LOVE this bakery! The staff are the warmest and friendliest people you can hope to meet, and the food is delicious and fresh! Lovely filled rolls and baguettes. Also, the footlong sausage rolls are incredible!!

The caramel biscuits are to die for 🤤 I wish they’d open branches north of the river 🥰

A bakery stuck in the 70s... and so are the products... With the renewal of good artisan bakeries, this doesn't stand out.

We bought the lemon loaf cake. It was £5. Have to say, sadly disappointed. Was really looking forward to eating it when we got home, but unfortunately it was really dry and not nice at all. Don't know how we are going to get through the rest of it ! Asda's loaf cake is better. Or make it yourself at home.

Like going here staff always friendly and happy cook my bacon fresh. Sad thing prices have gone up on everything but they have taken the meal deal away. This really sucks. Happy to rise prices bu take away meal deal you as company suck

I live in Chicago and I'm in the area to visit my friend when he introduced me to this place. I have been stopping there every day since. Everything there is delicious and vegan!!

This being only the second time we ordered from here, we were severely disappointed. The first time (about a week ago), the sandwiches were really good. Today, a disaster. The bread is so stale it is impossible to bite through, there is a disgusting little black hair in it that made my stomach turn and close to no cheese and ham. It’s basically a dry old white baguette with a lot of lettuce, four slices of cucumber, some tomato, a black curly hair and… nothing else. It might be that we were just lucky the first time. It’s incredible how much the standard can change from a week to the next one. I wouldn’t even feed it to pets… extremely disappointing… it should be, as a minimum, embarrassing for a place calling itself a bakery to serve bread that can serve as a hammer:

This place is one of the gems in Beckenham High St. ‘s crown. Wonderful staff, great bakes - understated quality!

Excellent staff.Cornish pasty tasted fresh and delicious.

Overpriced, average food, meal deals not always available. Advise any of the other 20+ sandwich shops in Beckenham. Recently made a complaint to head office and they couldn't care less.

The cinnamon buns with fruit are to die for! It was my first visit and I'm so impressed. Will be back to try other goodies.

Delicious vegan bakery! Their rhubarb and custard muffins are unbelievably tasty. I didnt think I'd be able to have a YumYum again, and these are even better than I remember in my childhood.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes ‘A’ class Mediterranean cuisine. Any day! The quality and taste of the food is exceptionally good. The staff are very friendly and the owner is a lovely helpful gentleman. The service they provide is phenomenal.

Love this place. It is great to have a large selection of vegan cakes and pastries.

The service is below par and the food overpriced and of average quality. The manager is famous for shouting at people and at his staff. In our case he was rude with the ladies in our group when we mentioned the food was cold and there were hair on the plate. He also charged them for the poor service! Avoid!

The previous review summed it up perfectly, I would also add that members of the public were walking around without masks on and when I asked the waiter with the mask under his chin why he wasn’t enforcing the law he just shrugged his shoulders. I will not return

In these Covid times, I know some people will far about the Covid measures in place. I was really disappointed to find the main waiter in Koz continually wearing his mask around his chin and other waiters wearing them under their nose. I wouldn’t return for this reason.Food was decent.

I don't really like to write bad reviews, but there is no point writing them if I am not going to be honest. We went there and had a mixed plate of sausage, pastry rolls, whitebait and some other things. 2 of the items, including the sausage were vastly overcooked in dirty oil. The other dish we had was a chicken stew kind of thing. Flavourless and disappointing. Very over priced for what it was. Service was chaotic and to cap it all were 2 extra items by mistake, cough cough, on the bill at the end. Sorry to say that I would not recommend this place. Even the hummous was bland. I have worked for many years as a chef btw, so I would like to think I know a bit of what I am talking about.

My wife and I have been back a couple of times since Lockdown has been eased. Before that we also enjoyed some takeaways from Koz. Still superb food and great service. This time my wife opted for vegetarian moussaka (well she’s always said that Koz’s is the best she’s ever had anywhere) & I had a seftali. Still the best Turkish cuisine by a country mile! We’ll be back again very soon!

