Fenwicks Cafe in Chichester

I spent a afternoon at Fenwick's cafe, Rob and Dawn are great, the food is good its clean, prices are good and the atmosphere is happy and you feel looked after and cared for, great for. As a disabled user they do everything to make sure I am okay always greeted with a smile and disabled friendly, a delight in Chichester's most beautiful park and great for kids too if you have them as there is a playground within the Roman walls that enclose the park. Rob and Dawn work really hard and it shows, pop in say hi and enjoy the atmosphere and menu and a drink if you want one, unlike big the chains they have a great hands on approach and it shows. Well worth a visit.

Lovely to have a cafe in the park with seating inside and out. Food and drinks are always great. Smoothies are delicious.

The staff were very accommodating and we all enjoyed our drinks. The schmoos were a winner with the children!

Another lovely visit to this little gem in Chichester with exceptional customer service. Staff always recognise us even though we only visit twice a year or 2. You know its a gem when the staff have a wager on what we are going to order and get it right every single time before we have spoken to anybody.....Prosecco Prosecco. The poached egg, avocado on sourdough is excellent. Unfortunately, it has chilli in it, which I'm not supposed to eat. It really doesn't need it. IT'S NOT MENTIONED ON THE MENU. Otherwise, excellent.

Went there today for a slice of cake owner even offered to box my cake if I couldn’t finish it. Was aware of the time being so close to closing but did not feel rushed at all

Had a lovely breakfast service was excellent, staff very efficient and friendly would highly recommend a very lovely atmosphere.

Love this place. Staff are amazingly friendly. The owner is hands on and things run smoothly. Very relaxing atmosphere and very rarely queues. Just walk in ..get coffee...which incidentally is the best flat white I've had in a while..sit in or out. What's not to like.

Reasonable price, great quality food and a lovely atmosphere. Only thing that let it down for me was that it was a bit draughty every time the door opened, but other than that it was great.

The most disgusting Behaviour I’ve ever seen from a manager in the whole of my life!!!! I wish there was a minus star rating!!! We arrived in the cafe on a beautiful day and our friends were seated in the cafe. we thought we would pull up a couple of chairs and join them. One of our friends then decided to pull a table over. Before we knew it we heard the manager shouting “how dare you pick up my table, get out!! Go and find somewhere else to go!!!” He then pointed to the signs saying do not move the tables…(which looked like they were designed for a mouse to read they were so tiny) This was very awkward as the whole cafe of customers were then watching us. I just think as a manager there is a much more respectful way to say please can you not move the table, instead of shouting at my friend in an aggressive tone. Never in my life have I seen such awful behaviour. He was Like a petulant child having a hissy fit. We definitely will never be coming here again. And I think this man seriously needs to have a word with himself about how he speaks to his paying customers.

Lovely cafe and staff. The smoothies are to die for especially the mango dream one. I’m gluten free and struggle to find many gluten free options when it comes to cakes but their gluten free blueberry muffin is to die for! Best gluten free cake I’ve ever had and very reasonably priced.

Nice cafe in a lovely park setting, the food's good, and the staff are friendly. Americano coffee at £2.20 is not too dear, but £3.30 for a Latte is just ridiculously expensive, i think someone needs to adjust their pricing policy, therefore instead of a 5 star rating i can only give it 4

Really friendly, lovely food. Vegan options available. A lovely man brought out colouring books and pencils for the little ones, told Dad jokes and made us feel welcome. Lovely soft blankets for when it's chilly. Perfect!

Popped in at the end of the day on a Sunday Christmas shopping outing, almost missed last orders, but thankfully they were still serving (just). I had the tempura prawns and my nephew had a pizza. Lovely food and quickly served. Hope to be visiting again in the near future.

Terrible experience just a few weeks ago. Went there with some friends, lady at the till was incredibly rude as according to her I was ordering too many items and my order was confusing. Ordered a couple of 99p Flakes, was told off that "it is not 99p, it is more expensive than that" so she obviously didn't understand I was just referencing to the traditional name of the 99p Flakes rather than the actual price. Somehow confused that I got so much rudeness out of just ordering a few coffees and ice creams for my friends.

Our favourite spot for a coffee in Chichester. Lovely views over Priory Park, so much history to be seen including the Roman City Wall and Saxon Mound.

Poor. Popped here as visiting friend. Ordered a cheese and relish sandwich, £6:50 I presumed it'd be a nice pub type sandwich. It was just 2 cheap slices of bread, cheese wasn't even grated and just pickle, must of cost all of 50p to make. Service, average. Won't bother again

We stumbled across this place on a stroll around Chichester, and very glad we did. Very nice location overlooking the park and aviary, great staff and some amazing looking cakes that we avoided so not too add to our waistlines! Certainly a place that we'd like to go again.

The service by the owner and her staff was excellent. We very much enjoyed the pizza that we each had. They even provided some live music by Guitars in the Garden, they probably should be called Guitars in the Park. Two tallented musicians who produced the perfect atmosphere in the perfect setting. We will definitely come again and would highly recommend.

Nothing particularly special about this cafe as an entity, it passes muster. I give it 4* only because it's situated in Priory Park, a great location. Question: Why are ice creams served minus a serviette , eg cones a la 99?

