Jack N Grill isn’t here anymore must of gone to get the pail of water.

Can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. The food was always freshly done and a good portion. Used regularly when I lived in Hythe, the take away and delivery they did during the pandemic was much appreciated. Whenever I've been down to see my parents, we've always gone there for dinner. An absolute shame they're closing down, will be sorely missed and gutted I'm not able to stop by for one last meal.

Closed. Just came up at 19:30, says closes as 20:30. Had the food before really nice.

It’s a rare occurrence in these difficult times to eat out and be blown away by the food and attentive service! Tonight I gorged on ‘The Notorious P-I-G’ with mouth watering pulled pork, pork belly, smoky bacon and the delicious bacon jam, topped off with a side of the ‘Nashville Chicken Mac’. Tom the chef has created my ultimate meal; my mouth is still bursting with the perfect balance of flavours, the passion really has shone through and long may it last. Thank you ‘Jack N Grill’, I felt welcomed and left full of love.

Visited on a week night. Only one other small table in. Warm welcome by a lady (who then disappeared). Menu was extensive. Lots of items not available though, which was disappointing. I’m trying to order with goats cheese, were given a run down on how it was too expensive to buy. Ordered a premium gin and premium tonic - delivered warm as no ice or lime due to them Not having received a delivery. Well sorry guys, but you’ve got Lidl and Waitrose a hop skip and jump away, so not sure why an independent place couldn’t grab supplies? Burgers and sides were great and I loved the fact they do Tater Tots! Service was slow. 10% service charge included on the bill - I don’t appreciate this for a table of 4. I probably would return, but would have different expectations next time.

Food is good but menu is too extensive, needs to be scaled back a bit. We have visited three times now and have been the only people in there on each occasion.

What a choice of burgers, chicken burgers, hot dogs and fries! Too much choice, I can't decide! 😅 What I had was delicious and will definitely go again. He rest of the guys thought it great too. Very friendly staff.

I didn’t really enjoy the food as I had my order messed up, instead of vegetarian burger I’ve got a normal cheeseburger then changed to goats cheese burger that came completely cold inside. It wasn’t to nice, to much chutney. We had few things on our order multiplied and the bill was very high. We could eat a much better meal in a nicer restaurant for that money.

Keep forgetting to come here but went the other day and remembered how good it was! Food delicious and catered for gluten free (coeliac) really well, being able to eat most things on the huge menu. Portion sizes great. Will be coming back for sure!

Been a few times now, every time very impressed! We get the sliders selection for £25 - for two people it’s a lot of food and great value! Would highly recommend, run by nice friendly people too

The only thing that surpasses the quality of food is the size of the menu! It's huge! Which gives the perfect excuse to revisit so, no complaints here. Staff are clearly very personally invested in ensuring everyone enjoys their food. It feels more like you've popped over your aunties for dinner than a restaurant. Highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of celebrating our grandsons birthday here and the food and the staff were amazing, the owner made a special effort to keep my wife’s food separate from the rest of the food as she is a celiac and all her food has to be gluten free. They had to cater for 11 adults and 7 children in our party and they catered for us with no fuss and bother Been there a few times now and every visit has been perfect You will not get better food or service in Southampton

Needs to be made more homely. It was freezing cold had to eat with our coats on. Food was good, it has potential.

Best burgers for miles around-and the choice is just unbelievable!!! Very rare to go somewhere and find literally so much choice-is a tough decision to decide what NOT to have. We had a traditional ‘American Burger’, a chilli jam burger and my daughter had a crispy chicken burger. All were absolutely amazing, and the accompanying fries and onion rings were absolutely delicious. Totally stuffed by the end. Family run business, super friendly and welcoming. We will be back soon!

Had a brilliant lunch here. Staff were very friendly. And there was such a massive choice of food. Easily the best burger joint in the Southampton area and definitely worth the journey.

The restaurant itself has good decor with modern elements that make the atmosphere pleasant. They have an extensive menu primarily focused on burgers and dogs, which may overwhelm some people but the food we had was truly exquisite. Highly recommend and just wish it was located nearer to visit it frequently.

