Dixie Arms Hotel in Leicester

Lovely hosts, staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a lovely very large double room with en suite. There's a lovely bar and a restaurant that serves good quality food . Would highly recommend to friends and family.

Dixies is in a fantastic central location within Market Bosworth. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. The food was sumptuous - cooked to a very good standard. I want to give a special mention to Kuba too, who looked after us during our meal. He was polite, welcoming, engaging, and attentive throughout. He is a credit to Dixies. Thank you Kuba and team!

First time visiting. Had some lovely pub food, very welcoming with our children and the chef went above and beyond for my girls. One is super fussy and only likes plain pasta with cheese. And I have a 14month baby with a dairy allergy and the chef went out his way to get our little girl some soya milk and cooked her some pancakes for pudding.

What a lovely homely hotel this is ,run by Alex and James,and lovely kitchen staff served us with our choice of breakfast ,we found this little gem on line.We were visiting the town to go and watch Tom jones ,(amazing by the way)Alex greeted us upon arrival with her huge smile 😃,showed us to our room ,room lovely and large,en suite ,all clean with gleaming white sheets .On arrival back in the evenning we were able to get drinks which we did and ended our night with local guy Kev,Alex,James,and gorgeous Alfie the pug shared my crisps ,it is a Italian resteraunt with lovely authentic food ,and also other choices ,amazing Sunday lunch served also ,James then showed us underneath the pub via cellar ,absolutely fascinating large function room ,and loads of history ,so old and interesting past ,you can book it for private parties etc ,and no one would even know it was there.We felt so comfortable staying here,felt like we had know them years and will def return and visit some of the fantastic places in Leicester.It was spotless every street so much pride obviously by all who live there.Until next time Alex and James we owe you a 🍸,tell Kev look out for Kevin the Carrott xxxxx

We had booked a table for 21 after travelling on the Battlefield Line Railway. Alex helped to sort out the booking as we had to pre-book. And then Amy took the list of meals we would like. We were a bit late as the train was a little slower than expected. So the occupants of the four cars arrived at different times. However Amy was so very helpful and organised, it was lovely and she helped us sort out a pre-ordered menu. Considering we arrived 45 minutes late and the food had been precooked. It was good. The fish and chips was obviously cooked when we arrived and was by far the best meal. however everyone had a brilliant jolly time. A Christmas get together for the wider family and other good friends. We enjoyed our time together and Amy was an absolute legend. She Thoroughly needs promoting. An absolute star.

We were the only couple in the restaurant on Dec 6th and ordered two pizzas. After 25 mins were told the kitchen were “just serving up”. After another five minutes we were told the pizzas just needing “turning for a minute”. After an overall wait of at least thirty five minutes we eventually got the pizzas. The pizzas were fine but the length of time waiting in a COLD room spoilt the evening out.

My partner and I visited the Dixie Arms for a birthday celebration. Despite the restaurant area being relatively empty (usually a worrying sign in my eyes) we had one of the best meals in months, and it was really great value to boot. I LOVE carbonara and am very picky about what makes a good one so to say the Dixie Arms's is 5 star really means it's pretty decent from my perspective!! My partner had a pizza (ham and pineapple, not my first choice), and he claims it's one of the best H+P pizzas he's ever had. I've taken his word for it! Anyway, the staff were attentive and friendly, and we had a brilliant evening. Recommend anyone to try this place!

We visited for a family meal and it was very poor. Pizza was very basic and soggy in the middle. Chicken was dry and the pancetta was just ordinary thick cut bacon. The side salad was brown and shrivelled stunned they thought it was servable. There was only one other table in so they were not busy. We would not return

Although it was a pub, really nice Italian food, we complimented the Chef. Very convenient as we stayed at the Bosworth Hall Hotel, a shortcut through the car park to the pub.

Went here as hotel had no entertainment had a great night watching singer staff were friendly, lovely place everyone made us feel welcome.

Excellent steak dinner for two, chips, onion rings, tomatoes & mushrooms. A very good peppercorn sauce, topped off the steak, cooked the way we like it, blue（╹◡╹） Service was exemplary, attentive m, we couldn’t have wanted for more! Busy pub, but the restaurant still gave an atmosphere of quiet and inviting cosiness. Serves excellent pizzas and a wide range of Italian dishes too! Recommend a visit.

Wonderful find food was good the staff amazing, Went as 3 families with younger children and a dog, sat outside under the gazebo, no complaints really friendly.

Great food, drink and staff (particularly Amy) lovely historic town too. Will certainly visit again on day.

We only had drinks but outside staff amazing run their socks off seating people taking orders and serving we are definitely going back the staff rock 10/10

one of the few places open on a monday night . However we were the only people in there to begin with. then one other group. Waitress not very knowledgeable but helpful. nice pasta

Friendly pub in this lovely little village. We were staying at the nearby Bosworth Hall Hotel and visited this pub twice during our three night stay. We didn't go one night as they were showing the footie on BT Sport. We enjoyed the real ale and red wine but didn't eat there. The adjoining Italian restaurant serves food in the bar as well as in the restaurant. Food smelled and looked lovely. There is a bar menu too.

