This is the best Turkish restaurant in London, no doubts about it. Warm, friendly atmosphere, fantastic service, helpful while not overbearing. Portions are huge, food is always fresh and tasty. Prices are customer-friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone. 💖

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Hisar and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and the lovely scent of freshly cooked food greeted us. The staff were incredibly welcoming, making us feel like part of the family. The menu offered a variety of traditional Turkish dishes, and every bite was a delightful adventure. The mixed grill was perfectly seasoned and tender, while the meze platter was a vibrant explosion of flavors – I couldn't get enough of the hummus and calamari. The attention to detail in both the food and the service really stood out. Every dish was beautifully presented, and you could tell a lot of love went into creating each plate. I highly recommend Hisar to anyone craving authentic Turkish cuisine. It’s a hidden gem that I’ll definitely be returning to soon!

Went here for lunch meeting, the service is good however the food isn't the best turkish. Is nice but I've had better turkish food. The shish cubes for lamb and chicken are cut quite big sized and can do with being smaller for better cook.

Too the wife and daughter for her birthday, booked in advance on their website, which was easy, and got a confirmation same day. Saturday evening was very busy. The atmosphere was nice , the service was very good and the food was hot, fresh tastie and very filling , and they don't automatically add service charge to the bill

Just been for a meal with my brother, the food was absolutely fantastic. Great service. By far the best Turkish I’ve had this side of the river. Make sure to ask for a side of the chilli sauce, absolutely delicious.

Excellent food. Large portions great taste. Drinks enjoyed by all. Staff was very friendly and attentive to all our needs. We got there early 5pm and there was no customers. However, the music was good and the environment warm. Lots of people started to arrive around 7pm. So next time I will book a table later on in the evening.

Had our weekly dinner date here with my wife on a Tuesday evening. From the moment we stepped in the place, we were very warmly welcomed by the host and shown to a free table. We asked for the tap water first whilst we had a browse in the menu. We ended up going for the Hisar Set Menu: 6 mezzes (starters) with a main dish for each person. The mezzes came first in 6 different small trays. We also had a basket of hot flatbread to share. The hummus was very smooth and aromatic, which, we both liked. For mains, my wife went for the meat moussaka, whereas I went for the mixed grill. The moussaka was ok, not the best. The meats on the mixed grill were tasty and well seasoned. Overall it was a nice eating experience in a tranquil atmosphere.

Our favourite restaurant in Beckenham! We’ve been coming to Hisar for 7+ years, the quality of food and service is second to none and always can’t wait to for our next visit!

I ordered a takeaway on Deliveroo, and the mixed grill took a long time to be prepared, so it arrived cold. Unfortunately, the temperature wasn’t the only issue—the food itself was quite disappointing. It lacked flavour, and the quality of the meat wasn’t great; the chicken wings were ok. Overall though, I found it so unappetising that I couldn’t eat most of it and ended up throwing it away. I wouldn’t recommend it.

This is the best restaurant we found in Beckenham so far. The crew is fantastic, very educated and friendly. We did not make a reservation, but they found a very comfortable table in a few moments. The food is great and the price is really good. Thanks a lot for your welcome yesterday. We will be back for sure

I went here for my birthday meal today and I am still amazed with the hospitality, the food was amazing! The atmosphere was chilled and just nice. This is definitely somewhere I'd recommend to family and friends for all occasions and even for non occasions! Easy to book, very friendly and welcoming, childrens menu with good portions. I took my son here for his birthday. He chose the restaurant as he had been once before. I booked my reservation online, and it was quite straightforward. I received a text whilst it was being reviewed, then another text once it had been approved. They even sent a reminder text the day before I was due to attend. So I definitely rate their service. The food was absolutely lovely and very tasty. My son had a calamari starter, and I had a king prawn starter. We had a mixed grill shish with white rice and salad. It was well worth every penny I spent. We had quite a few drinks as well. This restaurant does include a service charge, but I was happy to pay it as their customer service is excellent. I would definitely use this restaurant again. 5 star.

A compact and busy restaurant serving good food at decent prices with responsive friendly service. Hisar seems to do very well with repeated custom and its obvious why.

Arrived at 9.40pm ordered our food which came out st 10.10pm lamb shish was tough as anything, was my other half's birthday and told them and got the reply yes we know you already told us .. felt very rushed to the point we asked to take it away . Definitely won't return again

Food is consistently good - generous and flavourful. Lovely cocktails and we love the warm service. So many other Turkish places on the high street and in other areas but we always return to Hisar as the best of the lot.

I have just had my father’s wake here and I would highly recommend their service , kindness and quality , it is very comfortable and intimate space for this service.

Would give 6 stars if I could, every time I’ve been here food service and atmospheres have been 5/5. Food is top tier each and every time (lamb and chicken shish are juicy and tender never dry), staff are some of the most attentive I have ever experienced, drinks by their mixologist are some of the best I’ve tasted in London. Couldn’t recommend more if I tried.

We done the bottomless brunch and it was worth every penny. Food were plenty and very yummy! Cocktails were well made and they didn’t hold back 😋. Pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

Our waiter Dilman looked after us beautifully. He recommended a Turkish white wine which was delicious and gave some great advice regarding the food. I can strongly recommend the Vegetable Guvec and my friends were all very happy with their food choices of Salmon and Lamb Shish. Baklava for dessert and a little more wine...great night had by all, thank you Dilman and the Hisar team!

