Dilshad in Cheshire East

Been in a few times now. Don’t think any of the waiters realise they work in a restaurant. One of them is so rude, you think it’s a parody restaurant. Asked for poppadoms, he said he wouldn’t get them til we gave our main order. Another one just won’t shut up - always making stupid jokes and over sharing his personal life - and then when you need him he’s on a personal call behind the bar jabbering away in his mother tongue. And one of them just sits and watches films on the tv. I say this as if there’s lots of staff. Tbh, 95% of the time they aren’t there leaving you wondering if you’ll ever get any service as you dine for long periods without any staff present. People often walk in and straight out as no one is there to greet them. The food is actually ok but the Kingfisher on tap is warm and disgusting. When this was mentioned to the waiter who never shuts up he just shrugged and told me to tell the manager. Never again. Fed up with the place now.

Expected Jeremy Beadle to pop out. Main waiter very grumpy. Other staff looked miserable. Tv on with staff watching a film. Food average at best. Restaurant cold. No atmosphere. Odd.

We tend to get take aways mainly and always enjoy the food. Great customer service.

I've been going to the Dilshad for 10 years now, absolutely fabulous service always and the food is just great, I went in on Christmas day with my family and friends, the service fabulous as always great guys nothing is too much trouble I often order a chicken tikka Saag, medium spice, I have a take away quite often I recommend the restaurant and the guys who work so hard, thank you!

Had a couple of takeaway meals from here in the past month which have been great. However, we ordered for a full family of 6 last night, food on time but poor quality, today we are all feeling ill. Will not be ordering from there again !

Ordered a takeaway for delivery and it never arrived, we went to see where it had got to at 10.20 on a Saturday night to find they were shut.

Appearances can be deceiving... the outside looks a little run down. The inside is pleasing but generic. The food ... wow wow and OMG... amazing. Loved it ... the food was just simply lovely. I will be going back again for more. 🤩🤤

Had a takeout and it was really tasty

I'll never order from here again. I ordered Garlic Naan, but they sent plain naan that was inedible—too sweet and tasted more like cake. When I called customer service to fix the issue, it was even worse. The restaurant staff hung up on me after I refused their offer to replace the naan only if I placed another order in the future.. .

poperdoms chewie, onion bhaji burnt, nann bread burnt. have ordered again today, 2/8/24 and the same again. very disappointing as once was my favourite. sorry, but will not order again.

Really enjoyed my times here. The decor is a little underwhelming, but the food and service is too notch

The food came late, the chicken pasanda was disgusting and the bhajis were burnt.

We visited here whilst on a pre-holiday stopover at the Best Western up the road. The staff were friendly and helpful and overall the meal was decent with good portions and of good quality. Not a massively memorable place though as the flavours were normal and acceptable rather than excellent. Reasonable value though and would visit again.

Nice chilled atmosphere, friendly service and most importantly great food.

I placed my order at 3pm, for delivery at 6:30pm, so I gave them 3 hours notice. the food turned up at 6:10pm, the delivery driver told me they were very busy, so they brought it early. I had friends coming at 6;30pm. I decided to start eating, and the food was very poor. I ordered onion bhaji, which was luke warm. The seek kebab I ordered wasn't very hot, I ordered a garlic nann and there was no garlic on it, and that was wasn't even warm. And the korma I ordered had a bone in the sauce.

The food was good but the starter was not what I ordered. There was probably someone else who thought the same!!?? I also think that the delivery charge for a single meal is not helpful to encourage people to order again. £5.50 on top of the food price is ridiculous

I have noticed the few deliveries my potatoe dishes the potatoes have been hard and spoil it somewhat everything else is lovely I cannot complain.

Happy order was delivered earlier than advised time, food was hot, quality superb, only disappointment was 20% off first order code sent via email fm just-eat didn’t work. Apart from that all good

I brought the family here for boxing day dinner. From the second you walk in, the staff are so welcoming and friendly. The place is immaculately clean. The staff friendly and polite and the food is amazing. We come here often and it's always excellent. Would definitely recommend. You won't be disappointed. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Love ordering from here but it’s safe to say I won’t be from now on. The delivery driver was so rude to me at my front door after I politely said thank you. He made a comment and slung my food at me and walked away for no apparent reason whatsoever. What an ignorant idiot.

Where do i start, the main guy that takes orders is a joke, very unhelpful, no manners at all, the food was awful full stop, wouldn’t eat in there again if was free for life, if you want a decent curry there are a million better places than this dump, don’t bother unless you want to eat horrible food served by unhelpful staff, the end.

best korma ever n onion rice n best chips yummy nice guys love the mint yogurt and the fiery chicken chilli starter is hot n tasty and the best prawn cocktail starter too

Nice restaurant staff are very welcoming. Down side prices have increased considerably.

Deliciousness on a plate Tandoori meat is stunningly tasty and especially the Tandoori lamb chops Can’t fault the place

When we opened dishes shocked at the amount in them. Very very small portions compared to usual. And tasted very different than our normal. We usually have leftovers but tonight we all cleared every bit and we’re not really full. Won’t be using again. Shame as we all loved this place

Tried the new vegan Korma and I think it is my new favourite curry, absolutely delicious.

Food was cold which was very disappointing.

