Deep Blue in Havant

Went in as I couldn’t order on app, when I got to till to pay I showed my loyalty number but was told don’t know nothing about it. I paid then Sse 2 machines and various posters in the shop about the app. What a joke.

Our company always does special things for most occasion's. Today we celebrated Halloween by cooking the workplace Hotdogs and we went to Deep Blue to also get chips. The service was quick and everyone commented on how nice the chips were. They weren't greasy like some fish & chip places are. We will definitely be going back for more when we have future events

Food was great quality, great staff and quick service. Will be back. Opening times are also a plus as many other fish and chip shops shut early.

Driver and time no problem burger was solid and portion of chips missing

I was reluctant to come here because of the reviews however since my experience was good I thought I would leave my review. The service was great, it was fast and the staff was nice, the food was good, hot and plenty. And I also saw them prepare a delivery order that was made, packed and straight away delivered which is not something that you can say about many places. A bit on the pricier side but overall a great fish and chips shop.

One regular cod, regular chips and mushy peas. £14.70 - a really small portion of food……. The cod looked like the size of a fish finery and not many chips. I would hate to order a small portion, must be pathetic! Such a shame really as I have read the reviews and most say the same.

Well, I popped into this chip shop for pie and chips. However when I saw how much they where asking for a small pie £4.00. I decided nope, not for me. Then I decided on a large portion of chips. £4.39, well, I stood there waiting to be served. While the young bleached, blonde girl who was originally serving was chatting at the back of the shop with a young lad. I decided to just have chips, because I was hungry. Well after parting with £4.39 of my money, I returned home to eat them. Well, the chips were not the best I've ever had, they where somewhat dry and brown. And with this the chips, where served upto me in a glitzy come tacky cardboard box, with blue ocean printed all over the outside. Now, Blue ocean, can you please justify your extortionate prices. I mean how much does a couple of pealed and chopoed potato's cost cooked in oil? 70/80 Pence ? And as for the little pie, a pound in Iceland or maybe a pukka pie a couple of pounds in Morrisons, but in a bulk purchase from pukka 70 pence to a pound each? Let's face it you know doubt get your stock discounted as do most businesses. So I feel that I am very justified to say. You blue ocean are charging rediculous amounts of money for your goods. That is a whopping, £8.39 for large chips "questionable in size & quality" and a small pie. Really and truly anyone who does actually pass beyond your doorstep into your shop to buy food, has either more money than sense or just needs to wake-up Blue ocean,please please, prove me wrong by criticising the overinflated prices you demand. So prey, tell me, how much does it actually cost for you to create a large portion of chips, and how much do you pay when you buy bulk your little pies? I could continue with your sausages and chicken nuggets, but we'll stick to the costing of pies and chips, just for for now. Oh, I just remembered, how much extra do you charge for that silly little cardboard presentation box? I would prefer to have had my chips in paper and not pay extra for that box. By the way do not ask me to reach out to you on your website, because I won't. Just answer my questions here on your return reply. Personally I don't believe you can justify your prices, so I don't hold up much hope of a genuine answer. But that's fine, I'll keep returning to review you here there and everywhere, until you do or, just stop ripping good people off with your rediculous prices and portion sizes... And don't forget the cost of that customised paint set box, how much do you charge your customers for it. Personally I want all my money back. Especially after reading some of your other negative reviews Aaron, let's face it, you already know how much your actually ripping your customers off. I want my money back, I do not take kindly to being ripped off by anyone, let alone a two bit chip shop. For your information... I have persuaded 4 families to drop you for their fish and chips. Two of the families have been using Deep Blue tacky for years. But hooray not no more. The other two families, have been using you since 2023/4 and all families, agree that the quality of your products have gone down hill, and are asking far to much for your goods. So, once again, I want my money back so get back to me regarding this. And ladies and gents... Please, give this chip shop a ultra wide berth, and use another chippy 👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯 Update... I see someone has replied to a recent positive review. So where is my reply, to my questions and grievance???

