I visited for my nephew's wedding - what a perfect spot! It works as a great space for a wedding and reception, with panoramic sea views throughout. The food was top quality and the team looked after my food intolerance (coeliac) efficiently, safely and without fuss. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Falmouth.

Absolutely fabulous meal! Awe dined with friends on the advertised ';steak night'. The quality of food was excellent; steaks perfectly cooked to each person's preference, the pepper sauce was divine and the grilled tomato/mushroom really delicious too! More themed nights please!

Our car club booked Sunday lunch here and I must say it was fantastic the restaurant is beautiful as is the view the staff very friendly and the food was exceptional we as a car club do a lunch once a month but I don’t think I have seen so many clean plates fantastic beef crispy potatoes well cooked vegetables so all in all thank you for a lovely afternoon and we will be back

Birthday lunch with a large group. Lovely setting with great views as the name suggests. Great facilities and free parking. The nut roast was delicious the veg perfectly cooked and a generous amount of gravy. Thank you Chef I loved it and judging by the comments and empty plates around the table so did my companions.

Firstly the views in this modern facility are fantastic. Personal service and very attentive in the restaurant where the menu infers a great selection. The food was excellant and freshly cooked. Great value and our new favourite place to eat in Falmouth.

Really lovely restaurant with amazing views. Food was delicious with a well varied menu for everyone. The staff are so accommodating and made us feel very welcomed and looked after.

Another wonderful meal from the new chef. We treated some friends to lunch, they had ham and cheese toasties, and loved their tasty big portions. The fish and chips dish did not disappoint , crispy light batter encasing delicate perfectly cooked fish, lovely mushy peas, and definitely moreish chips with a tartar sauce so tasty I didn't ask for ketchup as well! Thank you, we'll be back!

We turned up just as the kitchen was closing and they already had a large party in however the team could not have done more to make us feel welcome and accommodated. On top of this, the food was absolutely delicious and excellent value for money. We had fish cakes which were full of fish and not potato as they can so often be. It was a really lovely experience, particularly watching St Antonys lighthouse over the bay from afar. Will be back very soon!

Their new chef preparing superb quality food, I can honestly say I’ve not had quality like that for a very long time, hats off to the chef and his team.

Delicious Sunday lunch for my mums 88th birthday today . Plenty of food and perfect roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings Can highly recommend the whitebait and the squid for starters. Lovely traditional puddings - mum was very happy with the rice pudding and strawberry jam ! Topped off with a beautiful view over Falmouth bay .

Having eaten in the golf club a few times we were intrigued to hear of the new chef and booked onto the first Fish themed night, the staff set out the restaurant to create a good ambience and the nigh was well supported with every table reserved - it was a nice buzz and the anticipation was high for the food and we weren't disappointed as each meal that came from the kitchen was superbly presented, the crab cake sat in a bisque along with the scallops set the bar for the main course where the Hake was fantastic - the whole night was a success and the promise of more themed nights to come make Above the Bay another great addition to Falmouth's food scene.

Falmouth Road Runners turned up for breakfast and coffee after a coast path run. We had a brilliant time, thanks to the whole team at Above The Bay. They were, without exception, friendly, helpful and just so efficient! Our food/drinks were lovely, and everyone commented on what a super morning we had. We sat on the sun deck, in the warm autumn sun, and almost before we'd taken in the breathtaking view, our food and drinks, and jugs of ice-cold water just appeared like magic! Thanks so much, it was a really special morning and an absolute pleasure to be looked after so well!

Our last group visit was not great but we decided to take the owner up on a chance to re-visit. This was a good plan!! Richard was the perfect, charming host who looked after our table magnificently. There was a large group of past Lady Captains but they moved into a separate room. Our food this time was expertly cooked with the fish being perfectly cooked & the chicken was delicious leaving us with the difficult decision of what to choose for a dessert! One of the party chose to go with the Eton Mess again but what a surprise! This time it was more like the traditional one & scrummy! Others tried the Orange Chocolate Mousse which was excellent. Well done Richard & team for pulling round the bad review, taking it on the chin but learning from it as well! If this is more typical, then we look forward to a re-visit.

Had lunch here today with a group of 27 retired Coastguards. It was the first time we have visited Above the Bay and have already booked for next March. The food was excellent and by served by very pleasant and accommodating staff. The restaurant has stunning views across the bay to Pendennis Headland and beyond. A not to be missed venue 10 / 10 Thanks to all concerned see you again in March.

