One of my favourite places in Christchurch, an absolute hidden gem 💎 Great cocktails, lovely food, amazing staff and service and if you’re lucky when you go in there may be a live singer!! Spent many enjoyable evenings here!! 5 star ⭐️

Unplanned walk in. New place for us. Cocktails and food were amazing, service perfect. Plus the best old school hip hop! Will come back soon.

Strawberry & rose daiquiri was out of this world, the garden was closed when we went because of the fire damage but hopefully will be open to the public soon 🤞

Amazing range of Gins and assortment of drinks. Interesting history and well worth a visit.

Great night out with friends for my retirement party. The cheese and charcuterie boards were amazing. It will take many visits to work our way though the gin and cocktail menu, but that will be fun! Thanks for making it a great evening we’ll see you again very soon.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch, food was delicious and the service was very efficient and pleasant. We definitely be back.

It's a really cosy place with quite a history. If you do visit make sure to read the story on the menu and enjoy one of the many delicious martinis 🔥

A small beamed black and white building that was filled with people from our party. It was a good place to have a party. There were three rooms, one was dedicated to food. I'm not sure who provided the food no I'd better not comment!

The live music was excellent, with a lively atmosphere great nite out

Looked at opening times for Thursday made special effort to get there looking forward to food and gin not open even though it said open on site very dissspointef not the best customer service

Lovely cocktails, highly recommend stopping in here for a cocktail when your put and about. The owners are also lovely. I highly recommend trying their own gin.

A wine/alcohol bar really. We just wanted tea and were welcomed with good service. No cakes or biscuits though, which would have been nice.

Really enjoyed the cheese and charcuterie sharing board for £12.95 pp which was good value. Delicious variety of meats, cheeses, breads, crackers, pickles, pate, grapes, olives and sundries tomatoes. Fantastic cocktails and mocktails too. Service was really friendly and efficient. We were booked for 5.30 so fairly quiet but as we left at 7.15 had really started to fill up and the atmosphere nicely building. Would definitely recommend!

Took my boyfriend here for the tipsy tea for his boy and it was AMAZING! The staff are all so welcoming and friendly, and the food and cocktails were delicious 👍🏻

Would be good if it actually opened when it says it will. Tried today. Was supposed to be open 12-12. Not open until 4pm. Not the first time this has happened. Indeed, it's the third time! If you're running a business, try and be open when you say you will!

We stumbled upon here and OH MY GOSH it is an amazing One Love stop. Fantastic ambience, in and Garden. The owner is very friendly and all staff are very welcoming. Fab find and highly recommend. Driving so can't Cocktail it. Coming back soon. Congratulations. Xxx

Visited this wonderful quaint Gin Parlour early evening. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and guided to the wonderful little garden area. We did not try the tapas or gin and tonics but had other alcoholic beverages. The staff really make the place and are attentive and show pride in their work. Highly recommended to visit this place if you are in the Christchurch area.

Dirty Gerties is a hidden gem in Christchurch, Dorset. Primarily a gin bar but offers an extensive cocktail menu. The garden is small but in my opinion definitely worth a visit. Ask about the history of the building.

I went on a Thursday evening with my partner (at around 7pm and there was only one other table with guests. The place was really lovely but the atmosphere odd and a bit awkward with no one else being there. The drink was fantastic, one of the best cocktails I have had!

We had the most fantastic time at this venue. The food and drinks were delicious, and there was lots of attention to detail. The venue itself is stunning and the staff were fantastic throughout our time there. We will definitely be back 🙂

Perfect place for a lunchtime catch up with friends. Loved the mock tails (I was driving) and beautifully presented and generous platter. If I lived nearer I'd be a regular visitor.

For a lovely place like Christchurch this place would not impress anyone like myself looking for a friendly reception. Quiet the opposite. Unfriendly….could do with training to make visitors welcome like most in the area. A real letdown. Will not return. Ever.

Looks nice. Unfortunately closed early (8pm) because there wasn't enough trade. So our party went elsewhere. Sad times. I wanted an expresso martini or two!

Nice and relaxing Christmas special was nice

A perfect place for a cosy afternoon tea. Amazing scones and blackcurrant jam! Wish there could be a few more sandwich selection for the price. The mini hummus burger was good too. The dessert snacks were impressive and lovely ambience with the music which was perfect 🫖Totally friendly staff and very welcoming too. The place is located at a very easy find spot with couple of parking places nearby and just near the bus stop as well.

Incredible afternoon tea with cocktails in a tea pot and pianist..perfect way to spend an afternoon. The team at Dirty Gerties are so attentive and brilliant at hosting. Thank you we will be back!

Lovely little place. The pretty courtyard is a haven away from the traffic, with fries of the castle tower.

Popped in here today to a warm welcome, it had been raining but we wanted to sit in the garden, nothing was too much trouble and the table and chairs were dried and we were provided with cushions to sit on. The staff were extremely polite and accommodating. Not to mention the jaffa cake gin cocktail. I would definitely recommend this place.

