A lot of the stuff here is amateur but actually quite good. It's still reasonably pricey considering the performers etc aren't paid - I can only assume the overheads aren't cheap. Nice little bar too - decent coffee - and they also let you take your wine into the theatre which is civilised. If you need to park up try the car park by the George Abbot pub - much easier to park and nearer.

This place is lovely by the river. Plenty of idiosyncrasy in ther Theatre and the Cafe Bar. Nice food and drink at reasonable prices in eclectic surroundings

The setting on the edge of the River Wey, good bar, friendly staff and a theatre that seats about 200 for a really intimate atmosphere. Very comfortable feel about the place.

The Electric Theatre cafe is at 'the bottom' of Guidford close to the main shopping centre and the railway station. It is not large, but has a nice atmosphere, and on a nice day there is outside seating on the terrace overlooking the River Wey. It serves failrly straightforward, but well cooked, food and is great from lunch and quieter than most of the restaurants more in the centre. It is excellent for a pre-theatre meal. Obviousy, it is convenient for the Electric Theatre itself, but it is also only a few minutes walk from the Yvonne Arnaud and the Mill Studio - and it is a better eating choice than the cafe in the Yvonne Arnaud. We have eaten there a number of times, and we can particularly recommend the burgers - these are hand-made, of really high quality and cooked just right (very slightly pink). Burgers at £8.95 with chips. Other tems are similarly priced or cheaper and there is a good choice of wine, beer etc.

In a world of pubs, this is *the* pub to come to. Be here. But ideally not when I’m here. I want my seat back

So I’ve visited many many times on Mtb rides and had tea, coffee, cakes, sausage rolls and cheese straws, but this weekend’s cheese straw was *off the charts* good. I’ve always liked them and they’re
