We come here every Sunday. The food and coffee are excellent, the staff are even better. Can’t sing their praises enough!

Popped into elephant to complete some work. The atmosphere was lovely, staff were incredibly friendly to myself and other customers, going above and beyond to sling out amazing coffees with a smile. One of the worker, Tasha, was so lovely and easy to talk to. Ordered a latte with a breakfast sourdough. The latte came promptly followed shortly by my gorgeous sourdough. The coffee was the perfect temperature and delicious. I asked where they got their coffee from. Super impressed to find out Tasha prepared the coffee beans herself just across the road in the elephant roastery. The breakfast sourdough suited my appetite perfectly. A soft and spongy sourdough batch with sausage and bacon. Will definitely be going back, and even take some friends with me. They had plenty of different options for food, however first come first served! Their food is made fresh daily down at their bakehouse in parkgate.

Called in for a beer and pizza about 5pm. The first pizza was rock hard and had clearly been standing around for a while. We sent it back. Apart from that an enjoyable experience

Nice place for brunch after a walk. Good selection of drinks and sandwiches. All in all a nice stop off for a coffee, or a beer if you fancy.

First time in new store....it was a reasonable experience but not great. Lighting very dim ...almost impossible to read newspaper. Bacon was lean but barely cooked. ..maybe my fault for not asking for preference of well cooked. Outside tables under cover would be better placed against wall of cafe instead of planters as all wet and unusable. Neither ash trays or litter bin in evidence.

Amazing what they have done to the old shoe shop, lovely staff Coffee ☕ very nice not bitter Only negative is that the tables are very close together, I had to move to let people in to the table next to me, if you are on the bench seat you feel like you are sitting with the group next to you and you can't talk to your friend opposite... They definitely need to reduce the number of tables along the bench seat to make customers feel more comfortable..

Love going here as we can take the dog, however visiting in January puts me off returning. I ordered some food and drinks along with my sister and father and then decided I wanted a cold drink. I got £1.00 out to purchase a can of fanta to be asked for £2.80!!!! I can not believe someone can charge £2.80 for a can of fanta. I bought the drink out of shock and embarrassment. I am not tight with money in the slightest but this was just a joke. What I feel sorry for is the people who have come out, and have a few kids that fancy a cold drink for them to be embarrassed to say they can’t have it because it will cost nearly £3.00 for one drink. Nichols was selling the same drink for £0.80p We even asked a staff member if this was correct and they were embarrassed. This Just shows pure greed. I know we are in inflation but this just is a joke.

I was merrily scrolling on snap maps when I noticed elephant coffee had an icon. Being my regular cafe, I clicked on it and was shocked to discover the only tripadvisor rating was one star, a guy quite literally crying over spilt milk (get a grip mate, if you order a drink obviously they’ll charge you for the drink that’s how businesses tend to work). I’ve seen that the google reviews are significantly better, but I wanted to set the record straight on here. I have been visiting elephant since it opened. I had breakfast there on the way to the hospital the day my sister was born, have had many a date in the sunshine on the outside seating and my best friend and I visited every Monday during our GCSEs, and my Alevels. I live in York now, and not a single cafe here has managed to make an oat milk vanilla latte the way elephant does. I look forward to returning home so I can have a taste of decent coffee again.

The staff are disinterested, the service is slow, coffee was lukewarm and spilled in the saucers with no apology. Our toddler wanted some milk to drink and whereas most Wirral cafes do this for nothing, these people charged £1.50 for a tiny drop of milk (could have bought 4 pints at the coop for this). Don’t go there!!

Went here for a nice little coffee. Was served by a youngster called Dylan who dropped it all over the table. What a silly sausage. The cafe itself stunk, the surrounding houses smelled of sewage. The north of puddington smells worse than the south. It's really not worth the pain. Stay well away

If you are going to charge for parking when not buying anything, then you MUST make this obvious when parking the car and also inside the pub. This is NOT the case at this pub. I don't object to parking charges for non customers, you MUST make this clear.

Stumbled on this cafe during a weekend in Chester. Great coffee and cakes very reasonably priced. Couldn't understand why people were passing it by to go to Costa in the Tesco next door.

Lovely coffee and hot chocolate. Staff very friendly and polite. I always prefer the coffee in Starbucks to Costa coffee just a personal preference.

My visit was for a lunch with friends. The pub was their local, not one they frequented but it was convenient. It was a memorable visit for all the right reasons. I was welcomed at the bar with smiles and I explained that one of my party had allergies. The checking of the ingredients was really thorough, the food came and it was hot, fresh and delicious. I appreciated all the effort that went in to ensure we had a great time and felt safe. Totally worthy of recommendation and repeat visits.
