Dog & Partridge in Windsor and Maidenhead

What a lovely pub. Service was efficient and super friendly. Food delicious, especially the cheesecake, so light and fluffy. Good value too.

There were 9 of us for lunch along with 2 dogs - who also had a little bowl of beef each on the house! Great service and food choices, really nicely decorated, lovely setting. Toilets were nice and clean, only 1 for the ladies though but I still wouldn’t mark it down for that! Will definitely be going back 😊

Very good food and portions larger than expected. For starter I had the humus and pitta bread and thought the humus was very tasty. The D&P burger was excellent with a good chunk of tasty meat. Not often asked "how do you want your burger cooked". Only one very slight criticism is that the waitress was slightly too quick in clearing away plates. But not to the extent that the meal felt rushed.

We had an amazing meal here. Very well looked after by the staff. Atmosphere was warm and friendly. Quite possibly one of the best burgers I've ever had. Fresh burger meat so was able to have it cooked to my liking. 4 of us had beef burgers and all agreed that they were fabulous. Can't wait to go back.

If only I had taken a photo of my food . We visited Friday evening , a buzzy atmosphere , nicemusic in the background , candlelit tables . My husband had the D&P Famous Burger which was wonderful as always , I had the Duck Breast on a bed of noodles with pak choi , it’s was incredible good & cooked perfectly . The staff are super attentive & we now consider them dear friends . I would recommend to any one wanting a couples evening to a large gathering .

Lovely Sunday lunch - roast beef and roast chicken both delicious with crispy generous-sized Yorkshire puddings, extra gravy if desired, fresh veg cooked perfectly (no overcooked veggies here). Good choice of starters too - we enjoyed the scallops on risotto, and the pan-fried Squid in lemon juice. Great dessert menu and we had light and delicious sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream; Peanut butter baked cheesecake (not for the faint-hearted - huge! but our daughter devoured it all!) and, overall favourite, Apple & Berries Crumble with macadamia nuts and custard served instead of ice cream at our request. Nice French Merlot and Rioja by the glass and we were pleased to see 125ml small glasses on the menu. The main thing to mention however is the incredible friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The service is worth several extra stars if that were possible. All in all a really enjoyable lunch - even our dog was offered his own bowl of delicious roast beef!

Great evening celebrating fiends birthday over the weekend . Nice atmosphere with a lovely range of food and G&T on offer . I had the John Dorry which I would highly recommend. Thank you D&P team for a fab evening and the extra mile you went with the birthday cake .

This was our first visit to the pub on a Sunday. We absolutely enjoyed your Sunday Roast, the chicken and Yorkshire pudding were really nice. We were served by Sarah and she looked after us really well, and she is very nice and caring. Highly Recommended village pub and we shall be returning for more Sunday roasts, drinks, and the excellent service.

Service, food, atmosphere and price are the 4 pieces of the restaurant puzzle. Ideally they’re firing together. Occasionally one’s weaker, but if others are stronger it can still work! Welcome to the Dog. Great food at a great price, quirky interior with awkward to blunt service. Until last night! Service was typically rude, with the addition of an hour+ wait for food and when it did arrive it was bland and lifeless. Suggest you don’t accept bookings if you can’t deliver the quality.

I went with friends yesterday evening for dinner. I have to admit that I am never disappointed with the excellent Staff/service and food. I ordered Spinach, sweet potato with coconut curry and rice and Naam bread. I honestly never had a curry like this before. It was outstanding delicious/marvelous. As well the home made Naam bread. I think Some Indian chefs could learn from the Dog and Partridge Chef. Will go definitely back this Sunday for dinner and I will have the chicken curry. Looking already forward to it. Lovely family run pub. Cosy setting. Great food and always a very varied choice of menu satisfying meat lovers and fish and vegetarian alike All the staff are very friendly and it’s always a pleasure to eat here

Fantastic meal again. The service was excellent, and the fixed price menu provided for the very tasty meal. The current price of this menu is good value at £19 for two courses, and £24 for three courses. As I have said previously, the service is unhurried, with no expectations of wanting you out for the next sitting. We will definitely return.

Totally excellent customer service with fantastic meal. Can not fault the time spent with family as team was brilliant. Great food and atmosphere. Will be back again soon.

We absolutely love coming here for Sunday Roasts. It came highly recommended by a friend a few years ago and we have visited many times since. The food is always amazing and never disappoints, the cheesecake is also always highly recommended ! The customers service is always fantastic, super friendly and accommodating and they are really really dog friendly which means our two poodles always have a lovely visit. Thank you for another lovely visit. Would highly recommend.

