The Bo Peep in Bromley

Lovely welcoming 'country' pub for an early evening drink. The food looked good and will definitely be on the agenda for our next visit.

We held my Dad's wake at the Bo Peep and whilst a sad occasion, the venue couldn't have been better. The staff were so helpful, food was great and the whole atmosphere hit the spot. Thank you for making a tough day easier.

Disgustingly rude and unfriendly ‘service’ it was actually awkward to experience. Kitchen shuts at 8.30. Really disappointing and I’m ashamed to say that this is one of my nicer local pubs in the area. I would rather have a drink in a Wetherspoons bar then experience the coldness I was subjected to. Avoid if you non - white and under 50.

We had a super family meal here. I would especially recommend their sole fillets with spinach and baby potatoes, beautifully cooked and dripping with butter, generous with the sole. The service was friendly, the wine was nice and the beer was good. Finally, this isn’t in Bromley - it’s in Chelsfield Village, with lovely views of fields all around. It dates from around 1580, so expect low ceilings, beams and an original inglenook fireplace. It’s super cosy.

Had a cheese board/ploughman's not sure what it was called but it was lovely and a very good portion, very pleasant little pub

Our party of 3 really enjoyed our visit. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious- especially the duck with mash and a jus that was a special that day.

Found this lovely pub restaurant. Really pleased with it plus they were happy for me to park my camper van overnight in exchange for one of their lovely meals. Staff were super friendly

We’d been here many years ago so whilst looking for somewhere just off the M25, the Bo Peep was suggested. Met by 2 super friendly and helpful ladies who found us a table in the corner which was needed as the 4 of us had much to discuss. Specials board was tempting but we chose Steak & Ale Pudding, Sausage & Mash in Yorkshire Pudding and Ham, Egg & Chips. Plates returned completely empty. Deserts were just as good and we ended up spending about 4 hours here. Fabulous food, great place. We won’t wait as long to return

What a special day we had at the Bo Peep. We were celebrating our Ruby Wedding Anniversary on 10th March. Kate and Robbie (Manager) and their excellent staff in the Kitchen and Front of House really made it a day to remember. Congratulations on providing not just fabulous food and the usual friendly service but a truly amazing experience. My wife and I would definitely recommend the Bo Peep for any occasion.

This is one of the best pubs around, would 100% recommend. The staff are extremely welcoming and the drinks and food are great !

I came here for lunch with my Grandad, the food was so fresh and tasty. The staff are amazingly friendly! Definitely worth a visit. Building is a blinder too

I can’t convey how disappointed I am. I’ve wanted to try this place for some time & really expected good things. It was a let down on every level! Baked Brie was baked flat & sizzling! Fish cakes couldn’t rival Iceland's own! Haddock special took me back to the 80’s boil in a bag! Trifle - hideous- one of the worst concoctions I have ever had the displeasure to taste! Sponge & custard was ok - school dinners classic at best. Nearly £10 service charge added to the bill (handwritten)… Spend your time & money elsewhere, the Bo peep doesn’t deserve it.. my advice to them is, go & see how others are doing it better.

An old pub with a cute, inorthentic name. Pub Grub at Gourmet prices. Service OK, only just OK. The beaf is Milk Cow & stringy, full of tendons or grissol, which means it's an old milk beast, not a corn fed meat. Their prices call for better meat. On the coldest day of the year, they made no attempt to adjust the auto-door closer, which meant extreme drafts every time someond came in or out; indicative of lack of professionalism, as if amateurs "flushed with hubris," had taken over. Arrogance greater than their competency. Small improvements in best practice & it could be a Gourmet Pub.

This pub/ restaurant is good for families couples or just with friends lovely food nice frenley staff .definitely recommend

We’d drive out to new places for Sunday roasts and we were very satisfied with this place. As we entered this cozy and warm vibes pub we were warmly greeted and given a table even though it was full and we had no booking. As a chef I would say that the food was exceptional. Loved the jus, meat cooked right and potatoes just perfect so was presentation (simple but cute). Just hits the spot! 👌🏽 Tap beers were crisp and delicious! They tended to our table constantly but weren’t in your face like some places. Would highly recommend this place. 🩵🙌🏽

If you've never been to this little "Gem" of a pub, you must pay it a visit. Having just spent a couple of hours walking at 'High Elms" Country Park, we decided to visit "The Peep" for a quick lager. I have been visiting here for over 50 years now & it still retains it's unmistakable charm.

I’ve eaten here about 6 times in recent years and the food and service is second to none. The staff are so accommodating- nothing is too much trouble right down to putting more crumble on the apple and cinnamon crumble! Simply put, this is my go-to place when friends and family visit because I know the food and service is top notch!

