Always a pleasure visiting as staff always friendly and their scones are wonderful! Lovely atmosphere and can generally get a seat.

Drinks were good. Breakfast on the other hand was disappointing. Dry rubbery scrambled egg. Sausages must've been cooked and reheated or left under lamps as they were hard. Microwaved beans so hot you couldn't turn them out the pot. Mushrooms had been sitting around for a while. Definitely a tea and cake only cafe!

Popped in her one Saturday morning and it wasn’t busy, but the tables needed cleaning and emptying from previous customers. I moved some dirty cups on to another dirty table and was grunted at by a female member of staff. The queue took ages as one member of staff appeared to be doing all the work whilst another chatted to Debenhams staff who were in the queue. The coffee was ok although never got asked for Chocolate on my cappuccino or given a teaspoon to stir it. My children had the millionaire shortbread and loved it and would go back for that only. (Thus the 4 and not lower)

Had lunch at Estro today with two of my granddaughters. As usual the staff were very friendly, obliging and provided excellent service. Hot food was very tasty and served promptly. On the many previous occasions I have eaten here with family have never been disappointed so finally got round to doing this. .

We haven't been here for a long time but we were pleasantly surprised as the good was ok and the cafe was nice. Good can be variable but probably comparable to a lot of other cafes. With the West Berkshire Mum's card you also get 20% discount which makes it very attractive.

We went for lunch on a quiet Saturday. There was nothing in the fridge to go in the kids picnic box except chocolate and this was not addressed or explained, even when we asked the staff specifically. The young lady who served us was utterly disinterested and incredibly slow to sort our order. We had to repeat ourselves, she didn't smile once and didn't give us a full set of cutlery. She wasn't actively rude, which I suppose is something. Mess on the floor under the table which wasn't cleared and some of the food order was missing when the dishes came out. The food was average at best. On the bright side, the views over the park are fabulous and we were pleased that Gluten free and vegetarian options were available. There are nicer places to eat locally.

I've read the reviews and thought it would be unpleasant, but it wasn't. The staff are a little hostile, few smile and words, HOWEVER I watched them carry trays for older people and people with pushchairs. A lot of places wouldn't do that. The coffee was nice and made well. My daughter had caramel shortbread and it was lovely, not too rich. The are is clean, the tables are cleaned immediately and the chairs comfy. The food was stocked well and there was a good selection of cakes. Well done ... now teach your staff to smile more and you are on to a winner

Alright food but miserable service from a young Tattooed woman spoilt it a bit. Doesn't cost anything to smile does it?

Being on the 2nd floor you get good views over the park and Newbury. Food and drink were served by polite and friendly staff and comfy seating make it enjoyable. The menu was rather limited but this is a cafe rather then a so called restaurant so was perfectly acceptable. There are many places to eat and drink nearby but I would certainly recomend this one.

A friend on her way to Southampton suggested we should meet up here with another friend to have a catch up. We were quite surprised as we arrived together that nobody was about, no customers and no staff. We then spotted someone clearing tables and then saw a head pop out from the kitchen, but still had to wait a little while before being served: the staff member in the kitchen assumed the one clearing the tables was going to serve us. When we were served the guy was very friendly and polite and brought our drinks over to us, possibly by way of apology for having us wait.

I was very glad to come across the Estro Cafe at Debenhams in Newbury. Our hotel offered a boxed breakfast, but luckily we opted to eat here instead. The cafe offers several breakfast options and opens at 9 am during the week. They are reasonable priced, clean, and a great view overlooking Victoria Park.

The food and drink in here is average if that, and isn't particularly great value. I would suggest going elsewhere if you're after anything half special for lunch. What we do like about it is the restaurant itself. It's nice in there and there's never normally a rush. However the food has been cold and stale on more than once occasion so 3 stars is being polite...

Popped in to Estro for a quick snack, we decided to have Carrot cake and a cappuccino. the surroundings were very clean and with a nice lighting. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We sat at the far end which gave us a nice view over Victoria Park.

After a trip out to Kintbury decided to Google local Toby and quickly booked on line and luckily could get a table. Warm and welcoming staff. Clean restaurant and the Carvery meat all available with all accompanying vegetables hot. Quick service. Left a happy customer. Thanks again.
