Ordered online and it came over an hour late, kept getting told on the phone that the driver had already left (we were only a 4 minute drive away) and then after the first 10 calls to find out what's going on they wouldn't pick up the phone to us. When the food finally arrived it was cold and to top it all off they also got our order wrong. Wouldn't advise anyone to order from this shop at all, save yourself the disappointment.

Fause advertising!!!!! £19.90 extra large skewer with a cube of Lamb shish (2 CUBES OF MEAT) ,Lamb Kofte (2 LUMPS), chicken Shish (2 SMALL CUBES) ,Chicken Doner and Lamb doner, Served on a bed of rice with separate salad, 2 pitta breads...... NOT WORTH £19.90 POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Would never order from this company again.

can’t even follow their own menu didn’t get what i ordered asked for meat and chips with onions and peppers and lamb doner with all salad got mine ok and a box of meat no salad at all ! and black hair in my food never again

I thorougly enjoyed dining at El Kervan. The service was impeccable and incredibly attentive. The food was lovely and well presented. I am extremely happy with my experience with here this evening. I look forward to dining here again.

Great place , always friendly with us after we finished at the pub on a Friday. Welcoming and nice seated areas and meat quality is consistent. Surprised rating not near the high 4s.

This place has really gone downhill. Food wasn’t hot, some of it wasn’t edible, hairs in the salad. Very poor, change in management? Avoid.

We are so lucky to have El Kervan as our local kebab shop. Top notch! We order from them on regular basis. Great food - fresh meat always cooked to perfection. Good choice of vegetarian and halal options. Great service - everyone working there is always helpful, polite and welcoming. The restaurant itself could do with a little better decoration (bright white light- helps checking out the food! And standard furniture) but most customers order as takeout anyway. And affordable prices too. Delivery is only £1 There’s a reason why El Kervan has more than one restaurant in the area - so that more people can enjoy their tasty food!

Popped in for a quick lunch with my daughter and her baby, such lovely food. The guys that work there are really friendly. Definitely recommend 👌

We orderwd this tonight at 430 and told 30 mins delivery time turned up at 6, stone cold without any dips dogs enjoyed it but we didn't and I am afraid we won't be ordering again what a waste

Terrible food ordered a takeaway. I was delivered 2 pots of rice with hardly any meeting there but overpriyeah if I wanted rice. I would have ordered Chinese or an Indian takeaway. Instead, I got four bits of meat, very small bits of me

The saltiest, inedible, worst chicken shish I have ever eaten. When ordering from deliveroo it comes from a strange kitchen not located in petts wood, the driver took 20 minutes to get here even though El Kervan is round the corner from me. AVOID at all costs.

Note to management when a customer asks for no rice they mean NO RICE as a regular customer I fill offened it's not the first time

Great food. Lovely fresh salad. I never put a comment in. Only once. But it got sorted. I have been around other places in Orpington. The next to come close to them. Is Ya Kebab Orpington high street I don't normally take out. As I can cook all types of food. I've been here for 16 years. Someone told me. Don't go there. Try this one. Never been back to the other place. No words. But ya. Lovely great fresh food. I can't show you a picture. I can . But you will only see a clean plate. Can't please everyone looking at the comments.

Delivery did not arrive. Spoke to the resturant who where rude down the phone and then refused to issue refund for order they failed to deliver.

I have ordered via local delivery service. Amazing flavour, quantity and quality. I am living not so close to the restaurant and when received it, the food was hot and freshly cooked. I would recommend and I will buy again for sure 😀!

Overcooked, salty chicken and chewy lamb that's portioned so small that your hungry after. I haven't ordered from here in a few years and unfortunately I won't be again.

We ordered a couple of kebabs from here for us and some friends. An hour and 10 mins later still hadn't arrived so I called the restaurant was told by a member of staff with an attitude that it was on the grill and disnt I know it was busy . An hour later and after trying to call the shop again 48 times with no answer. the food finally turned up was over cooked the meat was hard . Do NOT RECOMNEND .....

Absolute disgusting's service, tried speaking to them but they completely disappointed me the way they responded, I got poorly from their restaurant because of uncooked food. They charge the highest price to get raw food WOOW GREAT SERVICE!!!.

Eat here quite often when working in the area - everything we’ve had , chicken kebab, chicken burger . Chicken wraps and halloumi are always cooked to perfection and delicious - hope to see you soon

Ordered via Uber Eats on Sunday evening and the order never arrived! Phoned them and they said it would arrive in 10 mins, but it never came and then they wouldn't answer the phone. Avoid and go elsewhere.

I had ordered kofte kebab, chicken shish and chicken wings. I only liked the chicken wings but others were below average. I found the kofte was quite hard and not as soft as you would expect in a kofte kebab. The chicken shish was ok ok. What put me off was the salad was completely off, it was clear the salads were not fresh and were a day or two old, hence they smelled and tasted a little off. The rice with the kebab was very super hard and cold. Overall my experience was not great. I hope it was a one off incident and their food is not like this always.

The quality of food has changed in the past months, not sure if the business has changed hands. Had a meal today it was too salty, Didn’t enjoy it at all.