Very disappointed with our meal. We had sausage and mash, more mash than sausage. Also had ham egg and chips, the chips and eggs were both over done!! It wasn’t a cheep meal either!!!

On a visit to see dear friends lunch had been booked here by them. A gem of a pub, serving traditional fayre. Now I don’t want to set the kitchen into a future tizzy, but not being able to decide, the waitress offered to see if I could have a half portion of each of my preferences. It was no trouble for her, nor her request be honoured. Our hearty meals were much enjoyed, thanks guys for your hospitality.

They had a Game suet pudding on last night - venison, pheasant and Rabbit. It was lovely!

Had our Xmas Dinner today using the set dinner selection between 14 of us Wonderful service and never rushed throughout. I had the full traditional Xmas fair which was v tasty and generous. If your yet to book for a Xmas do you may get in . More importantly you won’t be disappointed. Well done to all the staff 👏👍

Very nice food indeed. A little cramped but comfy chairs

It’s a real shame, however our experience at the Bo Peep was really poor. The staff were friendly enough but not apologetic or courteous to bring us a free drink/ snack even after waiting for over an hour for our lunch. After the food came, i was shocked to find my ploughman’s baguette as advertised with Brie and a fresh baguette was cold and stale and nothing was in the baguette just placed outside - just all laid out on a plate like it was poured out of a tin / jar. Massive pickled onions , no Brie , slabs of cheese. I complained to say is this really the state / preparation of the food after an hour? I was told it just comes like that! It was a shame as I had heard good things.

Food was excellent but the service we received was awful. The waitress scoffed because one of my party had an allergy & after that treated us with contempt. Very disappointed because my Grandfather used to enjoy coming to the pub

Sunday roast was slightly lacking, chewy thin slices beef that needed a steak knife to cut. Staff were faultless really attentive, lovely village pub...quaint and countryfied.

Not sure why Anne only gave it 4 stars, she clearly has untenable standards. This is a 5 star pub with 5 star food. The pies were appreciated and the chips were top top notch.

Just returned from Bopeep after stumbling on it after a day out at Polihill Garden Centre. They were extremely welcoming and accommodating considering we were a party of 8 young children and 4 adults. It has such a lovely atmosphere and the staff were so warm. They even gave the children a free ice-cream for being well behaved. The food was really good too. Would recommend the Steak and Ale Suet Pie with creamy mash. Excellent! Would definitely recommend this place if you’re passing in the area.

cute cosy pub we found today after our day out at Polihill Garden Centre, following our trip to see Santa. As soon as we walked in we felt so welcome, they was so accommodating with our food orders and happy to make changes. Food came quick, children’s food came first, love they sorted the kids food before the adults. (Helps us so much) we were a large group of 8 young children & 5 adults. Such a lovely place food was great, highly recommend the Steak and Ale Suet Pie with creamy mash ! It was so good!! The kids enjoyed the day and was even given a free ice-cream was a nice surprise and the kids was so excited. Worth a visit if your in the area - also has plenty of parking in the car park

Great old style pub. Great beers and great food

Low ceilings and plenty of wood frame characterise this pub. Customers were sparse midweek but our party of four was well served with some good food. Large pork chops came with black pudding, veg and excellent gravy. Chicken pie appreciated. Grilled camambert with cranberry sauce started the evening well. An NZ sauv blanc was up to standard. Staff friendly and ready to chat.

Was recommended by Sarah from the Crown pub in Shoreham because her chef had finished. Well, it didn't disappoint. Staff brilliant & food was lovely. Worth a visit if you're driving passed on the way to Castle Hill Farm? Easy parking, too!!!

The Bo Peep is definitely worthy of nothing less than five stars. We visited for lunch and left with beams on our faces ( partially because of the low ceilings.) Everything about the place was perfect, the homey interior, to the picturesque setting, during our visit the fire had been lit creating a wonderful atmosphere. The menu was small but done well done. I chose the the fried halloumi and it did not disappoint in any way, the halloumi was so delicately fried and the salad and garnish was so well done just recalling it makes my mouth water. Our waitress was a lovely, friendly woman who made us feel so welcome and comfortable. main was the beer battered cod which was immaculate and could not be improved. I regard myself a bit of a chip connoisseur and I can honestly say that the chips here are top notch. All in all I would definitely recommend the Bo Peep to anyone anyone, a meal worth every penny.