Wow this was a delightful experience for me as I didnt realise I was walking into a gin parlour...I had the" Ain't life a peach" cocktail ...absolutely delicious...I thoroughly enjoyed it and the salad was very tasty and the garlic prawns really complimented it. My only negative comment was the rocket leaves were a bit gritty. But all in all a very good experience..thank you. We will return

Really lovely pub with an excellent selection of drinks including cocktails. Didn’t eat but the food sounded nice. Really pretty relaxing sun trap garden out the back that overlooks the castle ruins. Really friendly welcoming staff and the whole place has a very nice relaxed atmosphere. In a busy location right on a busy road that runs just off Christchurch town centre, but you wouldn’t know once you’re inside and in the rear garden. Loved the place. well worth a visit.

Can't fault this little gem. Friendly hosts, lovely food freshly prepared in a relaxed venue with loads of character. I can't wait to visit again.

Had booked here for afternoon tea for a small hen group , and even with the covid restrictions it was simply outstanding! The food was amazing and there was so much!! Staff were all brilliant, especially Shannon & the chap behind the bar (so sorry didn’t catch your name!) , I was even able to pop in before hand to hang up some hen decorations which made it even more special. so many gins and the cocktails all looked honestly amazing -I was gutted I couldn’t have one due to being pregnant !! The garden outside is truely beautiful, I would recommend this place to everyone it really was awesome-thank you!!!

Without doubt the best cocktails in the area. Always changing so never get bored. Love the espresso martini and the orchid dragon. Also Love the food here nothing too posh but tasty and value for money.

Our first night in Christchurch and we wanted to sample some new gins in this quaint and beautiful little venue. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. It was a mild autumn evening so we sat outside in the garden overlooking the ruin, which must be lovely in summer.We tried a couple of Dorset gins, which were superb. Shame they are only open at weekend but we'll deffo be making another visit.

Fabulous time at the Tipsy Afternoon Tea - fabulous cocktails and afternoon tea. Excellent service and all very Covid secure. Would recommend booking for the next Tipsy Tea in Nov.

A couple of us went to Dirty Gerties on Friday for a hen do (with the Covid rule of 6- followed social distancing guidance). We sat in the beautiful garden area, it was amazing! The cheese board was delicious and the drinks were great, they were a good price as well. The staff went above and beyond, especially Mel, she was so professional and helped us all. Thank you we will be coming back!

What a fantastic little place this is!The decor is quirky and quaint, great seating areas to sit and catch up with friends, and a lovely garden with fairy lights all around.There's a massive selection of cocktails, especially gin based ones, but lots of choice overall, and the most incredible cheese and meat boards!The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. You can't visit Christchurch and not pop into Dirty Gerties.

Wondered past here & it made me chuckle with a name like that so just had to go in for a cheeky gin. We opted for the garden which was all lit up lovely on a summer's evening.There's lots of choice on drinks/ cocktails, & wanted to look at the menu as we could see people was eating but......was rather surprised when we walked in at 8pm on a Sunday evening to be told that they would be closing in about half an hour , although the website clearly says they are open until 10pm ? Other than that ,we enjoyed our drinks.

Dirty Gertie is a wonderful gin and cocktails bar that also does cheese and mixed ham boards, that are just to die for.The owners are so attentive and nothing is too much trouble you are looked after from the moment you walk in to when you leave The cocktails are amazing and the cheese board oh my dayz is amazing .The decor is lovely and quirky in places I half expected can can dancers to pop out . It’s a family run business and their daughter who helps out is a real little star ,as I have said they really do look after you and it is genuine If you haven’t been “ then why .“ We love this place and keep going back ❤️

Went here with some friends for a couple of cocktails and we were tempted by the cheese and meat platters which were lovely. Staff were friendly and efficient and all COVID precautions were taken. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will soon be back.

Booked with friends who have been before a few times for Saturday night. Had a lovely table out in the garden. All the tables are spaced out and looks really pretty. We had the cheese and meat platters and it was absolutely delicious. The service was top class and the owners and their lovely daughter are so so friendly. Overall we had a brilliant evening. We will definitely be back and would 100% recommend to anyone. Thanks guys

What a fantastic discovery on our walk around Christchurch. After a lovely afternoon we headed back to Dirty Gerties and after pondering over the menu we ordered four different Gins and they were all delicious. But my favourite was the Bramble gin. The staff were so happy and friendly and we will definitely be back.

Another gem hidden in plain sight. Formerly the perfumery, I have walked by on numerous occasions and didn't know what I was missing. A well laid out and beautifully decorated gin palace. Step off the high street in to a different world. Fantastic atmosphere, lovely welcome as you enter and cocktails abound. Very clean throughout including the facilities. Your cocktail mixed in front of you and very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. A return for sure.

