Diddy's in Hackney

Best cocktail bar in london and specially in east, cocktails are cheap the vibe is cosy and the music is good ! Highly recommended !

The food was fine but the lady who owns the place was very scary and aggressive. I don't know if she had an issue with someone in our group (an eclectic mix) but I felt intimidated out.

The owner of this restaurant in honestly the rudest most unwelcoming person i've ever met working in hospitality. She has no manners, an awful attitude and is out right rude, she made my friend cry on her birthday night out, simply because we took slightly too long to decide what we wanted to drink and her comment was 'you're actually being rude taking so long to decide, so can you ha ha leave'. Do not go to this place, the worst experience in the whole of London. The cafe itself didn't make any sense with some chairs across the road.

Diddy is lovely - really welcoming, friendly and makes a great margarita, in a cosy and inviting space - would highly recommend!

The loveliest, friendliest and best value cafe in Hackney. Great coffee and beautifully prepared food. The banana cake is sensational and the portion sizes are overgenerous. You really need to visit and enjoy

A tasty toasty followed by a great flat white and a generous slice of wonderful banana cake baked by the delightful Diddy herself should make anyone's day - it certainly makes mine which is why I keep going back.

Just for a while step away from the frenetic atmosphere of Hackney and into Diddy’s bijou café and enjoy this oasis of calm and charming civility. Treat yourself to a delicious Avocado and Feta sandwich with 2 poached eggs along with a fresh coffee or, if you are feeling self-indulgent, accompanied with something a little stronger. My thanks go to Diddy the proprietor for all her hard work and vitality; I look forward to visiting again.

Diddy's is a truly excellent find in Bethnal Green. Your host, Diddy, is enthusiastic and hard-working. She and her staff can't do enough to make customers happy. Homemade food is delicious, and there is an excellent basement area. We attended a storming 30th birthday there, and everyone (of all ages) had a great time. It is a short 254 bus ride from the tube.

Great avocado on toast (add the eggs) and delicious juices. Very friendly atmosphere and somewhere I go most weeks when in the area.

Recently had the pleasure of visiting Diddy's for the second time ... in fact I walked half way across London to have the eggs again and I was not disappointed. If you go ... have the sourdough, smashed avocado and feta with poached eggs it is INCREDIBLE! Also had a fresh apple juice which was lovely. Really smart yet simple decor, friendly staff and a clean place to pop in for quick and tasty food. Can't recommend enough. Looking forward to visiting London again and popping in.

We discovered this lovely little bar just walking around Mere Street. Diddy makes amazing Negroni and a soooo cheesy toasties at a very reasonable price. We absolutely love this place!