Came here late last night around 21.00 no problem getting a table, always said about trying it and so pleased we finally did the portion sizes and meat is a lot better than other Turkish places in the area could not fault a thing, the service was great and very attentive!

Friendly staff, good portion sizes and the food was very tasty! I ordered a lamb Shish and the meat was flavoured and cooked perfect! Highly recommend this place!

And we're back!! And it was my turn with K. Obviously booking is essential. It was not too busy when we arrived at 7:30pm. The staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful. We shared a couple of platters which were really filling - I couldn't even finish my main meal and 2 of my friends actually shared a main! The cocktails were great albeit the Mediterranean Kiss was a bit weak but they topped us up with a bit more alcohol. The Jack Daniels long Island was my favourite . The food was very nice and excellent value for money. The car park just up the road is free after 7 or 7:30pm which was a bonus and social distancing within the restaurant was sufficient. Would definitely recommend. It's so good to be back!!

My husband, 3 year old son and I were in this restaurant. We had a very pleasant time. quiet and beautiful place. the wonderful attention of all personal dl, they strive to make us feel good. the food, exquisite. I did not like the lamb very much and for that reason we ordered mixed lamb with chicken, and I was stunned. the most delicious lamb I have ever eaten. We will definitely be back.

This place is an absolute gem! Amazing cakes and pastries, bread, snacks, you name it... And almost all vegan! They don't shout about it much, bit it is the best bakery for vegans that I've been to in South London.

We love Coughlans! The pastries and sweets are delicious and probably the best selection of vegan bakery items of any bakery! Massively recommend to anyone. The food at Coughlans is made with love and it makes all the difference 💜

We have used Koz quite a few times via Deliveroo during the lockdown period. In every case, the food has been hot, well-prepared and absolutely delicious. Delivery has been prompt and professional. We have been delighted to be able to support this local business during this challenging time and they haven't let us down. Our weekly Koz is something we look forward to and enjoy.Thank you to all the staff doing an amazing job in really difficult circumstances, and of course, the delivery drivers who have also been fantastic.Looking forward to visiting in person again when this is all over!

We had a lovely takeaway from here this evening. We collected, the food was ready at the time we were told. The staff were very friendly upon collection while trying very hard to encourage social distancing to their collection guests and delivery staff. Would definitely recommend.

Attended a birthday celebration in the lower ground floor of this restaurant. Place warm and food ok. Toilets nice but up a good flight of stairs. Venue good have been cleaner. Whilst host arranged for the guest to receive a variety of things the staff were not forthcoming. Additionally they shafted the host when they tried to finalise the bill insisting that what one of their own staff had arranged was not correct. Would not ever recommend. No integrity or respect for customers.

We went to Koz last night, 22.2.2020, for my brothers 50th birthday. There were 10 of us. It all started off very nice with drinks and starters, which were nice. Our main meals arrived, apart from my dads which the waiter said would be a couple of minutes. After several minutes it still hadn’t arrived and he was told that there was a mix up with the orders and it wouldn’t be long. Again several minutes later and it still hadn’t arrived. The rest of the family had nearly finished their meals so my dad told the waiter to leave his meal as he didn’t want it anymore. All the waiter could say was “are you sure”, not even an apology. Absolutely appalling customer service. We promptly asked for the bill which arrived. The £60 deposit had NOT been deducted and when questioned, again, there was no apology for the mistake. Needless to say I will not be returning to Koz and will certainly not be recommending it. All I can say is make sure you check the bill before you pay!!

Despite having a receipt and email confirmation of the price, insisted on us paying £50.00 extra at the end of the event. Do not book with this restaurant as they like to over charge.

This is an update as my wife & I went here last night. Still producing consistently good food. My wife had a Vegetarian Moussaka (which she always insists is the best she’s ever had) and I had an Iskendar which featured lamb shish kebab, rice and a good dollop of yoghurt - yummy! The restaurant has now dispensed with its takeaway so provides more covers. Best to book especially on a Saturday night as it’s usually rammed. Enjoy! We did.

