With main meals for £6.49 this is an attractive eaterie option. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Doing everything they could for us, including keeping us abreast of how long we were likely to wait. Nicely laid out in spacious and relaxed fashion the restaurant is a pleasure to be in. The food portions were pretty generous too (especially considering the price). Thanks everyone.

Small cafe and a little expensive but food is cooked nicely, staff are very friendly and the young men who were working were very helpful and were working hard to keep up during the busy Christmas rush. There was a queue and a slight wait to be served but this is to be expected during this time of the year, one customer in front of me was moaning about the queue and moaning about the staff but considering it is December and a lot of places are extra busy you'd think they'd have been more polite and patient to the staff, the staff were friendly and worked hard. Very happy with the service received.

Scone so dry that you couldn’t spread butter on it without ending up with a plateful of crumbs Hot chocolate very average. The worst thing was the young guy serving, he was SO painfully slow, I was waiting for at least 10minutes while he served the person in front of me, then I had to wait while he toasted her sandwiches, what happened to multi-tasking? He could’ve easily served me whilst they were toasting.if he was any slower he’d be standing still! What a disorganised, uninspiring cafe. Won’t be back🙁

Arrived, a miniature bottle of sanitizer which was empty! Lattes now served in Costa coffee glass cups!! Which unfortunately was very weak. Nice toasted cheese and ham panni. The tables were cleared by staff but NOT sanitized. Come on please step up, it's should be a pleasant place within a great store

We popped in to Dee Dees and really wish we hadn't. We ordered burgers . When they came, the rolls were really cold as if just from the fridge and the burgers themself had obviously been cooked ahead and just warmed up slightly when needed. A truly aweful offering .

The queue was so long it took more than 15 minutes to get to the counter where there was only one person serving who had absolutely no concept of basic hygiene. She kept licking her fingers while flipping through some papers then went on to serve drinks and handle money, some of the cutlery was dirty , the jacket potato was only hot on the outside but the chilli was actually quite nice.

I've been to some ropey cafes/restaurants etc in my time but this place is beyond awful. Decided on a simple jacket potatoe. With cheese. Because I wasnt allowed butter AND cheese. No apparently it's one or the other. Wasnt aware that rationing had returned. It was bought to the table by some woman who looked like the last time she gave any sort of a damn or shuffled quicker than a sloth was probably before I was born. It was barely warm. When i say barely warm I mean it was probably still edible 10 mins ago but not now. The driest potatoe I've ever cut into without any butter. Certainly not fluffy inside like a potatoe should be. The cheese had probably been in the fridge for a year it was so cold. Between that and a barely warm potato there was certainly no melting even slightly of the cheese. So here I have a plate of barely warm, dry potatoe and hard cold cheese. Wonderful! They'd made more of an effort to arrange the mouthful of salad nicely. I ate none of it. Had one forkful and decided I just couldnt put this rubbish inside me. I did contemplate taking it back but I wasnt in the best of moods anyway and if I'd have approached a member of staff I'd probably have ended up chucking it at them. Their toilets had probably seen better days 10 years ago. Changed my son in the baby changing facilities and I've seen better in service stations. They made a huge fuss with signs about not putting nappys in a certain bin. Seriously? A nappy in the wrong bin is the LEAST of this places worries. Do yourself a favourite and go across the road to the supermarket and get a sandwich DO NOT waste your money here. What a dump.

The picture on Trip Advisor should say it all! I do love a cafe and this was just like a off the side of the road feeling kind of place. Just had a cheese scone and hot chocolate but they even got that wrong! The scone was days old and the drink was cold. Just no..................

We wondered why the cafe was empty but just wanted a snack so ordered two hot chocolates two fruit scones from a off handed girl behind the counter she tried to pass off margarine instead of butter found out later something was off by being ill extortionate price at £ 1.95 for scones which fell to bits when putting butter on them should have known then to return them but told the off handed girl who plainly was not interested in our complaint AVOID at all costs

Tucked to the left corner of The Range is it's cafe offering. The food is reasonably priced but the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. After visiting the toilet (mixed cubicles) we quickly left!

I have had coffee from many places along my travels and a fair few Costas too. Quite honesty can say this was the WORST coffee ever!! The service was not much better either. Not one person could manage a smile. Disappointed and won't be returning.

I think this is a shame but it is probably the worst cafe I have ever been to. Firstly the menu is covered in green blobs indicating that the items marked are suitable for vegetarian or vegans this is a choice people make. My partner is gluten intolerant which is a medical condition and there is no mention of it anywhere. We had to ask and the choice for her is miserable. We however ordered our food and waited ages for it. I became aware that they were short staffed but it probably wasn’t helped by one of the team having lunch at 1.30 and another leaving with her coat on not to be seen again. When the food did arrive it was obviously not hot but we had no cutlery, I went to the counter to find that the trays were empty. After eventually finding someone to fill the trays I waited for quite a few minutes before someone came out and said that the cutlery was in the dishwasher and it shouldn’t be long, it was long, at that point we returned the cold food and got a full refund. This is the first time I have ever done that, I’m not normally fussy but this was very poor. The one good thing was the bottle of Fanta.

Absolutely fantastic 8 course tasting menu! Everything was delicious and well executed. Nick was great, he looked after us all night. It was lovely to see the chefs coming out with the food to explain the dishes. Would highly recommend well done

Visited The Crown last night for a Birthday Dinner celebration. This Country Pub, Restaurant is going from strength to strength since it was taken over by by Lucy and Darryl. From the minute you approach the Thatched building with its beamed interior, you feel as though you have walked into a country cottage living room. Comfortable chairs, relaxed ambience, well stocked bar and a changing menu including fish, steaks, veg, vegan, and a little from afar. It’s always nice to have something with a different twist! Plenty of spacious tables in both front bars and a long atmospheric restaurant behind the bar. If you haven’t visited yet, put it on your eating out list, I don't think you will be dissapointed with the welcome, the friendly staff or the good food.

Well we can’t review the breakfast as we were literally 1 minute late and were told breakfast had finished !!! Gentleman was quite rude to be honest telling us that we had missed it and they were now onto lunch menu. Honestly 1 minute over ! So they missed out on our custom and we went elsewhere. Won’t be back

What a lovely manager. It was close to shutting as I pulled in to sort out my baby from crying on my way home to Essex. The manager even though closed invited me and my baby in so I could feed him and offered me tea. Thanks to her I had a happy baby who slept the rest of the hour journey home. That kindness I will never forget and now we plan to go in every time we make the journey now to see the parents. 10000/10
