Amazing for the money, so much food for £8! Nice sausages rather than the bland pink ones lots.of places serve, chips and hash browns are a bit much for me but this plate of food should fill up anyone!

Both meals were excellent, and we really enjoyed them, other than one meal didn't have any black pudding.

I often pop in Eddie's Cafe for lunch when I am working in the area and it never dissapoints. Great value for money, fast and friendly service and I've always been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The ham and mushroom omelette I had most recently had was very tasty. Can't fault the place at all, will definitely be back many times :)

Been using Eddie's for years and alway feel at home here. Everyone in the area knows of this place and love it including me. I can't say anything bad about Eddie or his staff but I my be just a little bias you would be to if you use this place for any length of time.

Went in to a another Cafe in Boundry road today and we left straight away. Then we found eddies. Lovely food and lovely staff . Would go again. Thank you

just the place to pop in for a lunch with family found the food reasonably priced and tasty . Very friendly and polite waiting staff too. Good value for money would visit again.

Delay in getting a driver which meant luke warm food

Had the lasagna today and it was fabulous

Popped in last night for some food and drink as their food is good ..... If they are serving it ! I was first to arrive as I was meeting a mate there at 8pm. However, arrived at 7.55pm to find the kitchen had just closed as "it's quiet tonight". The lady behind the counter was apologetic and offered a refund on my drink I just bought. My only advice is check if food will be on offer when you plan to go. Disappointed, we moved on elsewhere ..... Leaving the pub even quieter !

Just ordered via Deliveroo, haven’t finished eating yet but need to write this.. it’s so good! Portions are really good size, with this prices today you will get only half of it!! So much appreciative it. The food is fresh and rich. two pieces toast with eggs benedict like for 6.95£, lovely tuna jack potato also beautiful portion and my fav ham and mushroom omelette with beautiful fresh chips on the side, !! So nicely done, the best I ever had, big chunks of mushrooms and ham, thick delicious and moist. Prices 5* , Food 5* ( out of 5 ) x Thank you Eddie

We visited Eddie’s as the cafe down the road had run out of all baked goods and were mightily pleased. We had a super tasty home-cooked soup and a baked cheesecake that knocked the spots of any baked cheesecake I’ve ever had. Friendly, clean, good value, good service and new, unexpected dishes I didn’t know I’d love.

Smashing full English. Revolutionary idea using toasted baguette instead of normal sliced toast. Scrambled eggs done perfectly and all served in around 5 mins after ordering. Relatively cheap compared to others nearby

Unfortunately I’ll food fall out the bottom of the bag as the delivery driver handed us the food. The bags aren’t substantial enough for what we had half our food was all over my door step. When I phoned to let them know about there bags and half the food was Un eatable I was basically told it wasn’t there problem. Also missing items.

Everyone at Eddie's Cafe played their part in throwing a surprise birthday for my favourite Messy Tart. Great food and hospitality. Thank you all so much. No letter "Y" s were hurt in the making of this review.

Freezing cold a complete mess does not look apatizing

Been here twice and they’re really great. Prices are very nice and the service is honestly the reason I’m writing this review. The lady who takes the orders is always smiling and the owner is very friendly. The whole place is a pleasant place to have food. The food itself is great too.

Amazing food and really friendly delivery service!

Couldn’t fault the service or the food. Well priced toasted sandwich with salad garnish, nicely drizzled with balsamic vinegar, and crisps as well. Great little cafe, clean and well run.

I ordered two breakfast baguettes and recived fish and chips which the fish smelt off and the seagulls wont even eat. And when i called the cafe they said and i quote " you can come pick it up if you want its ready " even though thats not the point of ordering delivery and also they said "its not our fault the just eat guy went into the fish and chip shop take it up with them " yea thanks for that now waiting up 3 days for a refund when they could have dropped the food of themselves and saved themselves a terrible review. Save your time money and annoyance and order from the many other cafes around

The kitchen is very clean, the chief is a wonderfull mom of two her cook really does make a different ! i recommend this place more than much ❤

Was our first time getting food from here and it was a good choice, the guy serving is really nice & looks after you. Had fish and chips, it was all well done & cooked well. When were in the area again we'll pop in for lunch.

Great service, inexpensive lovely breakfast.

