The two young guys that served us had such an attitude. We asked for a chia latte Frapp and they said we don’t do that, yet any other Costa you go to does as it’s just a hot one blended with ice. Eventually one of them said okay, but rather than blending it, just poured it over ice. By this time it had been over 15 minutes, we just wanted to get out of there. Taste was mediocre after all that. Avoid!

The young queens in Costa Coffee have such attitudes. Asked for a chia latte but asked for it as a Frappe, guy says we dont do that…but thought they could do any drink, it was like i asked for the first born! This is the type of people costa employ, downhill from here.

Good location, lovely staff, however the last 2 times, including today, I have eaten here, the chilled/heat food has been cood in the middle and I've had a dodgy stomach afterwards. As a business traveller,I eat at a large number of these type of outlets weekly and this is the only one I've consistently had issues with afterwards.

Ordered bubble ice tea. Was very warm and tasted horrible even after adding ice

Great location, fair value for money and thought the service was friendly and excellent., They even found me some oat milk.

Always stop here but this time the self serve screens were in operation. No hot chocolate listed so went to the counter to place order. Stood and waited for them to start our drinks, they did ALL screen orders before our counter order, badly done Costa.

Had the most awful tasting coffee here. Also ordered it drink in and it came in paper cups. I know things are sometimes slow on a Sunday Etc but it came quickly enough. Maybe too quick. Good coffee in cups shouldn't be hard should it...disappointing.

blonde lady on till was very rude. lady in front said she was waiting to be served and staffed member sucked her teeth. she then served me and gave me my panini and muttered something under her breath. As i walked away shouted across costa “are you not going to thank me then”. i have never been so appalled with any service in my life. horrible experience.

Never ever in your life take the mango frappe. THERE IS NO COFFEE!! It's a disgusting, awful, disgraceful and just disappointing milk mass that cannot even be called a milkshake, and even more so a frappe. Dissatisfied. Service was nice.

Really bad experience. First the guy on the speaker took our order incorrectly and ordered us the wrong sizes and type of milks of our drinks - oh well will still drink whatever we are given not the end of the world- but then the quality of the drinks were appalling. Cappuccino and latte both tasted so watery and strange tasting. They almost tasted burnt/ stale? And we had ordered syrups which were untastable in the drinks. Basically given a cup of hot water! They were both un drinkable. Very annoying when you’re paying £10 for two coffees that you can’t even drink. A reminder to go to small businesses and not chains where the people who work there don’t care if you enjoy your drink or not

This Costa has quite limited opening hours for a motorway service station outlet and as such it's usually closed whenever I stop off at Chester Services. We recently stopped there early afternoon on the way home from dropping off a daughter at Manchester Airport so for once it was open while I was there. Normally I'd go for a strong coffee but on the occasion I was feeling a bit under the weather so I ordered a hot chocolate instead. It arrived in good time and was perfectly acceptable. I drank it while slouched on a comfortable sofa so I can't complain too much.

Called in on the morning of the 8th and I was greeted by welcoming staff, the young lady was polite and cheerful and the young man making the drinks was extremely pleasant and chatty, such a refreshing change in this day and age. Even though they were busy they both took the time to deliver the perfect customer experience. Much appreciated

I made a error when ordering today but the staff that were on where lovely, they never bothered and made me the drinks that I wanted even though it was my fault and they had already started making the wrong ones. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they did it with lovely smiles on their faces, well done Costa for hiring these two cheerful people.

I stopped for a much needed coffee this morning on my way home from work. I was served by a lovely lady, who was chatty and overall a credit to Costa. Her conversation, along with coffee, perked me up for my onward drive. Refreshing to be served by someone with a personality.

Went to drive through as we were in a rush but the coffee fell far short of the usual high standard we normally get in the service cafe. Cappuccino was only half full and was terribly weak and my soy latte lacked the vanilla shot I had ordered and paid for. Won’t be using the drive through again.

Always impressed at how friendly and helpful the staff are here. Not all Costa’s are the same, I usually avoid them because of bad service else where but the staff in this Costa have made me review my opinion. Thank you.

Awful. Slow. Dirty. Staff don’t know what they are doing. It was a free for all. Didn’t know where to que to get my coffee. Wasn’t given my cake and I had to ask for it. I waited with my children for what seemed like an eternity until a little girl with headset and glasses ?? Came and took control. Ran by kids and they looked tired and fed up. Tables were dirty and not much in the way of food. All customers in que were also fed up, and to top it off my beans were not added for my own cup so you owe me 2 beans. I’m so annoyed I have set this account up to let everyone know to avoid and have put in a complaint to Costa coffee

Great coffee Great service Good clean seating Well maintained BUT THE PRICES! motorway prices, I get but highway robbery! 2 everyday cups of ordinary coffee should not cost over £6 - ever! I would have been happy enough to have paid £2 per cup which I think is acceptable under the circumstances

Costas generally are great for vegans but they seem to have changed their non-diary milk which makes the coffee not so good. Please Costa change back to your previous supplier for us vegans. Other than that - staff polite & friendly.

