We went for the taster menu and although the food was nice everything was either cold or Luke warm. Wouldn’t go gain

Biryani was dry and white tasteless and the chicken was very poor quality. I think. supermarket version would have been better. Wouldn't order from there again

Friendly staff, good value especially if ordered through their website and, most importantly, delicious food. I collected my order and a phonecall to say it was ready was a nice touch. Will definitely use again when staying in the area.

We ordered from here as an easy Christmas Eve dinner and we were so impressed. The Masala curry and biryani were both delicious and the naan bread was amazing. Also really good value for money, especially if you order online. Will definitely order again soon!

Dropped into the newly renovated Dhaba/Oliver’s kitchen! Ordered a pizza which was cheap as chips ; and what a delicious feast arrived ! Added a dash of Sriracha , my current fav sauce, and elevated to taste heaven ! Very friendly and efficient service ... my new fave foodie place !

Everything they cooked was literally burnt and very very greasy. When asked that they burnt the food, they got very grumpy. Feel sick already.

Ordered on deliveroo- the food was atrocious! Naan bread burned to a cinder, mixed grill drowned in salt, pilau rice slimy and rotten-smelling, byriani rotten-smelling and weird texture. Truly disgusting food, this company should be ashamed to serve such food. Got a full refund from deliveroo thankfully and the food went straight into the bin!

There are 3 Gunpowder locations in London. I went to the one in Spitalfields. It’s a very small restaurant that serves delicious takes on Indian food. Everything is creative and mouthwatering. I had the absolutely delicious kale salad - the kale is crispy! And the leaf wrapped fish with a creamy mustard sauce - very moist and tasty. From my reservation, they knew my birthday was approaching so I also got a dessert with a birthday candle - very thoughtful! The waitpersons and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. London is known for good Indian food, Gunpowder really stands out as a great example.

The word “Lahore” in their name is totally deceiving. For anyone who has tasted food in Lahore will be disgusted to taste this pathetic looking and overly priced food. The chicken karahi is nothing but boiled chicken pieces tossed in tomato paste. The cheese naan is just a thick oily roti with essence of cheese instead of real cheese. Also they serve the tandoori roti cut in pieces so remember to count the pieces to ensure that you are getting correct number of rotis because we were charged for 2 extra rotis that we never ordered. Even a novice will be able to prepare a better meal by watching a YouTube video.