Family run pub in Sunninghill that is well worth a visit. We go every month or so for something to eat. Also just for a drink now and again, although the bar area isn't so big. The restaurant seating is large and there is an alfresco area too - really good in the summer. The food is very good and is obviously fresh and kicked to order. Hightly recommended.

This place is always one of the best we have found for all round service. The food is great, and I can recommend the fixed price menu, as we have now pretty well worked our way through it. Tha staff are always friendly and attentive. And the place itself is warm and welcoming. See you again very soon. Thank you 😊

What a fantastic afternoon we had on Sunday 5th November to celebrate with family (20 of us) for my husbands 60th birthday! The food came on time, was delicious and hot! The service was impeccable and all the family (a lot not from this area) said how impressed they were! Staff were super accommodating too. It was a wonderful celebration and a great place to host! Thank you to Tomasz and all the staff. 10/10!

Upon entry, we were very warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Once we had settled, we ordered drinks, then looked through the menu. We decided on the fixed menu as it had a really good selection. You can have 2 courses or 3. We had 3, The food was very well presented, delicious, plentiful, and excellent value for money. The staff were courteous, helpful, and, although attentive, did not rush us at any point. A big thank you, and well done to you all. This was our first visit, but it won't be our last.

Food and service was very good. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Portion size was fairly big. Pudding as in sticky toffee Pudding was delicious. Would go again shame as weather was fairly incremental and world cup rugby final place was rather deserted for a Saturday evening.

We enjoyed a quiet Friday lunch at the Dog and Partridge. The pub had a good choice of food and drink. The staff were friendly and the food was good. There is plenty of room, but they have made it feel cosy. Parking is a bit tight. Recommended.

I am always really happy to go to the Dog & Partridge. It's dog friendly, it's nice quiet neighbourhood pub with amazing food and staff. Sundays are great because they give the dogs a beef dinner which they scoff really quickly. The food choice is great and their cheesecakes are insanely good. I just wish I hadn't developed a dairy intolerance! it makes me sad, because they really are the best. I highly recommend the Dog & Partridge. It is one of my favourite places to go and eat.

Very slow service. 45 minutes from due arrival time to food delivery. Was difficult with hungry young family. Pub was not particularly busy mid afternoon but clearly kitchen could not cope. Roast lamb is on website menu but not available. The food ordered was delicious though.

Fantastic food, friendly service and a total surprise for a restaurant somewhat off the beaten track. A must try are the Mushroom Dumplings as a starter simply delicious.

A great place for a relaxed meal and always great food, but the regular failure of their ability to take cards has become extremely annoying, especially as they had no issue taking card payments during the pandemic!

Can’t recommend this establishment enough . The team at the D&P are always so welcoming and either if you dine in like we do a lot or even a take away it’s always fabulous. The gastro pub has a lovely atmosphere inside and a beautiful courtyard garden which makes you feel like you’re abroad in Spain. If you are after a lovely local with good food , drinks and a relaxed atmosphere look no further . Look forward to being back again soon.

As always, the D&P never lets us down. They were very flexible with our booking plans, the food was delicious, the atmosphere relaxing and good for our pooch + the staff are lovely with a great attention to service. The home made cheese cake is a treat to look forward to every visit.

Excellent pub! The food was terrific and the service was spot on. I have to eat Gluten Free and couldn't believe how many GF options they had on the menu. I had the GF Squid and the batter was sublime. The GF Burger was amazing....

Accommodated my big party of 35 after Royal Ascot. The pub & food was excellent and the staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend will be definitely rebooking for next year.

Beautiful pub recently changed hands. Very busy evening mid-Ascot week. Food was gorgeous. Well presented, piping hot and good sized portions. I had the Salmon Wellington which was served with sweet potato fries and asparagus. Very attentive staff and a great atmosphere. Reasonably priced too. I would highly recommend.

This was the best pub meal we have had in a long time. crispy yet fluffy roast potatoes, light crispy Yorkshire pudding and tender meat all contributed to an excellent Sunday roast. The chocolate, rum and raisin cheesecake was to die for! Excellent service, excellent food and lovely friendly staff. We hope to come again.

Lovely people and a great place

A great place with awesome food options and ambience. We went with our friends and really enjoyed the great starters and the main course (we had grilled Salmon with mashed potato & veggies and Thai Chicken red curry with fried green peppers). The staff were amazing and friendly !!

Vegetarian Sunday Roasts are a must! Warm, cozy restaurant where dogs are welcome. What more could you want!

