I have a new favourite Indian restaurant, outstanding food..... :-)

I accidentally gave him more money and he took it 🤷🏽‍♀️I think he thought I was giving him a tip but I only realised once he had gone

I am so happy I found an excellent Indian curry house that is par excellance👌!!!! If you are looking for fantastic fresh flavours and speedy delivery, look no further.

Curries were 50% oil and 30% onion. Lamb pieces were very fatty. Arrived late and cold. Meat samosas were burnt. Rotis were thick, doughy and chewy. Extremely disappointed.

We found the food to be very bland sadly & the korma chicken sauce had water separation once it was on our plate, not nice at all, also the peshwari naan didn’t have much flavour inside which left it tasting more like a plain naan. Not impressed this was the first time we have ordered food from them and cannot recommend them. However, one good thing it was very kind of them to give 2 free poppadoms with mint sauce the poppadoms was the best bit about the food nice thick & crunchy. Shame about the main meal. :(

Worst experience ever. Ordered food when it was 15 mins to shop closing. They had everything in the menu available. I chose Chicken Madras, few breads and lamb biryani. The delivery was quite late as well, I can understand as it was shop closing time. Dalchini is a very famous chain of restaurants back in India and was having high hopes for it. But to my surprise it became the worst experience. The chicken Madras was not spicy and all watery. It felt like the chicken was just a boiled dropped inside the water gravy to serve as it was shop closing time. There was no flavour or taste in it. I can definitely tell there was no marination done for those chicken pieces as it was too bland. The breads were all too thick on the end almost 2 inches all around not fully cooked. Had to throw most of it away. Lamb biryani was the only thing that was good to eat. Not sure if it was due to a late order and they ran out of time and dishes that I ordered but if so they could have called to ask what else could I have or give something similar and let know of us with an apology. That could have worked better but having ordered late in the night and hungry I had to throw away most of it and eat some bread I bought from Sainsbury's. Please don't repeat this to others.

After having issues with last order was worried about ordering again. However thoroughly enjoyed our order the chefs special was delicious although I do recall potatoes in it last time?...order was delivered early and driver very polite. Good meal all round. Thankyou

Special fried rice was nice but the chicken korma was quite watery.

Food was very late and cold. Rang restaurant and was met with a very aggressive and unhelpful attitude to my enquiry ie ‘where’s my order?’ Will never use this restaurant again.

Ordered vegetarian food, it's good in taste and quantity.

ordered two chickens. got one chicken and one something else. didn’t even want to risk eating it. also, it was worst butter chicken I ever had in my life. it was very sweet. overall got an impression that they add sweetener to all dishes. will never order from this restaurant again.

We usually order from you and our order is perfect and so is the food. However today we ordered and we did receive our drinks I called the restaurant to complain as had just paid the drive and all the man could say was oh well. Totally unprofessional. Will rethink before ordering from you again with this behaviour.

disappointed this time. A stick of tikka chicken taken off the stick and placed in dhansak sauce......the paratha was not freshly made. I know I am Indian. Shame my previous order was superb

Everyone who had the lamb has been very unwell throughout the night.

I ordered a Chicken Jalfrezi and a Chicken vindaloo, the spice was perfect, I also asked for minimal oil to be used when cooking the dishes and I wasn't disappointed, No visible oil even left on the plate, superb. Descent size portions at reasonable prices, definitely order again, Thank you

I sincerely say this, food was really bad. i have no idea how this is called indian food. Very disappointed. Asked the restaurant to make it spicy and all they did was throw in bunch of chilli powder and thats it.

Really nice flavours. Pilau rice was a little bland, probably as it was wet. Other than this would order again.