Brilliant Country pub, very pretty and quaint surroundings, extremely friendly and helpful staff, service was great, food was deliciously in its taste. Starter's had: Goats cheese and salad Brie and cranberry Mains: Swordfish and salad Skate with Vegetables Dessert: Apple and Strawberry crumble with fresh cream and custard (Husband and I chose to share this dish. I x Large White Wine, 2 x Ale's, 1 x Coffee Bill was £95 Well worth visiting and would be surprised if you were disappointed! Awesome lunch at Bo Peep after many news. Food was superb. Sat outside with my doggo and he got a special bag of doggie treats. Amazing service. Brie and beetroot pie is a MUST. We loved it

Visited on a Wednesday evening, quite a limited menu, that's why 3 stars, but the food was extremely good. Landlady and bar staff very nice and friendly, would recommend avisit

What a lovely place, came up on search for sites as we are in a camper and needed a pit stop. Great find, friendly and welcoming from the off, the food though was something else, amazing, I had lamb chops with roasties...wow scrumptious and my better half had the fish absolutely gorgeous 5 stars👏👏👏👏👏

We had a lovely meal here last night. The fish and chips were lovely. I thought the fish was perfectly cooked .The service was great and the staff were so friendly. and welcoming. We will most definitely be back.

The food was great. But the portions were small and poor value for money. We were not made to feel welcome at all. Service was slow and we were made to feel like we were imposing. The garden is basically open to a large car park and very basic.

We booked for a family get together. Eight of us. And a dog! We were welcomed by staff and made to feel really welcome. Staff were lovely. Very attentive. The roasts were amazing. Great atmosphere, fantastic service and somewhere we would definitely go again. Thank you for a lovely day.

Arrived on our bicycles and we were greeted as soon as we found a table on the patio. Drinks were delivered very quickly and food arrived hot and delicious. Friendly service and worth a visit.

It's was a great Sunday lunch Part Birthday and part Farthers Day.

We thought we'd try a nice country pub for Sunday lunch and came across this place on route. At first glance, it looked great, but that was until we tried the food. It took ages for the food to arrive and when asked why we were told the saled had run out and they were awaiting a fresh delivery 😑 not sure why we wasn't told this, we would have changed our choice knowing we would have to wait. However, when we did eventually get our order, it was expensive and not worth the wait, unfortunately. It could have been so much better. it's a shame.

Senior bar staff not very friendly serve with a bitter face. She was not bothered to complete my order. Facilities very clean the younger bar staff very friendly.

god knows what the review is about by "i witfit" maybe you looked dodgy thats why they asked you to pay when ordering. lol BEEN YEARS SINCE WE FOUND A PUB LIKE THIS we was in the garden and before we even sat down we was greeted by the owner and she asked if she could help .we sat and asked whst we wanted to drink and then returned as quick as with our drinks .from that moment on yhe service was just enough, not to much and not to little, "perfect" the staff are a credit to the owner . we ordered food and again absolutely great and good size .happy to say mostly seemed made on site or local .nothing unnecessarily from frozen. our bill did not have 10% added but i was so happy i added 20% to my bill

BEEN YEARS DINCE I FOUND A PUB DO GOOD we found it by getting lost .so glad we did .faultless service and friendly staff .fantastic food ,and we eat out a lot .

Demanding a service charge (Tip) is becoming a new method seemingly to raise profits, having been requested a few times recently for such when ordering food and expecting to pay before the food has been delivered..it seems almost a blackmail to ensure good service..the whole point of a tip is to thank the supplier for the service etc..not as seems now to bolster profits..if you have cash flow problems try putting the prices up. In this instance we were asked after we ate when the card machine was offered by the manageress.. the sandwiches were sandwiches nothing more spectacular and the service was slow. Nil points = derisory tip for the affront

Made to feel very welcome at the very outset. Booked ahead for overnight parking in motor home. Food was outstanding, Proper pie, Chicken and asparagus, with seasonal locally sourced vegetables. Cannot recommend enough. Did I mention reasonable prices. Will definitely be back, thanks for looking after us.👌

Lovely old pub. Visited here as it was the venue for my uncles wake. The staff were helpful, kind and thoughtful. The ale is fantastic 👌

Absolutely wonderful lunch today. I had asparagus, pancetta salad to start followed by roast pork dinner and every single mouthful was delicious. The roast potatoes were fabulous. My daughter had pate followed by sausage and mash and again everything was excellent. Definitely would recommend. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

Delicious food...would maybe have liked a few vegetables with my sausages and mash in Yorkshire pud....but it was delicious! Service very friendly and efficient. A lovely happy atmosphere. We will be back!

The building is good, but the food is less than basic. Had a burger that was the worst 😫 ever. Frozen beef putty, Served with 1 slice of bacon and of the shelf slice of cheddar; 2 leaves of lettuce and 1/8 of a sainsbury's tomatoe, chunky tasteless chips... shame as location and ambient is nice.

