Dudley's Bakery in North Norfolk

Normally very good. But today the scotch egg was so hard. Not nice. I suspect it was an old one got left in error. Also the cheese straws had no or very little cheese. Sausage rolls were OK. Very disappointed. I guess its because Cromer is very quiet at the moment.

The BEST bakery in Cromer if not the whole of Norfolk . Such a wide choice of absolutely delicious food . I always struggle to pick what I want to try next . Highly recommend . Treat yourselves to something special .

Great bakery, lovely products and happy staff.

Bought a Belgian bun, loads of icing which I don’t usually mind but it tasted like damp ( like if you leave a damp newspaper for a couple days in a cellar) and the bun itself was very dry the outer part was actually stale like tap it on a table. I might’ve just got unlucky but wouldn’t go back

Since we moved to Cromer 2months ago we often buy quiches and pastries for lunch. It is great with friendly staff and always lots to choose from

Ordered some baguettes and rolls. Asked to wait outside on wall and will be brought to us. Waited 25 minutes, order never showed up. Queried, after a larger family who ordered after us got theirs. Turns out that family, had our order as well as their own! Staff was rude, didn't want to resolve and argued that we hadn't waited that long. Finally got refund (not full). Would have been better to take a name or give a number to save confusion. Definitely won't be visiting again.

Ordered our food from quite from a staff member who looked like they couldn’t be bothered. Waited 25 minutes for food and turned out that a family who had ordered after us had mistakingly taken our order. (Why wasn’t there a name or number added to the order??) When we went to tell staff they couldn’t care less and even questioned whether we really had waited 25 minutes. No one wanted to take responsibility and barely even got an apology. Finally got a refund after much pleading and couldn’t get a fresh order as they had not got half of the stock needed. Not impressed and wouldn’t go back again.

Filled Norfolk Pittas are a must 😀

We were put onto this place by a couple of friends , so first off we tried the big breakfast bap and I must say it certainly is great value for money, today I tried the big breakfast baguette it was definitely big certainly bigger than the bap but I must say I preferred the bap, next on the list is the big breakfast pitta. UPDATE: The big breakfast pitta is the one!

Our kids love to get a sandwich to take home from here, the ranch/bbq chicken is a particular favourite of Henry's!

Reasonable prices and lovely and clean.

We were in Cromer for the day after staying in nearby Thetford at the Forest Holiday lodges We saw this bakery and it was like your typical old style bakery you used to visit as a child. We brought cakes for our family and enjoyed them with a cup of tea when we got back to the lodge. Great selections. Good prices. Friendly staff. Thanks !

My family has shopped at this bakery for many years at previous locations, and the quality doesn't disappoint. I visited the shop tucked away behind the church for a takeaway sandwich and cake. The price was excellent and better than many coffee shops in the area that sells something similar. Make sure you drop in and see for yourself!

VERY NICE CAKE AND SAUSAGE ROLLS ON SATURDAY. CAKE WAS PREWRAPPED AND DID NOT CONTAIN A LIST OF INGREDIENTS. PPDS LEGISLATION CAME INTO FORCE IN OCTOBER, SO YOU MIGHT WANT TO REVIEW YOUR LABELLING AND PACKAGING.

Fantastic baked goods. We didn't have a clue where to go when we arrived on holiday and noticed this little place sold sausage rolls, pasties etc and they were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend

It’s always a good sign when people are queuing outside to buy lunch. The queue went down quickly ( it was partially due to COVID regulations) & I placed an order with a very friendly and efficient member of staff. We had 4 baguettes made to order & 3 bottles of drink and 2 shortcake slices. As advertised the fish finger baguette took 10 mins to make freshly & all orders swiftly delivered to us in the sunshine. The order was correct & food delicious - the bread was amazing. My family already want to return - thanks very much - we are looking forward to sampling other food next time!

Had an absolutely amazing breakfast roll here, could not fault it. Beautiful fresh bread displayed in the bakery along with all the sweet and savoury treats you could think of. Everything looked delicious. To top it all off the prices are outstandingly cheap for the quality of the food. What a hidden gem 😁

The Norfolk crunch bread is unmatched! Vegetable pizzas also delicious, can't comment on any of the meat options :) Everything is at a very reasonable price considering it is a local bakery.

When we're back in town this is one of our regulars. Fantastic seeded norfolk crunch bread made fresh everyday. Just love it!

