Elena's Patisserie and Coffee Lounge in Nottingham

Myself and Daughter having been coming here for years now and never leave disappointed. Even if your not familiar with Greek/Cypriot cuisine, there is something for everyone and the extremely friendly staff will always help you decide. Outside of the fantastic food and coffee, we like the ambiance and that whenever we walk in, we are welcomed like family.

Called in and enjoyed freshly made warm chicken ciabatta bread sandwiches. Nice enough, but a little pricey. Ample indoor and outdoor seating.

Lovely cup of coffee and very friendly service. Reasonably priced for good quality and better than some big chains I could name.

Lovely little cafe. Food is very tasty, freshly cooked, reasonably priced ... service is quick and friendly. Everything about this place is: 'visit again'. I had the 'full Greek' breakfast, which is on one of the photos here... I should have taken a picture... really excellent.

Elena's is a Nottingham institution, with great Greek food and wonderful service, from Elena herself and her family. If you like Greek food and a warm welcome, get along to it. You won't be disappointed.

Loved this place. Went for a breakfast with my friend and I’ve fallen in love with it. Traditional greek food and the owner was lovely. She was warm and welcoming and thought me all about her food and introduced me to Greek Coffee and the different ways to make it. It’s a must for anyone to try

We have wanted to visit here for a while and we were not disappointed - a wide variety of traditional Greek salads, sandwiches and pastries even towards the end of their opening times. Highly recommended chai latte too, genuinely one of the best I have tried. The staff were great too!

I really enjoy my morning coffee and lunch break here. All the staff is very friendly. Panayioti custome made s sandwiches are delicious. There is a selection of Greek pies eg spinach , cheese pies etc. We are spoilt for choice. Most of all very family and child friendly.

Love this cafe. Faultless. Lovely coffee and beautiful breakfast. Halloumi and the little Greek sausages were delicious!!! We took home some Greek goodies home and had these later - the best baklava I have tasted in the UK! Such friendly service and lovely people. Perfect breakfast stop off. Will definitely be going back when in the city!

Absolutely love this place. We came with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our Greek Cypriot style sandwiches not to mention our desserts . Gorgeous! Thank you to Elena for serving us with love and looking after us! A huge shout out to Andrea who always has a smile and makes everyone feel at home. What a great atmosphere! You really bring the Greek hospitality to Nottingham! We'll definitely be seeing you soon.

Elena’s offers a tiny corner of Greece in the centre of Nottingham. The cuisine is delicious and absolutely authentic. Try counting the number of Greek and Adriatic people eating there if you doubt it. If the quality of the food is not enough (and the patisserie selection is absolutely to die for) then the warmth of the welcome lifts this tiny Coffee Lounge into the realms of the truly great. I always leave Elena’s exceptionally well fed and with a warm feeling inside - they make you feel so good about people. It’s what every cafe should be and so few are. But don’t go telling anyone? Let’s keep it our secret…

The owners are so friendly,amazing people! We had so much fun and the cakes and coffee omg it was all so delicious!! Highly recommended!!

The two desserts I tried were amazingly good. I never tested anything so good, neither in London, where I live, nor in Greece, where I go often for holidays. Mrs Elena made me feel as I was a member of her family. For one hour I believed I was back in my village in Italy. She is a perfect host, a wise woman and an amazing memory of Nottingham which I will pack in my luggage, together with my photos, ready to come back to London with me in few hours. Thank you Elena and family!

Honestly, elena’s patisserie is the only coffee shop I’ve been to where I can unwind relax and read a book everywhere else in town is always so loud and cramped as opposed to elenas patisserie which has a nice outside seating area and indoor seating...