Very nice ones we was seated as a few peaple just sit there talking not thinking of peaple waiting there was a very nice lady that could see the situation and spoke to her manager and it was sorted straight away and we was seated had a lovely sandwich and the best smoothy ever and a nice coffee

The team at Fenwick’s cafe went above and beyond today. They organised fantastic tables for my class of disabled young adults and provided such a delicious lunch. The food is excellent quality and really nicely presented and portioned. The team made sure that all the carers were comfortable and had everything they needed to make our outing run smoothly and the service was fast and super friendly. I would highly recommend! A great place to relax with a coffee, nice and quiet away from the bustle (even in Covid times!!) Lots of goodies to choose from at any time of day, bacon roll to sweet cakes!!

My family and I were staying in the area for the weekend and, after dropping in at Fenwicks for coffee and cake on Friday afternoon, decided to book a table for Saturday evening and 'Guitars in the Park'. We had a fabulous evening. Very friendly, welcoming staff, excellent service, and the food was great - the home made pizzas were delicious. Such a lovely spot in Priory Park, and the two guitarists made the evening something a bit different. So glad we booked a table, just a shame we don't live locally - would definitely visit again.

Whilst this is a fine place for a light lunch or tea there is one person who takes your order who is so surly an unpleasant that it puts you off returning. I say this after two visits this week when the same person took my order both times. Perhaps this message might get through to improve her attitude. I shall try one more time otherwise go elsewhere which would be a shame.

Great range of modern light bites along with sandwiches, homemade cakes, drinks, etc in a lovely relaxing setting. All at a very reasonable price.I had thai fish cakes, my daughter halloumi sticks and pizza, and my mum a prosecco. All superb.After the light meal I pushed my mum in her wheelchair around the park. Despite its small size there was lots going on - bowls, playground, cricket, wedding party, students chatting on the grass - and it was a really nice family atmosphere obviously much loved by the local community.

Lovely sitting outside and the sun shining. Very pleasant surroundings with good company. Food was nice and fresh, and a nice cuppa.

Lovely people and food in a great setting

We chanced upon this cafe with outside space and thought it looked nice, so we stopped for lunch. They offered pizzas with vegan cheese and gluten-free bases so my choice was easy - and it was absolutely delicious! Washed down with a decaff tea with oat milk, my dietary needs were all beautifully catered for. We liked it so much that we returned for another cuppa a couple of hours later 😊

An extremely popular open-air cafe and take-away service. Tables are on an as available basis with no booking so you have to be early, wait for someone to leave or be lucky. Great for people-watching.

Stopped here for a great takeaway coffee today and was pleased to hear they will now be open every day. Seats can be found nearby to enjoy a food and drink takeaway - the cafe is always popular so you may sometimes have to queue (currently outside).

Just seen Fenwicks cafe are offering children free lunch bags to take home throughout half term next week 👍🏼🙌🏼

Popped into the cafe today with two friends, all three of us had our babies with us. We sat down at a table but was only offered one high chair, as that’s all they had. No problem we said and continued to feed our babies lunch, we all had drinks, 2 coffees and a pricey fizzy elderflower.After about 20 minutes in we were informed that there was a 30 minute limit on the table...fine we said we won’t be much longer. Not once did they tell anybody else there there was a limit, there’s no signs, nothing on the website. We were singled out because we weren’t eating. Two of us left shortly afterwards, and as my friend was just packing up, within the 30 minute limit, she was told in no uncertain terms she had out stayed the limit and was made to feel very uncomfortable and upset. Incredibly inappropriate behaviour, especially when she was now on her own with a baby. I will absolutely never be buying any of your over priced drinks again, and I will be sure to pass this on to all my friends with children in Chichester.

A really nice place to sit and eat at. I've only ever been here on a few occasions in the past while out and about in Chichester. Great spot in and view of Priory Park.

It is really lovely that the Cafe now has a few tables and chairs (all very well spaced out). The staff at Fenwicks are really friendly and the coffee is great! Chichester is so lucky to have the beautiful Priory Park with this fabulous Cafe, now even more so.

So happy to see Fenwicks open, lovely staff and great food! They have the social distancing working really well and sitting in Priory Park is just a delight!

The food is pricey for what it is. But the most memorable part of the experience was how rude and unfriendly the staff were. I won’t be going back.

Great coffee friendly staff in beautiful surroundings

Fantastic location. Even better they do vegetarian sausage sandwiches. Most cafes only do cheese or egg boring. The only thing is they charge £5 for the sandwich which seems to be the going price for a sandwich but anywhere else you get chips included in the price. Also treated myself to a small bottle of wine which they charged me £5. You can buy a whole bottle of wine for that.

Nice quaint place for a lunch and a drink with the chums. Lovely views around. Time stops here as you soak in the surroundings and enjoy the ambiance. Great local staff for a chatter. Highly recommend this place. Thank you for your service and quality great value for and drinks. Ta!

This place has to be on your visit list if in Chichester An oasis in the park with a wonderful atmosphere created by friendly and helpful staff. The food is excellent with a wide variety to suit all tastes A must!