Ordered 3 kebabs and once we opened them not one had any salad. Rang them up and all they said was there’s nothing we could do not even a sorry pretty much tough luck. Didn’t even offer to give us the salad they missed off the order

They charge the highest price but give u rubber injected chicken , after u eat it you feel sick ,it’s a tumbled chicken that has salt in it as to retain the water , £20 a box from butcher who buys them in , but the £35 box is the better boneless chicken which this shop charges a high price but wants to put the lowest cost boneless chicken in it , where I feel sick after u eaten it , when food is good our belly wants another one next day as it tells us ,if u eat a lot of this bad pumped chicken it’s too much salt and stagnant water inside each boneless breast as to increase their size fatter , this shop should not be selling these , they are just after profit only ,

Just moved to the area thought why not treat myself to a checky kebab what better way to end the night. Atleast I thought until my kebab arrived an it was a complete mess ... the some how made rice look disgusting I will not go in to details of what the chicken looked like but it made the rice look good needless to say the pitta bread was the star of the show

Good was lovely. But for the 4th time on the trot now they keep leaving things off my order. Never been offered a refund for the missing items.

Chicken is nice and not over salted like most other takeaways. However they got my order wrong and they don't accept card payments. Yes, there is a cash machine across the road but I use my phone to pay for stuff. It causes an inconvenience because they don't want to pay for a chip and pin. Either that or its for tax purposes.

I placed an ordered Friday night and the order got cancelled without a phone call to tell me, so I started ringing them and got no answer at all, money got taken out of my account and 6 days later the money still hasn’t been returned so I’ve just phoned up to complain and not even a sorry! Terrible food, awful service! Ordered a delivery on Friday Donner kebab, mixed chicken and lamb and a large portion of chips. Donner kebab - can’t really get that wrong so was ok slight to greasy for my liking. Chicken and lamb mix - I wouldn’t call either a shish as it had no marinade it was just dry bits of chicken plain and lamb whacked in a silver metal container Chips - They forgot them and tried to worm out bringing them and then second they delivered a large portion of chips which was £4 and barely enough for one In all the food was terrible Uber eats didn’t want to know and the restaurant didn’t either I won’t be returning as for £28 you expect edible food.

Food was delivered incomplete, waited half an hour for the rest of our food. When it arrived it was wrong again. We phoned the restaurant once again and the owner was arrogant and refused to give us a refund for what we didn’t receive. The food was not nice and I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. Lesson learnt.

Great blend of meats for your kebab and a great salad selection. Having tried all of the takeaways on the main street, this is the best. I like how clean they keep things and the only real problem I have is that they aren't open early enough for my liking.

Do not order for delivery from hear. There leaflet states that minimum order is £12 & deliver free upto 2.5 miles but when ordering online minimum states £15 but would not except my order of £15.90 and told me can not deliver as over 2.5 miles but did not give me the option to pay the £1 delivery like stated on the leaflet. Rang up & was told to order & pay on line & do for collection & put address in comment box & they will have it out to me. I rang them back up as if come up ready. I was told yes it's hear for collection so they clearly do not read the comments & was told they was waiting for a driver. 1 hour after I placed order & 45 minutes after it being ready I got my food. The meat was greecy, rice was cold, pitta bread was hard & chips was unedible. Rang up & was told they can bring me out a rice & bread or put credit on for next time. But not my money back so I could order somewhere else. They are rude say ya money & order somewhere else. Avoid this place. Wish I read the reviews before I ordered as all the reviews are saying how bad it is. Il be going back to my normal nice one

Ordered at 20 past 7 still hadnt shown up by 9 clock so rung up and cancelled..despite cancelling...driver then showed up with it at half 9 which we sent him away. Felt bit sorry for him some old boy the restaurant is working into the ground not his fault this restaurant is a shambles. This place should just give up

Placed a order at 7.15 to tonight, said 35 mins, tried phoning to chase delivery but no answer! Ended up getting dinner some where else. They finally turned up at 9.45! Said they were busy what a joke, sent him away, never again!!!

Food took ages to arrive. One food item as incorrect and some items were missing. Epic Fail! Not recommended.

I ordered the BBQ chicken kebab in store to takeaway. Took about 20 mins even though I was the only person in store. The kebab was ok at best, but had to piece the thing together myself - everything came in a separate container except the meat and rice. Didn't even know I was getting rice. Salad tasted off so couldn't eat it. Pita was tiny so couldn't fit anything in it. Chips were standard. Glad I tried it so that I know to avoid in future.

I have been going for 2 years now and it is always fresh, tasty and great value for money. I cant fault the guys. I highly recommend the large lamb shish kebab. Rice is fluffy and salad is fresh, the meat speaks for itself. 10 outta 10 everytime.

