Enzee in New Forest

We were staying in Lyndhurst as a family group to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. I picked this restaurant, as it was within easy walking distance of where we were staying & when I telephoned to make the booking, they were very friendly & helpful. When we arrived at 7pm the restaurant was full (Easter Saturday), but our table was all ready. There was a bit of a mix up with drinks, but was all put right. Orders were taken for starters & main for 10 of us) Gain, there was a little bit of a mix up wit( the starters, with only half of them arriving, but the rest came soon after with many apologies. Food was good & reasonably priced. We were all offered a lemon cello to finish the meal.

Dolce Vita is certainly an "italianised" restaurant for the UK market. Stuck in the 80s, with its surrounding and the menu items. The calamari as a starter were slightly chewy and the scallops didn't need the mushroom sauce. The biggest disappointment was the pizza, the base was more like a focaccia and I am not sure the base was made fresh. In Italy, all pizzeria have the oven as open view to the guests, but there was no sign of the oven in the restaurant I also found it very upsetting the waitress was waiting behind us when paying and the credit card machine had 15% - 18% and 20% as option for the service, and we felt overlooked and pushed to choose 15% as option for the service where a 10% would have been plenty and actually too much!

Highly recommend. From start to finish it was all perfect. We had my fiancés birthday meal here last night and it was incredible. The staff were amazing - So warm, welcoming & accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. The decor and general ambiance were both spot on . The food was absolutely incredible - I went for the spaghetti carbonara but opted to change the spaghetti for tagliatelle and also added in some chicken (everything made fresh to order so you could swap pasta type / add in / adapt anything you wanted ) It was the best pasta dish I’ve ever had ! 10/10. We both went for the tiramisu for dessert which was nicely presented and was also delicious. Would 100% return when / if next in the area.

Came for an evening meal for my birthday with couple of friends. Front of house waiter greeted us pleasantly & gave us a choice of 2 different tables. He chatted to us gave us the menus & left us while we got settled. When he came to take our order he also checked who had the shellfish allergy. I was impressed with this as I'd mentioned that as a comment when I booked online. I ordered Penne Salmone which was really tasty & piping hot. The other mains were also good. We all had tirimasu for dessert & as it was my birthday he popped a candle in mine & sang 'happy birthday'. We finished with coffees. Hubby & I had Amaretto coffees which were excellent. Lovely atmosphere, excellent food & service - definitely recommend x

Fresh well cooked Italian food fabulous minestrone soup to start, prawn and broccoli linguine and a filet it couldn’t be faulted! A certain go to when in Lyndhurst great ambience good service super staff left feeling very satisfied!

Excellent food, although a full house and staff very busy they maintained a high quality of food and service . We have gone back many times now sometimes for a large family occasion and have not been disappointed. 🙂🙂

I booked this restaurant last Saturday evening as it looked the ideal cosy venue for a surprise get together for my wife with some local friends that we hadn't seen for a while. So glad that I did as the Italian food was lovely, enjoyed by all of us, the vibrant atmosphere added to the evening and although very busy, the friendly staff were always on hand checking that were happy with everything. The restaurant is small, stylishly decorated and the staff were very welcoming. I would certainly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to visit again the next time that I'm in the area. Superb authentic Italian restaurant. Fantastic evening, every course was excellent and full of flavour and the service was impeccable. Would certainly highly recommend.

Meet up with our best friends here for lunch , a lovely warm welcome and drinks and starters , our main meals of prawns and pasta with chilli was spot on and a great portion, can't wait yo return to this little gem of a restaurant 😋

We stopped by on our way to Bournemouth as I had driven for a few hours and needed a rest and something to eat. Even though we hadn't booked we were found a table. The wood was well cooked, well presented and very tasty. We weren't kept waiting for service or our food. I very welcome stop off. I hope to return when I can sample a lot more of the menu.

My wife & I were visiting from Devon. We had the most delicious Tagliatelle Gamberetti and the service was outstanding. Thank you to Carlo and Lynn. We will definitely visit again.

Popped in last night for an early dinner with our two kids (age 3 & 6) as we were staying up the road. A lovely family run restaurant - staff very friendly & attentive and pizzas were delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

Whilst we just opted for a takeout pizza today; the staff were friendly and pleasant. The restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. The pizza, it was very good. A thin light base with good topping. We will be back to eat in.

Really lovely Italian restaurant and amazing quality food. Quiet when we arrived which did impact the atmosphere a bit but this did not ruin what was a lovely meal and evening. The chef was able to adapt my meal which I really appreciated. Although food did take a bit of time to arrive you could definitely tell the food was made freshly and to order which made the wait worth it.

Food so good we booked for the following night while paying for the meal, friendly staff, amazing food and a great atmosphere. If we return to the area then we'll be sure to book again

Lovely little restaurant, we went on a monday night, there was plenty of space with only 4 other tables being filled. The waitress kept us standing at the entrance for several minutes whilst she was dealing with a table, although she caught our glance, she didn't at all indicate or sign she was aware of us and would be over in a minute so felt awkward just standing there. Other than that, the service was OK , she didn't ask if we wanted any more drinks when delivering food and wasn't as attentive as I would have appreciated, so only 3 stars for customer service. However, what saved the review was the food! OMG, the calamari fritte was by far the best calamari I have ever tasted, in previous meals out at other restaurants i have found it normally it comes over fried and tasteless, this though was full of flavour, cooked to perfection and came with the nicest tartar sauce. My wife had the garlic bread (which I may have stole a slice) and was crisp and flavoured to perfection. We both went for pizzas for main, we both were very impressed with them, tasted like true Italian pizza. The base had the perfect crisp to it, not all soggy etc, the toppings were plentiful and flavoursome, I had the meat house special, and it hit the spot with the perfect amount of heat. If we are in the New Forest again we would certainly visit this restaurant again!

