I can honestly say this was one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten in and eaten in so many. The restaurant has a lovely, relaxed but special vibe. The staff are exceptional. The food was out of this world!!! Incredible ingredients, flavours and beautifully presented. We chose a red, an expensive red, but instead of taking our order, we were told it’s tanning and mix might not go with our dish. We were instead recommended a different wine that was so yummy we ordered a second. Super impressed. This is a destination restaurant and we’ll be back again and again

The most amazing service and food. So welcoming and friendly with a great menu at a reasonable price. Very well kept wines which were delicious. The staff were so great, lovely to see a family run business with young staff that were attentive and well trained in customer service. Thank you, we will be back.

We had dinner last night, 4 of us including my 9 years daughter. It is the second time we come for dinner and we had yet again a great culinary experience. Service was excellent too. We will definitely be back!

Great restaurant with lovely attentive staff. We had a lovely meal, mussels and the terrine for starters. Both were excellent and brilliantly presented. Main courses of steak and the chicken. Both were cooked to perfection. Large portions, so much so, we unfortunately couldn't manage a dessert. Lovely bottle of wine and complimentary drinks to start with to celebrate a special birthday. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It's a tad pricey, but definitely worth it. Can't wait to go back.

Having read some very complementary reviews I though this would be a good place to take my friend to eat on her birthday. It was difficult to chose from the menu as there was a very restricted choice. Our starter was promising , tasty but small portion and quite fatty. The main course of Chicken Croquettes We’re exceptionally salty, I couldn’t eat it all. Desserts were excellent. Staff where very pleasant. With 1 bottle of SB wine at (£40) a bottle Total for a meal for 2 over £150 Certainly not cheap.

My wife and I had dinner there Wednesday evening. We had probably the best food ever in Lymington and the New Forest which we have been visiting for over thirty years! The restaurant itself is very nicely done, great decor, good quality napkins, glasses, crockery and cutlery. All very well and thoughtfully done. I had pork belly with black garlic, rib eye steak and chocolate brownie. Cookery, presentation, seasoning all perfect. My wife had a tomato salad, grey mullet (not on the menu but offered by the chef as fresh in that day) and the crumble. Again all perfect. Very rarely do you get consistent cooking of this quality combined with excellent service, good wine selection and all at sensible prices. When in Lymington again this will be out first choice without any doubt. Thanks to chef and Maitre de. It was terrific in every regard.

Wow! Absolutely stunning food, every bite was delicious, very attentive waitresses, Gavin came out of the kitchen to say hello and have a little chat which was nice. Loved it! Certainly the best food we’ve eaten in the south since moving from Manchester 10 years ago.

As usual we had a very enjoyable lunch here today. Despite having two vegetarians and one gluten free out of the five of us, nothing was too much trouble. We all had different very tasty roasts. Followed by some good desserts, the toffee roulade was great. The Ship’s Sunday roast is definitely the best around here.

Just wanted to take this opportunity to praise offbeet for never failing to deliver excellence. The restaurant was sadly closed by the government during the first wave of the pandemic and the team have bounced back during such a difficult time and adapted to meet with the ever changing government guidelines. They have created the new Offbeet deli open on weekends and I have to say, visiting on a Saturday for a doughnut and coffee is truly the highlight of my week. The team are always so welcoming and friendly and go out their way to assist and answer any questions that I might have. I would recommend to anyone! :)

This review is based on my experience on the day and could be different for you, but I doubt it. Superb service from this F&C take away and excellent food to boot to. Called ahead and asked if they cooked Gluten Free on a Saturday - was advised it was cooked Tuesday to Saturday- as one member of our party had an eating disorder. Complied our order and called back a 2nd time and placed the order and was told it would be made immediately. Drove there and collected it after paying. Superb service. FYI- they do not deliver so collection is the only option. F&C was excellent and tasty all found, no complaints and empty plates as was the add on food expected within a fish and chip shop that we purchased. Have to say the Saveloys were superb and very tasty. So to summarise, superb helpful staff, fantastic food, good for people with food allergies, all sorted very quickly Try it you will be back Trudy me on this.

No starters. Enjoyed the Cornish hake with spinach, mashed potatoes and asparagus and Mrs enjoyed the fish cakes. Smaller portions than expected but this meant we both had plenty of room for dessert and can report that the spiced rum and chilli soaked pineapple with mango pieces and coconut yoghurt was gorgeous. Draught Doom bar was disappointingly gassy, like lager, but overall experience was enjoyable. Beautiful views of coast, sea and IOW and gents toilet interestingly housed various signed football shirts. Dog friendly with separate section for well-behaved dogs. Rules for dogs are on the entrance hall wall!