Dudley's Bakery is located in an attractive town near the seaside, surrounded by a large number of other shops. As soon as we passed the threshold, we were amazed by the amount and variety of baked goods that were displayed on the shelves. It was no simple matter to choose from the wide selection of pies, pastries, and breads. From every case came the heavenly scent of the steak and kidney pies, the custard tarts, and so many other delicacies. The prices were excellent and the cashier was cheerful. The entire experience had us all wishing we could move to Cromer.

After reading reviews, we actually came to Cromer specifically to visit Dudley's. We were not disappointed! As advertised, they had an unbelievable variety of baked goods to choose from. We ended up trying just about every pasty available, two bags' worth! The steak and kidney pies, sausage rolls, chicken curry pies, beef and vegetable pasties, and absolutely all the treats we tasted were delicious! For dessert, we particularly enjoyed the apple and cream turnovers and the jam and cream pastries.After this wonderful experience, we would most definitely make another trip to Cromer for Dudley's!

Found this gem on a previous visit to Cromer, but only after we had bought the food we needed; had it at the top of the list this time round, but missed out on day one as we weren't away of the mid afternoon closing time.Huge choice of pie/pasty/sausage roll fillings (need a bit more space for those who need to window shop), very impressed that the lady serving suggested we bought a large egg custard tart as it would be better value than the two medium sized versions we asked for.Visited on more than one occasion during our trip to top up supplies

Wonderful produce and friendly staff. The filled rolls were immense. 1 small niggle. Salad in a roll should be more than just lettuce and tomato. It makes a cheese salad roll a CLT?

On holiday in West Runton so decided to have a day at Cromer and just wanted a sandwich for dinner, what a great place we found, staff were so helpful and friendly and the sandwiches were amazing.

We always come here for lunch when we are in Cromer. They do sandwiches, pastries and cakes, as well as bread loaves as you would expect from a bakery. They have a selection of sandwiches made up, but if you want a different filling then they will make it for you while you wait. The cakes are amazing - they do my favourite chocolate oat cake, so I am very happy whenever I can have it!

You just have to try the cakes and loafs here. They do sell savory though we have yet to taste them.Every time we go to Cromer we have a coupe of visits to Dudley's bakery some of cakes are lovely flavored and tasting tray bakes, biscuits and tarts. The staff are very friendly and helpful and bread is amazingly fresh. It is a must....

We went here a few times on our holiday and tried various things; pork pies (good), scotch eggs (good), goat's cheese quiche (ok, lacking in goat's cheese!), mini eccles cakes (no good, all pastry), full size eccles (good), Cromer cake (good).

What a great bakery,prices are reasonable,staff very patient( when you mislay your purse) pleasant staff,delicious cakes,the apple flapjacks scrummy.as a visitor I shall be back visiting this bakery again.also very clean well stocked shop.

We found this lovely bakery behind the church next to the farm shop . We bought a selection of pastries, pies and quiches and Bread Fresh out of the oven and still warm, this place makes delicious bread , it didnt make it home we had to try it whilst it was still warm , sitting outside gazing at the pier,

This bakers was across the road from a small apartment we were letting for the long May bank holiday weekend. We popped in on arrival to get cakes to go with coffee before we unpacked and could not believe the choice of bakery items. The cakes we bought for coffee it was delicious and we returned the next day to buy home-made Scotch eggs sausage rolls pies and cheese straws to see us through for the weekend. This may seem a lot but that’s the problem with this bakery everything on display looks so delicious. And it is.

I've been using these for granary loaves and rolls for years but recently discovered their home-made pies. Chicken, bacon (?) and stuffing, chicken and mushroom and pork, apple and stilton are all superb.

Popped in a looking for something for lunch. Impressive selection of items, in particular savoury selections including a variety of different sausage rolls fillings and pies.

Was looking forward to buying baked goods from Dudley’s while spending two weeks visiting Cromer and so disappointed in my purchases. The cheese scone was heavy and doughy and a quarter inch unbaked. The chocolate eclair was burned on the bottom and pastry was not light and crisp, the same with the pastry on the spinach and ricotta turnover....biting into both collapsed the pastry into one layer of thick, tasteless dough. These three items had excellent eye appeal which doubled my disappointment! However, the cherry walnut cookies were crisp and delicious.

Best bakery in town! So much choice. Girls are great in there. Very well priced for the quality!