I used Just Eat to order a family meal so I ordered 3 large Cod and 2 large portions of chips and 3 large jumbo battered sausages. The cost was an astounding £64 inc service and delivery. So for that price you would expect top quality at around £16 per meal. When the meal arrived we were expecting hot and good quality fish and chips which they advertise But We were horrified to find 2 very small portions of chips which were charged at £5.49per which looked like they had been sat there for hours. Totally dry and cold. Then came the biggest shock of all the so called large Cod. The 3 pieces of cod looked like they had sliced the fish down the middle and given 3 sliver of fish and given 3 halves Instead of full pieces of fish and charged a whopping £12 per fish. Also the fish was cold and not edible. As you can see by the photos attached. These portions were even smaller than the pensioners fish and chips. On top of all this where the fish and chips were cold and not edible all the food went in the bin and we all just had sandwiches and were bitterly disappointed all my guests said I should write an email to Just Eat and ask for a refund so I did straight away. I am waiting for a reply from them. I feel this place is so highly overpriced. Was this just a bad day and I was unlucky? After reading quite a lot of reviews a lot of people are experiencing the same things. If this is happening regularly then they need to look at their prices and portion sizes before they lose a lot of their customers. I have also compared their prices to other local fish and chips shops and the average is Around £9.00 with chips. Theirs Is £16.00 the prices speak for themselves. However If they could deliver good quality and larger portions then people like me would not complain about the price. The reason I gave them an actual star is for the cleanliness of the property but that's It. I just wanted to say following this review I was contacted by customer service from deep blue which was exceptional. They apologised for the bad food and service and gave me a full refund of the food. They contacted me by emails after my review and were totally outstanding. So If you have any issues with your food be sure to know that they will treat you with respect and refund you without any problem after Investigation after they have a copy of your receipt. Overcooked chips, dry and too crispy

I'm from Bournemouth on the way up to Crawley for tough mudder in the morning I love fish and chips but this chip shop looks really clean and tidy but the fish and chips I had were terrible fish over cooked chips stone cold my mate had the fish pieces and halloumi and chips he said it was the worse he has ever had .I have just rung up spoke to the manager he did say if I paid for it by card I could have a refund but I paid cash so he said I can't have a refund I do have server ADHD and bad metal health which has now effected me I won't sleep very well now .but if im ever up this way again i know to stay well clear of this chippy i hate giving bad reviews as i know how hard business struggle these days this is bedhamton shop manager was on his phone all the time .been to the Lymington one in Hampshire 5 stars nothing like this one

Went to get 2 medium cod and chips and got one medium cod and a small haddock and chips and got ripped off and it come to £25

You'll need deep pockets for this place. Went in for a large chips and battered sausage and it was £7.80. I looked in the box to find the smallest "large" chips I've ever seen. Walked straight back inside to be told that was the correct amount. Got a full refund. Went to the Cheeky Chippy and got large chips, cone of chips, large battered sausage, fish cake and a curry sauce for £12.50 The Cheeky chippys cone of chips was larger than their "large"

I received an order with missing items, albeit due to a lack of staff and drivers, but the shop went above and beyond to make sure I received the correct order and even with no drivers brought the food to me at the end of their shift. First-class.

Turner up 2 people waiting ordered my food waited nearly 25 mins for basic fish cake batter sausages chips and curry sauce after waiting soooo long they had got my order wrong no intentions to fix it at all so I ended up with no food but family got there’s I guess and to top it off the curry sauce I watched the lady put in the microwave about 5 nearly 10 mins before I got my order ended up being cold anyway so yeah won’t ever waste my money here again shocking customer service and no coordination between them at all

Order said it would be 25-30 mins. 1.5hrs later no food and they then said there is nothing they can do as they are closing soon. Made to feel like the whole thing was my fault

Delicious and filling. Came freshly cooked fortunately, as had seen some bad reviews regarding this. Will order again. Would’ve liked some more mushy peas and curry sauce however for £2.49

Lovely fish bites and chips. Take them up, Portsdown hill for a bite to eat, and a view.they do stay warm for the distance.

Just got home with my fish and chips, it is the worst that I have ever had. Hardly any chips, the tiniest bit of fish ever and cold.

