Came when it was super quiet.. lacklustre service, overpriced mediocre burgers that read better on menu than the reality Overall - I’m sure it’s ok for cocktails or whatever but food is overpriced for what it is.. way better places around

Went on a Wednesday, which was really quiet but still really nice. Good food, friendly staff, good drinks. Definitely would go back again.

It took a few minutes to find the very small entrance (look out for the board outside), but this upstairs bar is worth finding. Nice atmosphere (Friday night) and a friendly greeting. It seems that people book tables, which we hadn't, so we sat in a bit of an odd place near the door, but most of the seating and tables were nice. We only had drinks which were fine. Not a massive selection of beers but different from the normal run of the mill selection. Definitely somewhere to try, and ideal for a drink before the theatre, cinema or a meal out.

Such great value for money: the drinks were varied and the platters were generous and fresh. Had a relaxing, fun afternoon and would definitely recommend.

Was here for a pals Birthday drinks and it was a top time. A really fun laid back atmosphere, friendly staff who treated you like family, and cracking drinks. A top time.

I attended a bottomless brunch. We weren't told we'd be sharing our reserved table prior to arriving which would have been nice to know, we didn't know we'd be interrupted by a bingo that didn't actually follow the rules of bingo and the food was literally cheese and crackers. Other competitors have more substantial food such as pizza, thier cocktails are better decorated with cute accessories and the staff are much more welcoming. They seemed to have thier own rules that were very poorly communicated. It's the little things that make a good time and this was underwhelming. A friend of the staff was also allowed to bully my table into leaving early. Management was not receptive to concerns raised. We were hoping for a fun easy atmosphere which wasn't the case.

Myself and my friend attended duck and tipples Disney themed bottomless brunch today, having never been to one of the brunches before we weren’t sure what to expect but they completely went above and beyond our expectations. The whole event was so well run. All staff were so helpful and attentive and the effort put into the day was so amazing . Drinks were delicious and food was great . Such a great day will definitely be returning for the next one !

Was excited to try this place after a recommendation but was a bit disappointed. Service was very slow despite not visiting at a busy time. A few items on the cheese board were not as described- the chilli jam was just strawberry jam, the manchego was definitely not manchego and I think they used Wensleydale instead of the Stilton we asked for.

Really wanted to like this place! Felt like it had potential to be a great spot but was really disappointed. We waited a long time for our food and when it did come it wasn’t right. I got a cheese board that was served with strawberry jam instead of chill jam, the cheese we ordered was wrong along with the bread. The people I was with ordered chicken burger and chips and the chips were burnt. We also had to go and ask for the second coffee we ordered because they forgot it. The place had a good vibe and maybe we went on a bad day. Lots of potential but from my first experience not sure I’d return.

D&T is the best bar in town! The staff are fabulous, the drinks and food are next level! I’ve been coming to D&T for bottomless brunches for over a year now, and there really is no other place that can beat them! The attention to detail is impeccable- from all the staffs product knowledge and their friendliness right down to the music playing; creates the most amazing, welcoming atmosphere and adds to all the occasions!

Me and my girlfriend went here for late lunch/early dinner and had a lovely time. The food was quick and very well cooked. We had a caramelized onion camembert, a bean burger and the el jefe burger. exactly what we wanted. would highly recommend.

Cocktails are great but food was a disappointment, I have book and paid for food in advance for as I was going there with a group of 15 people. I had to ask for the food, which they had forgotten I had ordered . the food cost £104.80 for 2 large sharing platters which was ment to feed 16 people, to say it was a let down was under statement. there was just enough for 8 people we also ordered 4 sharing natchos which was just about enough for us all. when I questioned the amount of food I got told that's all you get, so I won't be rushing back

I absolutely love Duck and Tipple. I've visited for cocktails before a night out many times, but this weekend I finally had a bottomless brunch there and WOW!! Such good value for money with delicious cocktails and a great range of food boards. The staff were all super friendly and very patient when we had questions about the ingredients in all the drinks. I have been here many times in the last year and I can say it is my favourite bar in Basingstoke. Always feel welcome and the staff and friendly. With a great range of food and drinks, I would recommend to everyone.

Another excellent experience at the Duck & Tipple! From cocktails to craft beers they have something for everyone! Friendly staff who are always willing to help and the food is excellent. Would recommend to anyone!

