Eden in Newcastle upon Tyne

Vinimos a tomar algo antes de nuestra reserva de comida en otro lugar. mientras que el distanciamiento social estaba en su lugar y grupos de seis, es obvio que no todos son de la misma familia cuando todos tienen la misma edad, había dos o tres mesas así, no estoy seguro si está permitido, pero se estaban moviendo entre tablas que no es una buena práctica

Fuimos a tomar un brunch y cócteles durante agosto. El lugar está bellamente decorado con árboles y luces de neón, por lo que hubo muchas oportunidades para tomar fotografías. Recomendaría los árboles de cóctel, que eran un buen toque. Teníamos una selección de comida para compartir, incluyendo pizza, papas fritas cargadas, etc., todo delicioso. El personal fue muy atento.

Vinimos a Eden para tomar unas bebidas de cumpleaños y quedamos muy decepcionados con el servicio. Elegimos un día de la semana porque sabíamos que sería tranquilo. Llegamos a las 7:30 pm y solo había 3 mesas, incluida la nuestra. Parecía que había 2 empleados del bar en turno y el servicio era muy pobre. Nos sirvieron nuestras primeras bebidas y esperamos aproximadamente. 15/20 minutos para ser atendido nuevamente y nadie apareció, teniendo en cuenta lo silencioso que estaba. Sin embargo, la señora del bar parecía estar haciendo todo lo posible ya que nuestro colega seguía desapareciendo y parecía un gerente. Decidimos irnos debido al mal servicio, muy decepcionados: (

Reservado para el almuerzo mientras estaba en Newcastle, no demasiado ocupado y Covid mide en su lugar La decoración es encantadora, me encantaron los árboles y el ambiente. Opté por un entrante de gambas seguido de curry tailandés, los sabores eran encantadores, aunque un poco picantes para mí. Había sido tentado por la pizza de 2 pies, así que pedí una para llevar para más tarde, que estaba deliciosa. Amber fue muy útil. Recomendaría.

Un restaurante encantador, un personal amable y una bonita decoración por dentro. La comida era una porción de buen tamaño, llegó en 15 minutos y sabía bien. Definitivamente vale la pena por el costo.

I work within a team of girls and we sometimes struggle for time to bond as we are so busy in work time. I thought it might be a good idea to try all the restaurants in our vicinity. Eden is a 2 min walk from our store and the menu seemed quite nice. The surroundings are pretty and it is taking part in the eat out to help out program which makes a meal out way more affordable. Our waiter was Ray and he was exceptionally happy to facilitate me in all my requests. Firstly our party of 5 became 4 as one was sick. We were directed to a small booth opposite the bar area. I like a little more elbow room when eating and because we are not from the same family I also like a little more space to breathe. This was no problem to Ray! We were taken to a private little round with 2 smaller tables. This was perfect for us. It was slightly dark but I wouldn't argue over a light being out. I ordered the mac and cheese bites for starter, the burger for main and didn't have the delight of desert due to the fact that I had overlooked my husband coming into town. The starter was lovely, I would have preferred it with a more interesting dressing than mayo but none the less it was nice. My burger was served with a battered pickle which was probably my favourite bit. The burger was a nice burger, it sounded a lot more exciting on the menu but again for a few quid I'm not going to moan. I also had a porn star martini which was really good. I feel like I can't do this place justice as my time was rushed. I will come again and relax, I would have liked to have seen the rest of the restaurant and wanted to enquire about private dining rooms. I just ran out of time. All in all, it seems like a lovely place to meet up. The staff seem friendly, the food is fairly well priced. The decor is pretty and it's city centre. I'm just sorry I didn't get to enjoy the experience as much as I usually do. Next time.

The bar has made great efforts to social distance while payment amendments mean limited contact to others too. Staff super friendly, lovely table reserved for us and great martini tree! 🍸

I visited as part of Eat Out To Help Out, I had the buttermilk cornflakes chicken burger as my main and the Belgian waffle as my dessert. The chicken was moist and juicy and packed with flavour, but the chips were clearly frozen oven chips you can get from a supermarket. The Belgian waffle was fantastic, the batter wasn't too sweet so the toppings didn't overpower it, the serving was generous and the waiting staff couldn't have been more attentive. If the chips were homemade, this wouldn't been an easy 5*

had many lovely nights in here before lockdown. normally the service is friendly and efficient and there are loads of great offers. came in with a friend for a drink and all we could here were the managers swearing to each other in conversation. most people are accepting of swear words these days but as customers it made us feel uncomfortable on this occasion and we wont hurry back. respect your customers guys!

This is the first negative review I've ever written but I need to make people aware. I went for a meal with a friend service was really slow but I work in a restaurant myself so i understand its difficult at the moment. First both wine glasses had lipstick marks all over, then when the meal arrived they forgot the starter and half the ingredients were missing from the burger which they didn't make us aware. The whole meal was awful but my complaint is not about that, it was the service. When I made the manager aware he came so close to me I physically I had to say excuse me you are too close right now to which he didn't even move, at the current time it just can't happen. Once he understood the situation, he looked like one of the management staff, his response was 'well I don't really work on food'. During my time there I witnessed multiple tables being seated where the table hadn't been wiped down from the previous guests. This restaurant did not feel covid save and was not following social distance rules. Tables next to me were walk ins and they confirmed that none of their details were taken upon arrival. If there was an outbreak linked to the restaurant next week, no one would know as they wouldn't have the details to contact anyone!! I would not recommend anyone to visit its a joke how bad it is. This was a Tuesday night it wasn't even busy. Basic cleanliness at the moment, tables need to be wiped between guest, details need to be taken and socail distancing needs to happen. None of this happened during my visit, the meal was awful but the total disregard for any covid safty is my main complaint, absolute joke.

Very pretty venue. Our waitress Rachel was a diamond. Super friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. We were a group of 16 girls for a hen. We had a couple of issues with drinks and the managers attitude however they made up for it with complimentary champagne. Would recommend the place. We danced the night away and had a fab time

Visited for the first time with friends yesterday. We pre booked the bottomless brunch and we were not disappointed food was delicious and included as much bubbles or bellinis we could drink. Staff and service was amazing will definitely be visiting again!!

Went out for food on a Friday night in January when it was still 50% off the food. Venue looks lovely, door staff and the door host were great. The waiter that was serving us had a bit of a strange vibe, from telling / making us delete a text offering a birthday bottle of Prosecco in the venue in front of him, bringing us wrong drinks and wrong food twice until we finally got what we ordered to then putting his hand up to my friend when she tried to pass the plates to help him clear the table. The service all together was a bit ropey. Alright food, but wasn’t blown away. Music too loud for 8 pm, was very difficult to have a conversation without having to shout. 50% off was a great offer to make it value for money. Haven’t tried any pizzas, however they looked amazing, will be back to try those on a quieter day/lunch. Unfortunately won’t rush back for a dinner/special occasions.

It's your normal pizza, basic flavouring... However, the atmosphere was very nice and very vibrant. The services were average, nice server, basic service. I would go back for the drinks, but the food can do a lot better.
