There for free weekly quiz, excellent fun evening with lovely host Kelly. Is a very nice pub, do need to return to eat soon.

We as 4 friends enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast , which arrived to the table piping hot , lots of gravy , beautifully presented. The portions would satisfy the most hungry ( 3 of us had the small /childs plate which was more than enough and would leave room for one of the tasty puddings on the menu) . Don’t hesitate to book and go , I’m sure you won’t be disappointed, thank you to the chefs and front of house staff .

The staff are very friendly and the food - Sunday Lunch, was good. I booked online not knowing the area at all, the outside of the pub is a bit rundown , but inside all is good, a bit cold but we were there at 12pm - we were hungry!

Lovely roast dinner, good service, nice atmosphere. Only downside was a slightly limited dessert choice. We are local so have been before and always have a delicious meal.

A disappointing experience. The range of vegetarian options is limited. The broccoli with chillis was delicious but everything else had something about it that didn't work weel - there was too much vinegar in the starter and too much sugar in the dessert.

Very clean very friendly and excellent breakfast . Stayed just one night, but would recommend and return. Staff very attentive and helpful.

Quiet, quaint pub. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming as well as being very attentive to our table. The food was delicious. Fantastic value for what you get! The beef roast was absolutely fantastic! I would 100% recommend coming here whether you’re passing by, on holiday or live in the area it id worth dropping in for a great roast dinner!

Myself and a friend happened upon this place by chance as we had chanced another place without booking first and they were full. I’m actually glad that was the case as this place was just lovely. We both had roasts she had chicken and I had beef. The meat was perfect, the veg was all my faves cooked to perfection and the Yorkshire puddings huge and fluffy. We had sides of stuffing balls and cauliflower cheese both of which were perfect. The service was also lovely we were made to feel incredibly welcome particularly by the lovely manager, Kelly. So glad we decided to take a chance on somewhere new, will definitely be back.

Terrible service. Mediocre food. Booked a double room and they phoned in he morning to say they only had single rooms available. Tried to order drinks from the Burns night set menu and was told to use the app, this was unsuccessful, in the end the manager just gave up and offered us the drinks. Overall though, this was an unsatisfactory experience where they obviously give the pub preference over the dining & B&b experience.

Could have been a lot better. No tomato juice, two chosen meal choices were unavailable & one incorrect meal served, took a long time to receive the correct one.

Six of us ate here on a Friday night. We were greeted with the news that half the menu was unavailable, as they had not received their delivery that day. Everyone was required to change their choice! This is not the first time this has happened to us...five of us really fancied fish and chips early one Saturday evening, only to be told they had sold out - that's great, but not good kitchen planning! That, coupled with the 20-minute wait for a real ale barrel change on a Saturday night, means this pub could do with some training. We speak as experienced publicans! It's a shame, as this is pretty much the only decent place in BoS.

I frequently dine at the Dunstan, always pretty good. And yesterday was also nice, but my chicken caesar salad was missing the chicken ? I was reluctant to complain ! The salad was lovely regardless !

Went for anniversary meal and our dog was made welcome with treats. Food was good steak was still little rare and asked for medium so if you have medium usually I would suggest medium to well done. Would have liked onion rings, mushrooms and peas perhaps but they were not an option. Pudding was good. All meals served were hot and didn't have a long wait.

Food was really lovely, my only complaint was the roast dinner's could of been hotter, but the fish and chips were perfect

We had an amazing Sunday lunch! The beef was tender and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. There was an alternative selection to roast dinner on the menu also. My Husband chose the fish and chips which he said was amazing.

We booked to stay at Dunstan House Inn through Booking.com to visit friends who lived around the area. We were unsure being a pub what to expect but, boy, were we happily surprised. The staff were so extremely friendly and helpful, especially Charlotte. The rooms were very tidy and modern, clean and had everything you would require for a few nights stay. This included an ensuing shower, lovely fresh crisp bed linen, good dark curtains, a superb tea and coffee tray and another tray with nibbles on which, if used, had to pay for but a really nice touch. Good wide TV wall mounted. Breakfasts were lovely, decent selection of hot food and a small table of cold food Including cereals, fruit, yogurts and pasties and juices. Service was friendly and efficient. Evening food was incredible with a fair selection of food choices. Value for money and would highly recommend.

Very good food, dog friendly and staff were very helpful and attentive. We sat outside, very comfortable and not too busy. The food was good and we had the Fish and Chips and the King Prawns on flatbread. Both very tasty and not too expensive.