Everything about the Boo Peep is great. Really can't find any fault with it!

Been coming here for over 4y now with the family, we never book but are always accomodated for lovely consistently good pub lunches with excellent atmostphere and lovely waiting staff. Good beer too 🍻

Eating out is a real treat and sadly The Bo-Peep couldn’t offer what was promised. I am vegetarian, well actually vegan, and was told they had a vegetarian option for a roast dinner. I was so disappointed that when we arrived we were crammed in and there was no vegetarian roast option. I was so looking forward to a roast dinner today and it wasn’t to be. Needless to say we won’t be returning which is such a shame as years ago this used to be a real place of choice for us where we would have had a lovely meal. Sad to say no more.

We were visiting the area, watching our sons playing rugby in neighbouring Sevenoaks. We booked an over night stay in our camper and all that was asked was we had some food. After a great day out we went and checked in and had a chat with the team there ( who were all so friendly) about how easy was it for our sons to get from the local train station to the pub? They gave us the local taxi firms number to book a taxi and we decided to settle in, have a few drinks whilst we waited for them to call and let us know what train they would be on. We called the taxi firm who refused to pick up anyone with no cash, advised us there was no cash point at the station. I explained we would wait outside with the cash but nope, not good enough. They said they might run without paying..both are actually men in their late 20s. I had no idea where they thought they might run to as the pub is kind of nowhere you could run to. Anyways, the amazing Landlady, was as dumbfounded as we were, felt bad as they had recommended the firm and knew we couldn't drive as we had both had a couple of drinks and that we didn't get to see our boys often as we live in Cornwall. Long and the short of it was she herself went and collected them and helped make our night amazing. Talk about going above and beyond. They kept the kitchen open so we could eat and the food was sooooooo good. I can't say enough about how amazing the team were, obviously she leads by example and the food was amazing value. Great portions, really tasty and we ended up having a lovely evening Thank you to everyone for being so kind to us.

very lovely country style pub cottage, low ceilings. Very comfy inside very friendly staff overall good family experience. The food is of a good quality presented very well good menu, selection and alcoholic beverages as well as soft drinks. They also do hot drinks they do a fairly nice hot chocolate, Has a nice outdoor area. A decent size car park small play area for children with a small Wendy house. With this pub being in a cottage, you do get the very Kent countryside feel to it

Visited this pub on a Monday lunchtime with a friend. The service was great and I thought the menu had a good selection of food. My friend and I ordered fish and chips and thought it was the best we had ever had- the fish was super fresh, the batter light and the chips were chunky and crisp. I will definitely be back!

Probably the best pub stopover (in our van) I've ever had. The food was incredible, the facilities immaculate and the lady owner is the best ever. Our sons were stuck and she helped us out big-time. Thank you so much! We'll definitely be back!

So cold in the restaurant it was uncomfortable. There was an open log fire but it wasn't up to the job of making my visit pleasant

I can highly recommend the Bo Peep. Kate and the team hosted a funeral wake for my family this week. Professional and attentive service from my first enquiry phone call all the way through to the end of the reception/wake. Buffet food was nicely presented and tasty. The team were very flexible and accommodating and made what was a difficult day so much easier.

Visited this pub today for my dads pre-booked 90th birthday celebration at 2.00pm. We ordered our food and finally got our third selection as all other choices were sold out. Didn’t expect that at 2pm! Desserts were the same, mostly sold out! Staff were rude. Paid a deposit which they forgot to refund. A totally unenjoyable and disappointing visit for such a special occasion. Will not be visiting again. Totally not recommended

We come to visit this loverly little pub to socialise and have a lunch meal. The steak and ale suet pudding was excellent as was the fish and chips.

We've been using this pub for 20years on and off, we have a son now 14 he loves it, food is exceptional, perfect menu, perfect portions, staff always friendly and polite, landlady is wonderful. Plenty of seating especially outside in the summer. Such a lovely country, elegant, pub / restaurant. Oh and prices are very very reasonable. Good luck finding better. The Thompson's. Badgers Mount.

Had not had suet steak & kidney pudding for many a year. Absolutely enjoyed it.

The food was delicious and atmosphere was cosy. We had four mains + 3 desserts, which came up to £108+ £10 optional service charge to give you an idea.

1 lady was really good and her service was warming. I felt the younger staff felt like they didn't want to be there and it showed. Needs to be more child friendly.

Had a funeral wake here on Monday. There were 30+ of us. The buffet food was excellent and cooked on site which is rare and there was plenty of it. They just kept bringing out more and more. The staff were totally amazing and couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you as It turned a sad day into a really nice send off for her! 10/10 and will be using this pub more often.
