Damas Cafe and Restaurant in Nottingham

Went to damas with some friends after they recommended I go. We were seen to straight away with a warm welcome. We could bring our own alcohol. We ordered lots of starters and 6 mains and the food was amazing, quick to the table, fresh, and really good portion sizes. All the staff are friendly and made it an excellent dining experience. I asked to take the rest of my meal home as I was full, they packed it up and gave me extra flatbreads as I'd finished mine. I'll definitely be going there on the weekly! Great place!

A hidden gem, I have spent plenty of memorable afternoons and evenings here, starting with amazing food in the upstairs restaurant, and followed by good tea and shisha at the cozy cafe downstairs. There are a lot of delicious, well seasoned vegetarian options to choose from, so I am always spoiled for choice. Will definitely keep coming back for more, and have recommended it to anyone who will listen.

The best food ever! Amazing meze selection and the taste is very authentic. Really great for vegetarians and meat lover alike. Restaurant is upstairs and offers a wide range of cold and hot starters. Must try the kibbeh (mince lamb stuffed in little pasties) and aryes ( spicy stuffed flatbreads). Vegan options like baba ghanouj, hummus and tabbouleh are super tasty. No alcohol sold but can BYOB. Perfect end the night with tea and Shisha in the downstairs lounge. Place is close to town but worth the trip! A must try!

This is a great little restaurant, serving delicious food, freshly prepared, great value, and bring your own wine. We've been twice and will be going back again. The grilled sea bass is amazing for £10 and oh, the baclava!

Went to Damas last night. Syrian run. Gorgeously delicious food all prepared there by great guy Ahmed, down to the home made garlic mayo. Exceptional value. Ahmed said "we want poor people to be able to come and eat here." My new favourite place to eat. Shisha and Arabic tea in authentic middle eastern decor downstairs. Thanks so much Damas for a wonderful evening.
