Dunelm Pausa Coffee Shop And Cafe in Cheshire West and Chester

I have PTSD i go here to give my wife a break, from me I all ways have tea and toast. The ladies are really nice my go to place when am having a bad day.

Absolutely awful service I went to the cafe to have a tea and coffee with my mother she was getting food I have severe allergies so brought my own sandwich a member of staff rudely came up to me stating I was not aloud to eat this within the cafe. I have been many times and brought my own snack as my mother loved it in there . The member of staff then proceeded to talk about me to her colleagues thinking I couldn’t hear her. Absolutely disgraceful and last time I will be back.

Appalling service. Staff are very slow and it wasn't exactly busy. Staff training might be a good idea. Queued for the best part of 15 minutes to be told there was then a 20 minute wait for a jacket potato. Just ridiculous. I had an almost identical experience the last time I came to this cafe approximately 6 months ago. I shall not bother returning for a third visit. It's a shame as the food and drink is good quality and a good price but the appalling service completely let's the place down.

TRYING to do a review for Pausa Cafe, Dunelms, Swindon, but this one in Chester keeps popping up! Sorry Chester! We often stop at the Pausa Cafe after a long walk. On more than 3 occasions we've had to return dirty crockery given with our pots of tea. Our last visit (and most probably the last visit) on Monday, we were told there were two choices, tea or instant coffee, so we both went for the tea. Again, dirty cup. I then went to use the toilets which had a large sign saying "do not use". It is a LEGAL requirement to provide toilets when serving food and drink! I can't believe a company such as Dunelm have such poor facilities.

Not my first time here, but having read some of the previous reviews, I just had to put pen to paper as it were. I found the cafe clean, bright and welcoming. Very friendly, helpful staff. The coffee can be a bit hit and miss, but overall is OK. The breakfast rolls, bacon, egg, sausage etc are excellent and good value for money. Try it on Sunday morning if you can find a place to sit. It's absolutely packed. So someone other than myself and spouse like it.

Chester Greyhound retail park. No-one at the service counter but a couple of staff milling round. Eventually a lady appeared, walked across in front of us, fiddled with the coffee machine and then turned to ask what we wanted. Very abrupt. Took our order and started to make the coffee. By this time there were a number of people behind us in the queue. I counted around 6 members of staff and still only one behind the counter. Eventually another lady appeared and took payment from us. I ask for a receipt and she told me quite rudely that they did not give receipts but she could write it down for me (as though I was too thick to remember how much it cost). The reason I asked was to check whether we had been given the offer displayed behind the counter. She was very unpleasant so I didn't feel I could ask for full details. The food was actually quite good. While we were eating several people were given cups of tea rather than a pot and 2 people were given paper cups. One lady questioned this and was told that the dishwasher was broken and they were washing things by hand. She said it was making their skin wrinkly!!! Poor lady was made to feel it was her fault, Another man asked for a tea spoon and server sighed and glared at him. Floor under our table was very dusty. Previously went in there for coffee about 4 years ago and had similar experience - was hoping that was just a one off but obviously not. Won't be going again.
