I visited Whitby by rail on a very busy, hot day and was desperate to find a cafe which welcomed dogs. This cafe was great, we (myself and my two dogs, Buddy and Marley) were made very welcome and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. I can recommend the passionfruit cake - it was fantastic.

the last time we visited this cafe it was cramped and dark but the new owners have completely revamped the place into a light and airy cafe that is very welcoming and staffed with friendly and welcoming people. The food looked delicious and they serve ice cream floats which is a personal retro favourite of ours. I recommend I visit if you are in the area especially as it is situated off the main street in a very pleasant courtyard away from all the hustle and bustle of the shops.

Greeted by staff and shown to inside table very nicely laid out they were very friendly and attentive. We ordered ice cream floaters as a cool down brought back lots of memories followed by coffee. Could not fault this little hidden gem and would recommend a visit

Adequate, if you want sandwiches from sliced bread and tea made with bags. They can't cope with allergies and only take cash.

Absolutely lovely!! All the staff are sweet and kind and really do look after you! We didn’t feel rushed and felt at home. Excellent customer service and overall just a lovely place to visit. Thank you to the lady that served us, she was absolutely adorable, I wish we got her name. She wore glasses and told us about her family and was just really really lovely. Will definitely go back when we’re next in the area :)

This is a lovely friendly cosy cafe serving very good coffee and food. On our first visit we had excellent coffees and sandwiches and the most delicious Chocolate Orange cake. On this first visit I saw people sharing a Ploughman's platter which I ordered on our 2nd visit. It is excellent - loads of variety and all high quality . Soup is home made as are all or most of the cakes. Very friendly family run - perfect for a mid day snack/coffee/meal. Loved it.

My wife ordered a take away with a difference, and what a refreshing change to the usual boring, tasteless and mediocre standard of whitby take aways. What was delivered was as fresh as can be, seafood platter wow, Mediterranean meat platter wow, ploughmans platter again wow. Can't recommend high enough

Having enjoyed a previous visit, we called for lunch. Sad to say the food wasn't as good. Ploughmans Platter had gone downhill since our last visit, dry/stale bread, poor quality cheap and nasty pork pie and ditto scotch egg.. I could go on. A shame as the service was friendly and helpful.Ellies,if you can't keep a item on the nenu consistant regardless of the time of year...TAKE IT OFF THE NENU. Won't be back.

This little cafe is nicely decorated, but the staff are very quiet, the food was basic and expensive. Over £10 for a small soup and bagel with no garnish. Poor value compared to other tearooms in the town

First visit. First impression delightful location. Extremely poor / processed quality food (not uncommon with many cafes/tea shops). Very small slice of cake and eclair with equally small dollop ice cream, cup of tea and mug coffee cost £12.70. As with the venue people seem nice. Accept dogs (which is great). Suggest review and improve quality of food and presentation. Leaving a used cigarette ashtray on table not indicative of professional service.

We are staying locally a d wish we had found this pub earlier in the week. A warm welcome a d great food. My husband had chicken pie and i had the sea bass. Good portions, well cooked and piping hot. We had bread and butter pudding and rice pudding afterwards. Again both excellent 👌.

My wife uses a walker. We had never been to the Deli before so were unsure how to proceed. The staff completely ignored us. It was as if we were not there, or invisible. Even as we walked out of the Deli, no staff member offered any acknowledgement of us!

Gorgeous place to come to and is always on our list as a ' must go to'when we are in Filey. Beautiful setting and everything here is really delicious. The lemon meringue tart and coffee cake are to die for. It's lovely sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine. Sadly it was raining today and as we have a dog we couldn't go in, there was some seating under a canopy for the ice creams but sadly for us just a bit too chilly to sit out. It is cash only so that is something to always remember when visiting.

I booked this venue for my son's 40th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble, and they even offered to step in when we didn't think the disco was going to come! Lovey and clean, excellent room.
