Great food and even better service. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming and the food was out unbelievably quick. Great experience

Gran comida... una de las mejores que tuve allí. Era mi almuerzo de cumpleaños y cuando mi amiga pagó, le avisó al miembro del personal de esto. Ligeramente decepcionado de que no se ofreció nada de cortesía como en años anteriores (un batido de leche). Sin embargo, en general una experiencia muy agradable.

Gran experiencia, buena comida. Siempre ven aquí cuando estamos en Westquay. Creo que algunas críticas son un poco duras, este lugar siempre está ocupado y la gente necesita entender eso.

Mala experiencia. Escaso personal y el personal que estamos allí parecía que no querían ser, comida básica que es muy caro. Fue pospuesto comiendo cuando vi al chef salir por la espalda mientras jugueteaba con sus moscas y luego procedió a verter una bolsa de papas fritas en freidoras sin lavarse las manos. El chef también tenía barba sin barba. El vaso en el que estaba mi bebida estaba sucio. No puedo creer que pagué £ 40 por la experiencia. ¡Nunca volverá!

Hace aproximadamente un año y tenía buena experiencia sin embargo en esta visita parece que el menú ha cambiado y ya no opciones para vegetarianos como había habido. El servicio era terrible y esperamos más de media hora para bebidas sin fondo. Nos quejamos ya que podíamos ver bebidas a un lado con hielo en fusión, pero les dijimos que no era nuestro! Eventualmente 2 de los 4 de nosotros tomamos bebidas, pero 2 esperaron hasta que habían comenzado sus comidas para tomar bebidas. El personal dijo que tenían poco personal, dijimos que no deberían haber aceptado a tanta gente en el restaurante si no podían hacer frente a la situación. ¡No volveré a ir!

Tuvimos una comida encantadora... ¡la mejor hamburguesa de allí en siglos! Greeter/Servidor muy amable. Sin embargo, no tener servicio de camarera cuando las comidas no son baratas es fuera de lugar!

Visita decepcionante. El personal desinteresado, ahora tiene que pedir en una aplicación o ir al mostrador y hacer cola, el servicio de mesa ahora es demasiado pedir. A unos 20 £ por cabeza para una hamburguesa con patatas fritas, también podría ahorrar 10 £ e ir a McDonald's ahora. No hay diferencia. Lástima que éramos habituales aquí. ¡Los batidos siguen geniales!

The staff, were slow and one that we were waiting for, decided to play on her phone for 10 mins. Wouldn't mind but didn't have a uniform on. Seemed very slow and even though the food was hot, I felt I could have had better value down the road. And maybe even a smile from a staff member.

Had a lovely lunch served by a new Server who was very attentive. The burger was tasty but it seemed smaller than previous times. Will return!

This was recommended to us for breakfast by a friend so we were really looking forward to it and it didn't disappoint. The waiter, Milk, was so friendly and helpful. Interacted really well with our 2 year old. The food was delicious. Pancakes, bacon & maple Syrup, chicken waffles & syrup and toast. All fantastic. £24 including drinks so excellent value.

Ed's diner was brilliant. Food was lovely AND amazing care to pay full attention to allergies. We have gluten free requirements and they were brilliant with handling and paid real care. We had cheeseburger, chips and milkshake. All delicious and service was great.

They seem keen to get you in but less keen to let you pay and leave. It's a quiet Sunday afternoon but the staff have been more content to stand and chat than to pay any sort of attention to the customers

Went to eat lunch with a friend, politely called over the waiter to ask if I could have the child's menu because of my small appetite he asked for medical evidence we left without eating lunch.

Really poor experience - burger tasteless and tiny for price, chips warm and hard and Americana tasteless !! Wasn’t asked once if food was ok , and felt a distinct lack of interest in the place ! For £40 for two burgers fries and coffees I’d expect far better - quality, quantity and service ! Sorry guys but you really do need to up your game across all areas ! Won’t be returning ( first ever visit) nor recommending !!

Disappointed felt overpriced for what it was, lacked taste and wasn’t particularly hot - chips hard and tasteless ! No one asked how food was either during or after and the americano was the worst I’ve ever tasted ! Won’t be returning or recommending !! £40 for two small burgers chips and coffees wey over priced for quality or service sorry guys but you really need to up your game !

Service was friendly but slow. Really disappointed with my meal. Had the chicken and waffles which was the tiniest main meal I have ever seen. 3 slices of chicken breast sandwiched between 2 quarters of waffle. The taste was good but at nearly £10 is was barely filling. I left hungry and feeling out of pocket.

