of pop and bread and butter also mushy peas, bread and butter and peas didn't appear and my fish in the second mouthful found four bones so couldn't eat it ! Put the price on of missing items until we explained we hadn't had them

The worst fish and chips we found in the UK. I visited many places eating the most traditional British food and could not believe they are there for more than 60 years in an amazing area selling a normal fish as being large and I’ve never seen so much oil on fish and chips.

£4.50 For a quite small portion of chips is ridiculous, they were hardly cooked it felt like eating a raw potato, they did not wrap it even when we asked for it to be wrapped 50p for frankly a tiny sachet of sauce the environment was shocking and it looked dirty the staff was rude and dismissive the vinegar was not nice and they did not ask if we wanted any and put it on ourselves the staff did not even look like they wanted to be there. I am appalled and it ruined the day in Brighton.

Do not i repeat do not buy any chips from this place. 4.50 for a box of rotten cooked frozen chips and quite obviously cooked twice. We had to through nearly 2 full boxes away. It’s the takeaway next door to the Burger King on the seafront Brighton. There’s another fish and chip shop on the corner which looks a million times better

Small portions, bland and overpriced.

Reasonable standard but for the size of portion very expensive 15 quid plus for large cod chips and a can the fish was nowhere near large and chip portion could have been bigger especially for the price. Nice people though served quickly food was hot and decent enough.

Dismayed with the terrible customer service provided in this shop. Stopped with my partner to grab a quick fish and chips, and the server was extremely rude, handling me the credit card machine while I was still ordering. I was provided with an extremely hot can of drink, which wasn’t drinkable considering the weather, so I gave it back and he returned me in cash. Overall, terrible customer service! Never again! Won’t even recommend such place.

Disgusting, undercooked chips for a disgusting, overcooked price. The chips were hard, pale, and cost £4.50 for less than a cone, coupled with less than a cupful of green sludge that was apparently "mushy peas". This place was never the best chippy in Brighton, but it never used to be this bad. Avoid like the plague (which given the state of the place, you may well catch if you go inside).

Absolutely awful and the reason UK food has a bad reputation, soggy everything - had three mouthfuls and decided to pay rather than have an argument - owner said "What's the matter", I said the food is awful and he replied it is the best fish and chips around, beautiful and fresh - I would have laughed if it wasn't so tragic, what chance do we have when the owner is delusional - strictly for tourists

The worst fish and chips I've ever had. Chips were stale and Luke warm. Fish had no real taste. Bones present in the fish. Also order 2 kids fish and chips this was just a fish chopped in half and split between 2. This is not a true representation of British seaside fish and chips

Personally I think this is the best Fish and Chip shop in Brighton, on the seafront. I have had fish and chips on this site since I was a child. Small but they will do what they can to squeeze you in. Once seated, very quick to get your order and before you blink the food will be at the table. Lovely fresh fish nice chips and you can add lashings of vinegar. Overall a very pleasant place to eat. No frills just good food

Grabbed some pizzas on the way back from our show at the centre tonight. Watched him pull the crusts from the freezer thinking ok it'll be that kinda pizza. NOPE. It's MOLDY all over both of the bottoms of the pizza. Too bad I was on my 2nd slice when I spotted it. Don't go here. Ever.

Brighton is famous for the great fish & chips: well this place is not the right one... probably frozen food... terrible consumer service, dirty tables and they don't have a toilet!!!!! Just avoid this place id you are in Brighton

Dry and probably frozen chips, got cold quite quickly and not quite that enjoyable. Good amount for £2.8 though No wait, as no one else was in the shop. Probably should have taken as a sign to not buy there

Frozen chips, drier than the beach. Drowned them in salt and vinegar and still tasteless. Very friendly service but chips are diabolical. Sausage was decent to be fair.

This place is on the front near the pier, quite basic, but quite good fish, clean but quite basic. Certainly not anything attractive about the surrounding, not a place you would spend much time in, just eat & leave!!!!

Vimos algunas tiendas de pescado y papas fritas a lo largo del paseo marítimo. Pero pensamos en probar este lugar debido al clima que se acercaba y queríamos comer lo antes posible. El lugar era normal, el pescado y las patatas fritas, aunque cocinado fresco eran patatas fritas aceitosas crujientes y exageradas. Todavía había platos de otras personas en las mesas y arrojaron trozos de comida al suelo. Pedimos 2 tés y la leche debe haber estado en el giro ya que flotaba pedazos de cuajada blanca.Probablemente ir a otro lado. . . como parece de los revisores que esto no es único.

They now have tables outside so we ordered fish and chips which was OK but we had to eat from the polystyrene container. Then I saw other people sitting eating outside but they had been given plates, a bit disappointing. Friendly staff though.

El hecho de que la comida fue servida casi inmediatamente después de ordenar fue el regalo! Pescado de mala calidad en una horrible masa grasienta. Agregue las patatas frías empapadas y tendrá una pesadilla de pescado y patatas fritas. Hubiera salido si no hubiera estado con invitados extranjeros.

