My friends and I went tonight and we watched the man blow his nose and then touch our straws when making the milkshakes, another man emptied the bins and continued to make puddings without washing his hands, they used water only to clean their utensils. Didn’t help that it took ages for them to make! Utterly disgusting! Put us off our milkshakes so we ended up leaving them!!! Never go here unless you want to catch an illness !

The cheesecake was defrosted in front of us - the tango was off when mentioned to the staff he said well you’ve drank some and the manager wasn’t here! Sweet retreat is much better and we won’t be returning

Took the family for some high calorie, high sugar grub-it certainly satisfies our cravings! Nice cuppa, massive waffles, yummy cheesecake. My boys loved the food and the milkshakes. It was a bit slow considering there was only us in there-but the lady was working all on her own. Will definitely return when we are in need of a sweet treat!

Me and my boyfriend came tonight. We found ourselves waiting quite abit for just two puddings as the lady was on her phone. Food arrived and it was okay, would probably go again just disappointed with the service.

Looks great on the eye but ice cream very cheap quality. Had double chocolate fudge ice cream and no taste at all, taste of ice with no flavour. Others had cookie dough which was nice but very thin and not worth money. Food also took about 20 minutes. Won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend.

I don't get chance to go into dessert shops all that much. But when I do this is where I go! If you really in Burton it's the place to go. All of the staff are very friendly and kind. You select your seat and then go up to order. There are so many options I am yet to find something I didn't thoroughly enjoy! The drinks are also just as good!!

I have just visited this place with my youngest son. I had a cookie dough dish at £5.50 and he had a sundae at £6.50. Having been to quite a few ice cream parlours, the prices seem to be fairly consistent. The going rate for a sundae is about £6.00, so I was happy to pay £12.00 for our two desserts until they arrived... My cookie dough was about the equivalent of a couple of cookies from Sainsbury's (the ones where you get 5 for a £1) and I only got one small scoop of ice cream with it. My son's glass was no bigger than a 1/2 pint and it wasn't exactly overflowing. I have had portions twice this size everywhere else, so why is this place so stingy? It's not as if there is something else to make up for it. The decor is drab and the staff are not particularly friendly or attentive. I won't be going back.

Took the family here for desert on a Friday night. The yummy smells hit you as soon as you walk in. So pleased to see it busy, but managed to squeeze in. We had crepe and a waffle basket. Clean plates all round and we will be back again. I suggest the the boyfriend of the server who filled a four person table when the place was packed should have moved and let his GF get on with her job. This was only a mild irritation.

Waffles are pretty light and tasty. Good range of drinks and waffles. Think this place will do well in Burton. Not on a par with others I've had in other cities hence 4/5. To top it off, pleasant service too.

Felt like I was drinking in a dog kennels, dogs on sofas, dogs barking at each other. Starbucks isn't the cheapest of cafes, you'd expect professionalism. In my opinion with the exception of guide/care dogs no other dogs should be allowed in a place of food and drink, however on 3 separate occasions now more and more individuals are taking their 'pets' into this cafe. The staff don't seem bothered and where is the manager?
