We booked last minute for dinner on the evening of Saturday 28th September. It was really busy and had a lovely vibe, lots of celebrations taking place as well as small groups. The food was excellent, I had the fish pie with French peas, it was delicious, unusually the pie wasn’t served in a dish but on its own surrounded by a fabulous light sauce. My husband enjoyed a pork, black pudding and apple burger topped with blacksticks rarebit, again delicious. The service was excellent, there truly must be a Brunning and Price University. Another fabulous meal, great service, lovely decor and relaxed vibe. Highly recommended.

We all meet for lunch twice a year, 7 of us. Always go to the Dysart. We have had many, many wonderful meals there. We, of course go for the company. Today I was very disappointed with my meal. Poached salmon @£22.95. The salmon was cold. The sauce it sat on was luke warm,as were the smashed potatoes. I was also extremely surprised at the very small piece of salmon on my plate. The service was very good as usual, the staff extremely pleasant and the ambience and company excellent. I did not say anything about the standard of the meal so as not to upset our afternoon. I did notice that my friend to my left had fish and chips. The fish was half its normal portion size.? Very disappointed today in the food standard. I hate saying this because we have been numerous times and I love this place

Our second visit to this beautiful country pub. Such a wonderful experience, pretty beer garden and exquisitely decorated pub. Food is absolutely delicious and the friendly attentive staff make this an unforgettable experience! They even made our little dog feel welcome and brought him some cute biscuits on a little plate. Set in a pretty village this is the perfect place for a stopover. You won’t be disappointed.

If you are looking for the perfect quintessential English pub that really delivers then make your way to the Dysart Arms!!. Perfect location in this small but beautiful village, plenty of garden tables overlooking a beautifully maintained English garden of flowers and surrounding fields, Lovely selection of beers and check out the Beer Fest end of July!. Quality wine etc and a perfect Sunday roast!, the beef was amazing, compliments to the chefs!!. The service staff were friendly and very efficient from the moment we entered the bar and the food orders taken and delivered perfectly. I even made an effort and wore my Chinos and proper shoes on a very hot Sunday afternoon because this place looks amazing but to be honest although I was happy to make the effort the place is super relaxed, wish it was my local!!. Actually the beer and wine prices were brilliant compared to many ordinary pubs!. The stylish interior decor and furnishings compliment this wonderful old building so well. There are many tables to cater for couples and larger groups but if the weather is not great and you are looking to eat then book a table in advance, it was very busy and many eating outside. Anyway, spoil yourself and try the Dysart, well done to the owners as well!!. As Arnie says, I'll be back!

We've just had a gorgeous Sunday roast here! Beautiful village setting opposite the church, the restaurant area overlooking the lovely gardens. Warm meet and greet and attentive, friendly service. The roast pork was lovely, complete with all the trimmings, nice, ambient atmosphere. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a Sunday lunch experience like this one. Recommended!

We arrive from pretty much all over the uk, once a year, to remember our friend who passed away suddenly a few years ago. He is buried in the church round the corner from the Dysart Arms, so we always book the pub for a meal and a few drinks. The staff at the pub are great. They can’t do enough for us and our kids. Great setting. Great menu, cooked superbly by the kitchen staff. Great choice of ales.

My wife and friend went today to celebrate their up and coming 60th birthdays. They were looked after by a lovely lady, from the North east I think by her accent. They were looked after superbly and really good banter in a professional manner with her . That goes along way to make the experience fantastic and lacking in a lot of places, obviously they judge each client individually and see how they like to be treated. As always they said the food was superb and my wife is gluten free which you have so much on your menu plus gluten free ales Thanks for making it a special day. Regards Neil Fallows

We had a couple of good, new to us, lagers. Lunch was excellent – a chicken schnitzel (which I think was the winner) and a lamb pie. The pie would have been nicer with pieces of meat rather than shredded bits. The pastry could have been lighter. The vegetables were excellent. Great service.

Visited here with parents whilst I was over from New Zealand. Service was very slow (it wasn'tthat busy). There were 3 of us, order placed at the bar as requested. Waited ages for food, a party of 4 arrived after us, got their food before us. It was only when I chased up the missing food order that it was bought out to us! My chips were not hot and burger was overdone. Will not be rushing back here, shame as it's a lovely looking pub in a quaint little village.

The Dysart Arms is in a small, picturesque village full of character. We went for Sunday lunch and it was an extremely enjoyable visit. Perfect every time! The staff are friendly, the service is always superb but a special mention has to go to the chefs! The food is incredible!!! Every single time! They vary the menu seasonally and it is always absolutely delicious! Well worth choosing one of the more ‘expensive’ dishes on the menu although everything is very reasonably priced. Such a cosy place to grab a drink round the bar and settle in for the evening! Thank you to all the staff- we love it here!

Been here a few time recently and happy to say they seem to have really upped their game in terms of the food and service, since I left my previous review I have been reluctant to give them another go but - very good to see it getting back on track, not quite full marks based on value - happy to pay the prices but the quality of the food does not quite warrant it. Old review….. “I live in the village, want and try to support this pub but it’s terrible -been three times recently and can’t work out why it’s so lacking compared to other pubs in the chain - it’s a local consensus I’m afraid.”

Booked for lunch and was immediately impressed on entering the premises, a quintessential English village pub. Was shown to a table which, albeit a warm sunny day, was positioned in a cool draught. On mentioning this to the staff we were, without hesitation, shown to a different, more comfortable position - excellent customer service. When the food arrived, both meals were delicious as were the 2 desserts that followed complimented by a refreshing pint of the OurHouse beer. A fabulous meal in a gorgeous pub in the most delightful village setting

Visited to have Sunday lunch. Very disappointing, one course very expensive comes out all plated virtually no vegetables sorry one carrot and a bit of cabbage, beef not tender lots of hard roast potatoes and a big Yorkshire pudding and very little gravy. Certainly not value for money and I suppose it is what you get when restaurants are part of a chain. Will not be going back and would not recommend.

We had chilli beef and the deep fried Brie for starters followed by the gluten free lamb hot pot pie and fishcakes. Second visit here, first as a pre kids party of 2, second as a family of 3, 2 yr old and 9 month old pup. Never had such a warm welcome anywhere before. The young bar and front of house staff are fantastic. Food on both occasions was delicious, well worth the day trip from Liverpool! Unfortunately, on the second occasion there was a horrid customer very aggressively complaining about not very much, other patrons felt very uncomfortable for the young manager , who dealt with it amazingly. Flabbergasted by other people’s inability to be polite, kind and honest. Anyhow, we’ll be back again , Dysart 💕

Family meet up for lunch. None of us are from the area or had been to the pub before. On arrival we were made very welcome and everyone was attentive but not overbearing. Half of our party got stuck in traffic and were 45 minutes...

My favourite antique outlet in the country. About an hours travel for me, but we'll worth it. Lots of free parking plus two cafes.

Not bad, but nothing special. Coffee is a bit disappointing and the service tends to be slow. Can't blame the staff for that though, it's the usual Alderley Edge clientele who hold everything up as they wait until getting to the front of the line before deciding what they want to drink - every single time this happens. Otherwise it's in a fairly nice spot and has outdoor seating.

Great service tasty food and great atmosphere, make sure you put your reg number into the tablet if you are parked on their carpark to avoid a parking charge

The Sunday carvery is great deal for the price if you go other pubs you are paying a lot of money for less. Cheap for a family to go. And have money left be going every Sunday from now on
