Doorstop tiger bread, you have been warned!! 😆 First morning if our stay in Scarborough we went for breakfast, thought we'd try a breakfast sandwich, any 3 items for £3.50 in a sandwich. 😮 My choice was bacon, egg and hash brown, hubby had bacon, sausage and black pudding! We both had a baguette, then noticed the doorstop tiger bread being distributed with other customers! Being big bread fans, next day we ordered a sandwich in tiger bread. The sandwich was huge, the bread so fresh! The filling almost got lost!! 😆 We went every morning for breakfast as it set us for the day. Highly recommend.

Had two beef and gravy baguettes and a pork baguette. Lovely crisp, fresh baguette, hot extra gravy. Loads of meat. Could see why there was a big queue!

The chocolate bloc was bloody rock solid but my mate bloody loved his yorkshire breakfast and the garlic bread was bloody awesome. Deli delicious is bloody amazing would defo recommend 👌

Stopped off here for lunch last month. I had roast pork, apple sauce, stuffing and gravy in a baguette. Wow, it tasted so good and was a generous size. Finished off with a huge choclate eclair. I was stuffed. It was great value too.

Called in this morning with my daughter for an early lunch. I specifically asked whether they could recommend the milkshake and was told they are good. What we received was a glass of lukewarm, barely chocolatey tasting milk. Not frothed, no cream, just milk poured on a weak amount of chocolate flavouring. Sadly by far the poorest specimen we have sampled in Scarborough. I don't think we will be returning.

Always have lovely food here , the younger ones could smile a bit more but sure that's an age thing and they will learn all the customer service skills as they get older . Lovely food always

Four happy people having just ate our breakfast. Food quality is great, proper mug of tea. This place hits all the right notes and will be back on our next visit.

This place is in the indoor market. I recently sampled their beef baguette with stuffing and onion gravy.I can highly recommend this.My husband had the chilli jacket potatoe and loved it.You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table.There aren't many tables around because of the social distancing but there isn't usually a problem.There is a large menu to choose from,my only gripe with the place is that I could find no brown bread/baguette option.The cream cakes are also excellent.

Whilst in Scarborough, my wife and I decided to look around the recently refurbished market hall. Whilst there we called at Deli Delicious and had a hot sandwich with a mug of tea. The quality of the food and beverages was excellent, the service friendly and quick. (They use YORKSHIRE tea - say no more!). The prices were lower than expected. On our final day in Scarborough, we returned specially in order to get fresh sandwiches for the coach, as well as to enjoy another fantastic hot sandwich and a mug of "proper" tea. A full menu is available including; breakfasts, hot sandwiches, panini's, cold sandwiches, toasties, burgers, pie & peas to name but a few. There is also a pizza menu and they are licensed!!! All in all a fantastic find, we will be back!

I go to Deli Delicious every time I visit Scarborough to spend time with my parents, so once a month. The food here is always consistent and very good value with decent service. I can highly recommend the cooked breakfast.

Stopped here for a quick bowl of soup and were amazed by how good it was. Broccoli and Stilton, delivered quickly and piping hot with a couple of slices of brown bread on the side. And all for £2.50 ! The place is nothing fancy but the choice is huge and if most of it’s as good as the soup then you won’t go wrong.

We were staying in Scarborough on a 6 day holiday, from Monday11 November 2019 to Saturday 16 November 2019.Me, my wife, her sister & husband went into Scarborough on Thursday 14 November, while walking round Scarborough we decided to call in the Deli Delicious cafe, situated in the market hall. I ordered 2 coffees, 2 teas & a mixture of pastries, me the lovely big apple pie, the pastries were lovely, with a good drink.

Been here quite a few times and normally satisfied, but went this morning and was disappointed... forgot about our food, asked the lad if we had been forgotten, he went to ask and as I was watching, our order was then taken into the kitchen, this was about half hour after first ordering. When it did arrive it was all only lukewarm, didn’t complain as we was hungry as we had waited so long. Not even an apology from any of the staff! Won’t be returning for the foreseeable.

Absolutely brilliant Deli all the food looked fabulous. We got breakfast there and it kept us going until evening meal . Very very generous portions fresh as a daisy best breakfast ever.