Eat here all the time and would argue that it's one of the best in the area. Definitely get the lamb shish!! Staff are lovely too and couldn't be more accommodating

Usually use this kebab shop, tonight it turned up with no salad when I specifically wanted a large salad and no sauce, they said they would send it but by the time it would have arrived my food would have been cold, disappointed

Okay food, not the worst kebab in the world, a little greasy. The main reason for the dropped stars is the price is pretty high already without the delivery charge and service charge added on top, and for what you are getting it does not seem worth it. There are far better kebab shops in the area in my personal opinion

This was terrible. I ordered via the website and and was charged £1.00 extra for delivery and £0.5 for service charge (not sure how service charge applied when it's a takeway) this was fine until I had a girl ring me up saying i have to give the driver £2.00 in cash? The reason i ordered online was because I didnt have cash to which she replied rudely well make sure you remember next time???? I told her I paid the delivery charge online to which she said I didnt... i told her i have a receipt that shows i have paid both a service charge and a delivery charge she then passed the phone on to somebody else rudely because she did not want to listen to me. Food arrived an hour later and was so bad I all I ate was the chips and gave the food to my dog. This used to be an amazing place now it's just rude people and horrible food trying to con people.

Used to use them all the the time but then Waited over a hour and 45 mins for a simple £13 meal to turn up freezing cold when I live 5 mins down from the shop . Was given the option to ever send me out another meal that night or be given the same amount of my next order. When I rang up the next time to place the same order 2 weeks later they compleatly denied knowing of it and offered me 20% of which was knowhere good enough

I’ve already waites for nearly 2 hours for a delivery, and I’m STILL waiting. When I called the restaurant the manager was extremely rude, told me he was very busy and that I was taking up his time. He then slammed the phone down and terminated my call. Made the mistake of pre-paying for my order. Do NOT order from this restaurant, there are so many other reputable alternative Turkish restaurants to choose from. I will NEVER order from them again.

Its really great food, probably the best Shish Kebab I have ever had. They have a great range of Chicken wings including Jerk chicken which is amazing even the doner kebab is really good

Whilst the food is definitely 4 stars - great kebabs - it loses a star for the ridiculously long time it takes to deliver. How can it take 1 hour 40 mins to cook and deliver 2 kebabs? Advice is to select to pay in Cash rather than pay by card in advance, that way when your order is confirmed and the delivery time states 60-90 minutes, you can call up and cancel - unless you’re happy to wait that long.

We have been coming here with my family for the last 4 years for lovely food and great service. This place is highly recommend. Don’t forget to try doner kebab which is very recommended

I can’t believe how many bad reviews El Kervan has had, I’ve had a take away from here almost once a week since they opened and it’s always been spot on.. the selection is great and everything so fresh and tasty.. I highly recommend

Just had lamb shish, it was inedible, I wouldn't feed this to my dog. Also noticed over the last couple of years this takeaway has been awarded 1 star out of a possible 5 for its food and hygiene by Bromley borough council. AVOID

Ordered delivery...shish and doner..:: the Shish lamb was disgusting.... couldn’t eat it as so chewy full of fat.... cheap meat maybe mutton so they could make a profit .. tried to eat it with a knife and fork and still couldn’t cut through all the fat. Won’t be ordering from this place ever again. Had chicken wraps last week and they were disgusting... was I’ll for a few days after. Thought I’d try again with the lamb tonight but unfortunately that was as wring decision.:: just waiting for my upset stomach. Wish I’d never given it a second attempt. Would recommend you don’t go near this establishment with a barge pole.... disgusting.

Food here is great however, I have a question for the manager... Why have the rice pudding on your menu when you don't have any, even on a Wednesday evening!? I wouldn't normally moan about something so trivial however this is about the 6th or 7th time this has happened.

Fantastic Kebab Shop, very clean and friendly staff. Grilled lamb shish chicken Shoah are the best. They have 4 different flavoured chicken. Must try and do deliveries too. Highly recommended.

Absolutely disgusting service, the manager clearly has no customer service experience. I am truly appalled with the way he spoke to me. I have ordered from here weekly since they opened and have never had a bad word to say until today. I will not be ordering from here ever again. It’s gone down hill over the past few months with them always forgetting things in my order, they never refund the money!! P.s try paying your delivery drivers a decent wage.

This place has received some bad press recently but in the 3 years I have eaten here I can not fault it, Although its a Kebab house they do a lovely portion of chicken wings also, the jerk and pir-piri have always been my starter. Large portions, you do pay an extra £1.00 if they deliver outside of the area but always had a hot , tasty food and no complaints from me..... I

Have to say this is the best kebab shop in the area - amazingly fresh food - always generous helpings - good quality and well worth the money - barbecue chicken kebab and chicken burgers are amazing - well worth the visit - have been using for 1 year now - never had a bad visit

Felt compelled to write a review after reading some negative reviews on here. We order quite frequently and always thoroughly enjoy our food, the Cajun chicken is delicious! Plus, for a takeaway we never feel guilty as kebab, rice and salad is lovely and healthy! Keep up the good work!

This was our first visit to El Kervan after many recommendations from friends.

We have used this takeaway restaurant for many years and have always supported them through their bad times and spent a lot of money with them. After so many late orders (taking nearly 2 hours for delivery) incorrect orders and the food cold and disgusting we have decided we won’t be using them anymore.