Good food and exceptional service. Great ambiance too. Highly recommended. We had lamb shank and fish and chips, both were very delicious. Dessert was very yummy but be warned it comes in a big portion!

Hidden away in residential streets this is a restaurant with a bar rather than a pub. Bright geometric interior layed out with spacious tables. Three cask ales on offer and the one sampled was in excellent condition and well presented. Menu is heavily biased towards fish, which we had for lunch. Extremely tasty. Service is a little aloof and odd problems paying by card meant had to pay cash. A little on the expensive side.

10/10 - The D&P was recommended to us by locals and did not disappoint. We rang to book a table and the person at the end of the phone was warm and welcoming from the outset. We were given our choice of open tables upon arrival, and had good chat with the serving team. The gin and tonic specials were strong and tasty. We decided on skate wing and lamb mains - both were flawless. The skate sitting in a parsley and butter sauce, and the succulent lamb in a zingy house chimichurri. We had no space for dessert, but enjoyed a couple of glasses of port. The chef is obviously sourcing his meat and fish from good sources. Can't fault the venue. Food, drink, venue and serving team are 10/10. Thanks for a great value and extremely well cooked supper.

The Dog and Partridge is at the end of a long, narrow and winding residential road. So don't give up, you will get there. We visited after a recommendation. They serve nicely prepared and presented food. We didn't have starters, drinks, mains and deserts. The mains were nicely proportioned and well made, the desserts were generous. The wine list is limited, but good and the red wine was served at the right temperature (not too warm, which is a common failing). It was worth the visit.

We enjoyed a superb and relaxing birthday lunch. The ambience was great, the food was sublime and the portions were very decent (see the pork chop). Save room for desserts, particularly the salted caramel cheese cake and the pistachio and custard tart specials.

Such a cute little pub. There is an amazing atmosphere there and when there is live music it's absolutely fantastic. I only went for a drink but was definitely a great way to spend the evening. It is dog friendly which is why I went and it's a place where there's a lovely buzz. It's a local gem and I'll definitely be going back.

Good atmospheric pub with tasty food. There were plenty of options and they catered very well with an excellent range for people with coeliac disease. The staff were friendly and coped reasonably well with two boisterous two year olds. The children's menu, although small, looked just as tasty as adults food. We sat in the garden, which had good cover if it should rain. Overall a great pub to eat at.

What a fantastic place! An unassuming country pub tucked away at the back end of Sunninghill. Fantastic food (lamb rump highly recommended; cheesecake too), friendly and accommodating service, and very reasonable prices. Will definitely be returning soon.

We went for Father’s Day lunch, the staff were fantastic! Really friendly and helpful. Couple of little niggles, the vegetable were a bit undercooked in particular the parsnips were rock hard.

We have eaten here for years, Always amazing food and great service with a smile! The landlords def know how to loon after you and cook amazingly tasty food every single time!

I'll definitely go back. I loved the place, the decor, the atmosphere, the service and the food. Is not cheap but it is good food and I'm OK with the value. I had the veggie risotto, crab cake and cheesecake. Everything was tasty! Highly recommended as long as you are willing to pay a bit extra for a nice meal out.

Fabulous Sunday lunch today in celebration of my sister's birthday. Great experience from the initial booking, making a couple of changes beforehand through to getting a call the day before to see if we wanted to reserve one of the roasts. The service today was first class, not easy with fifteenth of us, and the food was fabulous. Couldn't fault anything (and I'm a bit of a picky customer generally).

I'm afraid I have to down grade my 3 star to 1 star after this evening's visit. On a work evening out with 10 people in total and at least half having food. Got told my a member of staff we were being to loud!! Their biggest spending cover of the evening and to be treated with such disrespect. Unfortunately won't be frequenting this establishment again.

A group of 7 of us descended on the Dog and Partridge for after works drinks midweek. The staff were very accommodating and rearranged some tables and chairs so we could all be seated together. There was a nice atmosphere and we even had the delight of live music courtesy of a wonderful singer / musician. It wasn't at all intrusive so we could still enjoy the lively conversation in our group. As the hours passed by the place became busier but we never had to wait long to be served at the bar. I was even very impressed that the member of bar staff who served me had remembered our groups previous drinks orders so was able to help me recalling what I needed to order when it was my round! A great evening and I'm looking forward to returning!

Having lived locally for nearly 3 years, had surprisingly not visited this pub before. Party of 8 on Saturday. The food and service were fantastic. Our waitress was lovely and extremely helpful. There was a huge variety of choice for both vegetarians and non vegetariansWill def return
