Ole Kyiv in Bromley

Appalling customer service. Ordered bolognese pizza was given bolognese pasta. Apparently it’s “Justeat’s Fault”. Unhappily for the person on the phone I overheard the conversation between her and the chef and apparently this confusion with certain items on the menu at just eat is a known issue. Clearly they have neither sorted this so far nor did they care enough to rectify the issue.

Excellent children’s cookery class - Valentine’s red velvet heart shaped cakes. We thoroughly enjoyed the class. Will be back to try the menu ourselves soon as the breakfast smelt delicious.

A piece of Ukraine in the middle of a big city! I can happily say that this is the most atmospheric and warmest place in all of London! Unreal tasty food. Always fresh and hot! Friendly and courteous staff! My British guests loved this place! I sincerely recommend to all friends to visit!

Really love this place having dined here several times now. I'm always impressed with the service which is faultless, food is served by staff wearing white gloves. Don't be put off by the menu being a folded A3 sheet of paper, this is because items change on the menu from time to time, which I liked very much. The menu has a lot of different traditional starters you can try and then the main course has some more familiar dishes. Also don't forget to try their honey cake for desert, it's delicious.

We had a wonderful lunch in Chislehurst on Saturday afternoon at Ole Kyiv, the Kiev chicken and bograch were delicious and perfectly presented. We finished with a heavenly honey cake. Special thanks to the excellent chef and Katarina for her hospitality. Congratulations on your anniversary.

Brilliant place, spent new year celebration there. Wide selection of very tasty Ukrainian food, and I mean it's really quality food. Very friendly staff. Thanks and Slava Ukraini

We had a decent meal here. Food was tasty. It was my first time trying Ukrainian food but the waitress was helpful with guidance and advice. The honey cake in particular was very good. The restaurant was initially a bit chaotic with a children's birthday party but they soon finished, so it was fine. We would like to go back again to try more dishes. Parking is available on the high street or in the nearby car park (RingGo).

Ole Kyiv is such a disappointment. How can you have a Ukrainian restaurant that sells pizza & spaghetti. The presentation of dishes is not of a very high level. The taste of the dishes were bland. The meats were overcooked & dry. The waiters were chatting between themselves about everything but not being attentive to their customers & complaining about how little money they were earning. The Ukrainian restaurant in Chelsea is much better.

Absolutely gorgeous! The food was out of this world, the staff was so friendly and accommodating, I cannot recommend it enough! Beautiful restaurant. My only regret is that we didn't visit sooner.

Lovely, lively and totally authentically Ukrainian - not surprising as it is staffed by people who have come over to the UK as a result of the war. Do go along both to support them but also to have a great evening with unusual food, wonderful cocktails and even some dancing if you're lucky!

We dined on the evening of Saturday 21st October. I'd booked this for a birthday meal on the recommendation of a family member. However I would not return. The food was perfectly fine, however the truffle pasta was left mostly uneaten because of how bland it was. It tasted of pasta, not truffle or mushroom as you might have expected. The service was incredibly slow, at times we feared we had been forgotten. And it wasn't just the long time between courses, but when they started to bring the courses (only 6 diners) they seemed to only have one poor guy bring food from the kitchen so the dishes came piecemeal and you couldn't eat as a group. The length of time it took to be served wouldn't have been as noticable, except the music they had playing was so overwhelming it was impossible to hear unless you were shouting across a table. Which because every table was having to do so, raised the overall noise level even higher. In summary, we will not be returning

Really different, interesting and authentic food, fantastic atmosphere, live music and good service. Overall, a brilliant place and a fab find.

AMAZING!! Had dinner at OK last night, didn’t know what to expect. We were all totally blown away by the whole evening. Food was excellent, service was first class (a relaxed pace rather than conveyor belt/here’s the bill), the atmosphere classy but chilled, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the bill 👍 Small thing, but they only added 10% service rather than 12.5%, we gave them 20%, they deserved it 🤩 Very highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lucky to have this restaurant in Chislehurst, food is authentic, very delicious and the staff are amazing and always make us feel so welcome! And they now serve a free glass of Prosecco with their breakfasts which makes it even better!