Staff were friendly and really nice. 4 of us, 3 children’s portions (adults but not overly hungry) 1 adult portion, it was hard to see what the difference was between an adult and child portion except 1 extra potato and a whole parsnip for an additional tenner. Yorkshire puddings were big but on the edge of being burnt and not hot. Pudding was lovely but again on the luke warm side. It’s not hard to serve hot food!! It was ok and we were visiting the area but wouldn’t return.

As always great food and helpful staff. The pub was packed (for a wake) but the staff were still very helpful and fast (despite being totally run off their feet) and food was lovely. Very dog friendly too which is great - highly recommended

A very disappointing experience. The ambience was nice and the waiting staff friendly but the general quality of the food was poor. Starting with the positives the starter and the trout main was good. However, the Dunstan Burger looked as if it had been pre digested and was basically a very stodgy unappetising lump and the fries were not hot and very dry as if they had been reheated. The fish and chips were no better. The fish was overcooked and almost liquid inside the batter and the chips were exactly the same as the fries so very few were eaten. This was pointed out to the waitress who apologised and cleared the table but nobody came to discuss so we paid and left. Very unlikely we will return as this is not the first time we have had a bad experience which is a shame as there is much to like about the Dunstan but not the food.

We have met here a few times previously with family as it’s half way for us all. Today we met again for the Christmas menu on 27th December and it was brilliant! Christmas set menu for the adults (preordered) and they gave us a children’s menu on the day for the kids. The food was great and served to our timings and the service was second to none. They offered us meat leftovers for our doggos (who were not present) and then also provided us with little bags of dog treats to take home. Will definitely be returning!! Thank you for a lovely Christmas lunch x

We went as a family of 8 for our lunch Christmas Day. The staff were lovely and they didn’t rush us at all. Asked if we wanted a break between courses etc which worked very well. The food was fantastic and arrived at the table piping hot. All in all an amazing experience. The only points I have are, we paid a lot of money per head (£90) yet some of the bits you’d expect were missing. Firstly a Christmas dinner without pigs in blankets. No desert offered for my granddaughter, she would have been happy with a scoop of ice cream. Then at the end of the meal no offer of coffee and mints. The nice touch we did receive was a gift of a chocolate bar wrapped up on the table, but again 8 people and only 5 gifts. But theses are not at all negative comments just our point of view. We will definitely book again

4 of us had Sunday lunch. The roasts were very good however no crackling was offered with the pork, and the cabbage needed a few minutes more cooking for our taste. The desserts were excellent, as was the service. We enjoyed our visit.

Sunday lunch was delicious, however we were seated in the back room next to a very large noisy party of adults, they would crowd near our table when talking and they were so loud I couldn't hear the person whom I sat next to

A fantastic find for dinner, dog friendly, great staff and all our dinners were really tasty. Would highly recommend. The only thing I would suggest is to offer a doggy menu - chicken, sausages etc and a bowl of water.

Stayed one night staff were excellent from checking in to the restaurant/ bar staff, eat in the restaurant weather outside was horrendous small menu but the food was excellent. Room was nice, very clean good value for the money breakfast included, would stay again if I was in the area.

Such welcoming staff, both members of staff on duty were open and welcoming. They confirmed dogs were allowed and asked chef about cooking two sausages of our dog we after our evening meal the dog could have hers. It was so refreshing where it says dogs welcome that they really were. Our evening meal was well cooked and nicely presented.

Dropped in on the way past. Bright and sunny Sunday night the outside was busy. Select to sit in the bar area. Was advised of a 30-minute wait for food. Selected the Tomato salad for starter. Did not expect it to be warm do not think it said that on the menu. Pork loin dinner selected. It was all tasty. Whilst waiting the kitchen advised they would not be taking orders for some time approx 45 mins in order to catch up. During this time many still wanted to order. Have to say the food was good and exactly as ordered. Worth a visit perhaps at a not-so-busy time if that is possible.

I can't recommend this amazing place enough. Fantastic pub with incredibly helpful staff. The food is beautiful and is incredible value for money. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. We are not local to this place but if we do come this way again we will definitely be back.

This was my 2nd visit having had a delicious steak meal here a year ago (when I gave this establishment 5 stars) On Saturday 2nd September, four of us (2 couples), booked in advance and three of us wanted the sirloin steak (like the one that I had a year ago). They had no sirloin but offered us rump steaks instead. We ordered and the 4th person in our group had fish and chips. All 3 steaks were tough and chewy and worth no where near the £25 each charged for them. The fish and chips were lovely. The staff were lovely and professional. The whole evening was spoiled by those inferior steaks. The bill came to £196 for the four of us. I have given the 2 stars for the staff. (and took a star off for each awful steak). Sorry Dunstan but you can’t get away with charging top end prices for poor quality steak.