Best meat and plant based menu I’ve come across. Want to give a big shout out to the team at Jack n Grills. Wife and I are plant based and a lot of our friends are not. The burger and dog menu is the most extensive I’ve come across in the UK, for both meat and plant based cuisine. And their seasoned fries are spot on. I had the mega plant burger and Wifey had a crushed vegetable burger. We were told the chilli jams they use are home made. And I believe them, because it tasted far too good to have come from one of those “Pub Catering Suppliers” that’s for sure. Others ordered meat burgers and they looked amazing. And everyone was very impressed with the taste and flavours. Great venue. Great ambience. Superb and helpful staff. Excellent front of house. Extremely high quality food preparation and delivery. Great menu choice for both meat and plant based cuisine. Definitely on my “Return To List”. A very rare 5 Star for me.

I’ve eaten in a lot of burger joints and smoke houses across the US and UK. This place is on a par with the best I have eaten in. As we are in the UK, if you know restaurants like Almost Famous, Bleeker St, Flank or Burger & Beyond then this place is on a par or better than those guys. If Five Guys is your idea of the ultimate burger, then you need to go to Jack n Grill and they will re-educate you.It’s a family restaurant and while the decor/set up is basic (don’t expect to see guitars or Canoes hanging off the walls like typical US style eateries) the welcome is superb with friendly staff and locals and good music. The food is genuinely sublime. You will need a few visits to get through the ridiculous number of burger options. Regular hand made burgers with Pretzel buns (awesome) or smashed burgers (5 guys style thinner burgers) or chicken burgers. There must be over 60 options. I had the Elvis. Regular burger with peanut butter and bacon with a chilli jam and it was one of the best burgers I’ve tasted. Add to this the huge variety of loaded fries (I had the nacho fries) and the variations are endless! Feedback from the group of ten of us was universally positive. People of Hampshire , you have one of the most innovative and delicious burger restaurants in the UK on your doorstep. You should be queuing round the block to get in this place and I think you will be once the word gets out.

Firstly, I sent an email enquiry before our visit and the response to that was a good indicator of the high level of customer service you can expect to receive here. The menu looked amazing and we were not disappointed! We had a burger, ribs and some sides to share and every mouthful was a delight! We had a brilliant experience here and I would highly recommend it to anyone. We would definitely return if in the area again. Thank you.

Family run local business. Booked in advance as the place is popular on a Saturday. Very COVID safe. Large choice of beef and chicken burgers, hot dogs and fries how ever you like them. Food was awesome and filling. Brilliant service and very friendly. Not hurried and had really good chat with them all after my meal about cars and their music play list, both of which my son and and I like.

I’ve worked here for a year now and I’ve never met a chef who cares about the quality of the food as much as the head chef. Amazing food with spot on price for the big portion sizes. One of the best places to eat out in Hythe for sure !

Had a takeaway from jack n grill this evening and it was delicious, everything was piping hot and fresh! Although they were extremely busy the food came to our door in no time. Can’t wait to dine in when lockdown is over. Thankyou Jack n grill!

Sub standard food, bun was wet and greasy, burger was relatively tasteless, when I complained I was met with rudeness from the staff.

Really good meal here tonight. Very well managed Covid safe arrangements, delicious burgers. The Mac fries (delicious chips smothered with macaroni cheese) was yummy. Good value for money.

With its American-influenced menu, this new eatery has survived the lockdown by doing takeaways. Very careful with COVID, food is placed on a special table adjoining the one where you eat, for you to collect. Huge, succulent burgers with combos of toppings, chips, corn and all other expected trimmings. Shame that desserts are not back on the menu yet.

We stumbled on this restaurant during a recent visit to Hythe and highly recommend it! Its a large menu with good choices for meat and plant based food. The food was fast and incredible! Great quality ingredients and great tasting results. Go with an appetite as you'll want to try lots! Great and different drinks selection too. The couple who own it with their children, are so polite and friendly and they really made our day.

We had an amazing lunch at Jack'N'Grill. The menu has increased since our last visit with plenty of options, whether you are after a meat lunch or a plant based lunch with the added bonus of having gluten free burger buns! Our lunch was generous portions, but there were empty plates at the end of the meal, so no complaints. The meal was very tasty and the service excellent. A return visit will be on the cards!