Not at all like it used to be. Haven’t been in a long time as it’s a little out of my way, drove a fair distance. On entering a member of staff pointed from across the room to where we should sit. The restaurant was cold and empty. Wish we walked out at that point.the film American history x is playing on a large tv in the background. The food was poor and still haven’t felt the same since. Wouldn’t recommend and certainly won’t return.

Not the best, wouldn’t order again. Picked collection as it said 20 minutes, only for it to say 40 once we’d actually confirmed our order - turned up early so sat and waited but the place was really quiet so no idea why it took so long. Thought the food was quite bland and the amount of chicken and paneer we got in our curries was minimal. Also no complimentary poppadoms - I know this isn’t a given but still disappointing.

The food was alright quality wasn’t the best I’ve had from there. Main reason being the rice was a little dry and there wasn’t much meat in the curry dish other than that the sauce was excellent and the breads were nice

Lovely food, and glad the 1 hour+ delivery time was an exaggeration because I was hungry!

Only one negative the onion barges were rock hard first time this has happened has not put me off dilshad as hoping a one off

Food was about above average but the only issue was the collection time of the takeaway since I went to collect it at designated collection time 8:10 but had to wait till 8:40 before the food was actually ready in which I wish I was told prior to coming to collect at set time

The quality has degraded over the last few years, but when you find a hair in your rice, it certainly puts you off if the quality didn't.

Such a shame this restaurant has gone so much down hill. The food is still nice but the service is dire and very slow. No customer interaction, no greeting at the door. We just walked in and seated ourselves! Customer sat in the bar area seems to take control getting menus and going in the back to say there are customers waiting. Same customer stands in doorway, which they prop open with fire extinguisher, smoking which does drift into the restaurant. Very unpleasant. Used to be a brilliant restaurant back in the day, not now though.

Curry was watery, rice wasn’t great, it was sticky and seemed to be microwaved. Never normally have a issues with food but today it wasn’t good.

Had a chicken zalzala and chicken pathia. Both curries were absolutely stunning. Will definitely be ordering again 😊

We use the Dilshad whenever we fancy a takeaway. The food is always tasty and very good value, especially in these times when everyone is upping their prices astronomically! We've sat in occasionally, the staff are very polite and attentive.

Food was good as always but the portion of sauce was a lot less than usual. This made the meal a little dry. Thank you for being early with delivery on a Saturday evening :)

Basic curry and starters Not enough quality ingredients for me Samosa mainly potato with little flavor. Onion bahji hard and crunchy. Salad tiny. Mixed meat starter ok but very small. Two Curries mainly liquid with a very small amount of meat. Poppadoms ok. Set meal for two 29.99 and meat starter 5.50. Expensive for not good ingredients.

Average place, with food taste not to standards of an Indian palette but presentation and portion size was great for the price. Friendly and quick service, and seems to be busy.

One of the curry was missing had to wait for it another 10/15 mins for it to arrive so I had to eat separately from the other person I ordered for, & the rest of my order was Luke warm at this time, inc the curry when it finally arrived. Won't be ordering again sorry guys not chancing that again.

Biriyani and curry sauce was really nice. Chips were cold and soggy horrible. I asked for Meat samosa but they sent me veg samosas not impressed put half the order in the bin won't use these again never had a problem before but thought it was a waste of money this time.

What can I say about this place, the best korma, the best onion rice, the best mint yogurt and the best rogan josh oh and the chips r great n home made not fries like most takeaways my favourite place to eat from by a mile

Nice food but out of 15 orders they have got the order wrong about 10 times. So if you’re getting take away, check your bag before you leave!!!

Food was good but service was awful, the phone at the bar area was constantly ringing for atleast 30 minutes and none of the staff answered it. It was very loud and annoying. No one came over to ask if we wanted more drinks, we had to ask them when they walked past. We were the only ones in the restaurant.

As a veteran of eating in Indian restaurants I have to say Dilshad is a great discovery. Elaborate menu with so many dishes I’ve never seen before (which is really unusual). I’m slowly working my way through them when I’m in Manchester and it feels being 18 again trying things for the first time! The food is excellent: amazing tasting, good sized portions and not overpriced. The staff are friendly and the restaurant looks and feels as you expect.

I said to deliver it at 21-55 and it was delivered at 20-40 I don’t finish work till 21-30 hence my delivery time then they get sness as ky and try and pretend they delivered it when I asked. I want a full card refund and I will definitely not be using just eat or any restaurant in the near future. Disgusting what you have done there tonight and I’ve spent nearly £20 for it to go in the bin you are very very snide

The food was delicious, and spicy but served with no cutlery!

After a standard effort on our 1st order some weeks ago we decided to give another go. Really glad we did because it was lovely this time. Doupiaza was lovely, wife and son loved their chicken tikka masalas. Rice ok, nan was nice. Home made chips as well. Only thing poppadoms were all broken, but not the end of the world.

Really disappointed with the food we ordered today. Ordered twice previously and had no issues. Today the food was cold, of poor quality (some of the chicken appeared undercooked, curry watery and tasteless) and some of the order was missing. Unfortunately won't be ordering again.

New Years Eve and arrived on time. Curry was piping hot and the king prawns were delicious.

Freezing cold meat rock hard and taste less

My flight was cancelled and I was staying in a local hotel. I love Indian food and this did not disappoint. The Fisk pakora and chicken biryani were perfect, fresh, light and delicious. I can honestly say it was a great way to end a not so great day. Thank you 🙏🏻