We visited with friends on a Saturday. I love what they’ve done with the place, it’s such an old building and they’ve really used its natural character to their advantage. It has such a cosy feel, and there are wooden games and puzzles to play, which we actually ended up playing! I came in as someone who doesn’t like gin, but the cocktails we had were so delicious I’m definitely a convert. The staff are so friendly and despite being busy had us welcomed and served quickly. Will absolutely be coming back, thank you!

We wanted a snack and a drink and could not have come to a more welcoming little place. Helped by the fine weather and space in the garden, we enjoyed some drinks and fresh sandwiches in a very relaxing ambiance. Very much a family operation, the owner and her daughter were warm and attentive. If we had been staying in town, we could easily have slipped back without the car for a session exploring the selection of gins on offer!

Had a lovely little lunch in this little Gem..delightful little yard garden and a fabulous ploughmans lunch which is totally recommended. Staff friendly and very attentive. We are regulars in Christchurch but first time to this eat and drink here as it's fairly new "in the block" but cant wait to come back. Only one negative...I wish I drank Gin!!! Have never seen such so many on a menu. If your a gin drinker it's a must and even if your not...its a must!

Fabulous, unpretentious bar, specialising in gin but with everything else you'd expect too. We sat in the garden and enjoyed a light lunch. The highlight was the friendliness of the staff, especially Becky (I hope I've got that right but I was being plied with gin!). It was her first day but you'd never have known. She's a real asset.

Hi all went here twice on the 21st of july, had a really nice gin and a real ale from the cask. We orderd a plough mans lunch x2 when it came out it looked lovely and also tasted lovely. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We sat in the little back garden which was very nice. We went back in the evening and it was just as good thanks to all the staff for a great time.

This is an exterior I've always loved in Christchurch from when it was the old tea rooms. Myslef and some friends went in here for my birthday evening and the Gin was served and made to a brilliant standard the service was very good and they looked after me and my friends very well. The interior is beautiful along with the stunning outside garden which is great in the summer.Love this place.

A great venue for a social gathering, with a warm welcoming atmosphere. As a group of friends we enjoyed an evening after work here. With the large choice of gins, and mixers available it was wonderful to be served by a friendly waitress full of knowledge, and enthusiasm for the drinks on offer. All combinations chosen were delicious. We also enjoyed a sharing platter where we got to choose three different cheeses, and meats from those available. Throughout our time there the background music added to the atmosphere without intruding on our conversations. We will be back, thank you.

Beautiful & clean place, great atmosphere, friendly and very knowledgeable staff, I was very impressed with our waitress. The list of gins is large, for every taste , my recommendation the Pothecary Sicilian blend, a must to try. And to eat, cheese & meat board, just delicious you can choose to be inside or outside in the beautiful garden, just remember to book.

A group of us visited after work and we all enjoyed ourselves due to the warm welcome from staff. This place has so much atmosphere, set in a lovely old building right by the castle ruins. The waitress was knowleageable answering all our questions about the huge choice of gins and what to put with them. We all ordered something different and tasted each others, all were delicious. We ordered a sharing platter and there was plenty for everyone, really generous. Unfortunately it was raining so we weren't able to sit out in the 'secret garden' which is a real sunny peaceful haven. Will definately be making this a local haunt.

Popped in for our first visit, and were impressed, both by the friendly welcome and the huge range of gins available. We'll be back!

My girlfriend and I popped in a couple of times last week when staying at the Premier Inn down the road. Lovely building and garden with a great - but not overwhelming -selection of gins from local distilleries and beyond. Had a nice chat with the friendly and welcoming couple that own it, who are very knowledgeable about the gins and the best mixers and garnishes to accompany them. We didn't get the chance to sample the food but we saw it come out and it looked fantastic - we'll have to eat here next time we visit the town which hopefully won't be too long.

Have visited twice recently. Food is amazing, cheese/meat boards perfect to go with a nice gin. Lovely little garden and blankets for when it’s cold ! Staff very helpful with recommendations. Great extensive selection of gins and lots of different tonics too. (Also a variety of options if you don’t want gin as well). Will be back again and again.

A great place to meet with fellow gin loving friends. The list of gins is endless and the staff very helpful in helping you to decide which one to choose. This place is a little gem. The outside area is lovely. Grassed and kitch. The inside friendly and welcoming. Staff are lovely and friendly. The food is also nice too. The roastys are lush. Can't wait to chine back.

We had lunch here a few days ago and it was superb. The menu may not be vast but it was most unusual and interesting. We sat out in the courtyard which is lovely. We would most certainly recommend it and would certainly return.

This is a little gem of a place in Christchurch. Staff are so lovely and ambience very friendly. The food is good and not over priced and just enough although we always want more! Garden is great to sit out in especially if the sun is shining. Right under the ruins and the building is really oldy wordly. Highly recommended.

Stopped by for a quick drink after a nice long walk. Really cute little place with a nice outside garden. Great choice of gins.
