Marmaris Restaurant in Bromley

Saturday evening 7:30pm restaurant was packed and very noisy, so made it difficult to converse with other people on your table. Food is good but most dishes are served with just boiled rice and is just meat with no sauce, so quite dry. Quite glad I had Lamb Kleftico which was a stew with meat was very good but again apart from boiled rice very limited on vegetables with no options for vegetable sides on the menu I could see. Service was good as it could be considering how busy it was but at £53 a head including drinks probably wouldn't be my first choice.

Great food and environment with friendly service. Enjoyed our meal and reasonably priced with good choices. Visited again March 2024 and food still great but unfortunately the service was very slow. We were a small table and there were a number of large tables that clearly took precedence. We waited a while before our order was taken, once taken service was pretty prompt but we were then left for a considerable period of time before anyone came to the table and therefore decided to ask for the bill and leave without ordering dessert or coffee.

I'm pleasantly surprised. I just popped in with family, food was good, ordered Cold mez, and mixed grill (too much chicken and only one piece of kob kebab) for 4 people, and it came to around £105. So i tipped 10% , only then realised they applied a 10% service charge. So, I ended up paying £126. Legally, i could have refused to pay service charge, but i just didn't want to spoil the moment I had with family, so I let it go.

My god! What a restaurant.. came here Sunday just passed for my grandmas 80th with family! Beautiful food. It was authentic, FRESH & definitely well recommended. Lovely staff. Happy environment. Food was so nice! I’m coming back ♥️

A very pleasant restaurant with good service, Marmaris is well worth a visit. The food is well above average. Extra points for serving a very nice cold Tuborg.

It is with regret that I must give 3 stars for this dining experience. We visited yesterday with a larger group and because it was Mother’s Day, the restaurant was essentially full. This impacted our service and dining experience somewhat, as we were quite close to the kitchen, there was constant running around, bells ringing etc which just made the experience somewhat stressful and not relaxed. The food did not take long to come out, however, so that is a positive for definite. The food was what I would say ‘fine’ for the price, as most things on the menu were around 17-20£. Overall, I’d like this visit this establishment again when they are slightly quieter, as I suspect the busyness is what contributed to some of the downsides. Picture below is of complimentary bread with spread, which was a lovely touch.

Another fabulous meal this evening. I took a friend here for the first time and she loved all our starters and her main Lamb Guvec. My monkfish as per usual was absolutely wonderful. We were met with a big warm welcome and looked after superbly. Marmaris is a GEM

Actually, this place is close to my home, but for some interesting reason, I just had the opportunity to try it. It happened when my friends from Greece came to London to visit. I was looking for dishes that they would like because I wanted to take them to a special place other than classic English dishes and this place was a very suitable choice. My friends liked it very much, they even liked that it was named Marmaris. Frankly, I liked it very much too. The food is hearty and delicious, and the atmosphere appeals to people from all walks of life. (families, friends, couples) but a secret from me to you; Don't leave without trying Turkish baklava.

An amazing Turkish restaurant! We have been choosing it for years with my family, friends and business lunches and we have had no complaints so far. The waiters are always very polite, friendly and do their best to make you leave with satisfaction. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is very pleasant, the portions are larger than its counterparts and the price is affordable. The owner always finds an opportunity to chat when we visit, even at busy times. I recommend those who haven't tried it to give it a chance. My only criticism is that there are slight delays in food during busy times, but this is not a problem at all.

Fabulous menu serving Succulent meats, fish and vegetarian dishes that are packed with Turkish Flavours. Turkish Chefs make a world of difference as they are professionals in their own cuisine. An independent family business putting their heart and soul into delivering beautiful food and making everyone feel special and welcomed. I can’t choose a favourite dish as each time I try something new I just add it to my list of favourites🤣🫶 My biggest tip if you are thinking to try Marmaris is….100% do 👍

Lovely family owned restaurant that serves delicious and authentic food, staff is friendly and welcoming. I have been here a few times and went there last night again, we had several starters to share, mains and desserts and every single dish was cooked to perfection! Definitely recommend it 👍

Amazing wide range foods lots of choices cold Mezes are nice with bread can’t forget a baklava at the end.

Was great 👍, if you're a Turk in London and looking to have a Turkish dinner with friends or family you can definitely go here. Had the mixed kebab, meat was delicious and delivered warm. The side Meze was also delicious. The owner himself came out to greet us and was very attentive throughout the whole night.

A bustling Turkish restaurant serving a range of authentic dishes. Good sized portions. Music a bit loud. Really enjoyed the kleftiko.

Moussaka was terrible,I was expecting lamb meat,aubergine,unfortunately nothing like that,seemed as I am eating shepherds pie made from beef.I was very disappointed.

If you are gluten free, DO NOT GO HERE, went tonight with friends I asked the waitress countless times is this gluten free etc.. waitress said yes... not sure she even know what i was talking about but I'm currently very ill from eating there this evening, please if you are gluten free do not eat here as the menu stated that some stuff was gluten free then wasnt .. and dont think they understand the importance of this issue.

Food was very oily, placed on the plates like they were in a rush and couldn't be bothered. We had ice cream for dessert...i think the portion was so small they must have had teaspoons to serve. staff didn't really understand much, asked for hand wipes, didn't know what that was.. not their fault, any basic training probably not given. Unfortunately wouldn't go again. Sorry, needs to improve all round.

Highly recommend. It was a superb meal and night out.

Lovely flavours and reasonable choice, service was friendly but forgot to bring the drinks until prompted (a quarter of an hour later, after the food had been ordered). Portion sizes didn't look big but they were high quality and were filling. Nice ambience and generally pleasant experience, with free parking nearby, but slightly expensive for what it was, so it's likely to be a while before I return, which is a shame.