We had not eaten at Jack and Grill for sometime but having heard it had changed hands we decided to give it a go . We booked a table and on arrival the staff were attentive and helpful. The burgers were of good quality and meat sourced locally . I don’t normally eat the bread rolls but these were really very nice and i could not leave it alone. For a midweek dinner out it was perfect . Just beware though they only take cash .

I go in once a week with my children and they love the kids menu. The kids meals are cooked fresh to order as well and always very tasty, my kids always ask if we can go to jack n grill for dinner after school.

Stopped here for food yesterday evening and it was incredible! Burgers were juicy and full of flavour, not dry and bland like you find with a lot of burgers. The new buns are perfect as they don’t just break apart and crumble away once they get juiced up from the fillings which I absolutely loved, I also had loaded buffalo fries which were spot on, not too much buffalo sauce but they weren’t lacking it just a perfect amount. Service was great and even got to speak with the new owners who are absolutely lovely and friendly. Will definitely be coming back again and again! Thankyou jack n grill for your hospitality

We were looking for a cafe but so glad we found this place.... My son rated his burger as the best he's ever had; wife's crab+lobster patty was delicious and so were the chicken thighs I had. Particularly liked the home-made coleslaw. And amazingly good value.

Placed an order for £56 Was told it would be done in 1hour. We then went to collect our food at 9.15 ready for a birthday meal and was told they forgotten our order..... Nothing but well were sorry the ticket didnt print!!!!!!! Yeah thanks 4 that

Fantastic time at Jack n Grill celebrating 8 year old birthday. The new owners were fab hosts ensuring everyone had what they needed food and drink wise. They also included some little key rings that our children loved. We will certainly be going more regularly now.

A bunch of us went to jack and grills last night, the new owners were great, the food was lovely,we all had something different which was hot and tasty.we will definitely be back.

Best steak dinner, at a very good price, we had the 10oz steak x2 and bottle of wine for £30. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommended.

Dirty floor, used plates were left piled on tables everywhere when we walked in and weren’t cleaned away in whole time we were sat in the building. If that’s the front of house then I dread to think what the hygiene is like out the back in the kitchen where they prepare the food.

Stopped in with our baby fir a quick lunch. They had high chairs which was great and it was easy to get a pushchair in the doors. The lady serving was lovely and very efficient, good selection of beers and soft drinks. The burgers were delicious - we had a cheeseburger and fries and then a no-bun burger with salad. Good value for decent food - we'll be back! Thank you!

From the outside I wasn't sure if this would be a typical cafe style meal, but saw the positive reviews so decided to give it a try. First impressions were very much mistaken!

Food was spot on and atvyge price paid for the food we had as 3 adults cannot be beaten.

Decent food. But not amazing. More of a cafe style “chuck the frozen onion rings in the fryer” kind of place. I was expecting it to smell like a smoke house but it smelt more like a greasy spoon. We all stank of frying when we left. That being said I Enjoyed the food but I won’t return.

Amazing food. Brilliant atmosphere and very good customer service. I have had many visits to Jack n Grill and haven’t had a bad meal yet! Staff are always polite and friendly and the food is always spot on. Hot and freshly cooked! Will continue to have meals in and take aways.

The burgers are delicious, and the blueberry cheesecake is a must.

When I viewed this restaurant from the outside I was a bit concerned that it was little more than a simple cafe but nothing could have been further from the truth.

Had a lovely burger was perfect! Would definitely visit again And the chilli sauce on the table got me hooked! Good service and reasonably priced. Shame I didn't take a picture.. Enjoy

Okay, so I have to say for starters, DONT waste your time with the milkshakes. It's 100% store bought milkshake mix with stuff chucked in. (I'm passionate af about milkshakes sad I know) Now. Holy Jesus Christ I have NEVER had a burger as nice as this. Ever. SO GOOD. More than happy with this grub. The owner makes his own cheese sauce for the loaded fries and I'm honestly so jealous its a secret. If the recipe ever goes missing it totally wasn- ok it was me.

Our 2nd visit and still amazed at how good it is here. Food served hot - server was friendly - menu was varied enough for the theme. Everything here is just perfect. 2 sides/ 2 mains/ 4 soft drinks came to £38 and was worth every penny. The music is played at the right level with a good selection of tunes. A great place to visit.