For my dad's 75th birthday celebrations....we ordered for 14 people. The Food was absolutely delicious, fish cakes were lovely, cod was the best he had tasted 🤗 everything was hot and and delivered in good time. Thank you 😊

Food was lovely, however I was waiting over half an hour for a portion of cheesy chips and not one of the workers handling food were wearing a hair net. One of them didn’t have their hair even tied up and one wasn’t wearing a hat! Equally for the amount of time I was there waiting I didn’t see one of them wash their hands once. Such a shame :(

Terrible. my overpriced fish cake was rock hard and had 0 taste. extremely small portion of chips that were over cooked. young lad working there was alright but i cant put the blame on him as this poor quality and small quantities seem to be a recurring problem when looking at other reviews. wont be going again .... cant afford to spend 8 quid plus on food i cant even eat.

Sat in van with cold chips that are hard, a veggie burger that's soggy, fish that hasn't got the salt and vinegar we asked for, minus the curry sauce we paid for. Pretty horrible meal. Can't go back as don't think we'll get anywhere with two young lads serving. Won't go again.

With not alot of chip shops being open we came to this one, for £24 we got 1 large chips 2 savaloys 1 battered sausage, pie and chicken bites. The pie was nice, the damages and chicken bites were all good.. unfortunately the chips.... they were dry and horrible they had been sat there for a while it was a shame, did feel for the lad working there he was on his own out the front.

10 minute drive away yet took nearly an hour to get here. Rubbish food, not worth £30 for soggy chips, cold nuggets and bland sausage in batter. Rather get a McDonald's next time.

No chips, burgers had no lettuce, tomatoes or mayo, an absolute disaster. I shall not be ordering again and the just eat driver and the deep blue restaurant were no help either.

Very disappointed with this place I brought two meal deals cod and chips large yes the cod was large ok but I’ve had more cod in a fish finger the whole thing was batter and very little fish and the chips were covered in salt😡 there only thing going for this meal was the drink which they didn’t mess up £18.99 each. We the people are struggling to get through life as it is and when we treat our selfs we get ripped of by our local chippy I hope they lose there business soon greedy beggers. Came for a takeaway last night. Food was great but the service and atmosphere was shocking. Older lady was shouting and visibly annoyed about being there and looked to make the younger team uncomfortable. Made the whole experience a bit awkward really…

Nicely cooked tasty fish (cod) and chips freshly cooked with mushy peas. Prices have gone up but that's life at the moment. Blue light discount available and loyalty card help with costs.

Most ridiculously small portion of chips you have ever had from a chippy of you get a smaller portion anywhere in the country and you have proof, let me know and I will send you £50 cash. Unbelievable. Most chippy fill up a big ol bag. You get a tiny box which is like half a portion for your average sized chippy loving male. Ridiculous

Decent food but absolutely awful price that doesn't match the quality.

This ‘meal’ doesn’t deserve any stars - it was terrible. The chips were stale and dry and we threw them away. It was very late and when it arrived it was cold. We tried to phone them several times but they didn’t pick up. This is the third awful meal in a row but there won’t be a fourth because we will never order from them again. Rubbish.

Don't get mugged on the streets of Leigh Park, just go a few yards further to this chippy in Bedhampton to get well and truly mugged off for a few manky chips and a minuscule piece of cod about the size as two fish fingers.. Only twelve chips were actually edible, the rest were scrapings from the bottom of the tray. The cod was supposedly regular size - I think not. Indifferent, surly, snail-pace service along with extortionate pricing left a bitter taste in the mouth and a dejected feeling of the deepest blue...not worth my money and I definitely won't be going back. Avoid.

Very reasonably priced options with more than enough to eat.

We are so unhappy with our food. We are pensioners and this meal cost us a lot of money. The chips were cold and tasted awful. The scampi was barely warm. I ordered my husband a large cod, but he had to take off so much batter before he found the fish ... it definitely wasn't a large cod!

Microwaved chips & ice cold mushy burger - Paid for 1/2lb and got a quarter. Battered sausages were okay. Not worth over £20 We ended up ordering a box of mcNuggets elsewhere for a fraction of the price and shared that instead. Will not be going back.

Came in tuesday (on halloween). The place was packed since they had a 'free chips' offered for anyone in a costume so it did take quite a while for me to get my order in. Food was really nice and was served by a lad named Austin, he was super kind and gave me a recommendation on what to buy (couldn't decide between chicken nuggets or the southern fried chicken nuggets). Would recommend :) also bigup Lin’s cooking