Fine Ukrainian dishes, Great quality of food, good service.

First time trying Ukrainian food. We had sharing platter of dumplings, beef benderyky and and they were very flavourful. Mushroom sauce was 😋. Service was excellent. Will go back and try more things on the menu.

Really delicious meals and very friendly service. For the quality of the meal it is worth the price. Delivery of food and drinks was a little slow considering the restaurant was quiet. Still would be happy to come back again.

The menu is a beautiful blend of classic Ukrainian dishes and contemporary twists. An absolute must-visit for anyone wanting to experience the flavors and hospitality of Ukraine in London.

A gem of a place. The food is really well done and while not all dishes are strictly eastern/central european, the menu is generally a good representation of that part of Europe. Server who took care of us was lovely, the restaurant interior is pleasant and the place seems clean. The dishes I tried were the potato cakes, sea bass and sweet pancakes from the lunch menu as well as honey cake - all excellent.

We had a fantastic evening. Service spot on which makes such a difference. Food lovely and the live music was an unexpected treat.

Bardzo miła obsługa. Jedzenie smaczne, ale porcje bardzo małe. . Ale... restauracja, poza obsługa, nie ma nic wspólnego z Kijowem i Ukrainą. Kuchnia nawet blisko nie leżaka ukraińskiej. Zero ukraińskiego klimatu. Właściciele powinni się zastanowić, dlaczego restauracje nazwali Stary Kijów. Mają szansę stworzyć miejsce z dusza, ale muszą chcieć. I pokazać kawałek Kijowa Anglikom.

We went on Wednesday for steak night and waited forever to get our meal the waitress was very apologetic but not very good service

Everything we had was delicious and potato pancakes were exactly like I remember from my childhood. Honey cake was to die for. All portions decently sized. Mocktail passion fruit martini was just like the real cocktail. Staff friendly and professional. Will certainly be back. Thank you for a lovely evening xx

Very friendly staff, great pianist on a Friday evening which really added to the atmosphere, food was wonderful (the pierogi took me right back to childhood and the Black Sea salad starter was amazing). Cocktails were delicious. Lovely evening.

We visited this place with my boyfriend and after 6 days in London , it was honestly the best food we had here ! The waitress was very polite and kind , the food really tasteful and the prices reasonable.

Had a glass of bubbly today but stunned by the fab experience. Amazing team. Authentic can’t wait to go back!

Good quality food. The service was a bit slow, albeit friendly. A duo were playing music to a high standard, but at times it was far too loud, preventing us from being able to hear each other.

Excellent food and great service. Our waiter was very helpful with suggestions as we were not familiar with Ukrainian food. I recommend the borsch and the deruny, but there is a very broad menu with a mix of traditional Ukrainian dishes as well as some British options. They've done the restaurant up really nicely as well - it looks beautiful.

Lovely friendly welcome and service. Delighted to take a Ukranian friend to enjoy authentic Ukranian food, which was very tasty and served in a beautiful dining area tastefully decorated with Kiev artwork. Recommend and will be returning to sample other choices.

What a wonderful restaurant. Decor is absolutely beautiful. The service was perfect and finally the food was simply delicious. I tried some Ukrainian dishes that the lovely waitress recommended and I thoroughly enjoyed everything. Well done to everyone involved in making this restaurant so amazing 👏👏👏👏

UPDATE: 20th May Sadly our second visit and have to down grade this place for a number of issues. Firstly, they had a live band on who were so loud, we couldn’t hear each other. This completely ruined the evening. Several guest asked the manager to turn it down, and each time the music was just as loud as before. Secondly, some of the dishes were bland, fish included, which was a real shame. Finally, the place has mood lighting, so why not use it. It wasn’t until we were only one of two tables left, they decide to lower the lighting. I hope they take note and make these very easy changes.

