Really enjoyed my times here. The decor is a little underwhelming, but the food and service is too notch

Quick curry while waiting on a flight. Food generally pretty good but naan bread was so sweet it was inedible

We visited here whilst on a pre-holiday stopover at the Best Western up the road. The staff were friendly and helpful and overall the meal was decent with good portions and of good quality. Not a massively memorable place though as the flavours were normal and acceptable rather than excellent. Reasonable value though and would visit again.

Empty but service poor, food OK but overpriced.

I brought the family here for boxing day dinner. From the second you walk in, the staff are so welcoming and friendly. The place is immaculately clean. The staff friendly and polite and the food is amazing. We come here often and it's always excellent. Would definitely recommend. You won't be disappointed. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Where do i start, the main guy that takes orders is a joke, very unhelpful, no manners at all, the food was awful full stop, wouldn’t eat in there again if was free for life, if you want a decent curry there are a million better places than this dump, don’t bother unless you want to eat horrible food served by unhelpful staff, the end.

best korma ever n onion rice n best chips yummy nice guys love the mint yogurt and the fiery chicken chilli starter is hot n tasty and the best prawn cocktail starter too

Nice restaurant staff are very welcoming. Down side prices have increased considerably.

Great staff Tuesday offer great value

Not at all like it used to be. Haven’t been in a long time as it’s a little out of my way, drove a fair distance. On entering a member of staff pointed from across the room to where we should sit. The restaurant was cold and empty. Wish we walked out at that point.the film American history x is playing on a large tv in the background. The food was poor and still haven’t felt the same since. Wouldn’t recommend and certainly won’t return.

The quality has degraded over the last few years, but when you find a hair in your rice, it certainly puts you off if the quality didn't.

Such a shame this restaurant has gone so much down hill. The food is still nice but the service is dire and very slow. No customer interaction, no greeting at the door. We just walked in and seated ourselves! Customer sat in the bar area seems to take control getting menus and going in the back to say there are customers waiting. Same customer stands in doorway, which they prop open with fire extinguisher, smoking which does drift into the restaurant. Very unpleasant. Used to be a brilliant restaurant back in the day, not now though.

Had a chicken zalzala and chicken pathia. Both curries were absolutely stunning. Will definitely be ordering again 😊

We use the Dilshad whenever we fancy a takeaway. The food is always tasty and very good value, especially in these times when everyone is upping their prices astronomically! We've sat in occasionally, the staff are very polite and attentive.

Average place, with food taste not to standards of an Indian palette but presentation and portion size was great for the price. Friendly and quick service, and seems to be busy.

Shocking customer service and very argumentative Went in for a takeaway. Waited 5 min as no one around, had to shout for someone and then he decided to argue with me, so I left!!

Nice food but out of 15 orders they have got the order wrong about 10 times. So if you’re getting take away, check your bag before you leave!!!

Food was good but service was awful, the phone at the bar area was constantly ringing for atleast 30 minutes and none of the staff answered it. It was very loud and annoying. No one came over to ask if we wanted more drinks, we had to ask them when they walked past. We were the only ones in the restaurant.

As a veteran of eating in Indian restaurants I have to say Dilshad is a great discovery. Elaborate menu with so many dishes I’ve never seen before (which is really unusual). I’m slowly working my way through them when I’m in Manchester and it feels being 18 again trying things for the first time! The food is excellent: amazing tasting, good sized portions and not overpriced. The staff are friendly and the restaurant looks and feels as you expect.

The food was excellant. The waiters were polite, & apologetic. But the waiting time was unacceptable of 1 hour & a 1/4. The reason given was thst the kitchen was overwhelmed with takeouts etc. We were 7 people & on a Saturday night the only ones in the restaurant. We at 1st were surprised, but realised why in the end. We just got an apology, with not even a free drink offered or some money back on the bill. Its a shame as we like the food, but wont go there again. We brought visitors from abroad. But it left a distaste for restaurants in the area.

No way is this authentically cooked . Tasted like it was out of a jar . Severely lacking in meat...dreadful meal

Been to this place many times now, never sat in but really nice atmosphere inside, food is absolutely amazing and consistently great!

Dilshad was my favourite Indian takeaway for many many years, however unfortunately since the change ownership the quality of the food has gone substantially downhill. The last few times i have ordered from there the chicken badami was tasteless and the madras was really watery.

Food taste was decent enough but the service was very bad, not courteous enough to visit next time, guy got irritated when we ordered extra item after placing the order, not expected the rude response from him. Very bad experience

Absolutely the worst curry I've had the sauce was obviously from a jar and cooked in a microwave the samosa and bhajis were from Costco, it makes me wonder how much class the people who gave it 5 stars lack to enjoy this food vile.