Had a great evening with three couples. Five of us had the fixed menu don't think I would do that next time, a starter and main better value and maybe cheaper. House red was great and under £20 which is amazing these days. First to arrive and last to leave so must have been a good night. Cheerful service on a busy Saturday night. So many Med/Turkish restaurants filling the High St.now but Hizar has been here for ages and was recommended by a Turkish friend as the best local one. Forgot to take photos as enjoying the evening.

I am way overdue with my review but I had to leave one! Let me tell you this restaurant was absolutely amazing. I was trying to organise a surprise meal for my son's 18th birthday for the beginning of this month. Not only were they the only ones to get back to me in a timely manner answering my enquiry via email, they were so accommodating, patient, warm and hospitable. I dealt with Erkan and he was friendly and all of the above. When it came closer to the date, there was a bit of misunderstanding and I was stressing but out of his own back he went above and beyond to (in his words) "not to ruin your sons birthday". When I went there two days before the booking, Erkan was away but Mo took over and he again had the same energy as Erkan which was great! They made it feel like we were having a private party at a friends house as all the staff were friendly, welcoming, fun and just AMAZING! Great vibes from beginning to end, from the first point of contact to the last minute we were there! Everyone had a really great time, loved the food- food came out hot and fresh! To do that dealing with 45 people was impressive! Thank you for making my son's surprise 18th a success!Really appreciate it!Even to this day people are mentioning it! Well decorated, very friendly and helpful staff. Food was very tasty, portions sized for multiple courses which may or may not upset some. It is a meze place so meant to order many dishes. Excellent dessert (honey and cinnamon pudding) and Turkish coffee.

Beautiful restaurant. 5 stars all round. My partner and I often enjoy a lunch or dinner here and dispute having a young 5 month old baby girl they always accommodate us and make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food is amazing.

The Lamb chops is succulent its grilled and had great veg on the side . and very flavoursm. We also had the ADANA Kofte made with fresh lamb mince fresh herbs with makes this dish stand out its truely the best in London and I've had this a fair amount around London . Mo the manager was extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. They even brought the chef out as I couldn't stop raving about the good . I went to Hizar last week, with 5 friends, for my birthday. The menu is great and we all really enjoyed our food. The service was fantastic!

Group meal this evening. Super fresh and tasty food, great service, hadn't been in a while but so pleased to be back.

Not really impressed tbh . The portions of meat in the mixed grill were kind of mean - lamb chop had barely any meat on it and the chicken wings must have come from a budgie and the salad was devoid of any olive oil / lemon dressing . Bland food really . The baklava dessert was delicious but we won’t return . Another disappointing Beckenham High street experience ….

Lovely staff who were efficient, polite and gave a sense of 'grandness'. They went out of their way to speed up the delivery of our 2 courses as we had to make a film in time.The menu had a wide selection and was at a good price. The food was presented lovely and the portion sizes were very good. The restaurant itself is very well decorated. Its very well located by a cinema and bars, so perfect if your wanting to watch a film or have a few drinks after. Their bottomless brunch was great value too ! Lots of food and they kept the drinks flowing!! I would highly recommend visiting!

Turkish restaurants are a dime a dozen in Bromley Borough, and this one doesn't stand out. Very average food and atmosphere, and although the staff were always available, they were clearly only interested in getting us out of the way as quickly as possible.

Food was fabulous. We had a set menu of mixed hot and cold meze and a good selection of a main.

I called the restaurant twice the first time someone hang up in my face because I asked them kindly to not call me honey or sweetheart to keep professional. I being using this restaurants for years and it’s very very sad that when you call to do a complain, to sort things out between us He treat customers like a liar or a freak, whoever answer my call was just being rude v very rude ( Manager or owner wants to hear our phone call I have record) I am disgusted by the attitude of whoever answer me do to my complain! I called to tell what happens with my calamari order , I only received two pieces!!! ( By the way almost 6 pounds) he said to me that the chef told them that was three pieces!!! now I didn’t wanna accuse the chef! but it’s a whole between the food left at the restaurant and wen came to my house??? I just received two passes!! Why I would waste my time for one little piece of calamari and why they couldn’t sort things up between us? By the end everything was cold !!!they lost a customer for their very bad attitude, I used to order 2,3 time a week ! but today I order from my mom app because my one it wasn’t working !! disgusting attitude !!! I will be treated better off on Koss

Popped in midweek after going to the cinema. The Waiter was distracted then told us we had to finish eating by 10pm. We ordered a mixed Meze which was mediocre, chicken wings and drinks.. Dare not order anything else! The waiter then brought the desert menu to which we responded, no thanks you want to go home at which point he put on his jacket and left. I guess we were right🥹

I went to Hisar with a big group of 24 people to celebrate my mother’s birthday and from start to finish everything were amazing. The staff were so attentive and helpful, we had shared starters which was amazing, and we had individual main course and we all loved it huge portions, we had 3 vegans and they were very happy Vegan options and the food quality. We will definitely return and recommend Hisar to everyone.

Best falafel I have ever had and I only had a taste. Really enjoyed the food here and felt it was good value for money. Staff were nice and accommodating as we had 3 kids in our party. Would definitely go back again for a local Mediterranean feast.

Heard about this place a while ago, finally got a chance to check it out while in the area - food is good, I would even say authentic compared to others i've tried, also portions are large Service is great would definitely return!

Testy but overpriced. I ordered lamb ribs and received bones mainly like I am a dog. Just a little meat around the mini bones. Paid good money for this and was left hungry. Not hoi g again