An old fashioned basic pub with a friendly welcome, we went in the first night and only had one drink each, but the next night whwn we went in the landlady welcomed us back and even knew what we wanted to drink. We didn't eat there because we were already booked in at the hotel, but the menu looke inexpensive and varied

Good food. Sensible prices - in contrast to other venues in this popular tourist spot. Friendly staff.

Just in Market Bosworth for the one night, was actually staying at The Hall but out the amazing array of offerings on offer off ‘their’ menu I didn’t fancy a roast!!.. so set foot into the town of which is only 5mins at the most.. important Came across this Dixie Pub (and apparently hotel), upon walking in (on a Monday evening) there was a really nice welcome, a few locals at the bar.. and all in all what appeared to be a great pubPizzas were on special (every Monday) so that’s what I went for and indeed it was a very good choiceIt wasn’t busy,but as I say it was a Monday evening

On the drive through market Bosworth spontaneous stop, Friendly atmosphere, good food, good value, always a pleasure!! And will definitely be back.

Was apprehensive because it wasn't busy in there - I had no need to be! the food was fresh and hot, presented beautifully and was so tasty it made me wonder how this place could get missed! I recommend a trip

Ordered dinner here. Was a little quiet but the staff seemed friendly. Food is nice, wine expensive. but overall had a nice evening.

We went here while staying at the Bosworth Hall Spa, Very good customer service and staff were very welcoming. Good range of drinks available and reasonable prices.

We are spending Christmas in Market Bosworth, and the Pubs were closing at Lunchtime. It was our fault, as we had been in the gym and swimming! Anyway, we were met with a warm welcome at the Dixie Arms, just as last orders were being taken. It was Christmas day, and the ambience was lovely. Very relaxed, with a very friendly lady at the bar. I actually preferred it to its well known close neighbouring Pub, and I shall return. Thoroughly recommended!

My husband and I enjoyed a brilliant weekend away in Market Bosworth and stumbled across this pub while out exploring. Unlike other pubs in the area, we were welcomed immediately by Alex the landlady, who helped us out with information we were looking for. Her personality and charm enticed us to go back in later on, and we stayed for the rest of the day.....met some of her lovely local friends, including her partner Hayden, who was just as welcoming. I have to say, we have been to many places, but the hospitality and kindness shown to us during our visit to the Dixie Arms was unlike no other. And I would recommend for anyone to visit here! Thank you again to Alex and Hayden for such an enjoyable time

We love this pub. The stafff are always welcoming and the food is good and very reasonably priced. We have only been in lunchtimes but they regularly have evening entertainment.

This was my favourite place to drink in Market Bosworth; what I class as a good old proper pub.

I stayed here whilst on business. The rooms are all en-suite and equipped with a double bed, tea/coffee making facilities and a LCD TV. The pub and Italian underneath offer reasonably priced food and drinks. Regulars are very friendly and so this is the ideal place to stay whilst away from home alone.

First time for a few of us to visit the Dixie we decided to try out there pizza and pasta due to my sister living in market bosworth recommended trying it I enjoyed the spaghetti with mussels prawns and crayfish in spicy tomato sauce, my son had meat pizza others had calzone or chicken in creamy white wine and Parmesan and pasta sauce all clean plates will definitely be going back again, very reasonably priced too

Elegimos este pub para algunas bebidas por la tarde, muy amable y buena atmósfera durante el partido Rugby. No dudaría en volver. no podemos comentar en comida, ya que no comer aquí

We can confirm that we were treated very well indeed. The service was very good. However the food was very average. On saying that it is still a good place to pop in for an average family pizza.

We had purchased a Groupon voucher for the restaurant at the Hotel. The menu is very much slanted towards the Italian but having said that, the food was very good and at normal prices, not overly expensive. As it was Thursday evening when we went, it was not too busy but even so, the waitress was particularly attentive and helpful. All in all, a pleasant experience.

We had a really lovely meal. It was a groupon voucher and it was really good value. The food was well prepared and the service was excellent. We would not hesitate to go again.

Chose the chilli tomato prawn starter, glad I had black pepper added otherwise would have been totally tasteless. For my main I chose the Sicilian pizza which again was bland, no hint of garlic or herbs but much too much cheese. On the positive the staff were attentive and friendly.

Disrespectful rude man behind the bar! Appalled at the service, had a meal with my husband and our friend, food was OKAY, but decided to have a few drinks before we decided to pop to another pub next door. When we got up to leave we were abruptly stopped by the tall blonde hair lad behind the bar telling us that we needed to pay our meal bill, which we had already done a hour or so before, then rudely ringing the female who served asking very unprofessionally if number 13(us) had actually paid in the end. After Confirming that we had indeed paid, we received no apology then continued to proceeded to serve his friend at the bar who continued to swear at the bar ignoring other customers who had been waiting a fare time to be served. Definitely will not be recommending this place and shall be making a complaint to the incompetent manager who doesn't seem to be able to teach there staff manners and how to serve people correctly.

Had a first class evening Saturday night in this excellent Italian Restaurant.First class attentive service, food was well cooked, well presented and served hot.All in all an excellent meal at a reasonable price for food and drink.Well done, keep up the good work.

We recently at the Dixie Arms Hotel Bistro. The staff were very efficient, attentive and friendly. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. The meal was excellent value for money. The wine served with the meal was well priced. Overall a fabulous experience. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this area.