Possibly the worst meal I've ever had. Shop bought samosa, stale naan bread, tasteless curry and chips were awful. Paneer tasted mouldy. Bhajis were the only thing that was edible. I couldn't eat the rest will not go back

Bang on time delivery. The most delicious and piping hot takeaway I’ve had in a while! Paneer tikka masala and veg samosas tasted fresh, home made and so good and the pilau rice and chapatis were perfect. Very very good.

Meat looked raw in the middle and made me throw up a few hours later!!

Food was atrocious i bought a lamb biriyani that had literally 4 peices OF UNDERCOOKED LAMB for £8.10 i could go and buy half a leg of lamb for that n cook my own. the rice was nothing but spices and rice there was no intent of adding flavour to it THE CHEFS SHOULD BE ASHAMED AND THE OWNERS NEED TO CLOSE UP SHOP!! made me throw up later that evening AND FOR REAL SINCE WHEN DID LAMB BIRIYANI BIRIYANI CONTAIN GARDEN PEAS

The food, staff and atmosphere in this restaurant are fantastic. I meet up there with my brother and four son's about once a quarter as it is easy for us all to get to. From the outside you may think to not go in as the building itself doesn't look very inviting but don't be put off we have never had a bad experience there and I am very surprised by the two poor reviews I have seen and wanted to give our experiences there.

Superb 'neighbourhood' curry house. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Superb menu with a few unusual choices. Nice and clean. Food was outstanding.

I eat out a few times a week. And I used to work at an Indian takeaway. And I always try to be positive when reviewing places however there is only so much one can do. To be brutally honest there is no pride taken in the food at Dilshads. The chef is no chef. All the meals have the same tomato/massala base. Even the bloody Tarka Dhal is tomato based with whole lentils. Nothing like any other Tarka Dhal I have ever had. The service was mediocre, I ordered a bottle of chardonnay and received a bottle of Jack Rabbits Sauvigon Blanc. The only saving grace was the place was clean, the food fast and the poppadoms fresh. The lassi was fairly good too, but then the old man did do that himself. Pop

Service was excellent and the staff was very helpful and very polite and very well presented

Seems to have changed hands in the last year or so. Staff are now rude and inattentive. Only good thing were the poppadum's. Curries were just tomato sauce with chilli powder with different colorings.

THE WORST curry I have ever experienced. Watery, cold and completely tasteless. Try it for yourself and you’ll know I’m not making this up. How on Earth is this place even a thing 👀 First time and most definitely our last. Do the decent thing, either sort it out or shut your doors for good. People deserve far better for their money than the garbage I have just experienced.

Chips were greasy and overcooked.vindaloo not hot enough and ive never had a red sheehk kebab starter.must have added food colouring to it.

Used this restaurant for take out before as it's local. However found the mains far too salty and very similar in taste although supposedly different meals! Doesn't encourage me to return. Shame.

I ordered a King Prawn Jalfrezi, only it had no King prawn in it. I was quite dissatisfied. Dissapointing. Poor.

I came here to pick up a takeaway I ordered and when I got home there there was only 2 tiny pieces of meat in both of my curries and when I phoned up to complain they said I was lying absolutely disgusting

Absolutely dreadful takeaway. - Tiny portion size for the price, barely any chicken in a ‘chicken’ curry, pretty much just sauce. - Curry was watery, and was the worst flavour curry or this kind I’ve ever had, even supermarket bought version would’ve been better - Rice not very well cooked - Only thing that was ‘ok’ was the naan bread, the rest was dreadful I wouldn’t have bothered to write a review if the portion sizes weren’t so terrible, but when you feel truly ripped off, I feel it’s best to warn others before they do get ripped off too. It’s just not fair really when they could go to a much better takeaway for the same price.

AVOID !!! Old Dried up food. Processed old lumps of chicken and dried up chips which look like they had been reheated many times they were brown !!! Disgusting !!! Never again, worst take away food in the whole area.

Ordered for delivery. The food arrived in time and was piping hot and we'll packaged. The food was amazing! I had lamb dopiaza and it was beautiful! The rice was lovely and the naan was soft and warm. My husband had chicken tikka balti and he said it was lovely. The man that delivered the food was so cheerful and polite. This is definitely the best Indian takeaway in Wilmslow.

Have enjoyed mainly takeaways for years and given 5* reviews . Sadly it's no longer as good . Portions skimped on . Service indifferent . Staff smoking outside . Phone not answered now the line is dead . They can only get so far on the reputation of the last owners .

I mainly get takeaway meals and it is always good . Recent months have seen smaller portions of meat in the curries . Also the phone can go unanswered . Usually at least one mistake per order too . Won't stop going just yet , hoping for an improvement . The last owners were a tough act to follow in terms of customer service . Not much effort made now to keep us regular customers happy sadly . Used to be very welcoming .