Visited on a Friday night with my husband for my birthday, we enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal with a couple glasses of wine, the staff are very friendly and attentive, we will defiantly come back again, so lovely to enjoy lovely fresh well cooked food at reasonable prices in the New Forest

Really nice restaurant with an intimate feel. The calamari was lovely & fresh and the pasta well seasoned-my husband had the pasta carbona & I had penne amatricanna. It was quiet as it was a Monday night but I would recommend booking if going at the weekend or nearer to Christmas.

Wanted to try somewhere different. Visited on a Monday night. Food was brilliant - real authentic Italian. Chef (owner?) came out a number of times to check food was good. Decor and finishing inside was fresh and welcoming. Was quiet so only one waitress working front of house, service was efficient, but think she was stressed and wasn’t particularly welcoming.

Went for dinner to Dolce Vita with friends and the whole dining experience was wonderful. From the warm welcome, to the lovely ambience of the restaurant and then the delicious food. Its a varied menu and every person in our party of 6 loved their chosen dish. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant when you visit Lyndhurst or the surrounding area.

We visited on a Sunday evening. Service was prompt and friendly. The menu had a lot of options, and most of the mains came with fries, salad or veg as a side. The only minor criticisms are that both of our mains (veal and chicken) had a little too much sauce and the dessert options were quite limited. However, we enjoyed the meal overall.

We were looking for a quick and easy meal while staying in Lyndhurst. Although the restaurant looked dark and shut we realised there were people inside and it was open. It was much larger than we expected and the Italian food on offer was excellent....

We had a very nice meal here tonight. It was early and we popped in on the the off chance that we could be seated as we had been travelling around most of the day. We were greeted warmly and enjoyed a pizza each and my husband had a panna cotta which we all ended up enjoying too!! All in all, a great family-friendly restaurant.

Spending a weekend away, we came across this restaurant purely by chance and booked for a Saturday evening. Greeted warmly, we were shown to our table and found the restaurant to be stylish, beautifully presented, modern and full of atmosphere, with a constant flow of diners livening the atmosphere as the place filled up. The menu was, well, typically Italian, (isn't that why you go there) and although portion size was a little 'suspect', the quality and flavour more than made up for this and my wife and I enjoyed some of the best food and service that we've had anywhere, with our respective pasta sauces, (bolognaise and al salmone), beyond excellent. Staff were super friendly, service was outstanding, the food was heavenly and we had a wonderful evening, but the test of any restaurant relates to whether we'd return and on this occasion, the answer is, in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!!

Food was piping hot and tasty and the portions were large. Restaurant was very clean, a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Very nice restaurant but noise level made it quite difficult to be heard when talking to the people on your table. The table was wobbly, we asked to change but nothing was done to improve the table wobble for the next customers. My glass also had lipstick on it when I received it.

Arrived at 8:30 bang on time. Drinks ordered by 8:40. Food ordered shortly afterwards, all lovely. So then nothing for an hour, staff avoided eye contact as it became apparent there was a serious delay issue. Eventually, we were offered a wine top up "sorry for the delay" which ended up on the bill!! Such a shame cos the food (when it came) was delicious but it was like, let's just ignore the problem and it will be ok. Well it wasn't.. . We have eaten here before and had a lovely time but this was managed so poorly. We know restaurants have problems from time to time (we have been in the trade) but this should have been dealt with so much better. Very poor customer service - didn't even get offered a lemoncello at the end.

Third visit. We come here for lunch with our local relatives as very child friendly for their 4yr old. This time, service was a bit slow despite very few covers. Food ok but nothing special. Reasonably priced. Wine too expensive. Have a beer instead. Will come again.

So where should I start...steak was chewy,not sure if it was beef or a slice of John Deere tractor tire. Chips came with it was fresh...about 3 hours ago. Pizza dough was quite similar to a half dry clay slice and the toppings were nicely stacked in the middle,but nowhere else. So the food is good if you're on a diet as you will not want to eat it. Italian...are you joking? It's a disgrace to call it Italian.

Nice place to eat, we had the penne al pollo, the pasta was cooked to perfection " Al Dente" but then I wouldn't expect anything else from an Italian restaurant run by Italians.

Food disappointingly bland. No seasoning in either of our main courses. Coffee almost cold. Service medioca. No preparation - wine brought, no glasses. Food brought, no cutlery... disappointed as we were expecting better.

£50 for 4 of the worst pizzas I’ve every tasted in my life - didn’t think it was possible to eat pizza that actually tasted bad especially when as hungry as we were! Avoid.

Brilliant classy with great traditional food and charming staff

My husband and I visited Enzee in Lyndhurst whilst we were in Brockenhurst for our mini-moon. Not only was the food excellent, but our servers went out of their way to provide us with some tasty extras when they heard it was our honeymoon and we absolutely loved getting to know them and the team. I would have happily gone back every single night (and we are pizza connoisseurs, even if I say so myself!)

Had a lovely Birthday lunch today with my family. Fantastic food and service. Best Italian meal I have had. Thank you Carlo and Vinnie.