Went for a double birthday celebration with friends. Booking was easy, did it in person. Decent size table with legroom for all of us. Great menu choices with explanation of items by staff. Great sized portions, well cooked and presented. Nice attention to allergy issues on booking. Great attention by Julia to everyone’s needs. Certainly worth visiting, and now on my favourites list!

In between lunch/dinner so very quiet. Beautiful cool space on a very hot day. Had to have chicken Kyiv which was delicious and then the mini warm cheese cakey things with fruit and yoghurt Mmmm. Mojito mocktail hit the spot too. Delightful service, so will be back before too long I hope.

Being Ukrainian, I have to say this place is pure gold. Food is at the level of the best Kyiv’s restaurants. Service is also at the very high level. Come and enjoy piece of Ukraine here in London.

This place is a true gem. We’d never tried true authentic Ukrainian food, but we’re blown away with how amazing it tasted. The menu has such great variety. Great food, cocktails, service and general ambience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Excellent food - I can say with all of experience of travel across Eastern Europe. Lovely, friendly staff and great ambience. Must try the potato pancakes, Ukrainian pasta and the apple pancakes for dessert.

Love this place. Very nice atmosphere with music and great service. Some traditional dishes, modern twists and some non-Ukrainian dishes for those that are less adventurous. Planning to visit here monthly

Me and my partner had been interested in visiting for a while, and we were *not* disappointed whatsoever! The staff were kind, attentive and welcoming, leaving us to experience a cuisine we had been wishing to try for a long time. The food was exceptional from the starter all the way through to dessert (hint: get the honey cake!) and we will definitely be dining here again.

This review should be 6 stars, well that's what my 8 year old boy said, from start to finish everything was amazing and the staff lovely. The food is out of this world and they brought my boy a slice of cake with candle as it was his birthday. Can't wait to go back and reasonable prices too. Especially for the quality.

Up market looking space. Friendly staff. Delicious food, plenty of choice, and a little alternative to a standard meal out.

The live music is absolutely diabolical. It seemed like the speakers were turned up even louder and the floor was vibrating. We had to cut our meal short as it was starting to give us a headache. Such a disappointment. The food is very expensive and it’s nice but all round the music ruined the evening. There’s no sense of awareness for diners who want a cosy dinner and chat.

Very nice restaurant, baby friendly. Staff were great and accommodating (a large group with babies, they organised us separately to split the bill in advance - paying and leaving separately was really easy). Very big portions particularly for the meal deal of 2 or 3 courses. Tasty food. Will go again.

Beautifully cook fish and pork today. It took a little time but worth the wait.

We went here for a special birthday (70th). The food took one hour to arrive and it was cold. The steak was sent back and returned Luke warm, the burger was cold inside, this was returned it then came back with a burnt bun and sizzled lettuce. This was returned as inedible. The carbonara was warm, one was gluten free, one was ordered with chicken, both was served with chicken, the chicken was cold. The asparagus was cold, the broccoli was cold. It was sadly disappointing. The waitress was very lovely and we understood it wasn’t her fault. We found the experience costly at £127 and sadly it ruined the occasion which was special. I would not recommend.

One of the best restaurants I went in the UK - the moment when you entered the restaurant, you will be astonished by the atmosphere - Ukrainian live music and you can see significant effort put on the restaurant's decorations - ordered 6 traditional Ukrainian dishes and all tasted extremely well and authentic. Strongly recommended!

Wonderful evening spent trying an authentic Ukrainian restaurant. Food options are broad. Melena and the rest of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Decor and ambience also very nice. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I had a lunch here and I can't wait to come back. Food was excellent (me as native Ukrainian can judge if dish is good), service was sooo nice (when I asked where they take Kyiv cake from our waitress checked up the shop for us), atmosphere was very calm, relaxed but same time fancy, I liked the interior and loos are just brilliant. Highly recommend this place.
