Within the Dunelm Store. We had a coffee and hot snack before finishing our shopping here. Reasonable priced, food what what we would have anticipated, It felt much more like a works canteen rather than a cafe. The service was unwelcoming. Having said all that it served our purpose

A pleasant cup of coffee, it was just a shame that when I was served by a particular server (2 occasions), there was no eye contact, no personable effort made whatsoever. Quite rude. Additionally, they really need to fix the door in the cafe, way too loud, it slams every time someone walks through to use the toilet or staff area.

Really nice cafe set within the Dunelm Mill store. Never too busy and a great selection of very reasonable pastries, cakes, bacon/sausage bap etc. Great coffee, good service. A real gem of a place

Whilst having an excellent coffee and sausage bap at the Dunelm Store at Rustington, I was able to enjoy a lovely experience on a quiet Monday morning. The staff in the coffee shop and on the shop floor were really friendly and very welcoming. The atmosphere with all the staff, both towards the staff and the customers was a joy to listen to. They were all really bubbly and pleasant to each other, while all appearing to know each other. The store must be a lovely place to be a member of staff and to work for, given what I witnessed. Keep up the good work, you are lovely people. I will certainly return. 😊

I can’t understand the previous reviews of the cafe being a rip off. Try finding anywhere else local that would do a cream tea for £3.25!! I only marked it down 1 because there seemed to be a limited choice of cakes and savouries compared to the past but our visit was straight after the weekend and BH. Nice cafe, friendly service, pleasant atmosphere and clean tables, never too long to wait either. The cream tea is clearly labelled with tea or Americano and I would understand at that price that it would extra to cover the costs of extra milk to make a latte or cappaccino. Very tasty and my wife had a cheese and ham toastie with a side salad, crisps and cup of tea. All of this for £9.25. I don’t think you would find this amount of food served in any cafe for cheaper, with no loss of quality either. Recommended just to visit the cafe alone. Plenty of free parking and clean toilets too

I ordered 2 cream teas at £3.25 each which came with a tea or an americano according to the advert. I asked to swap the tea for a decaf tea and the americano for a latte and was told there would be an extra charge. My total bill came to £10.49!!! I would have been better off ordering g the scone and drink separately! I expected perhaps an extra 50p for the latte but tea is tea. Never again; how can these prices be justified??? So please be very careful when changing your order at this Dunelm - you have been warned! I for one wont get cheated again! When queried, young man just shrugged - rude and incompetent

This was my first day in a Cafe since March. Was so, so nervous, as immunosuppressive. Well, I can’t praise this Cafe and Staff enough. Tracey took my details for Track and Trace. And I will now download the App. She was so reassuring to me. Asked me where I wanted to sit to feel the most safest. Although, no one else came in anyway. Great Self Distancing set up, and Hygiene. She really couldn’t of made me feel more at ease. As I think she could see my Anxiety. But, in all honesty. It was so much better then feared. I felt relaxed, and quite safe. The other lady (I’m so sorry, I’ve forgot your name) was just as attentive as Tracey. I truly couldn’t of been any better looked after. There is without no doubt, myself, Mum&Dad will be back very soon. And make this a regular visit, to get me out. I can’t thank you both enough. You truly deserve a Medal. I felt very privileged. I hope you’ve both been recognised by your Management, of how hard, and patient you both are? And how well you are keeping to the rules? Looking forward to seeing you both soon. Tracy, Angela and Colin. X PS. I am in no way related to, or have investment in the cafe. This is a genuine, high Anxiety disabled person. Who was terrified to go out again. Faith restored. Thank you.

Met my sister here this afternoon about 3 for a cuppa. As you walk in to the cafe,it truly couldn't look worse. The floor had areas of food just laying there. The upholstery is just filthy. The loo is broken. I can only wonder at what it's like behind the scenes.I had to attract the attention of the girl behind the counter, even though there was only my sister and I at the counter. The pot of tea was cold. The Capuchinno was cold. Although there was hardly another soul in there, she couldn't be bothered to bring the tray of just 2 drinks to the table, when it was ready. There were only perhaps 4 people in there when we arrived and after 90 minutes, another 3 customers had come in.Not a great selection of cakes (2 pre packed gluten free offerings) and crumbs on the shelf where the cakes had run out. The girl behind the counter and the other unseen girl in the kitchen area were singing, loudly. It didn't overly matter but it was unprofessional and,had you have been trying to have a quiet or serious conversation, would have been unwelcome.I spoke to the girl behind the counter about the state of the place and passing complaints on to the manager (she assured me I wasn't the only one!) but she wasn't interested in taking my name and phone number. She said that the 2 of them were very busy behind the scenes...I pointed out they won't have jobs if things don't improve IN FRONT, where the Customer is expected to sit. I asked to speak to the store manager on my way out.A very pleasant young man.To my amazement he told me that cleaners go in the cafe every day! Really ?? He said they are waiting to get the upholstery cleaned...I assured him that it was WAY beyond cleaning,it needed replacing, and that any sensible cafe business would build this occasional overhead into their prices. He made all the right noises about passing my comments on...but I'm not optimistic. Dunelm, like so many businesses trying to keep prices down, don't employ true "Managers" as such. They just take a willing member of staff, pay them very slightly more than the rest, and Bingo! you don't need to employ an experienced, suitably trained,Manager. They really don't deserve to stay in business.