Walked around Scarborough in the rain after catching the X93 bus.It was raining so we sheltered in the market place. Very old building with stone slab floors Brilliant display of fruit and veg and numerous shops on two floors. We noticed many people eating at the back of the market, so went to look at menu and prices. Very reasonable costs. OK pretty basic, but was certainly value for money. Husband had mega breakfast and I had scampi chips, coleslaw and salad. Was amazed to also be given two crusty rounds of bread and butter too. For both meals we paid less than £14. Our best value in Yorkshire

We were really pleased with the market hall; what a great renovation. However, we ordered a panini & a toastie & we waited & waited & waited... Finally, thinking , maybe they were making their own bread as it was taking so long, I went to ask about it & they had no idea who I was & where my order was. It wasn’t even busy. I asked for my money back (which I had to total up myself) & we left. Shocking

All a bit grim. Sloppy customer service, dirty tables ( it wasn’t busy), floor strewn with debris, and average fare. It’s okay if you are desperate I suppose but there are much better options in town. Owners: if you are reading this - just take a bit more pride and think more about your customers’ experience and be a bit more attentive.

My dad and I have been coming here for years and the owner of Deli Delicious, Sean, obviously runs a tight ship and doesn't scrimp on quality.I've eaten English breakfasts, scrambled eggs and beans on toast, bacon and mushroom baguettes (my dad's favourite), a Sunday roast and other food, along with lattes and cappuccino. All have always been good. If you're in the area, pop in to Scarborough indoor Market and give this place a try, oh they do beer and pizza now as well!

Hadn't realised the market hall had started opening on a Sunday, but very glad it has. Great value Sunday lunch and breakfast had...lots of other options too. Always a big fan of the tiger bread too, and the music was fun too!

The latte at £2.10 is pretty good, and the bacon sandwiches are superb. Lots of bacon on good Crusty doorstop bread. They even manage to do Gluten Free bread on occasions, which I did t expect. They also do a wide range of pies, meats and cheeses. I’ve had baked potatoes in the past and the toppings are tasty and generous.

Visited market hall for first time after refurb. Spotted Deli Delicious and decided to have lunch. Just a sandwich and a huge vanila slice on this occasion, but returned on Sunday for Sunday lunch. Large plate full of meat, roasts, mash, 3 veg, yorkshire pud and onion gravy all for under £6.00. Washed down with pint of bear and accompanied by local singer. Great atmosphere in the old market hall. I know where we will be heading next time we visit Scarborough.

called in on visit to scarborough for the day,,popped into market place ,got cup of coffee and a tea,,picked my cup up,and just before i started drinking it,seen a large lipstick mark on cup..returned it to girl at counter,then her boss,who was probably owner,saw i was,nt very pleased at what i,d been served,took the cup from the girl,and poured tea into another cup,and went to pass it back to me,,i refused it and asked for a fresh cup of tea,which i got,,,but no appology at all,absolute disgusting..dread to think what goes on the plates after a visit to the floor..

Came a few weeks ago and the food was good in general however it came with s chunk of stodgy bread that didnt taste very fresh and the tea was watery. Gave it another try today and asked if we could switch the doorstep bread for normal toast. Was fine and we enjoyed it much morr. Couldnt switch tea for coffee though. Food was good quality. Very busy. Tables were all dirty but I carry my own wipes so cleaned it with them.

This is a hidden gem in the newly restored market hall. We came in to view the new market place so glad we did in finding somewhere to eat very reasonable good value for money. I heard someone they come in every day which im not surpised. We visited on THURSDAY will go back again .They offer a good value SUNDAY lunch will be worth a visit for that for sure Excellent value great choice will be back

Whilst on a recent short break in Scarborough we decided to check out the newly refurbished Market Hall and discovered Deli Delicious. We had a hearty full English breakfast for just £3.70. We noticed that they did Sunday lunch and so went back the next day. What an excellent and cheap lunch, choice of three roasts, two types of potato, four fresh veg, Yorkshire pudding and delicious onion gravy, all for £5.95. Will definitely go back next time in Scarborough.

Cafe looked ok, served quick, but the meatball baguette with cheese was ok but the chip butty for my wife was poor, maybe 6 or 7 chips in a bum yes that's it, poor and tight. I'm sorry I'm putting this but I have to tell the truth.

We called here for breakfast each morning while staying in Scarborough to watch Yorkshire's pitiful cricketing performance against Worcestershire. Spacious seating area in the Market Hall. Very clean. Excellent food and service and good value too. Items on the menu for lunch were varied and interesting and on future non-cricket trips may give it a try.

