Had the most amazing brunch here for my birthday today. Delicious food, incredible service and the staff made it really special. Highly recommend! Thank you to Efe and team for an amazing morning!

The service was good and the atmosphere nice, but the food itself was bland, flavourless and very overpriced for what it was, which was a pity as we were expecting bold flavours from a Spanish tapas establishment. I'm surprised at the number of 5 star reviews but perhaps we just caught them on a bad day.

The restaurant is located in the middle of the high street and is easy to find. The location is right next to the road. The name of the restaurant is clear and it is very big, so it is easy to find it. In addition, I heard that there will be a market selling different foods on this street on Saturdays and Sundays, so if you don’t want to be crowded, you can come here on weekdays. The restaurant is Spanish cuisine, but it also provides different food options. For example, because we came earlier, we tried their breakfast. The English breakfast is really good, with different foods, and the presentation is very beautiful. It can be seen that the chefs really put their heart into cooking. They also have alcoholic drinks and coffee drinks. We tried their coffee this time and it tasted really good and worth recommending. We want to try their lunch menu next time. We feel like there are many Spanish dishes that we want to try, so we have decided to come back next time.

Have been here twice now on a busy Saturday brunch and both times managed to get a table quickly. The brunch menu has lots of options and very tasty. Despite being very busy, I always find the staff here very friendly and helpful! Would recommend the eggs royale or English breakfast. The red brick coffee was also great!

A cosi place, cute decor, strong earthy flavours. The plating is thoughtful with special emphasis on the color scheme. Try the fried octopus, the pork cheeks that are velvety, the Huevos potatoes, the paella with cuttlefish ink. Very good prices and quantities. I recommend el ganzo, as a spot for foodie lovers!

Excellent lively tapas restaurant in a buzzing area. We managed to get a last minute booking on a Saturday evening & while we were dining we noticed people queuing at the door to get in! Tables are quite close together but it felt cosy not squashy Food was excellent & service very prompt & efficient The best bit was that every so often, when the managers thought things needed livening up, they'd pump the music up & everyone got up to do the Macarena or some salsa. It was such fun!

Excellent food, great vibe. But we had to wait almost half an hour for a table, even though we had a booking and arrived on time! It was a Saturday.

this used to be a great place but it's gone downhill. the food was very mediocre and so was the service. the gazpacho tasted of mayonnaise, the papayas bravas were dry and tasteless and the 'seared scollops' raw. very disappointing.

Wonderful place for Saturday brunch! The coffee, eggs and juice are delicious. It's always buzzing and the staff are wonderful. Recommend sitting outside to enjoy the atmosphere of Broadway Market over the weekend.

A good variety of dishes, with some modern twists on traditional tapas. The true standout was the service! It was my friends' birthday and the team helped us celebrate in style with flashing lights, dancing, and gypsy kings on full blast. We'll definitely be back - you made our night.

I had a wonderful breakfast experience at this restaurant with my friends. The atmosphere was delightful, and we ordered Eggs Royal, Turkish Eggs, and English Breakfast. Overall, it was a great meal.

Had a lovely brunch and family get together. We were a large table but the staff were amazing at looking after us. Especially the young waitress who went to so much trouble to get us all together in a family photo. Thank you!

Highly recommend for those who like tapas and small cozy places. Great sangria, lots of vegetarian options and quick service. Might be loud at times, but atmosphere is amazing. Book in advance as the place is quite busy most of the time.

Not great for vegan breakfast but great overall. I've been to El Ganso a few times since it's local to me. They are very accomodating as I managed to order avocado on toast even though it's not on the menu for breakfast. Breakfast menu is mostly eggs. For dining after 12 they do tapas which has a lot more options. I'd recommend it for non-vegan breakfasts and for afternoon dining. Lovely people will definitely take care of you.

The portions were truly small, I paid for 15£ for a starter.

Went with friends on a busy Saturday night. The owners obviously trying to maximise space have squeezed an inordinate amount of tables into a very tight space which meant tables were literally touching each other. I had the misfortune of sitting on the end and was repeatedly walked into by servers due to the lack of space (this happened more times than I could count and I think I was apologised to once!). Being tapas and there being 5 of us, we ordered multiple dishes and multiple portions of the same dishes. The waitress who took our order assumed we only wanted one of everything and so we only received half of our order. On asking where the rest of our food was we were told it wasn’t on our bill and therefore hadn’t been ordered. The server then apologised for his colleagues service (complaining that “she’s still training”). They then ordered the rest of the food and it came quickly but by that point we were over it. Further to this, they offer sangria but it’s not on the menu which we found strange. When we got the bill we realised why- it was a whopping £30 for a small jug!!! No wonder it wasn’t listed on the menu!! When given our food, it was pretty much thrown on the table and servers quickly barked out what the dish was before running off (it was so loud in there that we often couldn’t hear). So we didn’t know what some of the dishes were until we started eating. I then asked a waitress to refill our water, she came and refilled half the tables drinks (all of our glasses were empty). I called her back over to fill the remaining glasses and she said she was coming but never did. Later I asked another waitress to fill these same glasses, she then shouted “so how many of you want water? All of you?” As if we were putting her out. The food was actually delicious and that’s the only reason I’m giving it 3 stars. However some dishes were served cold which is fine I just wish it stated on the menu ( I may not have ordered certain dishes had I know ). The overall experience was overwhelming and unpleasant, staff were clearly stressed out and disorganised which ultimately meant that their service was lacklustre and at times, simply rude. Will not return, which is a shame as the food was lovely.