Wonderful meze spread for Father’s Day lunch. Friendly staff, extremely tasty food and a nice atmosphere. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because I had to ask for cutlery for the table and we also didn’t have serviette’s as the table wasn’t set fully when we were shown to our table. When I did ask for serviettes we were given the small bar paper napkins rather than cloth the full size cloth ones.

I have to say that experience was quite poor, there was 14 of us booked for Birthday dinner, table booked for 20:30. We had to wait for an hour before order had being taken. We were starving, it was so late. After 45 mins of wait I had to ask waitress if it was possible to at least get the bread baskets, so we had something. Very poor service and unextiting food. Cant recommend

Lovely food and good service. Parking outside can be a little tricky, double yellow lines on one side and single on the other, but nothing a short walk wouldn't resolve. Worth a visit. 18th April '23 Revisited, still the same great food 👍 try it.

Ok. Food is one dimenially nice but nothing spectacular.

Food- And service amazing- And good value for money. I visited the restaurant on a Friday evening; It was packed out- n pretty noisy. My only complaint about this establishment is 5hat there's quite an awkward step up from the pavement to get in- Which as a wheelchair user would stop me being able to get in if alone- Or with someone unable to manhandle me up it. The staff however are very friendly- And willing to help- If needed. The belly dancer was AMAZING!

Very nice restaurant, clearly many regulars and a good menu.

We came to Marmaris for a last minute early meal on Saturday with another couple and our 2 year old daughter. The atmosphere was buzzing with lovely families, elderly couples and tables all had candles lit which was so lovely. The food was incredible - we didn't have a bad word to say about it. Staff were friendly and the price was great. Really exceeded all expectations and we will be back for sure.

We had a lovely meal for 6 people this evening. Tasty and plenty of it. Thanks very much.

Early evening meal just after opened with family and including 4 year old grand daughter. Food was really good and service was excellent. Highly recommend as always good whenever we visit.

It’s my boys and my favourite Turkish restaurant. We don’t even look at the menu anymore chicken shish for my little one lamb shish for my older mix kebab for my husband and sea bass for me. The best sea bass dish you can ever eat is at Marmaris. I have tried so many different restaurants and none of them as good as the one I have here. And such a great friendly staff too. Thank you so much for being one of the best and being local so that we can enjoy your delicious food.

Good quality of food but extremely overpriced for PETIT portions of food. The restaurant had 2 tables only but we waited 40 minutes for mains.

We go regularly to the Marmaris. Lovely friendly staff always happy to oblige and help in any way. Excellent choice of good wine, even Turkish wine. Very reasonably priced and always reminds us of our fabulous holidays in Turkish/Cyprus.

Really nice ambience. We went on a Friday so there was a belly dancer. Music was a little loud when she was on so made it a little difficult to chat. Food was good and great price

2 starters 2 main courses bottle of white wine £70. You can't complain about that 😅 I have been eating in this restaurant for years watching grow and extend. So we were very disappointed to see the quality of food go downhill, I'd rather pay an extra £30 for better quality food. Restaurants was not as busy on a Saturday night as it used to be. I hope in the future the restaurant charges more money better quality food and get back on track.

Great meal last weekend didn't book but found us a good table food reasonably priced and good portions will be going back.

Food always good as is value for money, only gripe would be its always cold in there for some reason.but still well worth a visit.

Oh dear! Not impressed! Food was awful it all tasted the same. I suspect the one marinade is used for all meats and not much of an effort is put in to season the meats properly. The staff mainly the women were nice and smiled and were pleasant. The one male waiter who served us was miserable and not personable. Expensive and tasteless and would not recommend this restaurant.

Had a lovely lunch with my wife, we had a starter and main with a glass of wine. Sorry no photos of the meal. Starter we had hummus and halloumi, main my wife had vegetarian Kebab and I had the Chicken beyi. Both starter and main were just right not to big and not to small. We sat at just past 12:00 pm and only customers there for at least and hour. Service very good can not complain.

Sadly empty on a Saturday afternoon. It shouldn't be though, the food was fantastic. My daughter and I shared the mixed grill which was delicious and perfectly cooked. Dad had the meat moussaka which he declared a triumph while my Mum enjoyed the goats cheese. Special note on the kids meals, middle daughter actually ate hers. There is no higher praise.

Was very busy when I visited with some friends, it was hard to hear the waitresses, it would have helped if the waitresses tried to come to the people who sat right at the end of the table rather than trying to converse from tip of the other end of the table. Food tasted better than it looked.

Great family venue with a great family menu. Whole family enjoyed their food and we all had something different. As usual desserts were the usual excellent Turkish fare.

Went here as part of a party of 12 for a Birthday celebration. Sat down at 7 and asked the host at 8:30 if they thought he waiter had forgotten we had ordered starters. Another member of the party had to request food was served to the two children in the part at 21:00. When the main courses finally started to arrive after 3 hours there were yet more problems... two incorrect main courses were brought to the table, when the waiter was told they were incorrect only for them to be brought back to the table by a different member of the waiting staff who tried to get somebody... anybody... to accept them. She was told nobody had ordered those dishes as well. The main courses continued to trickle out to the table and with the last arriving at 22:35 or 3 hours and 35 minutes after we sat down... and yes it was mine and it was for the second time WRONG! OK as a big party you may expect to wait a little longer but to see people come, in be seated, fed and leave while you are still waiting is frankly laughable! Almost as laughable as waiting three hours for the wrong dishes to be brought out in dribs and drabs! My advice... avoid