Absolutely lovely meal tonight at Dilshad, we've lived nearby for ages and never been, we've really missed out! We had the Tuesday night deal which was incredible value for money, and every single thing we ordered was delicious. Service was great, very attentive, very good with food allergies. Particularly recommend the chicken tikka Karahi. We will definitely be recommending and returning.

Have drove passed this restaurant before thought we would give it a try not disappointed staff very friendly food was great full of flavour would recommend.

Had a takeaway in September and it was excellent, however last night's was just ok. Excellent service, good price, but got order wrong, gave chicken tikka instead of just chicken. Didn't take back as family had started eating theirs. Also a couple of ropey pieces of chicken in it.

I'd heard good things about Dilshad so drove over for a family takeaway last night (Friday 4th). It was very very good indeed. Highly recommended.

We visited last night as a group of seven and had a fantastic meal. The service was great and I have to say that the meal I chose was one of the nicest Indian dishes I have ever had. It is a shame that the restaurant looks so unloved from the outside as I am sure that would put some people off but I will certainly be returning based on last nights meal

We had a takeaway two weeks ago ,unfortunately they left out one of mains and we had to go back. Also we realised that we only had one nan instead of two ,but we couldn't be bothered, as it was to much hassle. Have they changed the chef as it wasn't up to a usual standard, probably won't try again.

Yeah they’re back open, 3 months of excellent take aways but you can’t beat the dine in experience!!!

Have been using the restaurant for years but since changed hands, it has got worse and worse. But tonight's takeaway was the worse curry I have ever had.

When it first changed hands, my first experience was poor and I gave it a 2. Since lockdown, I have been incredibly impressed. They food has always been very good and way better than before. The service has been impeccable and my family really appreciate them delivering contactless in this time. I look forward to eating in the restaurant when we are allowed.

Was concerned with new ownership. Food still excellent plus their delivery service is keeping key workers fed handsomely. Lovely lamb Vindaloo and Tandoori Chicken . Still nowhere as good or as reasonable in the area .

Visited dilshad as a party of 6, we always have a wonderful time here. The food was superb and the atmosphere was great. Overall a fantastic evening

Had the tastiest thing in an Indian restaurant ever “Indian Lamb Shank” it’s not for the faint hearted and would probably serve two people in truth, but it was so delicious. We think this restaurant has got a little better with the new owners, who are lovely people so friendly John Cavanagh Jan 2020 Well done 10/10

A group of us visited here recently, it seemed dark inside whether saving on the leccy bill or just not enough lights. The waiter took our orders but seemed to have got himself in 6s & 7s as he had to ask some of us again what we wanted then became rude to one of us with childish comments. I always order the same dish wherever I eat but he recommended something similar so took it up, bad choice and a big disappointment as it was nothing like so makes me think were they trying to clear some ingredients from the kitchen

Authentic North Indian restaurant with attentive service. All the food was excellent, I particularly enjoyed the veg pakoras, saag paneer and mango lassi.

We’ve not eaten here since early 2018 curry tastes better than before bhaji crispy cant complain very happy quality meal would definitely order again! I’m very fussy about my birhianis and this was lovely! Thanks

My wife, daughter and I attended this Christmas Eve and the service, food and price was exceptional. The tandoori chicken starter was the best in a long time as it is normally baked to death and dry.., go visit and decided for yourself 👍

Dined here tonight, the service was slow. We ordered 3 different curry’s and they were all very bland with no flavour, in fact they all tasted the same. Worse curry I have ever eaten.

Used to be the best in the area. Change of owners, (very sneakily done with a back story of half-truths and lies told to regular customers) and now it appears a change of chef. Food is not the same. Chicken now that horrible pre-packed diced rubbish that comes out like rectangle squash balls. Would have stayed if the food was still the same but it’s just not. Smacks of cost cutting and doing stuff on the cheap.

This was our favourite takeaway restaurant, courteous service and fantastic food. We had a takeaway from here on Friday, my chicken dopiaza was overcooked, dry and lacking flavour , all our meals were just lukewarm, the popadoms were rubbery. One taste and I knew this was not prepared by the usual chef. Sorry you have lost a customer.

Would really like to know where the brothers and staff have moved to. Its not the same food or service. Gutted been going there for years.

Visited Dilshad last night and would definately visit again. Warm, friendly welcome off the staff, food was delicious and reasonably priced, the service we received was excellent , it has new owners so we would definately recommend.

We were stopping over at the nearby Best Western for an early morning flight and after considering the other evening meal options in Handforth (including Greek, Chinese and Italian) we plumped for an Indian and dropped in on this place early Saturday evening. Didn't need to book although it did fill up later.