Been here a few times, always excellent food and service, prices are good too and the surrounds are nice and clean. There is a great menu all cooked fresh and with local ingredients used too. We'll worth a visit. The breakfast is fab

Scarborough market hall has recently been renovated, and my elderly mother was interested to have a look. We found this cafe in one corner of the hall. There is plenty of room as the tables and chairs spread out into the space available. Service was friendly, prices very reasonable for the quality, portion size and freshness of the food. We had a cheese and ham toasty, made with freshly cut bread, very nice ham ( not the ‘plastic’ kind), generous amount of cheese. The menu is extensive but not too large, there are some tempting cakes on display too. We were there on a warm day, the location might not be very cosy in the winter. A previous reviewer mentioned that it was a good place for a solo diner. Although not solo on this occasion, I often travel on my own, and look out for eating places where a lone person does not feel uncomfortable, and can see that this cafe would fit the bill.

Had a call at this cafe and found it ideal to rest ones weary legs. Coffee and tea were reasonable as were the cakes we consumed. Staff very friendly. Ambience left a bit to be desired but it proved to a be a haven for a tired traveller

I was staying in town for a few days and did not want to pay for the hotels expensive breakfast and read about the Deli in the fantastic Market Hall & Vaults. It promised value for money and good grub. So went early in the morning. I wasn't disappointed.

we enjoy calling in to the Market Hall having a coffee/tea with some cake. The home made rocky road or tiffin is a favourite. Nice atmosphere at a weekend when there is some live music on. The pie and a pint is also good value

We had a couple of lattes to warm us up, It was February and the market was cold when we visited. They have a wide and varied menu, for eating in and takeaway, there are many tables to accommodate diners, they also serve alcoholic drinks.

Great little cafe with good simple food and friendly staff. An excellent range of homemade pies and pasties too. Excellent value for money.

We had a morning coffee [Lattes] at the D+D, a looked at the re-furb while we sat in the easy chairs. The coffees were nice and creamy, did'nt sample the yummy looking cakes e.t.c. as we'd had a generous breakfast at our B+B.

Go every week, it's a great place for an affordable lunch/snack. Great food and delicious cakes served by lovely staff and clean and comfortable

Scarborough no sería el mismo sin una visita a Deliciosos para tartas y guisantes. Disfrutamos de nuestro almuerzo allí una vez más. Una gran variedad de tartas con guisantes caseros blanda y la salsa si lo desea. Salsa de menta encantador con. El mercado es tener un poco de una renovación en el momento pero no dejes que eso te desanime tratando deliciosos. Es un café, generosa en las raciones y fácil en su bolsillo.

This cafe is back in the area it used be.The breakfast items are the tops and the coffee is fantastic.The staff are so friendly.They have a deli next door that sells tempting cold meats and hot and cold pies

We wanted a snack after a busy morning shopping and found this wonderful deli on Westborough. We bought giant Chocolate Meringues, a slice of Lemon Meringue pie and a wonderful Cream Scone. There was silence in the house whilst eating what I can only describe as the best piece of afternoon naughtiness going. Absolutely fabulous. The Meringues were light and fluffy, the meringue pie lemony and the cream scone the best my husband has tasted. Well done Deli Delicious.

We wouldn't visit Scarborough without a visit to Deli Delicious for a pie and pea lunch. Yummy as always but we made the mistake of not getting the onion gravy this time but never mind it's a good excuse to go back again!

The staff here are very friendly.The food is very very good and quite cheap. They have some great cakes to enjoy with your coffee too.

Called in while visiting the market vaults and was most impressed by the quality of the food and the reasonable prices.The staff were most welcoming and polite.There was quite a comprehensive menu , much of the food being home made.I'm so pleased we discovered this eatery and would highly recommend it.

Me and group of friends went here on Friday 7th Aug @ 8.20am, not busy at all in fact no1 was there apart from a dark haired misery who didn't acknowledge us all for a good 2 mins and when she did look up she just rolled her eyes and said "yes?" We ordered 3 breakfast rolls, and then she said "yeah" - so again we asked for breakfast rolls please - her response was a delightful 2nd roll of her eyes and then she said "yeah I heard, what ya want on em"At that point we told her no thanks and walked out - she is clearly in the wrong job...wouldn't recommend it to anyone EVER. Rude woman shouldn't be let out in the public domain.

Myself and a group of friends visited this place due our usual haunt being closed due to holiday. We decided to give this place a whirl but after being met with quite possibly the foulest woman I have ever met we decided not to order and turned around due to her horrendous attitude. We will not be returning

We always go to the deli on our trips to Scarbourough and this time we ended up going twice over the bank holiday weekend. We just cannot resist the pie and peas with gravy and mint sauce which is excellent value for money and with a mug of tea it always warms us up on a chilly day. There is an excellent choice of pies and a great range of other dishes too as well as a huge selection of deli produce of course. A must on a visit to Scarborough but hidden away in the old market hall so well worth looking for.