Service at this Costa is absolutely farcical 5 staff on, took our order warmed our food forgot to make our coffee, then put the wrong milk in my drink after waiting 5 min for them to make it. They don't give you plates or normal cutlery to eat your food on/with, they gave my wife a paper bag to butter toast on. This will be given a wide birth next visit.

In all honesty, just like you would find at most motorway service stations. Service was efficient and staff friendly.

Went in here poor girl tried to serve me. She was rushing to bathroom, being sick.. said they would not let her go home ..shame on you Costa. If she had a bug, she would infect anyone she served.. More compassion needed there.. Treat your staff with respect.

Not come across a review opportunity for this costa until today. We have stopped here many times for a comfort break on different journeys further north. We like the costa coffee plus some of the snacks they produce. Always a little expensive but you know what to expect. At times it does get quite busy and you have to queue. Staff are always friendly and helpful on our visits. Plenty of tables around. Places outside during the limited sunny months !!

Slow staff untrained. Not knowing what there doing. Can't handle a que. Serving qué jumpers. Coffee tastes rubbish here. Go MC D's next door cheaper faster and tastes better

If you want to feel totally ignored visit this Costa. Get the feeling that you are totally insignificant by standing at the front of the queue whilst they serve everyone around you. Never again!

I always stop here on the way to north wales but will find somewhere else as it is always freezing cold in this service station . Can’t sit and relax without arctic clothing There is a Starbucks on the A55 which is cosy

Staff change, attitudes and service remains friendly. Could be more efficient, but then that's Costas. Been coming here for years and will continue to do so for many more.

It's a Costa at a motorway services. Not that different to all others. Yes good coffee. But not cheap.

Stopped here on the way home from visiting family and the staff were not happy to see us. Paid £4 for a slice of cake that had hard bits that had gone off on it not the greats experience

Great place with lots of eating places under one roof. You can also buy clothes here, and if you are a forager, at the right time of years the bushes and trees give plenty of fruit and berries.

Staff as unfriendly and lacking in interest as ever! I am going to stop going there now.

Not anything I would go back for, the drink was alright but took 5 minutes to make a simple drink some how and then try to charge me and extra 50p for having cream. Just go get a pret right by the entrance, better than this place.

All we hoped for was a lovely bacon roll and a drink a 7.15am yesterday. Very quiet at that time BUT EVERY TABLE MARKED AND DIRTY. No pots but just not cleaned. Had to ask for one to be cleaned it was left soaking wet had to use my own tissues before we could use it. The whole eating area needed a good clean. Tables should be wiped with tissue and an anti bacterial spray EVERY TIME AND THE FLOOR BRUSHED AND CLEAN. Staff behind the counter surly and totally disinterested. Have sent a long letter of complaint to Costa but not expecting it to change anything.. Visit the one at Next Handforth Dean Cheshire. Spotless, very pleasant staff and the bacon rolls perfect. Get your act together Costa.

7 people serving. Long wait for no apparent reason. Unfriendly service with staff too busy arguing between themselves or taking about their weekend.

Got a all day breakfast bloomer. What you expect from Costa really. Sub standard food with ok coffee. Service was good.

Took 2 minutes to order two drinks despite not being busy at all. Given wrong drink no apology. Couldn't understand foreign barista. Just to top it off, my drink was basically hot water...

Visited on the way home from Manchester Airport. Asked for a decaf americano and a decaf cappuccino. Was told they had no decaf, so changed the order to a bottle of water and cappuccino. The photo shows how it was presented.

Leaving Snowdon had a break and needed tap water for my meds. Lovely lady got me it no questions asked just helpful.

Visited with my daughter who wanted a frappe. Although they appeared to be training new workers, everything was done quickly and efficiently and frappe was nice even though it was the most expensive thing on the menu

I've lost count of the times we've called at this Costa. After all I am a Whitbread shareholder !. I would have said that Costa is Costa is Costa - same old same old but today my opinions have been changed. This Costa has a new Manager who goes out of his way to properly guide his team to provide swift, effective service. But more importantly this is a Manager who actually appears "out front" and is keen to ensure his guests for that is how he treats customers are happy. I've been to many, many Costa outlets and never even seen a manager let alone be made to feel welcome by one. Well done, you are a star, keep up the good work.

Just finished a refurbishment which now is more user friendly. Nicely decorated and far more space. The coffee has even improved you can now actually taste coffee, no longer like a hot milk drink with chocolate sprinkles!

Much improved cafe area, better seating, much more customer friendly. Has all the usual coffee's and snacks.

The tea was like 4 sips for £3.50 so had to buy another one from the machine outside spar which was much better

We do not usually stop at motorway services but when Costa are there we know we are on a safe bet. We stopped for lunch.We had the Mozzarella Panini which when heated became a juicy sticky treat. We followed with a Belgian Brownie and a lemon bake and rounded off with a splendid Latte.

Angry staff and the coffee gave me diahorrea

So so coffee even compared to other Costa outlets. Staff sometimes seem a bit slow and disorganised.