As we sat at our table the manager came to tell us there was ‘a limit of time to decide from the menu’ or we should leave. Once rushed into choosing the food came and it was mediocre at best - the vegetarian green rice had to be sent back because raw as stones, chorizo in port wine was greasy as hell, fried calamari still raw, manchego cheese was literally 20 grams of it and worst of the bunch padron peppers, oversized, tough, raw. For drinks, 3 glasses of house red, 2 house white and a beer. Water refilled by the waiters only by request in glasses that smelled of eggs. And to top it all, the bill was over £200 for 6 people. Honestly, I would have never gone to this place by choice - ‘up and coming’ gentrified areas give me hives - and I’m sure I’ll never grace them with my presence nor my wallet. If you can, avoid it like the plague…

Busy on a Sunday night. Good and prompt service, loud and fun atmosphere. Decent chorizo with cider and apple, lamb chops, Gambia’s and brilliant frittata. Wine a bit expensive for what it was…Vinho Verde. Nice visit, will be back when in area again

Falls into all the usual traps of 'successful' restaurants by forgetting the customer and concentrating on sweating the asset .... the space is small and they've crammed as many tables in as possible, meaning you can hear everybody else's conversations. There is a palpable brisk nature to the service with the aim of turning tables as quickly as possible. The food itself is unremarkable and overpriced, unable to recommend it. There are way better choices in London, even in Broadway Market.

I always choose pancakes for breakfast bc I have a sweet tooth and they're never worth it but these were delicious! Really chunky, with fruit, sour cream and lemon zest so filling but tasty & not too sweet and then a bottle of maple syrup which was great as it let you add as much as you liked when you wanted :) will definitely come again next time I'm in the area!

We chose to walk down to Broadway Market, to find somewhere we could sit outside, enjoy the early evening sun and drink some summer drinks. We found a pavement table at El Ganso, a self-proclaimed Taste of Spain”. What more did we need; tapas and Sangria whilst we could do a lot of people watching. The menu looked standard fair, the staff hovered in anticipation. We’d decided on some favourites but I still did my usual of asking some customers on neighbouring tables what they had been eating. One group had suggested that we should avoid the Chorizo dish but when we asked the waiter, he strongly recommended the Chorizo dish. As you know by now, tapas {or sharing plates} is my preferred option for eating. We ordered 8 savoury dishes which was plenty for 4 people. I had hoped that there would be some spacing out of our dishes but they all came at once, rendering our table a bit of a bomb site. We were juggling some of the dishes and I felt that we were being encouraged to get food onto our plates in order that other dishes could be put down. Patatas Bravas served with a spicy brava sauce and ali-oli. The Bravas lacked a crunch, the spicy sauce was thick and spicy, the ali-oli seemed to lack one of the key ingredients; garlic. The Bravas was one of these dishes that we kicked around the table, focusing on the other dishes, returning to the Bravas only when they were cold. Pimientos were cooked well but were swimming in too much oil and didn’t have enough salt. So the texture was lacking. Gambas al Ajillo in Chilli & Garlic oil. Each plate came with 3 prawns {we’d ordered 2 plates}. This happens a lot at sharing restaurants. Why put 3 of anything on a plate. Normally I see an even number of customers within groups, and even the restaurants lay their tables out in 2s or 4s etc. The prawns were well cooked within their shells. Firm but not overdone. The sauce, well I did see chilli flakes and some hint of garlic but tasted neither. Calamari was HOT, the batter crisp . The rings were put on a bed of ink ali-oli, making an interesting looking dish but again, the sauces lacked the punch of flavour. Pork Belly from the specials menu. Something had to be eaten last and for me, this was the pork belly. By the time I’d got around to the meat dish it had gone slimy, lacked any crispness, and was cold. Manchego served with tarta de aceite, membrillo & nuts. Now, I don’t normally eat Manchego but the presentation was good and the combination of nuts, plum confiture & the sweet biscuit was much better than expected. The tarta was crisp and flaky; Tetilla served with tarta de aceite, membrillo & nuts; the soft cheese left that desirable, creamy, slightly salty flavour in the mouth. A bit disappointed that it was presented in the same way as the Manchego, but everything blended together. And the Sangria; well Sangria is Sangria and with great company the drink flowed so much that we ordered a second “jug”.

Eight people. Family birthday. Sunday lunchtime. Terrific. This is a great restaurant for all the good reasons - wonderful food, great location, sensible prices, attentive service and great atmosphere. It's a buzzy, informal and thoroughly enjoyable experience. The vibe from BRoadway Market continues inside and the team are numerous, welcoming and very attentive. We were offered the party set menu which at £35 is a steal. Everything is good but the pan con tomates and the pulpo stood out asdid the churros which are nomally pretty simple but were accompanied by the perfect chocolate sauce - not too thick, not too sweet and perfectly matched. Wine list is good and sensible and the bar is in full flow for other drinks. The unleaded brigade are well catered to with soft drinks and 0.0% beer. Overall a highly recommended restaurant and I'd go back for the flamenco night if I lived closer.

I am a local and decided to try the restaurant, I found it a bit noisy but good atmosphere. I had a cocktail which was delicious!! Had the arroz negro and was a bit underwhelming so I was disappointed. The staff was super nice!

Un restaurante fantástico, agradable, concurrido y bien administrado, en una excelente ubicación, con comida propiamente deliciosa. ¿Qué más podrías querer? Todos quedamos impresionados y ya estamos planeando nuestro regreso.