Came across this place quite by Accident; Yes I knew of it's existence but never stopped for a Brew... Until a month ago that is... When we needed to eat somewhere between 2 places and the shortest route to the next destination due to Time.I have to say, I couldn't believe the size of the sandwich my Friend received and with Lots of Filling too; Toasted Cheese and Ham; I have been having the paninis, Done to perfection and the Milkshakes, you really Must try the Milkshakes, particularly when made with Ice cream, they are a MUST in all manner of different Flavours, Oh and Did I mention the Service..The Service is exellent, the Folks are very Friendly and always pleased to see you, the foody Stuff is just Yummy and VERY Good with their prices. You really Must pay a visit to this little Gem of a place.They Also sell varying types of Food Oils and preserves etc.

I'd spotted Deli Delicious in Scarborough's iconic Market Hall a few days ago and made a point of visiting. It's a welcome change from the macdonalds and costa coffees and the food is incredibly fresh. They also sell a range of gourmet sauces at very good prices.

This little gem is hidden in the market but thank god our local friends told us about the epic breakfasts in the Deli. Full english for £3 with tea and lovely fresh tigerbread. The bacon sandwich once again in tigerbread so soft and tasty. Would love to have this round the corner from me would go there daily. VISIT!!!

This place has to be one of scarborough's best hidden gems!!! The breakfasts are the freshest and tastiest you will ever have & the prices they charge I'm not sure how they make any profit!!! Don't fancy a full fry then go for a BEST £2 is a steal, you would pay more for a tasteless pre packed sandwich from the supermarket!!! If your in scarborough and hungry give this place a visit, you won't be disappointed!!!

Had mince beef pie, onion gravy and mushy peas and a mug of tea! All for £2.85! What fantastic value. Steaming hot food brought to the table. Certainly delicious!!Also purchased home made egg custard and a curd cake (never heard of before being a southener) both yummy. Lots of jams, chutneys etc for sale bought some Yorkshire honey too but have not tasted that yet.

Went there today, had a bacon and egg sandwich my wife had homemade soup, had two teas came to under a fiver. Eaten here before always been spot on and unbelievably cheap. Also doubles up as a nice deli.

I have to say this was one of the best bacon sandwiches I have ever had. Myself and my Mum visited for the first time today, we are quite particular how we like our bacon sandwiches, he listened to what we asked for and met all our requirements. The bacon was good quality, the bread very fresh. The drinks we ordered were also very nice (hot chocolate and a latte) and the total bill was just over £6. I am looking forward to trying their lunchtime menu very soon.

Having visited for the past few years we returned hoping for one of their amazing hot roast sandwiches - one of the staff was obviously having 'issues' and was extremely rude to the other staff, it was very uncomfortable. All the other staff were lovely and helpful and obviously embarrassed by her behaviour. It was lunch time but they had run out of gravy, we had pie and peas - very small portions but ok.

Excellent value for money breakfast with the best taste around! Even the coffee is something special, top it off with a warm pork pie and you've made your day!!

I travelled to Filey with my parents and we stayed at Reighton Sands, by chance we visited The Bay complex virtually next door and came across a lovely Italian Restaurant, the meal was superb, we all had lasagnes, and the service was fantastic, the chap who ran it told us about his Deli in Scarborough.It is also well worth visiting, my Mum and I had sandwiches on crusty bread and they were huge, and only £2 each, the Lemon Meringue pie was equally delicious and cups of tea for only 70p. Comfy seating, good ambience, excellent choice, the best in Scarborough for a light bite!!Visit the Italian Restaurant too, I am sorry but I cannot remember the name of it, but it is situated next to the pub and pharmacy, the young lad who waited on our table might tell you a joke or too.its lovely to visit a place where you get service with a smile and friendly banter.When I poked my head in the Italian, the lad was sweeping up, I asked if they were closing and they said not, I asked what time they were open to, and was asked' What time would you like us to stay open to' That really impressed me, the food was so good and plentiful, that we had to have a 'doggy bag' which we enjoyed the next evening.The prices are excellent.

Great breakfasts. Absolutely love the big door stop thick bread. A real hidden gem of a place I. The market. Prices are very reasonable.imo the best brekkie in scarb

Whether you're looking for a mug full of hot Yorkshire tea, a pie or a great traditional breakfast, this is the place. You'll walk away fed and watered for only around £3 or less.