Myself and partner are regular customers because we always receive great service. The staff are always attentive and Friendly. The food is always fresh and tasty which is why we are always going back. The Salmon steak is cooked perfectly. The restaurant is always busy so would advise booking but thankfully on the times we have forgotten to they manage to squeeze us in.

LOTS of vegan items! Warm savoury pastries, many treats (cupcakes, cookies, rum balls, date squares) and whole cakes.

We had lunch here, it was nice with few exceptions,( one of our friends found his meal very spicy even though he asked for a mild option).The staff is friendly and helpful.The grilled fish was delicious.The only con was the lack of light. We had to literally light our cellphones to read the menu. I don’t like eating in the darkness, but it might be a personal preference.Worth a try.

Lived in Beckenham for five years and this was my first visit. Will definitely return. Had a delicious mid-week evening meal with friends. We were made to feel extremely welcome and had great service throughout the evening. The food was excellent and great value. A nice light and airy restaurant too. Looking forward to my next visit already.

We ate here and there were 11 of us from work. Had drinks . Delicits food and the waiters and owner were wonderful. Even remembered my name. I would go back in a blink and recommend it to anyone who likes good food and good vibes

Hot chocolate small was very small for the price, but nice place to have a quick bite on the high street. The staff made us feel very welcome and both served and cleared up in a timely fashion.

The produce is good, of the best, but above all the friendly helpfulness of the staff is second to none.

We went here for our daughters birthday. Service was horrendous. We were made to feel like we were an inconvenience. We have also had much nicer food in Beckenham that was also much cheaper. We will never return.

Visited Koz on the very hot weekend a couple of weeks back. The restaurant was very busy but because they open up the front and have a good air conditioning system it wasn't unpleasant at all. We received a friendly welcome and the service was spot on. The food arrived promptly and was excellent. Reasonably priced. Would defiantly recommend and will be returning in the future.

I walked past and had to detour as the window looked so inviting! A beautiful bakery, clean throughout with a large selection of lunch choices (including vegan) and cakes to 'die' for! Some inside seating if you'd prefer to eat in. Customer service was excellent and I will definitely stop by again.

Stumbled upon this place on MOnday night with my partner. We fancied something different from the usual places we go in Beckenham so went for a wander and found Kos. We went for the set menu, it was great. Loads of starters to share and then i had the chicken shish and my partner had the grilled halloumi. All the food was well cooked and presented and the waiting staff were really really good! will def be returning!

You can only be a vegan at the weekend! By passed my quick route today to pick up a vegan croissant- only to be told they only do them at the weekend!!! I blame these part time meat eater diets!!

A friend suggested this as a nice place for dinner. We had a really nice evening, the staff were really helpful suggesting dishes and what’s to share. The portion sizes are just right and the food is lovely and fresh. Would definitely go back again.

On a visit to Beckenham I was treated to a meal at Koz. Wasn’t sure about Turkish food but decided to give it a try. When entering the restaurant you could think it to be a little dark however after a few minutes and getting used to the light I found it to be just right. The staff were very attentive and pleasant and our order taken quickly. I ordered the King Chicken which was very nice and a good size portion, the sauce that came with it was delicious. I decided to try the Turkish red whine and found this to be full bodied and smooth. All in all a great experience and would recommend.

Great selection of baked treats, particularly vegan items. Often sold out of things though so perhaps they should make more? Staff always helpful and friendly too.

Always our go to restaurant because the quality is good. I think the prices have gone up on mains too much though. Manager is a bit OTT with customers too, it's not genuine.

Very decent restaurant in Beckenham town centre.... staff are friendly and you can tell they really care about customers. The food is good quality and the portions are very generous. Busy even at lunch time and atmosphere is family friendly.

Visited this restaurant about three months ago. Super food, excellent value for money and the staff are so friendly.

Arrived without a booking and the restaurant was quiet and we chose a table of 4 although there was only two of us as the table for two was right by the stairs.