The order was very late; the restaurant advised the the driver ‘didn’t want to deliver’ as they ‘didn’t know the address’ & so they had to ‘persuade’ her to take the food. The app delivery status eventually switched to ‘delivered’ with no sign of the driver at our address. 10 minutes later (after I’d requested a refund from Just Eat, the driver appeared with our very cold breakfasts.

The food was great quality and the restaurant was very helpful and I would 100% recommend to anyone! However when it came to the delivery side of it, not only was my food nearly an hour late, but when I called the customer care team at first the woman who answered was helpful at first, then I politely asked if there was any sort of compensation I could get then she put me on hold and told me she was going to see what she could do and just hung up on me. Just thought it was quite rude to be honest.

Just ordered and had delivered a very disappointing meal from Eddie's. My vegetable spring roll and onion rings were burnt and our chips almost inedible. We covered them in our own curry sauce in order to eat them. They were small and like rubber Sorry but won't be ordering again from there

Nice food delivered on time and reasonable price

Unfortunately the tuna topping was missing from the jacket potato, however the owner went out of their way to contact me when they’d noticed the mistake and was extremely apologetic, explaining it was a training issue for a new staff member. This was excellent service in my opinion, and so overall I’m still happy with the service provided. Thanks for putting things right swiftly.

A bit of a letdown! Eddy’s usually yummy breakfast was spoiled by the late delivery as the food was cold & the chips had gone soggy!

I started ordering from her around two weeks ago, I'm so impressed with their food and prices, such huge portions, the food is delicious!!! The jacket potatoes are so good they always have lots of butter/Fillingham never scrimp when it comes to fillings, the fry up is a must have and today I tried the Chicken Nicoise Salad, it was huge, under £6 and tasted so good. 5 stars best cafe in Brighton and Hove definition my favourite.

So ordered two Baguettes one Brown and one white but when it turned up it was both orders white bread and not baguettes and my partner had to throw the bread away and just eat the filling. Had to ring up and I requested a refund and I am awaiting call back tomorrow from the cafe.

Great selection fish and heaps more on offer - even during lockdown

My new favourite local fry-up delivery. Everything on the plate was cooked perfectly. Thick, crispy bacon. Big fat juicy sausages. Hash browns crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Portion size was generous and food was delivered hot. I don't normally review but wanted to show some love for a newer place who haven't accumulated hundreds of reviews yet. Excellent all round. Give them a try!!!

I have made afew orders in the past it's been ok nice, but this time the chef out done there self. Even the beans was put in a different container for the first the time so chips don't get sight, and I appreciate the attention to detail. Food quality is perfection plump sausages crispy chips the bacon could of been crispier but I that's down to me not saying the food was even covered in tin foil to keep hot that's why I come to u guys you care about the customer thank you awesome.

The atmosphere is excellent and inviting with friendly staff the food however is questionable. I had a salad which was overfilked filled with olives and onions with vinegar which was not advertised (can't eat onions due to intolerance and hate olives and vinegar in my salad 🤢). The omelette was extremely chewy rather than soft as it should have been.

Fantastic! Really delicious food. There was a problem Just Eat's side and Eddies were kind enough to arrange delivery themselves and kept me in the loop the whole time. Will definitely be back!

Have just had fish and chips delivered from Eddie's fish and chips shop I have to say how good the meal is the fish very good with a light batter and crispy as well as the chips plus the food was hot when delivered so that made the meal even more enjoyable we would recommend Eddie's to anyone also there coffee cafe again good food and service so if your looking for good food and coffee then try Eddie's in boundary road

I love Eddie’s Great food, Great atmosphere, A true family run business Staff are really helpful, Restaurant is well light, homely decor, spotlessly clean, they really take pride in this Cafe, always on hand to help when needed, Good disabled access and bathroom Good choice of menu, selection of desserts, Very happy to cook off menu! The cafe is also licensed with a small selection of Beers, wines & spirits. Has a small outside seating area on the front, 12 seat private area for parties & family gatherings, I’d highly recommend Eddie’s either for a coffee with friends or a good hearty meal,

Having as Meal in Eddie’s Cafe first for a very long time. Eddies. Elsie and Maureen, back at Eddies after lockdown. Still a great eatery if your in Portslade. Still a great atmosphere and staff. It is well worth a visit. Haven’t tried the Chippy yet?! Next time Eddy!