The cafe is in the corner of the store and is nicely appointed. Food and drinks have always seemed reasonable, getting served can be a chore. Staff are friendly enough but the system seems to be at fault. One staff member takes orders, makes the drinks and seems to prepare to food.

We're quite new to the delights of Dunelm stores. They are full of wonderful things that you didn't know you needed. The big bonus in Rustington is the café (we haven't tried other branches). It has an enticing selections of cakes and best of all some really good gluten free choices. They also understand avoiding cross contamination with utensils etc which is vital for Coeliacs. They even have on occasions included the gluten frees in special offers. We now stop when passing and in need of refreshments.

Have visited this cafe 4 times now and yes the food and quality is good and enjoyable. However, on each occasion the service has been painfully slow. If you just want a coffee and anything on the counter that's fine, but ordering food from the kitchen is hit and miss as to when it will turn up. With only 7 people in the cafe yesterday all having counter food only, we thought we would be ok for time but no! Only ordered two bowls of soup, waited so long had to ask staff about it. Eventually came and was luke warm so had to send back. Waited another ten minutes.Soup was lovely but had to rush it. Seems to me there are only a couple of young people doing it all (serving, clearing tables and cooking) and finding it difficult to cope.Dunelm is a great shop but they should look into this

I often call in here - either for late lunch or, more usually, for tea and cake. There is a good selection of snacks - paninis, sandwiches, toasties - and a nice range of cakes. It’s good value compared to other places, the staff are pleasant and it always looks clean. Although I only ever see one member of staff when I visit, the tables are always kept clear.

The staff need more training! The food, when it finally arrives is ok, what you would expect to be honest. I had a baked potato coronation chicken which was tasty, but the salad was very tired and not appetising. I have eaten here 4 times and twice they haven't had what I've ordered, despite it still being advertised. The staff were somewhat lack luster and slow!

I have been here on many occasions and have never been disappointed. The only reason I have never left a review until now is that, not being an actual restaurant, I didn't realise it could be reviewed! This is a relatively small coffee shop within the Dunelm store serving sandwiches, toasties and a varied selection of cakes and pastries along with a good selection of coffees and chilled drinks. It is wheelchair accessible with loos just off the seating area. On every single visit I have found the staff to be helpful, welcoming and eager to please. The whole area is always spotlessly clean and I cannot recommend it highly enough. On second thoughts, I'd better NOT post this review - there might never be room to get in again!!

Whist visiting Dunelm to buy things for our home, we noticed tucked away in a corner near the tills, the store's cafe. Upon entering, there was a good selection of rolls, sandwiches and other snacks to be found on the left hand side. There are plenty of tables and chairs and everything was very clean. The prices all look to be value for money, and, as parking is not a problem it certainly would be worth popping in should you be passing.

I'm really pleased to have a branch of Dunelm in Rustington. As it's on a retail park there is plenty of parking which encourages me to pop in to check new stock whether I'm actually after something or not. I rarely come out empty handed and bed linens are my downfall. I have also purchased kitchen items and it seems that no matter what colour scheme you have in mind they will have things to suit. Their on-line ordering system is helpful as I have found that usually they have far more stock - colours, sizes etc. - than just what you might see on the sales floor. I have used their made-to-measure service for curtains and have been pleased with the quality and finish. It is usually my first stop for household needs.

This is a good place for a break after shopping. We go there regularly. It doesn't pretend to be a restaurant but what it does do, it does very well. Everything is very fresh and well presented. Do have a coffee - it's really excellent! It's their own blend and you can even buy packs to use at home in a cafetiere. Cakes are also lovely and very tempting! Their best asset are the staff - very friendly and efficient. Next time you're shopping, give this place a try - you won't be disappointed!

I called in last week while shopping at Dunelm during the quiet time between lunch and afternoon tea. There is plenty of seating and the decor is nice and relaxing, without bright lighting. The menu is snack items - paninis, sandwiches, soup, jacket potatoes, breakfast baps...and quite a selection of cakes. My panini was very tasty, as was my traybake cake. the staff were all pleasant and helpful and everywhere was clean. The following day I returned and tried the chai sponge cake - it was a bank holiday and quite busy but the staff were just as efficient and pleasant, they kept tables clear and clean and still found time to ask if all was ok.I've given four stars - I know the menu is limited to snack items but I visited hoping to buy a cheese and tomato panini and a cake and, for me, they delivered.

Left it to the last minute for sunday lunch then remembered this pub, had one cancellation so managed to fit two of us in. Staff really welcoming, the atmosphere was lovely like stepping back in time in this beautiful old pub , had a table in the restaurant, one roast beef & one pork belly which we couldnt fault, a lovely selection of vegetables, followed by two Apple crumbles & custard complements to the chef. We will definatly be back soon. Thankyou.

Went today for a couple of coffees, after waiting 5 minutes some young guy who had been folding napkins eventually wandered over looking most disinterested. I asked for 2 coffees and he said ' can't do hot drinks '. No apology or reason why. Needless to say with 2 other places nearby, West Park and The Waverley, where you feel welcome will not be coming back here.