Arrived at duck and tipple after a bottomless brunch in Basingstoke, and we were met by an unfriendly and quite frankly snobby attitude. When we arrived we were not greeted as expected as just normal people trying to have a good time. We were told that we basically may as well go because they had a brunch coming in shortly and service would be slower, despite this we decided to stay. Upon going to the bar ask asking what beer they had on draft the bar staff responded with “you better try it first because we don’t sell Wetherspoons beer in here and you might not like it” which is just downright degrading and no one should be spoken to like that especially by someone you’re trying to buy something off of. Honestly I would just go to spoons because it’s a much better atmosphere and doesn’t have the snotty and awful atmosphere that the duck and tipple has, which is quite frankly ridiculous for a pub in Basingstoke.

Great selection of cocktails and quick service. The only downside is that sound really carries making it hard to hear the person sat next to you! The place would certainly benefit from sound boards along the walls to flat the noise.

Not overly busy, but it took quite a while to get served. The bar staff weren't too knowledgeable on their cocktails, not knowing what was in one at all. Relatively small establishment and able to hold a conversation without shouting at the top of ones voice, which is nice, but enough background music/noise to help with an atmosphere. It does also boast a table tennis table to have a game on.

I ordered a few drinks for our group, near closing time on 4th of Feb. One of these was a small red wine for my gf, where I was charged accidently for a LARGE glass. Paying by card, I didn't even notice. The bar tender gave absolutely excellent service when he checked the payment, noticed the mistake and pointed it straight out to me as I returned to the bar to pick up another drink, He apologised and poured us another large red to compensate. This was really honest, thoughtful, and the sort of customer service that guarantees that we'll be back! Thanks.

We went to this place on Friday night based on a friend’s recommendation and to our surprise it is one of the amazing places in Basingstoke to dine in . The cocktails and the food was amazing especially the El Jefe burger(if you love something spicy). The staff was amazing very friendly and lovely people. Would give it 5 stars definitely. Good atmosphere, food and drink

Love the quirkiness of this bar and the staff are really helpful and friendly. The drinks are varied, if on the slightly higher price side, but there are some games available to play. Recommend the bottomless brunch or popping in for a few cocktails on a weekend.

Went for Bottomless brunch with a friend today, the table we were assigned was split by a large square of plastic, which reminded me of prison glass. They said we could move to the other side to a high table and stools which was fine but a little uncomfortable. The rules of the brunch were explained so quickly it was impossible to take these in, I went to get my friend another drink and there was confusion and I ended up paying for another (this was later refunded), however I feel I was spoken to condescendingly and made to feel stupid for not quite understanding to process. If you go, make sure you bring the empty glass to the bar or you won’t be given another drink. Cheese and meat board was nice, nothing outstanding. The venue itself was gorgeous, really nice decor and good amount of space. Personally don’t feel it’s worth the money so wouldn’t return unfortunately.

Really enjoyed my drinks and food and the ‘vibe’ of the place. My wife and I played connect 4 and other board games while we waited for the food and it was just generally a great vibe!

QUACK QUACK CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK! Absolutely phenomenal evening at the Duck and Tipple. I arrived at 8pm with my ex wife and daughter and we were greeted by the lovely Morgan. He let me stroke his beard, it was so soft and fluffy and felt like a duckling. He made us feel extremely welcome and demonstrated ducking good service, by hanging my coat and quack pack up for me. He kept waddling over to ensure our cocktails were shaken to perfection. Well, duck me! I had a brilliant evening and didn’t get home until the quack of dawn. Bottomless brunch was excellent

This place has such a great atmosphere the staff are so friendly even the bouncer greets you with a friendly smile and has a chat. The cocktails are delicious and the bar itself has plenty of nice seating areas. Nice to visit day and night.

Nice drinks, decently priced, nice atmosphere. However it markets itself as a nicer more intimate place to get a drink whereas in reality when my boyfriend and I went there it was so loud we couldn't hear each other speak. Saturday night though so not really the staff's fault.

Just been for bottomless brunch after having been here for the same previously about 2 years ago and have to say very disappointed compared to the last time, Cheese board was OK and cocktail choiceis varied but they aren't great, very small and bit low quality, staff were quite off and in general compared to last time which was 5 out of 5 this was absolutely 2 out of 5 won't bother again.

Great choice of food and cocktails are excellent. Sometimes when crowded it can get rather loud so not ideal for a quiet drink some days, otherwise a trusted go to for afternoon drinks and a bit to eat.

Very nice place, not too busy, and have board games for a bit of fun. We had the Siren Lumina Points (£5). Nice IPA. Seems like more of a cocktail place, but I'm not a massive cocktail fan. Worth a visit, but don't expect any commercial larger - local beers and real drinks, not a bottle of Budweiser or Fosters in sight (thank god).