Came from devon visiting friends and family in reading and ordered from here the meal was excellent the chicken was succulent and the heat was just right, it was so nice that I was going to order another one the night after will be ordering again when back in reading

Set meal for one is great value for money

Incredible food yet again, you cannot find better in Reading. The lamb was perfectly cooked, the rice was light but filling.. the chicken had so many flavours! The potatoes in Sag Aloo were actually firm, which is rare to find these days, with fresh, tangy, tasty spinach. The onion bhadgies were yet again light, mint sauce refreshing- you seriously cannot go wrong with Dalchini. Genuine, lovingly cooked food.

Best tikka masala I’ve had in a long time! Food arrived quickly and still hot. Loved the onion bhajis. Really happy with the 20% off. Will 100% order again. Thank you.

Excellent as always - my son particularly enjoyed his butterfly prawn. Pleased with the 20% offer too will definitely order from here in the near future.

Overpriced food. Biryani was stir fried rice with dry mutton pieces (not lamb) served with a veg curry?!. Shami kebab was actually a chapli kebab served with an unseasoned egg omelette.

Fair prices, food was very good, when we collected, we were greeted with a smile. Think we found our new local!.

Ordered stuffed paratha and butter chicken. Not satisfied. Butter chicken was very sweet and couldn’t take. Stuffed paratha also not good. Disappointed

Food was best Indian I've had in Reading! Madras was a perfect level of spicy, chicken chaat was lovely. Delivery driver was very friendly & happy to wait while I ran to bank as delivery was early.

An average curry and really nothing special. the prawns in one of the main dishes were simply inedible as they were cooked for far too long and so paid a lot of money for a carton of curry sauce.. this was the 2nd curry from these guys and although it’s not awful, there’s no food lover reason to go back. A trained chef wouldn’t of let the food go out in the state..

Good food at good prices. Particularly enjoyed the mixed kebab starter. A good chicken Madras. Would have preferred the pilau rice to be more fluffy but still good.

Food was absolute delicious. Was told they were busy and would take an hour but took an hour and a half in the end.

Driver couldn't locate the postcode and asked for another postcode..does anyone in this country have alternate postcodes for their addresses?!?! Anyways, it was late..hence the food was cold and soggy. It didn't taste nice either. Waste of time, effort and money :(

Whilst the food arrived on time and hot the taste was very bland and the prawns in the prawn roshini were over cooked and rubbery.

We ordered Karai chicken and when it arrived it said Doipyaza on box and tasted like doipyaza too. When calling to tell them, they insisted it's karai chicken and that the chef wrote it by accident even though it tasted nothing like karai. They tried to charge is 2.60 for one piece small piece of naan bread. Sorry but where do we live for you to have such high prices on naan bread when your competitors are charging more than half that price and much better naan. Food was good overall would have been better with more spices and the correct order Thanks

This was my first order. It was the best take out I have ever had. All my family loved it.

I have been using this restaurant for a while and I really like the food, but yesterday the guy who delivered the food told me that for health and safety reasons they are not allowed to come into my flat to deliver the food to my door , like I said I have always ordered from here and it has never been a problem, it will just mean that I will no longer be order g from you guys, which is a shame

The best currys me and my girlfriend have had. They delivery may run late on a busy night, but the quality of the food is superb. Worth the wait!!

It is not exceptable when you ask for a time and nearly an hour later I am still waiting so I will not be using your restaurant again

Not a wow for me. It looks like Indian food but it's really not strong in flavours, quite weak. And the sauce with the papadom is the worst I ever had. A kind of yogurt sooooooo ooooo sweeeeeeeeeet with some food colouring. It tasted eurgh.... So sorry but I'll order somewhere else.

First time ordered from them. Food was alright. Delivery was on time. However left a special note requesting to call me on arrival and not to ring the doorbell which was not followed by the driver. His excuse was he did not read the message. The note is there for a reason which should be followed!! Still gave him a tip!!

Really tasty food. Chicken pakora is spot on and a really tasty curry. Good portion sizes too. Only Indian I use now.

I'm not local - which is a shame because this is probably one of the best Currys we have ever had. Delivery was also great no hassle co-ordinating delivery to the car park of a hotel
