Would have given 5 form the food if it had.not been swimming grease and the sausages weren't Tesco Smart Price!

Excellent proper cafe. Torquay needs more of these not pubs .....

Very nice place, service was quick. I had a plain burger with chips, which was lovely, no grease at all. latte was a little too strong for me otherwise everything else was great. Toilets are upstairs, so they are not suitable for disabled.

I went to Ewings cafe for the first time today and the baq chicken melt was very nice

1st time here and could not fault the service and breakfast. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Full English beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Staff really friendly. Highly recommend will definitely use them again. 5 Stars

Popped in for breakfast and wished we hadn't...tea was tasteless and undrinkable, bread soggy swimming in margerine, sauce cheap and runny, staff not bothered, just stood around chatting. Visited last year and it was fab, this time was awful.

Food is way over priced. £29 for 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees. Puddles of cooking oil all over the plates. Black pudding was inedible due to be soaking wet with cooking oil.

Easily the best coffee I've had in Torquay and the breakfasts here are second to none. I've visited here numerous times over the year and the food and staff are always fantastic. Everything is fresh and well prepared. Highly recommend.

First time here and absolutely loved it. Had to wait a while for our meal but is freshly cooked so was definitely worth the wait. If you want proper home cooked chips this is the place to go. I had a brunch and was delighted to see the home made chips. Just how things should be. Great service from the staff as well.

Lovely food, freshly cooked so there may be a short wait- but well worth it! The staff were all very friendly.

Always friendly staff excellent service and food

Just popped in as other places had either stopped doing breakfast, or had run out of things. Saw the sign outside - breakfast until 12. Instead of the small breakfast advertised on the board I opted for the fuller breakfast, while my wife opted for an omelette. Wow! It was amazing. So often mushrooms are frozen or tinned, these tasted like they had been picked this morning out back and done on the skillet. My wife is fussy with sausages but tried mine and agreed it was very nice. All the ingredients tasted fresh and quality. Lovely service and a really nice place inside. Thenk you, will be back!

Absolutely delicious food everything homemade and beautifully presented with excellent service. Very reasonably priced also. Would very much recommend.

A great find, the foods great and at a reasonable price, though the portion size could be a little bigger. Staff are very helpful and are happy to mix things from the menu. But check your happy with the price you will pay on ordering to make sure your happy. One thing to mention is that there are no frozen chips here, their hand cuts, and freshly fried in an air fryer... healthy.

Authentic and traditional English breakfast. Vegetarian options are available. Located at the prime spot and the taste is good. A variety of options are available and the kids menu is also present. Free WiFi on the premises and the service was great. Had a great time

Neither good or bad. 2 x breakfasts with tea for both, took more than 20 mins for drinks to arrive. Bacon was blackened, sausages not brilliant beans not very warm. Won't be going again.

The food was freshly cooked and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was nice that the waitress recognised us and acknowledged us from a previous visit there. The English Breakfast was very nice and the bacon and sausage was good quality meat which makes all the difference.

Very nice people run it very friendly always welcomes you in and you are allowed dogs in there and children welcome

Have been to Ewings on numerous occasions, and all the meals we’ve had have been wonderful, great prices, excellent service and nice staff. We recommend to anyone.

Poor presentation of food large full English was more like a small

Over priced £18.05 for 2 ham toasties a lemonade and a black coffee. Waited about 15mins to be served our food. Can't say it was value for money. Waitress was pleasant and apologetic.

This place pride themselves and staff in providing a 5 star service with great food and drink while they can not please everyone taste they do their best and serve very high quality food and everyone in this place is so nice and friendly always worth tipping and will always cone here for coffee and a brekkie....

Friendly greeting on entering,ordering food and drinks. Both of which were very tasty, cheese and ham with pickle sandwiches and a jacket potato with cheese and salad garnish. Would highly recommend,very good variety on menu and all day breakfast served here . Not too pricey for good quality food.

Fantastic breakfast of poached eggs on toast (simple but done perfectly) and a good selection of teas. Really friendly waitress, great service and wonderful with my baby. Thank you!!

I lunched at Ewings today with my husband. What a relief to be served in a near normal environment in these days of Covid hysteria. The precautions are sensible and not over the top. The staff are friendly and the food very good quality. I had a bacon and mushroom omelette - superb! My husband had a proper English breakfast. The tea was good quality too and plenty of it. Well done everyone at Ewings!!

Went there 2 days in a row for a very good breakfast whilst staying in Torquay. It is one of the best breakfast I've had.

A very good place to have a coffee stop, and also lunch was good to i recommend it jusy go and have a try and see for yourself.

On a rainy day in Torquay a quick pit stop for lunch was much needed. A friendly cafe with an extensive menu. All food cooked to order at reasonable prices. Decent portions and very tasty. We will definitely return on our next stay.

Really like this little cafe. Always has a steady flow of custom and staff work hard to keep everyone served with food cooked to order. Has lovely quality fabric on the seating arrangements.

Waited 10mins for drinks to arrive, one came 5 mins after the other (tea and hot choc). Fruit scones were actually another 10 mins by which time we had decided to change the order and leave.

Took about 5/10 mins to even be approached to order. Ordered a panini and the bread was hard, there was very little filling. Quite overpriced. Place was clean and tidy but service not so good.

I recently rang Ewings café, and believe me, it is appalling, I had the unpleasant experience of being lied to by one of the staff, as I asked to speak to a specific member of staff and was told they did not work there and that I had the wrong café when I know for a fact they work there because I know them personally , so I was lied to by a member of staff,it was a pathetic and I do not intend to ever visit.Over and out.