Booked in as a group of six with my 7yr old daughter for an evening meal. The food was excellent with a great range of choice to suit us all. The starters and small plates all looked delicious and the kids menu was great too. The staff were friendly and Jean/Jane (apologies we didn't get her name properly) was absolutely lovely. When ordering were asked if we would like our daughter's meal to arrive with the starters..... this should be offered more widely as it's such a great thing for restaurants to do! The only downside to our visit was that we came towards the end of our holiday and absolutely would have loved to go back again for breakfast. Highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and the service

We're so pleased that Above the Bay is our new local. We've been several times now for meals and the food has always been good. The Sunday lunches especially are to be recommended. The staff are great and the views from the restaurant over Falmouth Bay are wonderful. We consider ourselves very lucky to have Above the Bay on our doorstep.

We went to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Big mistake!! We had to stop our conversation whilst a golf match between Budock Vean & Falmouth meal was giving out its prizes. Then the food arrived & it was horrendous. Mushy peas in a micro pot were cool whilst the fish had its batter overcooked, the Chicken Supreme was under done & we thought that desserts may be better. How wrong could we be!! The Eton mess was anything but & at £6.50 a complete travesty! There was a strawberry that had been cut & placed around the plate, a miserably small piece of meringue & a blob of cream! There was a "specials" board on the bar but apparently they'd all gone! This could attract a good loyal local customer base if it upped it's game but on last night's meal, it has a long way to go!!

I meet with friends every Thursday lunch time for a chat and some lunch. The choice of food is good, something for every ones taste and at a reasonable price. On a sunny day nothing beats sitting at an outside table watching the keen golfers practice whilst drinking a pint and enjoying lunch. Staff do a grand job considering the restrictions due to covid.Looking forward to next weeks gathering.

12 of us enjoyed an excellent meal after 11 holes of golf. Very good choice of specials and a good menu, catered well for 12 male golfers. Bar staff and waitress couldn’t have done more of us and ensured we had all the drinks we wanted before and during a well presented and tasty main course.We will be back next Wednesday and are looking to book for at least 20 golfers next week as long as they can fit us all in!

Must have the best views of any Golf Club in Cornwall. A parkland type course for the first 11 holes followed by coastal views for the remaining 7 holes.Very cosy and social clubhouse with friendly and welcoming staff. Good choice of food on the menu and a good selection of drinks on the bar. The food was mostly homemade and cooked to order. Enjoyed the visit and would definitely recommend this Golf Club.

We are the Lunch Club from the Maritime Museum who went to the Falmouth Golf Club on Tuesday 17th December 2019. Richard and his team were very attentive and couln't do enough to make our annual visit more memorable. The food was excellent with a good selection of vegetables, the desserts were equally tasty and the vegetarian option was its usual high standard. Well done Golf Club

went for lunch a couple of months ago - but - since their fantastic chef Doug has retired, the food has gone downhill and we won't be back - sadly - until the new chef (s) realise that all we want is good, plain, old fashioned food. The new chef comes from a well-to-do restaurant and thinks that is what the golf club diners want - we do not - I believe from asking other people, the Sunday roast is now under booked and, where once we had to book to eat there - now - you can probably just turn up and get a table - should you be desperate enough!

This could have been an excellent meal. Although hot the meal was disappointing. The starter was a luke warm prawn tempura. Followed by a main meal I had the roast beef which had been over cooked along with the vegetables. I chose Panna Cotta for dessert that tasted more like cheese cake. Instead of serving people as they arrived everyone was served by table order, this would have been ok but if like us and served at the end there was nothing left to eat. We had to submit in advance what we wanted yet some never received there order. A couple of us had to leave early and requested to have our dessert early but the management refused to do this, but eventually relented and permitted this to happen. Given the choice I would not eat here again

El domingo el almuerzo es de Carvery y, para ser honesto, alrededor de 14 por 2 platos fue bastante bueno. Es un lugar agradable en un día soleado y la comida estaba bien. El servicio no fue tan bueno como en una ocasión anterior, pero como los camareros eran nuevos, estoy seguro de que mejorarán y de todos modos estaban bien. Los precios de los bares son buenos y hay un montón de aparcamiento junto con acceso para discapacitados. ps, me encantó la crema brulle.

Esto no es problema, obtienes lo que pagas por tipo de trato. Apelando a la clientela más vieja pero realmente sabrosa cena asada a un precio razonable. Te recomendaría que pases por aquí si estás en la zona un domingo. Sirve carvery con la elección de carnes y verduras. Primero en llegar, primero servido.