I dined in at Ed’s Easy Dinner in West Quay Southampton this on 21/12/2023 and I must say I was very disappointed with the service. I was with a family member and we both ordered the £12.99 burger with fries each, and a Coke Zero each (under £4 per coke with free refills). Where the experience fell down short: - I told the waiter to please make sure the chips were hot and fresh out the fryer as sometimes restaurants bring them cold. The chips arrived cold and the waiter took the burger and chips back. When they arrived they had simply reheated the same chips so they were stale and even then only slightly warmer than before). Rather than using their initiative and bringing new fresh ones we got reheated old chips. To me hot, fresh chips are a big part of the meal so this ruined the experience for me. As it had gone back already and I didn’t want to spend a long time waiting I just ate them as they are. Even though they did not taste great. - When I asked the waiter for a refill on the cokes, after a long while nothing came and I had to ask another waiter. After another long while it still hadn’t come and I asked the previous waiter again, who finally brought them. This experience spoilt my afternoon having to chase waiters to simply get a drink. No apology or explanation was given. - Finally when the bill arrived, the waiter did not ask how my meal was or say sorry for any inconvenience or anything. - Staff need retraining on customer service. It was not worth the money I paid. I can only hope this feedback will help other customers not be treated in the way I was. In particular no customer should get old chips reheated or have to chase down waiters multiple times for drinks because they have been forgotten about. Customers can tell when food is not fresh and when they do have a good experience they will pass this on to friends and family by word of mouth (increasing the restaurants customer base) so it is in all restaurants interest to provide customers with a good experience. - The staff could have also been more cheerful! No smile and eye contact was often not given. A cheerful attitude goes a long way in retaining customers. Sadly, I don’t think I will be returning due to the poor service.

One of the tastiest meals I’ve had in a long time. The waiter was on his own but we were served quickly and the food was brilliant. Would recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Tucked away at the top of the Southampton shopping centre, my daughter led us to this Diner. She loves the place and wanted us to sample the milkshakes. The service was excellent - self order or waitress options. The food was swiftly served. It tasted as it should, literally no complaints. The sausage patties were superb, milkshakes wonderful. And generous portions. A meal for 3 which filled us up for the day - £43! I’m looking forward to our next visit!

Waited a long time for average quality fast food, which was then delivered tepid-warm. “Bottomless” soda refills were practically non-existent, as were the staff. The server was friendly, but obviously over-stretched.

I informed the server I had a dairy intolerance, so I ordered a vegan meal. I really did not want a vegan meal but it was the only way I could get dairy free cheese on my burger. That was not made clear to me. The vegan burger was gross. What made this experience a disaster was after I told them I could not eat dairy, because it made me sick, they served me a salad with a creamy dressing. I trusted it was vegan or dairy free, given that I alerted the server to my issues. Alas, it was not. I had to run out of the restaurant to make it to the nearest loo and was sick for hours.

Absolutely awful. Waited ages to be seated with loads of spare tables. Staff member didn't come over for nearly 20 minutes and asked what we wanted, by this time we'd already ordered on the app as it seemed impossible to even get a tap water! Food is ridiculously over priced for what you get, it was okay but wouldn't recommend to an enemy based on the poor servixe!

Visited mid-afternoon on a Monday, slight delay with the food (roughly 40 minutes for two vegetarian burgers). Service was good, very friendly waiter. Generally clean & tidy, no complaints from us, as the bottomless refills meant that waiting for a meal wasn't as strenuous, just fill up on Pepsi. One criticism, worlds smallest napkins. My colleague used about 30, not ideal for the rain forest. Better than the majority of the eateries in the Food Court, worth the wait.

I used to love eating here with my boyfriend, as it was one of the very few places I could eat desserts! However, upon my last visit I was made to feel like my SEVERE Peanut Allergy was nothing more than a 'fad'. I don't expect everyone to 'rally' round me and wrap me in cotton wool, but a little understanding would be nice...The last time we were here we sat down and soon realised that the menu had changed (meaning Peanut in nearly everything). My boyfriend and I didn't think much of it and got up to leave (without making fuss can I add), but were stopped by a waitress and asked why we were going. I briefly explained my allergy situation and was received by a shrug of the shoulders and "Well yh, we do have Peanuts here", as she turned her back to us and walked off. There was no "Let me check if the desserts are prepared separately from the main meals" or "Thank you for the feedback, we will take that on board". What was the point in her even asking? I was quite happy to just leave and eat somewhere else...I never moan about my allergy ever and if I just came out in a few spots, I wouldn't even be writing this, but I think food establishments need to realise that Peanut Allergies and Tree Nut Allergies are fatal in most cases.I emailed them about it later on, as I was upset that I was made to feel like I was making a fuss over nothing, even though I was approached about it and the reply I received was "We will send you a voucher for a free meal here". I'm guessing they completely missed the point...I won't be returning for obvious reasons and would warn those with allergies to also avoid... ohh and they never did send the voucher anyway.

Southampton really needs a decent, proper Anerican diner and done right it could be a goldmine! We only came here as Nandos was heaving and there was a wait for tables but Ed's had lots of free tables (which I now realise was a bad sign!) Food was OK, service was OK, prices FAR TOO HIGH! Great milkshakes though! Overall it's really not a bad place but my expectations were maybe too high. If it is going to be an American diner then it needs to take a good look at itself! Maybe someone should actually go and see one in America and they might realise that decor alone is not enough! And American diners are not all frozen in the 1950s!

Lovely staff and service , Ordered breakfast , sent wrong toast , and eggs full of broken shell , if you want full English don't go to American diner !! Shame as lovely looking place and staff friendly , let down by the chef

If you fancy a nice burger then I'd recommend going to buffalo bills round the corner, if you fancy an average burger then go to Burger King, if you want a poor experience and a bad burger go to Ed's Southampton.