Nuestra orden - 2 bacalao y papas fritas, un pescado y papas fritas de una persona mayor y una gambas y papas fritas para comer - fue tomada rápidamente por un amable camarero y se sirvió rápidamente. Las comidas eran de buen tamaño, calientes y sabrosas. La masa del pescado estaba crujiente, una buena señal de que estaba recién hecha. No apareció pan con la comida de la tercera edad, pero en realidad no podría haberlo comido. Sin embargo, se hubiera apreciado una olla en lugar de una taza de té. Cuando pagamos al camarero redujo la factura ya que 2 de nosotros éramos estudiantes, ¡y nos dieron un 10% de descuento en la tienda de rock de al lado!Definitivamente comería aquí otra vez

i made a call to the chip shop as I wanted to enquire about pre booking some food for a school trip of 22 children. the telephone manor was absolutely disgusting. the man shouted at me for calling the number - that was stated on the online details, how dare I call and what business was it of mine to be calling!! he then hung up. not only has be lost a huge order, I wont be going there ever.

Went to this sub standard chips shop with partner and children order pie and chips fish and chips save Lou fish cake all cold and when informed owner he was not bothered also when asking how much fish chips was he said 5.95 but was charged 8.50 when questioned he said that was student price he gave me o said you should not have lied total cost of food 20 pounds 50 pence overpriced and rubbish stale food not fresh will never go again AVOID all went in bin went for pub meal instead Gives Brighton a bad name SORRY EXCUSE FOR A CHIPS SHOP

La manera de servicio al cliente fue espantosa. Fue muy grosero. Definitivamente no se valora por su comida. Entra allí por las patatas fritas y recibe un plato de patatas fritas. . . que mal mi vinagre flotaba en la parte superior en lugar de empaparse. No lo recomendaría a mi perro. Solicite un material que sabía a agua caliente y cuando le dije al personal sobre esto, ¡me dijeron que no volviera a pedirlo! Personal muy grosero! The chips were cold and had been fried at leat three times! It was also £3.50 for a smal plate. No wonder it was empty when we arrived. When we complained, we were told that the chips were like that due to the weather?!! Avoid!

You can't really do a bad job of fish and chips, can you? Well I've have far worse than those served up at this seafront cafe. The prices are a lot more reasonable than you'll pay across the road near the beach. Perhaps not as good, but I was served a decent portion, nicely cooked and piping hot. There's seating inside and out and the nosh is not much better or worse than you'll get at any chippy in this area. I didn't order anything else so can only vouch for the fish and chips.

So I'm shocked at some of the poor reviews maybe because we live in surrey and always have rubbish fish and chips and thought these were lovely, the fish, chips and service, nice crispy batter with full flaky boned fish and lovely young lady serving us. We stayed at the old ship hotel and my hubby who doesn't got to bed till late said people were coming and going from this ship till 3am so can't be that bad, well we didn't think so.

We thought a proper fish and chip shop was the best place to get them but how wrong we were. The fish was just OK but the chips were like something I haven't seen before. They were a curious light brown colour with white blotches giving a mottled effect. They weren't plump fat chips but rather thin and looked liked yesterdays reheated. Would never go there again. When we commented about the chips we were offered another portion, even though we left ours on the plate! For £8.50 per portion we could have done better elsewhere.

The moment you walked in the door, they were welcoming and very happy, the waitress took our order and was lovely. The fish and chips were beautiful and this place always looked busy when walking past. The place is clean and the staff are nice and welcoming. I would pick here over Buddies fish and chips any day of the week.

Pese a que vivimos encima de este establecimiento 3 años, solo lo comimos una vez fish and chips y la verdad que tenia muy buen sabor. Lo que no me gusto es que los ingleses le añaden a las patatas fritas salsa de tomate y vinagre y el olor es asqueroso. El establecimiento es normal y el personal amable.

Absolutely horrible food and even worse customer service from the manager himself. The food came out in less than a minute with it looking like it had been reheated. The chips were absolutely revolting and had weird white spots on them and the fish was old and greasy. The sausages had been grilled to obliteration and were so dry. Not to mention my friends deep fried sausage looked like an overcooked dried up black sausage. When we told the manager we were not happy he started to blame us and said we don't know anything about food and that he had been working there for 60 years and had never had complaints from his customers. After many voices being raised we walked out of there in utter shock and disgust. Please don't go here.

The chips were scraped from the dregs of the fryer and had a texture like they had been warmed up from before. Very few ‘nice’ chips, most were those thin and crispy bits that are always left in the bottom of the tray. £4 for chips and peas – horrid. Went in the bin.

We went looking specifically for fish and chips while spending the day in Brighton. Buddies on the corner was very good. It was horrible weather outside and we were the only patrons, but the gentleman was very pleasant and helpful, and made our order fresh. Our food was hot, tasted great, and was a large amount. Moderately priced.

We had our supper here last Saturday evening and my son had the fish and chips, which he said was very good. My daughter and I had chips, mushy peas and onion rings because we are vegans - the food was not bad but the chips could have been better. Fairly good value for money if you are on a tight budget.

Pedimos comida que era rápido y evidentemente ha estado sentado allí por un rato. Las patatas fritas eran duras y sabor muy raro. El pescado era muy salada y grasienta. Cuando nos fuimos, nos dijeron que el dueño de la cortésmente la comida no era de lo mejor, el propietario siguió desinteresado y grosero. Era muy caro, muy mala calidad! Probablemente el peor pescado y patatas fritas que he tenido, evitar!

Buena ubicación, chips de Preciosa. No comer. Cansados por dentro y por fuera, es caro y no particularmente limpia.