Koz is absolutely fantastic. We've been a few times and it's always brilliant. They welcome you like a member of the family. The menu is really varied and everything is home cooked and delicious. We had a minced kebab and a chicken shwarma kebab. Both with rice and salad. We also had some pitta and tzatziki. Friendly and informative staff and a buzzing atmosphere. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Being Mediterranean I know a little about this cuisine so can genuinely and confidently state that the food at Koz is of a high standard, it tastes as it should, well seasoned, well presented and fair portions.

If you are vegan, this is the place to go. They sell a wide choice of vegan cakes and savoury items. All of which are delicious. If your not vegan, they have real meat alternatives too. Also the staff are very friendly.

Turned up on a Sunday on the off chance a table would be available. As it happened there were a couple of tables but one was booked. Staff very attentive. Starters are very generous. The taramasalata was one of, no, was the best I’ve had. The lamb in the kebab was very tender. My companions enjoyed the chilli chicken and koftas. The flavour of the food was excellent.

Visited this place with the lads to celebrate my in laws 50th. The food was freshly cooked and tasty, the place was clean and staff were friendly. My only criticism was the waiter smelled of Bio and everytime he leaned over to the table it made me feel sick!

Took seven of us to Koz on Sunday evening to celebrate my [##] birthday. One of us is Vegan. Good atmosphere and service, excellent food and reasonable prices. First time I had been back for a couple of years, and glad I did.

I just returned for the 2nd time to Koz in Beckenham,I did not book a table and as it was Saturday the restaurant was very busy but they accommodate me and boyfriend immediately.

The restaurant could fit my party of 2 into a table without a reservation with the minimum of fuss. The attentive staff kept us topped up with drinks and choosing the set dinner was a real treat with numerous hot and cold mezze dishes to start and a very generous mixed grill for main there was no room for desert. A very good family oriented restaurant that always delivers the goods in the wide variety on offer on the High Street

0 stars Shocking Absolutely shocking customer service from a member of staff while another member of staff stood gobsmacked , Not friendly , quite grotesque, slobby, snappy, dismissive and rude .. When I asked the staff member if her superiors would approve of her level of service, she replied with a blank stare infront of customers , while her colleague looked shocked , I said look how she is looking at me , this is crazy ., the college said don’t worry I’ll deal with it and next time u come I will sort by out , and also acknowledged that me and my family have been coming here for ages and we have done anything wrong .. STOP EMPLOYING PEOPLE WITH METAL ISSUES THAT MAY JEOPARDISE SERVICE , HENCE PSHCHO DEATH STARE ?? .. not very nice , not impressed ..

We visited for the first time on a Saturday night. The place was packed - you need to book!

Tried this restaurant for the first time and was not disappointed. There is a good range of hot and cold starters - many of them suitable for different dietary requirements. The choice of main courses comes from kebabs, grills, fish, pide, vegetarian and casseroles. The lamb casserole (Et Sote), served with rice and salad, was delicious and a very generous portion. The prices are very reasonable, service pleasant, décor inviting, food tasty - well recommended and will be returning as soon as I can!

i went there twice in a week- once for my Christmas dinner with friends and then new years day dinner with family. My first visit inspired my second one so soon. the food i had there was one of the best Mediterranean food i've had in London. The portion sizes are excellent and good value for money. everything we ordered was fresh, tasty and homemade. I'd like to go there again as i dream about their food now. Their sharing platter is one of the best things on the menu. it has everything and the portion size is enough for 3-4 people sharing. Loved their hummus, falafel, filo pastry parcels, freshly baked bread garlic mushrooms. In short, i like everything i ordered there. their Turkish pizzas are one of the best in town.

Never disappointed on any visit

Although there are not many vegan options on the menu the owner and staff couldn't do enough for us... they had fresh dishes cooked especially for us and each regular dish was checked for butter or milk and alternatives offered...Very friendly and helpful staff. We were so well looked after and the food was delicious.

Last Saturday 1st Dec 18, I held my 40th Birthday dinner party for 35 people in the private area in Koz, I must say it was an excellent evening.
